Great food really enjoyed by 4 non-vegans! We went for a birthday celebration and wanted to try something different and the family running this place didn’t let us down. I can highly recommend the poutine, katsu tofu and spaghetti “carbonara”. Filling portions so didn’t have room for dessert!

Excellent vegan food as always married with superb service and a warm welcome. I had the mushroom fusion and my daughter had the carbonara pasta, after vegetable gyozas to start. All were delicious. It was purely by chance we’d booked on the last night for the present owners so it was lovely to have an opportunity to wish them well and thank them for all the wonderful vegan meals we’ve enjoyed during their ownership. Here’s hoping the new owners continue to build on the excellent reputation of the outgoing owners.

I don't tend to leave reviews, but after another disappointing visit I felt it only right. Unfortunately not as great as it once was. We've visited TCV many times, but the last few times the food has been just about average. We had the "fish" & onion rings & they were so greasy they were inedible. The man who took our order was pleasant, but I hate to say this, stayed too long at our table chatting when my friend & I were trying to enjoy our time together & catch up. Some people may like that, but it just felt awkward after a short time. I would love to say I can't wait to come back, but like most people find, enjoying a meal out can be an expensive event, so we will unfortunately be trying somewhere new.

I thoroughly enjoyed my non fish and chips super yummy ❤️ my husband the non vegan had cheezy garlic bread and he loved it. The portions are very generous and the owner and the waitresses were just so nice, chatty and helpful. It is just fabulous to not only be able to enjoy vegan but to go into a restaurant and be so welcomed. We will visit again to try the rest of the menu ❤️

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. We were served by Graham, who was very helpful. The food was delicious, the portions very generous, and good for the price. Would highly recommend!

What a treat to have a fully vegan restaurant in Truro! Really tasty food and the friendliest staff. I had the pasta and it was so deliciously creamy, my mum couldn't believe how flavourful the fish and chips was. Will definitely visit again and I will be recommending to friends.

We read a recent and rare negative review with a mix of disbelief and disappointment. Disbelief that one of our favourite restaurants should have received such a poor review and disappointment that someone should feel the need to complain over the late arrival of coffees. Yet again the food, atmosphere and service were wonderful. Starters, mains and dessert were delicious (recommend the fish and chips). Graham was attentive (never intrusive) and the food and drinks arrived in very reasonable time. We look forward to our next visit. p.s. We nipped into Costa Coffee recently. The coffee order was delivered really quickly.

Absolutely wonderful evening spent here for my husband’s birthday. Really friendly service with a smile, felt like nothing was too much trouble. I happened to find the cornish vegan through my friend who is vegan and she said the food was amazing, unfortunately i came here and the food was awful no flavour or real taste, when we asked for 2 lattes to be brought out before out main (we made this extremely clear) the man serving out the front gave us our drinks WITH our main! he was to busy chatting about random stuff with other customers and he kept talking to us as if we were stupid. when we expressed our dissatisfaction he just said there was nothing that could be done now. DO NOT come here, its not worth wasting your money. As well as this he then started rambling on about himself whilst we said we needed to leave all he did was just chat, i get its friendly but not for 20 MINUTES, it was ment to be a relaxing date night, ruined completely

Love this place! I have been here numerous times over the past few years, and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived just after the lunch rush at about 4, and the lunch gluten free options were sold out, but I was grateful to have the Thai red curry. And it was the absolute best Thai curry that me and my partner have had! The service is also great, and the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. It was very quiet when we were there, but the atmosphere was still very comfortable, we didn’t feel awkward. The coffee is great here too!

Amazing variety of flavours, very pretty upon arrival, we went back both days we were in Truro. Desserts were taken home because we were so full and we even bought a Badge pin for a keepsake! We will be returning

I love this little restored in central Truro, gorgeous owners and fresh, delicious food with is well priced. It has a small menu that offers a lot. I go regulars and have not been able to go past the red Thai veg curry or Mac n cheese. My daughter always orders the mushroom fusion because she is obsessed. Great cakes that are made in house.

I booked a table for dinner at The Cornish Vegan to celebrate my fiancée and I getting engaged. As this was an important occasion, I wanted to make the evening extra special - Rob and Graham were very happy to oblige! They took the time to get in touch with me to suggest flowers for the table, champagne, and even went so far as to prepare a special dessert and lovely card. Thank you Rob and Graham, you made our evening very memorable and we will most certainly be back. For anyone looking for somewhere to host a special occasion, look no further than The Cornish Vegan.

The Cornish Vegan is our absolute favourite restaurant!! One of the very best vegan restaurants in the country, and we’ve been to many! My girlfriend and I go here regularly and for special occasions, because the food is just to die for! Amazing flavours, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked every time. We love the variety on the menu too! You’re spoilt for choice! Although we have to admit that we go for our favourites too often… we particularly recommend the ‘fish’ and chips, the Canadian poutine, the burger, the hotdog, the onion rings, and the mushroom arancini! All so so delicious!! The vegan fish and chips is the best I’ve ever had and I have it pretty much every time! The atmosphere of the restaurant is always so welcoming too. The decor is lovely, comfy chairs and tables situated ideally for the perfect meal out - whether it be a chilled lunch with friends or a cosy romantic dinner. There’s something on the menu for everyone - vegans and non-vegans alike! They’ve got various gluten-free options and options that can be adapted for children too! Perfect food, brilliant value for money, lovely atmosphere, friendly owners, just amazing all-round. The Cornish Vegan deserves every bit of praise and success. Thank you!! 🖤

My wife treated me to lunch on Saturday after a particularly challenging week. I was excited to try the Cornish Vegan as I've walked past it for the last 20 years and never once been inside, but recent reviews had piqued my interest. We ordered the poutine to share, 2 Rueben sandwiches and couple of excellent Bloody Marys. The service was great. Attentive and with attention to detail, clearly interested in ensuring the experience was to the customer's tastes. Of course that should be standard but it's less common than you think. The drinks were perfect, seasoned well, and with the option for more heat and salt if desired. And then the food arrived... Oh. Yes. The Poutine (a dish I haven't had in 25 years) was fantastic. It was really tasty, moreish, and filling but with a sprinkling of spring onion and fresh chilli that kept the palate fresh with every bite. (Poutine, while delicious, can become a bit of a slog to finish...happy to report that none of that fatigue set in here) The Rueben sandwiches were show-stopping. A really well conceived array of flavours that bring to mind the classic, meat Rueben but build off that familiarity to create a taste sensation all of it's own. Very, very highly recommended. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly as soon as the doors opened and the atmosphere was warm and lively. To top off a wonderful lunch, the in-house loyalty scheme means we now have yet another reason to return. Top marks!

Went in there for lunch today at 1425 not realising they closed at 1430. At no point did they rush us. The service was fantastic and the staff were super friendly. The food was equally as impressive. The F*sh and chips were really good. I have craved fish since turning vegan and this was better than the real thing. I only turned vegan a couple of months and they spent time at the end of the meal discussing it, despite being well past their closing time. Can't thank them enough for such a fantastic experience.

Four different meals ordered, and all were absolutely delicious ! My wife is vegetarian so she just adored it, I’m a meat eater but it just doesn’t matter when food tastes as fantastic as this does !
