This pub is awful. So disappointed with service and food. Man/chef was impatient and kept talking over me when I booked. On arrival, the man/chef was miserable, not giving anyone eye contact, walking quickly past customers. Food was awful, probably from a frozen bag. Very small portion of small skin on chips like a child portion, luke warm. Lasagna small flat portion. Garlic ciabatta no garlic taste. Salad garnish abysmal. Will never go again. Expensive. Asked staff was the food home made, she said I don’t know.

Lovely meal at Coach and Horses. Food amazing 🤩 and plenty on the plate. Staff very friendly and lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to coming again 😊

First visit here today as a family with dog, pre-booked to ensure we got a table and glad we did as it’s very popular. Food was superb! Best roast we have had locally in a long time! A very homely atmosphere with first class service a nice selection of beers.the log fire gives you a feeling of gone by pubs it's worth dropping in to see the Christmas decorations and enjoy the hospitality.

When passing this local hostelry we noticed the car park was always full. This may be a good sign we thought and tried it for lunch on Saturday. We were certainly not disappointed- the food was just fabulous. On the strength of trying the lunch we booked for the following day a Sunday roast. It was the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten not cooked by myself! The portions were very generous indeed and served on hot plates. The Apple pie is scrumptious that’s if you have room for it! Superb value too. Thank you Heather for your cheerful and smiling service - we really appreciated it. Stuart Bickerton-Starkey you must be doing something right too. Had a 65th family birthday meal last night and have to say everyone in our party was more than happy with the service and food we received. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, food was well presented, tasty and plentiful. We will be returning soon.

Warm and welcoming pub with proper pub food, had the special burger with 4 butchers steak burgers for £17 and it was the best burger I’ve had in years. Food is reasonably priced from £10. Locals were welcoming and staff are warm and friendly, 10/10 will be back. Guiness was also fantastic.

We were extremely well looked after at my late Mother's wake held at the pub. The buffet food was fresh and tasty and the bar service was fast, professional and efficient. Thanks so much to Landlord Stuart and his fantastic team.

Cracking pub! Sat in the beer garden in the sunshine, food was fantastic especially the pizza from the stone pizza oven!!

Called in on the off chance, not been there for a couple of years, what a transformation! Warm and inviting, great food off the BBQ menu, decent wine and a nice pint- all at a very affordable price. With out doubt, we will be going back.

We visited midday looking for a bar snack, it definately didn't dissappoint, with a great selection of freshly cooked food at affordable prices ranging from £9.00 for hot sandwiches inc. chips and sides. Lovely ice cold beer but the best bit was we were able to sit outside with views of the fields to the rear.

The food a service was excellent.

Walked in at 23:17 and told it was closed so wouldn’t serve us. Disappointed because they had just served a group of lads that were still drinking. Please update your opening times which say you close at 00:30. We walked all the way from the station for disappointment.

Visited on 23rd April, had a lovely roast dinner with plenty of meat and roast potatoes, the service was very good, absolutely no complaints whatsoever, will highly recommend 😀

Lovely pub, nicely cared for and excellent, friendly staff. We found ourselves here unexpectedly following a road closure, the kitchen was closed but the staff made some chips for my children who were starving. Fantastic!

Lovely place excellent food and service . The rib eye steak was cooked to perfection juicy and tender heaps of flavour, highly recommend .

Called for food, turns out no one is cooking food on this particular evening. Tuesday 1st November.

Had an evening meal, 2 adults and child. Children's portion was massive. I had steak burger and partner had steak pie. Both of us could find no fault. Food was delicious and hot and great big portions. Pudding was also great. Cute pub environment. Would definitely return if back in the area

Popped in on the off chance they could fit us in for Sunday lunch as we were passing. Young girl behind the bar was very accommodating, found us a table and served us straight away. The food was so tasty and I knew we had made a good choice! Both young female members of staff were friendly and in my opinion a real credit to the premises! Please pass on my compliments 😊

Gorgeous pub that we found as we drove through the countryside, we stopped and just asked if they could squeeze us in for a Sunday roast, straight away no problem, they made us a little table up in the bar and it is such an amazing place, old fashioned pub that everyone has a picture of in their minds, and the dinner was spectacular, we both had the roast beef and the biggest Yorkshire pudding ever, i just ate mine and the wife couldn't finish hers, a real gem of a pub. Recommend 10/10

I ordered Hunters Chicken, the presentation was very good only surpassed by the taste. By far the best Hunters Chicken I've eaten in years.

Mix up with booking (our fault) was sorted straight away and they quickly re-arranged a table of 6 for us to have. Food was fantastic and we all enjoyed every course. Service was wonderful and we had a great evening We are looking forward to returning soon. Thankyou

Called in for a quick drink today and was absolutely disgusted at the way the Barmaid spoke to a junior barmaid who was clearly new to the job. It was vile! She should be ashamed of herself, nothing short of bullying!

We went for Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. The roast beef and turkey was amazing. Our Daughter had the sticky toffee pudding which was also amazing. Clean, family and dog friendly. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Sunday Lunch was booked for 10th April for our MG Car Club we had a scenic drive through Wales ending here for Lunch booked with Stuart a few weeks before the 10th Then ringing final numbers a few days before On arrival staff had been briefed on our requirements Staff were friendly, efficient and professional nothing was too much trouble food was served promptly hot and delicious no complaints from anyone in our party Well done Stuart James and Team

Been once before and wrote an excellent review. Came with family this eve and the food was a complete let down. Soggy pudding like rice with the curry and horrible soggy chips. The fish and chips were terrible, soggy horrible chips and near none existent fish with thick tasteless batter !!! We complained to the bar/waitress staff and she said she'd told the chef but no one came out to see us... Totally unprofessional.. We paid the full amount but we'll never return and will definately not recommend!!!!

Recently returned to The Coach and Horses for lunch with friends and enjoyed a truly tasty treat. The menu choice, although reduced since our previous visit, offered variety and had something to suit each member of our party. Everything arrived piping hot, beautifully presented and enough for the biggest appetites. Add to that the cosy surroundings and you'll find the perfect place for a lunchtime treat.

We went for the first time a few weeks ago. Lovely surroundings and dog friendly... We asked for a menu, ordered drinks which cane quickly but it took a good while for our food order to be taken, around 20mins or so.. When the food came it didn't dissapoint.. I ordered the ribs and my husband ordered the steak, both we're excellent.. A bit pricey for a pub meal but well worth it. Jackie and Paul from Holywell.

We have been to the Coach & Horses many a time after Julian bought it and opened it up again. The food has always been phenomenal and everything to die for. So we decided to book last Saturday and felt it was very short lived. We arrived and ordered drinks. There was no lime juice to go with lager or any blackcurrant just orange which is a no no. One of our party asked for a Malbec and they didn’t have any. The menu was really short and basic. We are mad steak eaters and for a Saturday night we expected off the grill. The Google page with the menu has not been updated so when we saw what was on offer on the grill we booked. So disappointed when we had the menu presented to us as NO off the grill option. Not one steak option or mixed grill available. Also no pizzas available. Had the website been updated we would not of booked here with what was on offer on the menu. We even asked if their were any specials board to be told no. There was approx 5 basic starters, including duck spring rolls, chicken gougons, and a cheese tart which was not a tart at all and just a slab of cheese on a puff pastry lid which one ordered and regretted. We felt the spring rolls were not home made and if there was any duck in them we were amazed it was just like a duck flavour. The chicken gougons again felt as if from a catering pack and not home made. There was a very basic menu of mains which included a whole rack of ribs, fish (to order) & chips, cajun chicken, sweet & sour chicken, half a chicken or a burger, which we had. There was also a couple more options of vegetarian and vegan. We asked if any jacket potatoes were available to be told no. We asked could we change sweet potatoes to chips to be told they would have to ask. Then came back out and said nothing so one of us hanged there choice and ordered sweet & sour instead and a side dish of fresh home cooked chips. The meals came with frozen French fries but slightly thicker than McDonald’s like a KFC. Yet on the side dishes you could have home made chips. We were not being awkward we absolutely love the place but it has slumped in what it used to be. Orders were simple asking if possible to change the fries to real chips and eventually after going into the kitchen and a staff member speaking with chef he accepted this. However when the meals came out they had French style fries on every meal. So they went back except for me I was starving and just wanted to eat. We had 1 of our party who doe not eat chips so asked if the chips could be exchanged for extra salad. The meal came out with frozen style French fries and an extra portion of salad which that small bowl was charged to our bill at £3. Surely if asking for no chips but a bit more salad that should be swapped and not still delivered chips and charge for salad? Eventually the orders came back out with real chips. And we started to tuck in realising one who ordered sweet and sour with an extra portion of chips was still waiting for her food while others on another table received theirs. If this pub had of been packed the incidents could of been looked over but it was a Saturday night. There was 5 of us, a table of 4 behind us, 4 opposite the bar. The conservatory was empty and the bar area had about 5 people drinking not eating. So we felt for a service of so low the deliverance was poor. The starters as said were acceptable but very basic and felt out of a catering package. The mains we will say were nice, two had the half chicken who said it was beautiful and really moist. I had the whole rack of ribs and it was beautiful. Another had the sweet & sour and said it was gorgeous and the other had the Cajun chicken who said wow it couldn’t be faulted. So it’s mixed feelings by us but hopefully the coach & horses can review their menu. Until it does we won’t be back which is with sadness considering we have been many times. Please accept this as constructive criticism and not negative. We know you are far capable of more than this.

My wife and I visited this pub with our dog Milo. After what was a lovely Sunday Lunch I went to pay. I settled up and as I did a very large dog (the owners Mastiff) pushed passed me in order to get to Milo. It pushed my wife out of the way and tried to attack him. I had to swing Milo out of the way on his lead whilst the owner wrestled the dog into the other room. As I lifted Milo the dog had a second go and fortunately just got a mouth full of fur! The owner tried to laugh it off and said hes a ‘big softy’! He wasn’t! He then also tried to say that he didn’t know there was another dog in or he wouldn’t have been allowed down! This was at 19:00! Absolutely 100% bang out of order! Please be careful if you take your dog here. Both Milo and Mrs were really shaken up. Shouldn’t be claiming ‘Dog Friendly’!!!!

Thank you for the excellent welcome and service combined with all our meals being served together. We choose from the lunch time menu and portions are enormous. Lovely wood burning stove and as a small group we had an area of the pub to ourselves. We will be coming back.

A freindly, pub/Restaurant, variety of drinks.ie:- beers, lagers, wines and spirits etc. Exceptional food, the Sunday dinner is a must. Ample parking, beer garden etc.

Passed the Coach and Horses on the way into Flint and thought how lovely it looked so on the way back popped in for drinks and food What can I say absolutely amazing . The 2 guys serving were so friendly and attentive and food was delicious will definitely be going back x best pub I've visited in a while .

Came here tonight for the first time due to our local place having a power cut and we are very pleased we did !! One of the nicest Sunday dinners I've ever had. Freshly home cooked and the gravy was amazing. Massive portion too. The pub was so cosy and warm and the staff were very attentive. Will be returning for sure !! Thanks guys (for fitting us in last minute too!!)

My family enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast at the Coach and horses near Flint. It is my first experience having ever eaten or had a drink there.The bar staff were very welcoming and friendly and we didn't haven't to wait long to order our drinks, and not long later our food order was taken. The food came out in a timely manner and was well presented.Importantly the food was delicious and with two plates of turkey, one beef and one lamb all the plates were empty at the end. All the food was cooked perfectly. The ice cream they served was of a high quality and the deserts were great.We had a great time and we were well looked after by the front of house staff.A great meal out and we will certainly be visiting again.I would highly recommend, you will need to book in advance though.

First visit to beer garden Sat in beer garden as it was a sunny afternoon. Ordered the double steak burger and fries. It was absolutely amazing and definitely recommend.

Went here for early tea. Covid safe. Very quick efficient service and food was delicious. Huge portions and piping hot to boot. The 3 of us were stuffed after.

WOW! As I haven't visited here for a while since I've moved away I thought it would be nice for my Wife and I to pop in and have a meal and a beer. We both ordered the same meal, the pan fried cajun chicken in garlic butter and we were both blown away by the delicious taste of the meal and the fact that this meal wouldn't be out of place in a fine dining restaurant (at double the price also). We will definitely pop in again when passing through from Anglesey to Chester/Liverpool etc in the future.
