Went in for breakfast bacon butties quick half hour visit sorry no photo

The pub had different daily specials that included alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to compliment your meal. I went with two of my coworkers. We had heard great things about it while checking out the area. The fish and chips were pretty tasty, right temperature, not too much of a fish taste, and the fries were nice and crisp. It was my first time trying mushy peas which were an absolute delight. My only concern was when I ordered at the bar, the bartender had an issue with me paying cash. She made a whole ordeal about the GBP that I had, she called the manager and said they can’t take it. Luckily, I had my credit card on me. But very awkward and slightly embarrassing to essentially be told your cash isn’t good here.

Sirloin steak had 3 lots of grizle in it...Rest of meal OK...never issue on Rump steak but opted because of extras ....rather pay extra to Rump next time!!!

Our favorite Spoons in Peterborough, they are all good, never had a complaint.

Service with a snile.. One of the larger pubs in Peterborough, service varies widely, ***Bar staff have a habit of serving SHORT measures & over charging if you let them get away with it***. If you order via their app, be prepared for a wait... Still chaotic

So on this occasion when ordering a drink and handing the bar lady £10 for my drink, lady came back with incorrect change so i brought it to her attention, lady then insisted I had given her £5 which was incorrect as I didn't have a £5 note to start with. This particular member of staff needs to take more attention to her service. 11:55.

It's a Spoons- it's okay. Odd rules outside about smoking which are pretty unnecessary. Staff seem quite overwhelmed with glasses piling up everywhere. Other than that it's fine.

Always a regular stop off before a Posh match when visiting Peterborough. As Spoons go on this ocassion it was spot on. A busy Saturday lunch time but all drinks and four meals were delivered promptly, hot and with a service and a smile. The sign of a good management. Some other venues could take some tips from this team.

I visited the College Arms during a recent business trip to Peterborough. It’s a fairly typical Wetherspoon’s with decent food and drink at a reasonable price. I had a very good Burn’s night burger with an excellent bottle of Shiraz and some water. The bill was around £26, which you would expect to pay for the wine alone in most restaurants. I know it was only Monday night, but the place was reasonably busy and not uncomfortably so. I ordered from the app at my table and service was very good.

Always love an impromptu stop at the College Arms for a glass of rosé and some food. Had the 3 for £12 deal which is really good value. Service great, cant fault the experience.

Ideally located in town and offers an excellent value range of food/drink, especially the cask ales. Despite a restricted service due to Covid-19 the staff were very busy, but effecient and helpful. The interior of this interesting building and garden have recently been refurbished. Not the place for fine dining, but great for a hearty bite and great beer choice.

The security guard was unnecessarily aggressive with no apparent reason. Pushing people down the stairs is not only rude but is an actual violation without no grounds or threat this sort of behaviour should be dealt with.

All I can say is WOW one off the worsed pubs I've ever experienced in my life bar staff so bloody grumpy when serving you an age to get a drink the place was an absolute mess left over glasses on every table so me and my friends decide to stand at a tall table when one off the door men told us we couldn't stand we had to sit I ask where he says down in the corner over there there's table with piles off empty food and glasses and only 2 seats for the 8 us maths is definitely not his strong suit so if you want to go to a weatherspoons in Peterborough go to the Drapers Arms where unfortunately we had just left tables clean and cleared straight away staff happy to serve and door men welcome us in

Nice but more of a drinkers pub few people eating.

I arrived after work to have some basic food and drink. Aware why I was coming to the pub. The smell of stale beer when I entered was off putting. Never mind tired and hungry I sought a table. Every table was full of empty glasses, cans bottles and half eated food plates. I thought just a rus .3 hours later they are still there. No collection at all. I decided to forget the food . Bar staff inept and unresponsive. Glasses piled high and aware there is a certain type of customer but not good to try to mimick the customer loundly under your breath when more sober customer look on. Be respectful of your market! Eventually served and got what I paid for. Drinks fine and price great . Anyway still sitting her= observing filthy glasses and food on every table while bar staff chat surrounded by bar glasses on the bar. Serving food and ignoring the unclean tables. Will this put me off weatherspoons. No. Will it put me off weatherspoons peterborough . Hell yes .

I had called on the phone the day before I went to make sure it would be ok for around 10 people to go there after attending from a funeral, I was told on the phone that yes that was perfectly fine there should be plenty of room for us. When we arrived I spent over £100 on food to make a bit of a buffet table for people (as I had asked the day before but they said they don’t do that) We had all spent quite a bit on rounds of drinks, as the food was being brought out to us only half way through we was then to be told “ sorry you need to hurry up as we close at 6pm” Even though we only arrived around 5ish None of this was said to me over the phone or before/while I was purchasing a large amount of food. So food was wasted as they never even brought the other half of food out. As this was straight after a funeral we was extremely upset.

Great place for a few beers and excellent fish and chips. Service was poor. No condiments offered with our dinner. Atmosphere was good.

Lewis was amazing. Providing everything we needed! Great guy. Give my man some credit. 10/10 for a drinking sesh

Didn't eat here but watched as the dishes were coming out to the customers, it was very fast and everything looked in order.

This is a very nice wetherspoons with pleasant staff. Been here many times. Sat in garden area because beautiful day. Their is a small smoking area on one side. Many people were smoking in non smoking particular 1 party of 3 adults and 3 children and baby. Staff did nothing. We had a portion of loaded chips at a cost of over £6, very little load of cheese and bacon,very poor value. Certainly needs looking at. Otherwise a very nice pub and garden. Staff please stop smokers in non smoking,surely this is illegal.

2 Steps to get in to it, had the pram so had to bump up it. Really nice pub, bright lots of light compared to the other wetherspoons in town. Lots of outdoor seating

Pretty good. It's a spoons so you know what you're getting. Service was alright staff friendly. They had some problems with tills and peds when we visited but they fixed them as quickly as possible to be able to continue serving people. Food was good. Front door was out of action for an unknown reason. The time me and my friends went to leave the other front door was locked too and they were already outside. Seemed the management were escorting everyone but regulars outside for an unknown reason at about 6pm. Might come again when next in Peterborough will see how I feel.

It's just a lovely place to go with friends and family .. I've been going here for a long time now.. Thanks to all working here.👍😁🤪

Breakfast was horrible eggs like rubber Bacon burnt beans cold Slow service

Ordered a vegi burger suppose to come with onions,salsa,peppers and guacamole. Consisted of a burger ,and abit of lettuce. 4 ingredients missing is a joke.

We've gone to the College Arms Wetherspoons in Peterborough a few times, and sometimes it's been excellent, but other times not so great. The good stuff is that this place is like a typical Wetherspoons Pub, where you can usually find lots of seats. They even have an upstairs area where the bathrooms are. The drinks they serve are typically yummy, and no matter when we go, it's usually a fun time. But there have been times when things didn't go so well. Imagine waiting for more than two hours for your food, and nobody tells you what's going on. It's like being patient for a long time, but no one explains why. We had to find a worker to ask about our food, and they said they would talk to a boss and give us our money back. Sadly, that refund never happened, which was a bit disappointing.

If you are looking for a typical English pub with typical cuisine in Peterborough this is the right place

Good old Wetherspooons! Always know what you're getting, probably the cheapest place in the area (unless you're a student) and usually, like this one, with a good beer garden. Nice vibe, imagine it would be very busy at weekends though!

Clean tidy and pleasant Wetherspoons

Decent low priced beer but food not so good. Steak didn't come with the promised sauce and the chips weren't very warm. Returned and tried the lemon chicken with spicy rice and an extra Mediterranean salad and it was really nice. Much better. IPA beer and Shiraz red wine good too.

place has a distinct aroma about it, both inside & out, haven’t visited the pub in maybe over a year & things really haven’t changed, bar staff seemed happy enough but from what I saw the food wasn’t exactly appetising & tables not cleared frequently enough, cheap drinks though, will probably visit again in the next five or ten years or so

Stayed here for some time . We had an excellent Waiter called Conrad . So short staffed however Conrad still offered help .

We went there for the first time, the food was great. Fast service, welcoming and spacious environment.

We waited for a very long time to get served, multiple times we were overlooked, and people next to us that just got there were served first.. But the general atmosphere was a good one..

I didn't eat this time round but I have in the past..... Everyone who was eating looked very happy ☺️☺️

Far from a clean venue, but you can not fault the staff who are dealing with all sorts of weird!

Nice staff and pub, dreadful dried up mixed grill. Had it at 17:30, must have been on the stove since 10:30 previous night.

There was a security camera in the ladies bathroom!! The camera was pointing at the bathroom seat toilet, Absolutely disgusting!!

This WS locally is the only one that pours you a pint of Shipyard correctly. It was delious with a surberb head. Apparently it must be poured through a blue nozel like here to get the excellent pint. Alas in nearby Wisbech and , Dereham and kings Lynn they do not use the correct nozel so you receive a dead pint. I have written to their head office several times to no avail. Thank you Peterborough WS for a great pint (,had 3). The cheese and ham panini was delious,perfectly presented, delicious. Thanks to all the staff here. The brown girl in the kitchen is amazing I think her name is Rosa. Food was brilliant. Service done by a girl called renata I think she was amazing also. Everything was cooked perfectly and service was outstanding. 😁

The food was excellent apart from my friends order.she ordered fries not salad.we told the waitress who proceeded to fetch the manageress.I said I definitely ordered fries not salad as my friend does not eat salad.she went to check at the bar and returned to say I had ordered salad.I said why would I order salad when my friend doesn’t eat it.she then went and fetched some chips and nearly threw them at my friend 😡.the fries were the same price as the salad so we weren’t trying to get something for nothing.she definitely needs retraining on her customer service skills.the rest of the staff were really friendly

They definitely improved the pub with a new beer garden but most the bar staff are letting the place down, a lot of the bar staff are to busy talking to serve customers and the chef, Everything he cooks is served cold.

Went to go in the college arms yesterday was told cause I wasn’t local by security I wasn’t allowed in cause of football even though I was trying to find somewhere for food before a long 3 hour bus journey just cause of football wasn’t allowed in what a rubbish excuse

Very nice place to gather with friends, although sometimes all the tables are very dirty.

We love Wetherspoons and regularly go for a reasonable priced drink and meal. Now I know it’s cheap and cheerful food but unfortunately this spoons the food was horrible. We had chicken bites and southern fried chicken and they smelt and tasted of fish like they had been fried in the same oil that fish was done it, they were also really greasy. Staff were friendly and the drinks were good as normal just would not eat here again.

First time I have been. Arrived early about 5.30pm. At the time plenty of space and not to busy. Hour later was very busy. Ordered food it came out quite quickly (20min) . Price very competitive for starters and main plus a drink it was £25 for two people. Food was what I would expect from Wetherspoons good but not out standing. Service was quick and friendly, would go back

My wife and I called into the College Arms for one of Wetherspoons early meal deals about 4:00pm on Thursday 20th April. We are regular Wetherspoons customers, but first time at College Arms. I used the app and ordered the smaller portions of fish and chips and scampi and chips in error. We pointed this out to our server, and we agreed to pay the extra and have the standard sized meal. Rather than re-cook the meal, extra fish and scampi was added, and the meals returned to us 10 mins later. Unfortunately the fish was overcooked and the chips and mushy peas were cold! We couldn’t eat very much, and left very disappointed….

Decent drinks reasonable prices like most Weatherspoons needed more staff to keep up with the cleaning up glasses everywhere
