Lovely pub right on the village green. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. We returned with a group of 17 for dinner and the service and food were great.

A lovely Inn, with fantastic staff. The room was comfortable and the breakfast on the first day and evening meal on both days were top quality and delicious. On Sunday they started playing music at just before 7am which woke me up which was a shame (maybe room no 2 is over the speaker). Unfortunately on the Sunday the Eggs Benedict were not cooked well (though the quality was excellent. Eggs hard, bacon undercooked (I had asked for well done) the muffin was not toasted and did not seem fresh. Though I also had th yogurt, granola, fresh fruit and compote which were all excellect so not a comple fail and certainly my weekend was five star otherwise. I would return.

We were made very welcome from the start, the room was nice, clean, and tidy. The food was excellent we had beer battered, haddock, it was amazing. Will most definitely be staying again. Can't recommend it high enough.

Been tonight for a meal with our two dogs. As it’s Norfolk food week they had a set menu although some usual meals were available as specials. We had the sea bream and the goulash and finished with the peanut butter crème brûlée. Really enjoyed all the food although could have done with a little more with the goulash (still it was really tasty). Staff were great and friendly.

First visit to this pub, although I have driven past many times before over many years. The food was excellent overall. The main course of roast beef could have been a little hotter when served, but aside from that, it was beautifully presented, clearly prepared from the best produce available, and incredibly tasty. The staff were lovely and helpful. The ale was well-cellared, and the premises were clean. Despite the main course being a little cool when served, the whole experience is worthy of 5 stars. It is nice to see a pub full during these challenging economic times. Keep up the good work!

Lovely food .and pleasant staff we go often

Lovely food, the night we stayed was a pub quiz with a choice of curry or fish and chips we had the fish and chips they were delicious. Will go another night to sample the interesting menue.

Lovely pub, great food and excellent service

First visit to this excellent country pub situated in the small village of East Rudham. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and obliging. The food is excellent as clearly evidenced by an almost full house of lunchtime customers. Probably the best all-round lunchtime dining experience I've had in Norfolk!

Had a very nice lunch here with friends whilst camping. Food was very well presented and tasted great.

The Crown is clearly the place to come and even stay. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we came back the following day. The menu is excellent and imaginative, the portions appropriate and the service superb. Half way between King's Lynn and Fakenham and conveniently situated for Sandringham and the North Norfolk Coast. A find and a keeper.

Lovely lunch, attentive service, and an unusual but very tasty meal, ratatouille Wellington, served with new potatoes and peas with choice of meat or vegan gravy.

We cannot fault this beautiful pub with wonderful staff one bit. We have just stayed here for the weekend and from the moment we set eyes on this gorgeous village pub we felt at ease. It is exceptionally clean, very welcoming, and the staff were polite, welcoming, accommodating, fun and top class. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they even called us trying to remind us we had left one of our belongings. The food is out of this world. Contemporary twist on classic pub food, high end in flavour and design. Service was speedy and the staff went out of their way to make sure our dinner, breakfast and stay was perfect. The rooms are warm, cosy and comfortable, spacious showers and the views over the green are just stunning. Fantastic value for money too. We will 100% be back!

Stayed here earlier in March for my husbands belated big birthday from last year. We spent 2 nights here. Lovely clean and cosy room (which was doggy friendly). We ate here both evenings, again our dogs were with us. Food at dinner, and full English in the mornings were freshly cooked and delicious. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Nothing to fault. Keep up the great work Team Crown. We will be back.

Went to the Crown at lunchtime for first time. Very busy because as we discovered the food here is excellent and it is a very popular pub. Highly recommended but ma ybe best to reserve a table before visiting.

We had the pleasure of visiting for Christmas lunch. There was 13 of us, we was seated in a lovely area of the pub. It was very warm and cosy. We are quite fussy when it comes to good quality food and I can honestly say that it was amazing from start to finish. The effort and level of detail given was really appreciated. There was also no rush to eat and leave, which was really nice. Thank you for such a great time.

Cozy and relaxed pub. Great spaces with the bar, tables and a tea room area. I had the fish and skinny fries that was around £14. The fish was a good size was fresh, the fries could have been cooked a tad more. The dish comes with homemade tartar sauce and mushi peas, both delicious. Had great service from careful waiters. Overall a good pub dinner.

Lush food, very clean top service

Drove into the carpark on the off chance Lady managed to allocate us a table . Cannot rate this place highly enough . The roast beef was absolutely first class , moist , tender and full of taste . Beautifully cooked roast potatoes and the most wonderful honey carrot & cabbage . Creamy Cauli Cheese 👌🏻 White cheesecake was out of this world, de-constructed ,with pistachio base . The chef has my full admiration , as do the lovely attentive staff who looked after us . Best pub food I’ve ever had , and that’s no lie . Do not miss going here . Loved it M Jermy

Fantastic Food (For a change) Menu is awesome, Service is A+ If you know food, you will love this place. Chef as of November 2021 is superb using all locally sourced ingredients in the food. You won’t be disappointed.

The good was bang average at best and the service was not great either. Two of us had the burger that was really dry including the brioche bun. We told the staff and they pretty much dismissed it and just asked if we wanted more drinks. The chicken escalope was rather bland. The prawn starter was just about OK. Deserts were very good, hence the uplift from 1 star but for the money it should be a lot better.

Wonderful place to have a meal and dog friendly. Meals were very good and the service was very exceptional. (Sunny day with numerous flys) that was the only sore point.

Cannot rate this highly enough. Great food, great staff! We had a party of 14, they had everything ready for our arrival and were incredibly attentive throughout. All our food, mix of steaks, fish, salads and burgers, was excellently prepared!

Really smart gastro pub and Inn. The food was top class and the people really friendly.

Lovely attentive staff and food was excellent. They have gluten free and dairy free options too. The pulled pork and the beefburgers were delicious as were the posset and the chocolate tarte.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at The Crown in July. Room was very nice and the food and staff were lovely. Pointing us in the right directions with their local knowledge. Chatting to Louise who served us breakfast was also a great start to the day. Location was nice and central for us too. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area again. 👍

The interior was gorgeous, but the lunch didn't excite. Very limited & basic fillings in the sandwiches and, sorry, but chips just aren't a sufficient side dish for lunch

We stayed here just for one night. The bar area is very spacious, and the log fire was welcoming (yes, I know it's May). The staff were pleasant and efficient and the room was spotlessly clean, and even a dog bed was provided for our Spaniel. We were perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was huge and delicious. I would absolutely stay here again.

Myself and partner enjoyed our first visit to The Crown on Saturday, we most certainly will return and will recommend this little gem to friends, the service was excellent and the meals was outstanding 👌

We didn't go inside but sat on the green where the Crown has set up socially distanced wooden picnic benches. Lovely day and attractive setting..but we had our own packed lunch with us!

Love the pub, sitting next to roaring fire but disappointed with food, first course good, great mussels and fried prawns but tagliatelle, fish & chips very poor, fish watery, pasta very bland.

I've been visiting for years now and it never disappoints. Amazing food, fabulous decor, dog-friendly, lovely local beers and gins, open fire to warm yourself by. Fantastic.

Really super sandwich great atmosphere and great staff. Would thoroughly recommend . The mustard in the mayo was just the right amount and the beef was so tender. Hubby had tuna and cucumber with mayo and he loved it. We were on a trip and saw the pub so not near home but we will definitely be going there again .
