The Crown in Flintshire

Called in at the end of a day's (very muddy) hiking and were met by very friendly staff and lovely food! Service excellent.

Weather was typically cold and wet for the time of year, yet inside it was warm and positive. Food was great and staff were helpful. Many thanks.

Lovely pub. Family and dog friendly. We visited as a family of 4 with two kids. The lady behind the bar and taking the orders was so friendly. They even do a menu for dogs.and whe. When we sat down we got brought a doggy water bowl with fresh bottled water and a treat jar, our little staffy was very happy. Food was really nice, especially the burgers and prices really reasonable. Good food menu and plenty of choice for drinks/wine/beer/lager.... large car park at rear too. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend 👌😊

Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere, really good menu and specials board would recommend the steak full of flavour. Thanks to all the staff for a great evening will be back soon

Took my wife for valentines , the food was amazing . Everything cooked to perfection and tasted lovely , staff are extremely friendly and very efficient. High recommend .

We went to try there Sunday lunch which was voted the best in Flintshire. Our first impresions there were several dogs in the resturant where people were eating which we didnt like, the service was slow but they did offer a free drink for the wait. I had the trio of meats of which the beef and the lamb were tough I must say the sweets were very nice sorry to say we wont be going back

Excellent meal as always we've never had a bad meal on all our visits to this pub great food and lovely staff .

Went with friends in November and the food was of such a high quality that we went again in December. Top- restaurant standards. We all felt that every course was perfect. The service was also faultless.

This pub / restaurant has to be the best place to eat and drink we have been to in the last 20 years the food is always excellent the patron and all staff could not be anymore welcoming highly recommend to everyone

First time of visiting, this is a fabulous place with outstanding food. Decorated in a charming festive theme we thoroughly enjoyed our choice from an excellent menu. 1st visit here, but it won’t be my last. We had a lovely Sunday Dinner, it was a good size and the veg was fresh. Excellent service. There is also a nice beer garden at the back for a sunny day.

Sunday lunch was excellent, I was surprised to see that a smaller portion was on the menu which was great for my husband and I .very good service, staff friendly and helpful, Ample car parking. Dog friendly. I would recommend that you book. I would certainly recommend.

We were in the area for a family holiday and booked last minute (I think we were quite fortunate to get a table). Family of 3 with a 5 year old. We were greeted and taken to the table. They gave our son a children’s menu and colouring sheet which kept him entertained. Lovely choice of options. We had a couple of vegetarian options which felt made for purpose rather than for the sake of it. All the food was incredible including Eton mess and homemade cheesecake. What I loved about the place is nothing felt overpriced. Some places feel like they just chuck another £4-5 on the price of something and it leaves you feeling disappointed, no chance here. Would 100% recommend, call to book though.

Yet again another brilliant meal. Very reasonably priced for fresh, locally sourced food. Great traditional pub in a beautiful setting, just inside an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We are not being biased because it is our local...BUT..booked a table again last night and as usual the food went beyond expectations Debbie and her team has done a fantastic job of matching the right balance of superb food to suit ALL tastes.....and keeping the prices at a realistic "Damn good pub grub" price...We have eaten many times here and will continue to do so....The food is absolutely perfect...With selected special nights throughout the week....makes it the perfect place to pop along to and enjoy anytime...Neil's homemade specialities are superb..not enough people realise what eaxctly is homemade...just ask....and once you have been to try them, we are sure you will return......Nothing is too much trouble here, atmosphere is right, staff are very attentative to the right degree....all in all it ticks all our boxes....A pub that welcomes all and somewhere to take friends/family for a super meal.... well done Debbie and all your team....
