The Crossed Peels in Stirling

A traditional old style pub with fantastic tiling & windows. The only downside are the beer prices. But you are drinking in a railway station !!

Went in during a week day and was very quiet. Food was nice (all day brunch). Beer is fairly cheap and it has a large seating area upstairs too.

Chicken came out cold in the middle, macaroni also cold, however seemed to just be a couple of youngsters serving and cooking, who were doing their best and run off their feet.

A nice pub for meetings over a beer and more.

This must be one of the quietest wetherspoons I've ever been into until I realised there was a bar upstairs! Fast service ordered via the app.

Really tasty lemon and herb roast chicken and chips. The refillable cups of tea and coffee are excellent and in with the price of the main meals. Excellent value. Lovely lunch with the family while shopping in Stirling for the day. Close to the shopping centre.

Food and service as expected in a Wetherspoons.

Had pizza and drinks here after a gig and tbf it was quite nice, better than expected.

Bar staff need to concentrate more on the customers waiting at the bar to be served rather than the app orders, shocking the length of time waiting.

Food was amazing unfortunately was a busy night so service was a bit slow hence 4 stars but overall good wee night out can't complain the men's toilet had a queue like a heavy cocaine party but folk just afraid to use urinals 😂🤣

Good place, decent food But has to be possibly 1 of the worst wetherspoons in UK their WiFi doesn't work and my own mobile WiFi signal blocked wouldn't work either this has happened many many times in there place was so busy and I was unable to use wetherspoons app to order I had to go to bar which was Risky as nearly lost my seat and table Fix your WiFi!!

Always a good place for a cheap bite to eat and decent pint

When we first got our breakfast 3 of the 4 were cold so the waitress took them back. When they came back the food was so dry it was unedible and the toast wasn't even remade so was still cold

Very busy Central Stirling eatery with all the best offerings that Wetherspoons pride themselves the length and breadth of the country. First class quality of food,service and beers.

This is a fairly decent Spoons. The service was quick, but the food wasn't quite hot enough. The Halloumi Fries were not very hot all. The rest of the food was fine. It's usually really cold on the ground level, but we got a seat beside the wood burner, which made a difference. It's fine for a cheap lunch. The menu is extensive and not expensive. Nothing fancy but acceptable!

Spoons pub. I cant get used to the 25ml measures for Single Malt but. A nice afternoon here.

Went for drinks here at the weekend, it was busy as you would expect being a Wetherspoons. Amazing selection of drinks available at reasonable prices. Plenty of seating options, over 2 floors. Friendly and efficient staff, with the option of ordering via their app too if you don't want to stand in the queue, although you didn't wait long to be served. It's yout typical Wetherspoons, so you know what to expect.

Weatherspoons usual set up. Large pub on 2 levels with entrances on both levels. Popular with younger, student types, tourists, families et al. Makes for a relaxed atmosphere.

Staff where good. Worse food in a long time.

The food was poorly served, and cold. We didn't enjoy at all. Back here after 5 years nothing changed, I ordered a steak that was terrible, plenty of nerves I ended it up to throw most of it. Never again. Cheesy Chips were warmed in the oven, ended so moist impossible to eat.

We pop in here quite a bit when in Stirling. Loads of room upstairs and down with usual Wetherspoons interior, food and staff.

Not many large tables on the ground floor but very good pricing on quality meals with great service. Your child could also get free ice blocks to crunch or suck on if you ask. Sorry no Coca Cola available but Pepsi is the main soft drink at this pub.

Nicely prepared food for the price and of course as this is the chain Wetherspoons you get a reasonable level of service and food quality in a great atmosphere. One of the cheaper places ideally situated for all to visit as this is on one of the main town centre to castle walks and close to the heart of everything. Service was good if a little slower as it wasn't too busy.

Easy enough to order online but appeared short staffed with only 1 member of staff working downstairs for thise who prefer going to the bar to order. Needs some background music in my opinion. Food was decent enough and served quickly and good selection of drinks to choose from.

Was in Stirling for the day and popped into this establishment for breakfast no need to book as plenty of tables.We didn't wait too long to be served and the food was on our table pretty quickly however our beans where cold but was quickly rectified without any fuss. Plenty of choices and prices are good and no charges to refill your tea or coffee would definitely recommend.

What you'd expect of a Wetherspoons. I've always received good service, the food is decent considering the low price and I really like the wood fire downstairs. Their bouncers are usually friendly too. The only mark down is for the cleanliness of the tables and menus

Good for a quick, low priced meal or drink. Comfortable surroundings. Good for breakfast with veggie and vegan options.

Nice food as with most Wetherspoons. Very reasonably priced. Staff friendly. Only criticism is the stickiness of the tables. Some of the clientele seemed a bit dodgy.

Wetherspoons in Stirling usual reliable menu and drinks

Standard Spoons really. Clean and tidy. Was quiet so service was really quick. Decent breakfast, free refills on coffee is always a bonus. Can't complain.

Standard spoons, with WiFi, power and reasonable prices. Easy going, no trouble during the day and plenty of seating.

There was only one young girl working through the noon rush. Poor thing. Because of this the dirty tables were ignored to the extent there was nothing cleared off and made ready for new customers. Every table was dirty. Poor girl was constantly apologizing.

It's a spoons, 2 levels and gets nice and lively at the weekends. Helpful staff.

only popped in for a quick drink on the way back from sightseeing. Quiet busy as this pub was on the route for the cycling world championships time trial. Nice atmosphere, no one overly drunk. Guy at bar was chatty.

Staff were excellent. The world championship cycling was on, the place was busy. The food was good thanks to very efficient staff.

We enjoyed breakfast which was served really quickly, tasty and hot the girls were lovely and there was no pressure to go after we had eaten, it was clean and cool ,myself and friends are definitely going to meet up here again, the menu had options for vegetarian and mafe it clear about allergys

Food was hot on arrival it was good, apart from steak was overdone..food service was quick. It was busy but staff were quick to get your orders.

Fa parte di una catena di pub che abbiamo incontrato un po' ovunque in Scozia. Cucina sempre aperta, si ordina direttamente dal tavolo, servizio veloce e cibo gustoso. Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

The maple flavoured syrup was not to my taste. The service was really quick for breakfast, lovely fresh and hot.

Tendenzialmente è un posto dove la gente va a bere ma se non avete voglia di spendere per cenare (oppure tutti i pub intorno hanno la cucina già chiusa, come è successo a noi), allora il posto fa per voi. Entrate, salite al piano superiore (al piano inferiore è stato complicato riuscire persino a rivolgere la parola ai baristi), scegliete un tavolo e poi prendete il menù e andate al bancone a ordinare. Io ho provato il bangers & mash (salsiccia e purè) ed era buono, il cheesburger di mia moglie un po' discutibile. Se il tavolo è da pulire, ditelo allo staff dopo aver ordinato. Probabilmente nel weekend c'è il delirio!

Well worth the walk up and down the hill, view from the top is very spectacular, ( mini bus is available if your not up for the struggle)

Great food and a lovely atmosphere

Spent a Wednesday evening here. There are 2 bars on 2 different levels. We were in the downstairs bar and it was very quiet. The upstairs bar was a younger clientele and a bit more lively. Decent decor in the place and you can't argue with their value for money prices. Worth a visit if in Stirling Town centre.

Availability of seating and food and drink offerings were good value and tasty. Just let down by needing a bit of a clean

Lovely food and drinks at reasonable prices, more staff obviously needed as they are run off their feet to keep up with orders, but are doing a great job with a smile for the customers.

Food was luke warm chicken tough as old boots beer on the turn both days.

Thus us not a dog friendly pub although on Google it comes up as dog friendly !

Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Pizza and burger were both very well prepared. Good choice of gin. Branded and popular whiskeys were available. It would be nice to have local small brands as well.

Only problem we had was you had to go up stairs to get coffee food was delivered fast waitress was polite coffee wasn't hot

Called in for a coffee and breakfast. It was early (around 8:30) and very quiet. Bar staff were friendly and my breakfast was “cheap as chips” However I now know why……. Brans cold bacon cold and disgusting sausage and black pudding warm and just edible toast burnt! And where was my coffee? Cup sitting on the bar like I should have known what to do with it. When I found the coffee machine it needed rinsed first (probably first coffee of the day) So staff pleasant but food poor

Stirling is a historic Scottish city so Wetherspoons would be up against it, however in true style they have carried it off, Typical Wetherspoons standards which in my opinion are quite high, Lovely venue with full disabled access, Food of a high standard, one to visit
