Visited recently for the first time. Fantastic place, really good food and great service. Will definitely be back.

Staying in Cardiff for one night so did a google search. Found this place. Amazing food, salt and pepper ribs were delicious as was our mains. Pity we don’t live here.

An absolute find: I was looking for somewhere that did gluten free. And this place was amazing. I called before hand an Eric the owner said he can do all but two of the dishes gluten free. So we went - two couples and the food was delicious l, fresh and Eric was the most attentive host. Best Chinese I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to revisit.

Highly recommend the crispy duck . From the first time my husband took me there i was hooked . If you havnt been give it a go its lovely . The restaurant is always clean ,tidy and inviting the menu has a really good selection of dishes spoilt for choice . For starters we shared the bbq ribs , satay chicken skewers and my favourite the spring rolls all served on delightful plates and compliments . For mains we had the sweet n sour chicken the honey beer beef which is gorgeous with some chicken n mushroom rice and noodles . The portions are of good size too . They have a nice selection of wine too . The staff are friendly and helpful a small family run restaurant nothing is to much trouble . You even get some celebration chocolates when paying the bill . We visit quite often due to the good service and quality of the food . Let them know it's your birthday they will even give you a cake and a happy birthday song too . A must visit will keep returning

Title: A Gem. A modern twist on classical Asian food. Still good after all these years. The menu is a journey through the best of Pan-Asian cuisine. Malaysian, Chinese, Thai and Japanese. Each dish was a well presented and bursting with flavours that spoke of authenticity. The standout for me was the roast Duck in plum sauce. This restaurant is not just about great food, the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. A destination that should not be missed. A resounding 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It’s always a pleasure to eat at the Crispy Duck. The food is always of a high standard, my favourite being the teriyaki salmon and pak choi. The atmosphere is relaxed and Eric, the owner is attentive and friendly. It’s my go to,place for authentic pan Asian cuisine and in my opinion, cannot be beaten.

Absolutely fabulous place. Owner and staff were attentive and efficient. Food arrived quickly, piping hot, fresh and not greasy at all. My 8 year old had lessons from the owner on how to use his chopsticks and encouragement to try new things. The duck was delicious...to be honest it all was! Well worth a visit.

My wife and I are regulars here, we absolutely love the food. An amazing pan-Asian selection that's consistently delicious. Standout dishes include the rendang curry, the katsu, edamame beans and pretty much every rice dish. Portions are just right, and the service is always friendly. It's head and shoulders above the bog standard Chinese takeaways. Highly recommended

Very popular on a Saturday night especially as it was Chinese New Year's eve when we visited. I tried Singapore Satay meat skewer with peanut sauce for £4 which I found to be chewy. This was followed by Malaysian style spiced stir fry with both chopped chicken and beef. This came in a light soy sauce with crushed ginger, garlic, onion and fresh chillies to give it a bit of a kick. The starch was provided by egg fried rice. Absolutely nothing to complain about with this course. Very clean toilets and friendly but busy staff.

We had a meat eater, vegetarian and coeliac in our party and managed to all get lots of great food that we enjoyed. Wasn't as tasty as I thought, but was still really lovely food and most of all I appreciated how many dietary options there were and the lovely staff/service.

We came here as a family of four impromptu and were lucky to secure a table after a drop out. The menu choices of Asian cuisine was fabulous with Thai. Chinese and Japanese dishes. There was plenty for everyone. We tried a variety of starters and mains including crispy duck pancake, salt and pepper rib, tempura vegetables, Katsu chicken, vernicelli, chicken teriyaki and Malaysian curry. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We can see why it receives so many awards! It was also very good value with drinks, starter and main we paid less than £100. Would highly recommend!

We have been going to The Crispy Duck since it opened many years ago and always loved the food and great service. Last night the family took my Mum there to celebrate her 91st birthday. As usual the service, food, choice and general ambience were all excellent - and they were very busy. Thank you so much to Eric and the team for yet another great evening out at the Crispy Duck - we’ll be back soon !

Have eaten here and had food to take away several times now, the food is consistently delicious, the owners are always welcoming and helpful, and you can get gluten-free Cantonese-style sweet and sour chicken, the kind that's battered and fried first. You have to ask about what dishes can be gluten-free, some are anyway, some they have to add a note. They'll also adjust spice levels for you if you ask, partner is very pleased he can get extra-spicy Singapore noodles that are gluten-free. Other regular favourites here are the tamago gohan, the pak choi, and the crispy shredded beef (all available gf).

Went in with quite a lot of expectations, but let down. Ramen was below par, and the vegetarian option with Kimchi was worse. For some reason broth was smelling fish, being a vegetarian, it was quite difficult to even finish rather small portion of serving. For the price tempura, Ramen, crispy duck roll was all quite small. Wife is coeliac so gluten free a must. It has been a very long time since able to find somewhere to buy gluten free Chinese food. The food was amazing, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, lemon chicken, shredded beef, beef chow mein, and egg fried rice. Everything was amazing, portions were great. Food good quality. And just a total pleasure. Also as my wife is very sensitive to gluten it has not made her react in any way so very well done. We will be back
