Had a great family lunch here . Excellent food and friendly service. An ideal choice for a family meal for 3 generations.

Nice Italian restaurant. Pizzas were amazing, I had the burger but probably should have had pizza. Parking limited outside and someone in our party got a ticket parking in the residential area - so avoid that!

Waited 40 minutes for beef that was so burnt I could have used it to repair an old pair of boots. The potatoes were raw & the carrots & turnips were burnt crisp, nice charcoal flavour.

As good as it gets for a local with excellent service and presentation. They also do the little touches that make you feel classy inside. Definitely will be returning.

I booked this place for Mother's day. I booked online and the booking went through and a email confirmation received. I was then called by a lady from the pub on Thursday 22 Feb, she stated that she needed the deposit for mothers day. I informed her I was abroad and this was no problem but could I do this when I return on Tue 27 Feb. I told her I did not have my cards with me and if she could give me 5 days. She was pleasant and said that I will not get another call and she will leave a note on the system. I then received a further 3 calls (I did not answer as it was £3 per min). I have got back to listen to the voicemail saying the manager said that "the deposits had to be made by the end of the week and they will be cancelling the booking and the manager was not willing to wait for a few day's. I am upset at the customer service. I am annoyed at the fact that if this deposit was asked at the time of booking I would have paid no problem - I would have paid no problem if I was in the UK. but the fact that the customer service was so appalling is a shame as I had heard good things. Shame I will not be able to try this establishment because 'the manager' cannot understand peoples situations and be a little accomodating.

Had a bottomless brunch here on Saturday with 4 friends. The food and drinks were great. Authentic Italian food with gorgeous cocktails. Dj playing music and taking requests. We had a great time will definitely be going back.

5 of us had a fabulous bottomless brunch here on Saturday 24th Feb. The food was delicious and the drinks kept flowing without having to ask. Great atmosphere with a live DJ, will definitely be back.

5 of us went to the CrossKeys for brunch and I just say it’s the best brunch I have ever been to, the staff were really friendly and accommodating they couldn’t do enough for us. They made sure our table always had drinks on we were never waiting. The food was remarkable, the portion sizes with fantastic too. The music was great and the DJ welcomed requests which was also really good. We have already booked to go again, this Resturant is a MUST. Thankyou for being so accommodating.

Really lovely restaurant with a varied choice and resonably priced too. The nicest thing however, was being greeted at the door by a staff member who actually said to my friend and I "good evening ladies", rather than 'hi guys'! Would go again just for that!

Taken here for a birthday dinner and cannot fault the venue, food or service! Portions are huge and very tasty. Would happily go here again! The only issue is limited parking if driving!

Great food, great service, little on the pricy side but worth every penny.

I was recommended this place by a fair few people and managed to visit it for a special birthday celebration. The food is very well presented and tastes great! The atmosphere was great too and they made every effort make it special for the birthday celebration! Now for the service... 1. As we walked in we were waiting for a good 5mins before anyone came to help us. In the meantime there were two different waiters that walked past us and didn’t even acknowledge we had been waiting. 2. Appreciate the restaurant was busy but our waiters were nowhere to be seen and it took at least 20minutes before I managed to get someone’s attention to order more drinks. 3. Food orders were incorrect and when asked if a particular side was supposed to be as it came. Instead of checking or knowing what was on the menu I was told the order was correct despite it not and it having to be re-made. I appreciate the restaurant was busy but the last point is surely common practice to be able to provide info on what is on the menu. Overall I would recommend this place as the food is very very good the desserts are to die for! Please note there is limited parking so be mindful when you are booking a later dinner slot.

What can I say look no further forget about London we had a great evening food was great our grandchildren polished of all the medley of fish they loved it service impeccable simone is on the button just like his mum libby. by far the classiest eatery around great food I think I really need to try more variation on the menu as it looks 😋 once again thank-you for looking after us and price wise who cares when good food hits your table forget about price

What a dreadful experience! Went with friends just for some drinks on Christmas Eve to start our Christmas celebrations. Unable to book a table the day before we arrived and were told table service only. OK, having initially sat at a small table, only ones available, as a larger one became available we went to move to it only to be told it was booked! The bench window seat then became available. Went to move, told no as it was booked! I asked if we could move into the fairly empty restaurant area. Told no, this is for food only! Yes, I agree, we should have left at this point but we didn't. A larger table again became free and we were moved onto it only to be told they had to take one of the tables away to set up for another group of people! I have never felt so unwelcome in a pub before! Not sure what they are trying to portray here but it's literally a village pub with a restaurant. They were happy to take the £200 bill though. Oh, one other thing, stay away from the bubblegum vodka....£16 for a double plus £4 for the lemonade! Enjoy the money, we won't be returning

Amazing place with incredible hospitality from Simone. Authentic Italian pizzas (confirmed by 3 southern Italians!) which were absolutely delicious and used great produce plus a cheesecake to die for. Definitely worth coming here - can’t recommend it enough!

I went to The Cross Keyes with 13 others and we had the 3 course festive menu. Everything from the location, to the service and the food was fantastic! I could not fault them and will certainly be returning 😊

We had my wife's 80th birthday party here with 40 friends. The food was outstanding. the service excellent unobtrusive, warm, professional with everything thought of. One guest was unwell and this was dealt with competently, with compassion and the minimum of disturbance. I have eaten at restaurants all over the world, but this ranks very high up the ranking. Thank you Simon and your staff!

The food at The Cross Keys is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. Everyone is so friendly and always offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place.

My second visit this year is a great place toveat and drink. Italian menu, fabulous interior, and amazing food and drink. The service was excellent. I can't wait for another excuse to go there.

Great roast dinner at The Cross Keys in Woodend. Sometimes when I have a roast out I'm skeptical as to whether it will be better than we could do at home. This certainly is. The flavours are amazing and it was cooked to perfection.

Very sad that people coming in for a drink are turned away as tables in bar area are set for diners. Never saw anyone come into eat whilst I was sat there and plenty of empty tables in restaurant. Was only 5:30 in the afternoon .

Lovely tasty lunch. Hubby said his clam pasta was the best he had tasted outside Italy. Service was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be back again.

It was our 1st time visiting and I don't think we will be returning, unfortunately. We booked based on location and style of the The Cross Keys, we felt the service was good at the start if not a little slow. Left waiting to be seated at the stand while the same waitress passed us twice. A young man seated us and our waitress came over not long after for a drink order. Good start. Then not long after we gave our food order. Starters arrived, the Octopus very tasty and we were checked on, plates were taken away after we had finished. That was the last time we were spoken to or checked on and I had to ask about our food which was just being plated up. Over 1hr 10m roughly after we had been seated and placed our order our mains arrived. The rack of lamb, was only 2 not sure if that is classed as a rack, arrived very tasty with the sides. The burger was ordered and was very dry and not really worth it tbh so much so half the meat was left. An apology from the waitress was made but not really if you know what I mean. The atmosphere was alright there was a large table of people in the middle of the room which were quite loud, people frkm the table kept walking around to speak to other people at the table and we had 2 different people just standing with their backs towards us beside our table. It made a lunch for 2 different to enjoy. We didn't feel the service matched the advertised environment and the food wasn't really worth the money. 2 people, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks for £84 and 10% service charge. It wasn't the nicest lunch we have had and I wouldn't be rushing back unless something changed.

Really disappointed. We arrived for a birthday meal and had specifically order the monthly lobster order. We were then told that our order was too late and the phone number given was wrong so they couldn’t contact us. Not true we checked. Also told they had emailed to let us know. Again we checked and not the case. Not even an offer of a discount for the issue. Whilst the food we ordered was ok it was very overpriced. Service slow at best and staff seemed much more interested in a couple of groups who they clearly knew. Drinks ok but nothing outstanding. Sorry won’t be back for another visit. Could be so much better and there are better places that we will take our business to.

We had an outstanding meal at The Cross Keys. We arrived before the kitchen opened but the chef said it was fine! The menu is amazing, and we'll definitely be back to work our way through it. Service was brilliant and all the staff were excellent.

This is a lovely, good vibes, Good atmosphere restaurant, Comfy seats, Nice and clean, The staff are attentive and friendly. Came here for a birthday booked for 5 people, Drinks came quickly, Food came quickly. Food was fresh and we could tell it was all made in house. Food was well preped, and well cooked, Amazing flavours. The kitchen seems happy because the food seems happy. It's worth the price. For birthdays they do a special birthday dessert which was just amazing. Really had a good time here. Will come again.

Had to wait ten mins for table to be cleaned and laid. 2 other couple waiting. Staff were wiping the floors due to spillages. At 7.30 ran out of Asparagus!! So disappointed. Too long waits between courses. Charged for 2 bottles of wine £50 each when we only had 1. Appears overload of staff all sauntering round. Long time coming from kitchen. However, food magnificent.

Took the family for my wife's bday. This is the 3rd time we've been since the refurb. Love this place. Top notch decor, always clean and nicely presented. Feels like a premium place to have a bite - ideal for any major events / anniversaries. We always comment on the toilets too! Wonderfully clean - you can tell the management are paying attention ensuring the customer experience is excellent. And of course, the food went down well too! Hope to be back for the next family birthday! Thanks to all the staff at the cross keys!

Wow, what an incredible evening with family we had at the Cross Keys lobster night. Couldn’t have wished for a more Friendly place that is since it’s recent rejuvenation has turned into a very classy restaurant indeed. Yet retains that friendly family vibe. The food was fantastic and really excellent value. The staff are all very attentive, professional while still being warm and friendly. This is a real gem in Bedfordshire and I would urge anyone who hasn’t been there yet to plan a visit because I guarantee you wont be dissatisfied.

Pitstop early evening meal on the way to a Bedford Park concert. Really exceeded expectations. Lovely exterior and interior, professional service and exceptional food. We had garlic and mozzerella pizza to share as a starter, which was huge but too good not to eat it all. Seabass / baked gnocchi mains were also delicious. Thank you.

A really good Sunday roast and tapas.

I went for lobster night at The Cross Keys and I must say, I was thoroughly disappointed. The lobster was dry and lacked the fresh, succulent flavour one would expect from a seafood dish. Additionally, the price was steep for what I received. I was expecting a delectable seafood feast but instead, I was left with a subpar dining experience. I do not recommend this place if you're looking for a satisfying lobster meal. Save your money and look elsewhere.

First time here celebrating a family members birthday start to finish every thing was exceptional the staff where on the ball and very attentive the food was incredible and the restaurant it’s self was modern very stylish and absolutely immaculate. Will definitely going back highly recommend.

Very nice, higher end pub. Food was delicious & service was very welcoming. Very close to a 5/5, however things I would improve to achieve this are that the bottomless brunch has 3x options (Beer or Prosecco, Gin or Cocktails) which are at different price points. However the beer option only has 1x choice of beer; Fosters which doesn’t fit the profile/atmosphere of this pub. You can opt for other beer choices such as Moretti and pay the Gin price but I think this strategy needs changing. You also feel as if you are walking onto the set of the Only Way Is Essex, was very nice but I think it would benefit from being toned down a touch. Very nice place to go though; highly recommend giving it a try!

Great atmosphere, great service, lovely location. Food is below average and very overpriced for what it is. Bland, simple.

Located in a quite suburb, the environment and atmosphere are beyond my expectations. The range of dishes is decent and well tasted. Price is fair, £20 for 2 course of lunch is a good bargain. I am glad that we have this restaurant in Wootton. It’s a perfect location for family or friends gathering.

Large group booking for birthday party the management and staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The food and service is excellent in a great environment, the restaurant has a “high end feel to it, it is now definitely our go to place in the Bedford area.

We have been here once or twice before but yesterday was the first time back since the renovation. They have done a good job. It’s a lovely atmosphere, we ate early as we were going out and service was spot on, food was of great quality. Would definitely recommend.

We were here for a friend's 70th birthday and it is a well maintained pub/restaurant. The staff are very polite and courteous. The food was very good, prices are reasonable. The only minor thing is that there is not enough car parking. Other than that it is well worth a visit.

The atmosphere and decor is great, nice areas to sit and have a drink near the bar. The restaurant and sitting was a nice place to be and the service is very good. The selection is good and the food is really good. I would say not the cheapest but when the quality is there it’s well worth it. Treat yourself to the 18oz steak. Food was good, atmosphere was very good, friendly staff. Main down side was the temperature, it was far too warm, many of our party found it uncomfortable, wear layers!

Just like the Ginfest, rude staff! Bottomless brunch was 90 minutes and we were kicked out as soon as the clock ticked 90 minutes. Also the Palma ham pizza tasted like beans and cheese on toast. Will not be returning.

Stumbled across this pub on a dreary Saturday lunchtime in November. Our spirits were quickly raised on entry and we had a lovely lunch of tapas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to try a main meal one day.

I came with two of my colleagues and we had such a great night, we didn't even realize how long we'd been there! I think the price of the meal reflects the quality and taste of the food, so I was definitely expecting it and think it's a fair price for what you get. I got a veggie pizza, chips, non alcoholic mojiito and the waffle dessert. All were amazing. Already planning my next visit here- staff were so friendly and lovely too. I can't forget to comment on how STUNNING the new renovation is, everything looks so elegant and beautiful. 10/10.

View and location of this Bar is amazing, it’s located in the county side so make it’s more beautiful. The staffs were nice and very helpful. For food whatever we ordered it was delicious also they served the fresh pint. Totally recommend to go
