The Crown Rivers in Hillingdon

Visited at approx 0510 Thursday morning. Place was busy but I was impressed by cleanliness and friendliness of staff A food standard expected from weather-spoons arrived quickly and was hot! I’ve previously had mixed experiences but credit where it’s due!

Had a breakfast at 8am , Sunday morning not that busy, full English and a coffee. The breakfast was first class and coffee good. Food delivered within 10 minutes, service good. I will return.

Not a bad place to stop and take a bite and have a drink. Food ok, drinks as expected. Table clearing very slow, so finding a clean table was challenging. Staff cheerful (once you found one) and helpful. The only big drawback is the wait once you used the app to order. Saying that, we will return…..

Ordered their Pasta Alfredo. Absolutely horrible. Over cooked in the microwave. Stodgy sticky pasta and tasteless chicken. This is at Heathrow T5 where hoards of international travellers come and go and THIS is the lasting impression they're given. This should be illegal. Feel free to serve your crappy food at crappy locations around the UK where tourists are unlikely to visit but don't come to T5 and embarrass the country with your horrible food.

Surprisingly good visit. Stopped for breakfast. Good, tasty food served promptly. Nice atmosphere with lots of seating. Very good pricing compared to other T5 options. Staff were great too.

Basic airport restaurant at Heathrow that serves the usual british pub meals. The restaurant looks amazing with plenty of seating and a terminal end location. As with other Wetherspoons, you order online before food is delivered so it takes the customisation away from what you get from a colleage. The food is ok but it fails where we have allergies or intolerances such as when you go get the coffee from the machine, there's no oat or soy milks apart from those in sachets. Service from the colleagues is good however the pricing and the food is below par.

We attended this venue whilst waiting on our flight home. Staff were attentive and service was prompt. Typical London prices as well. Food was typical pub grub, but it was warm and tasty.

We had planned to fly out of LHR T5 and arrived to find our flight was cancelled. We eventually had to travel to London City Airport to get a flight to Dublin but as we were at LHR T5 we called in to The Crown Rivers as we have done many times in the past to enjoy a breakfast at 7am on 13 October. I had the traditional breakfast at £12:25 and my wife had the Scrambled Egg on Toast at £6:50. Both meals were just superb as usual and we both really enjoyed them. Service is always very good at this place. We would highly recommend stopping here for refreshments.

Awful. Serve yourself via an app, no atmosphere, cheap Tetley tea bags, again serve yourself. Worst black pudding I have ever had, husbands burger average, friends fish over fried and very little fish inside it, mainly batter, other friends food was ok. My poached eggs were nice but the muffin, hollandaise, dried up wilting rocket and truly awful black pudding completely ruined it. Had to clear our table before we could sit down, tables too close together especially as people have their hand luggage with them. First time I have eaten in a Wetherspoons and definitely the last! Only chose it as place we wanted was even busier.

Things are Wetherspoons so you get the Wetherspoons menu. Like most people time is limited here. In for a quick coffee and a breakfast. Service is fairly quick and drinks are served yourself from the machines, though when I was there about 1/2 the machines were inoperative. Location is where you want it, airside in T5, near toilets. We visit everytime we visit. Prices though are more than my local (grotty) Wetherspoons

This is our ‘go to’ location for food and drink at T5 . Ordering at table with the Wetherspoons App is really efficient. The coordination between the arrival of our food and drink was pretty good. Thanks to all the staff who work hard to make this experience happen

We always go here before our family Summer holiday - order via the downloadable app. Great for cooked breakfast and toast - not that busy at 5am this year!

Nothing better to start your day that with a Spoons’ breakfast. Never have had an issue here finding a table. Super convenient to order on the app and for food and drink to arrive within 7mins. Staff also great checking everything is ok.

Came here to have a quick bite to eat and couple of drinks before our flight. Service was quick with a good selection of beers, ales and cider on tap. Tap water available via self service at the bar. Only had curry fries which were good but a small portion for the price. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Just be aware some of the gates are quite a walk so don’t get too carried away as we did and ended up running!

We came here just as the restaurant was about to close, pretty tired after an early start and facing almost a 3 hour delay for our last flight. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made sure our order was placed. Even came over to check if we needed and hot drinks refills before they closed them down. The burgers were fine but to be honest we were beyond caring. Really impressed with the staff here.

Edible but not much more. Service was friendly but a little inconvenient to order at bar if you have children in tow. The breakfast sandwich was not great - the scrambled eggs were better but all in all, an expensive breakfast for very little satisfaction. The coffee bar and Bloody Mary set up was nice but not particularly convenient.

Called in here for a couple of beers before my flight. Very busy. I got myself a pint of Guinness at the bar counter & was lucky enough to find a table - there is a section with high tables & seating big enough for 2 people. Having downed this & wishing to have another but not wanting to lose my seat I scanned the QR code & got the drinks menu up on my 'phone , intending to get table service but the site " jammed " & despite a helpful waitress could'nt get it " unjammed ". Luckily for me , the chap at the next table donated me a pint as he had to get off for his flight. Strictly functional venue for food & drink. Not exactly for a relaxing pint.

Where do I start? Downloaded the app before even got to Heathrow. Sat down, ordered drinks through app, put card details in, doesn't work. Try again, same. No issue, I go to lady at front, she says I can't order at bar she'll send someone over. 10 minutes later, no one appears. I go back to her and ask her how much longer. Another 5 minutes she says, and she'll bring my drinks over (she doesn't even know what I've ordered). Time passes, no one arrives. I stop a member of staff and now make my order again. He brings drinks (the completely wrong drinks, but whatever, we have a flight to catch) and now tells me I have to go to bar to pay. I go to bar to pay and staff member behind bar is surprised I want to pay at bar. Manager comes to take my payment. Insult to injury he claims to type my code in to get my Heathrow Points, but clearly doesn't, as 1 week later still no points on my account. I know times are hard and places can have an off day, but my experience at this pub was bad. I won't be back.

When I'm looking for a good, well priced full English breakfast whilst travelling in the UK I often search out a Wetherspoons pub. There's one in Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport once you've cleared security. It's called "The Crown Rivers" now so not sure when they changed the name from "Huxley's".The Monday morning I visited the place it was really full. I decided not to look out for a table and the place my order at the bar as I didn't want to leave my hand luggage alone. So I downloaded the Wetherspoon's App and decided to order my breakfast that way. It worked after a fashion. But I still need to get used to it - like ordering the orange juice without a glass full of ice and fried eggs with runny not hard yolks. And I forgot that coffee is not included in their prices. So I missed out on that. Bit annoying really. But what really annoyed me were the airport prices - significantly higher than in any other Wetherspoons I visited during my long weekend in London. Clearly the menu is the same everywhere - it's a pity that the prices aren't. I suppose that they are targeting a clientele that doesn't have much other choice.

We decided to have lunch here before our flight as we arrived at the airport with lots of time to spare. The menu is fairly standard pub food. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast which came with 2 vegetarian sausages, 1 hash brown, mushrooms, tomato, spinach, beans, toast and eggs (which you get a choice of how you want served). Was good but could have done with being a little hotter (some of the items were lukewarm and the butter for the toast was rock hard!). My husband had fish and chips, a massive portion. They also offer desserts, I’d definitely recommend the banana bread.

Just wanted a coffee, £2.75..they have those godawful machines' selected a Cappucino, bloody dreadful, firstly it was tepid not hot, watery as hell, just dreadful,tried another machine's same result, lukewarm to tepid, watery, bloody dreadful, agreed you can go back for a drink as many times as you like but why would you want a second mug of something so awful. Then tried the Espresso' same result, watery, tepid, nasty, obviously no one at Wetherspoons actually drinks this muck, it's also obvious that the actual coffee content is turned down to its lowest level to maximise profit.Do yourself a favour go and buy a proper fresh coffee from one of the "proper" coffee outlets.

Seated immediately and asked about any allergies. Good choice on menu. They guarantee food arrives in 15 minutes and it does. Staff were all friendly and ultra efficient. My breakfast was delicious and the bill arrived when I needed it to. This is airport dining at its best and the staff were all wonderful. A sanctuary away from the airport bustle. I will eat here every time I pass through terminal 5 which I do often.

As airside airport bars/restaurant go this is not at all bad. We were shown to a table on entry and ordered at the bar or you can order via app - they don't take your order at the table! Pizza and chips + drinks = £25 - not bad food delivered promptly.

After a long trip from the USA we were hungry so before our next connection to Italy, we had food here. You chose a table with a number first and then you went to order. Based on the number of your table they would bring you your food. It was really good.

I dined in Weatherspoons downstairs in Heathrow Terminal 5. I ordered off the Christmas menu - stuffed Turkey breast and winter vegetables, menu stating two slices of turkey breast filled with sage and onion stuffing, served with roasted chanteuse carrots andoarsnips, Maris piper mash, two pigs in blankets, peas, cranberry sauce gravey. Problems: 1 slice of turkey so I returned it and was told by a manager something about a problem with a supplier. I continue with the meal - potatoes like glue, the only gravey was mixed in parsnips, the carrots were not nice. The only thing that tasted ok were the two pigs in blankets. A very poor meals for £11.25. Looked like it was centrally processed and reheated. A poor offering from a major uk pub chain. Never again

Ich liebe Fish & Chips und hier sind es die Besten, die ich jemals gegessen habe. Ich gehe immer extra früher zum Terminal 5 um Zeit zu haben. Für GBP 12-13 finde ich es sehr günstig, zumal es direkt am Flughafen ist. Auch der Preis für ein Pint ist mit GBP 5 völlig OK.
