Had a lovely evening meal food was amazing so tasty and fresh .. cosy old pub with caring staff couldn’t fault a thing just sad we are going home tomorrow as would definitely return best food we have had all week … thanks so much and if ever back in Tenby we will be in 😊

Amazing pub! A lovely old pub with lots of personality and a fantastic vibe. We had dinner here and both had an item off of the thai menu, and without a doubt was the best thai food we had ever had. Good veggie options and such amazing tasty food. Great cask ales, two hand pumps on and both were in great condition. Really lovely staff, very happy to help me with dietary requirements, and my partner's favourite part of the evening was when he put a tip in the jar and the bar staff rung a bell and you could hear the chef shout thank you from the kitchen!

Manager/owner not at all helpful but was good food and a lovely pub

We are in Tenby for a few days we found the Coach & Horses just by the hotel, We asked if they had a table for two yes was the answer, The wife and I both had starters and steaks for the main meal both were excellent , Very clean and a good atmosphere and greeted with a smile well worth a visit.

Beautiful food, best Thai green curry I've ever had.

Very friendly pub, great atmosphere, games corner with loads of board games, jenga, cards etc for kids. Great music all night...mainly mowtown, 60s-90s. Staff were brilliant with the kids and good quality pints! Very clean and welcoming.

Staff have to share tips even though only 1 barman deserved them, why am I tipping a barman who was so rude, unwelcoming and ignorant, a tip is for someone who deserves it, not for a disrespectful ungrateful arrogant individual like the tall bald guy they have working there, if you have no people skills then the public sector in a tourist town is not for you, only giving the 1 star because of the 1 barman who had a smile on his face

Incredible thai food in lovely charafterful old pub. Freshly made and super authentic would highly recommend.

Staff were so polite and professional, Thai food was so delicious and it was nice and cosy in there. We played a game of Jenga while waiting for our food. That was good fun! Compliments to the chefs. ❤️

A wonderful experience. Enjoyed the food and hospitality so much, went everyday during our stay. The inside so welcoming and full of nostalgia. The food was perfect and price reasonable. A perfect place to relax and enjoy, I would highly recommend and it shall definitely have a place in our hearts.

Excellent pub, we ate 6 different meals there over a week, each one really good. Friendly staff, you may need to book at busy times.

Great food and service with friendly staff

Quite a quiet atmosphere but attentive staff and excellent decor made this a very pleasant visit. The food was the best Thai food I've eaten! I had the Thai green curry which was by far the best I've eaten. My partner had the stir fried chicken with ginger & lemongrass which she said was beautiful. Highly recommended with compliments to the chef.

Beautiful pub with lovely people and stunning food! Went in 2022 for my birthday to tenby and ate here, still look forward to returning couldn’t fault anything at all and considering it was quite a busy weekend the amazing people working still managed to squeeze us in for dinner and a pint! Highly recommended

A welcoming sort of pub with some good beers but regrettably overpriced “ pub grub”. The staff pleasant enough and the atmosphere ok. Whilst dining at a busy time could feel quite “snug”. Overall sort of ok but won’t be making a second visit.

The chef was a lovely fella but the owners and the the girl behind the bar need to go and have a good look at them selves.dreadful service and thieves in the night !

Lovely atmosphere, great service and yummy food.

I ate here with my family during a short vacation. Everything is fine, it is a very old pub with a vast history, interesting place. The food was good, the prices average. I really had the pleasant surprise of being served by a waiter with the same nationality as me, great service. I have only one thing to criticize here and we have problems with the management in this country, why can't I leave a tip to the waiter with the card!? I was shocked to see that I cannot do this in 2023, whoever is responsible for this please solve the problem, because for me it is a pleasure to leave 10% from the bill if I am satisfied and I do not always have cash.

We called in here for drinks on our way to a gig at the De Valance Pavillion. Others had the same idea so it was very busy but there was only one person serving behind the bar. The other member of staff disappeared to the bar in the restaurant as soon as we arrived. Obviously not their fault but, as there was a sold out gig in the Pavillion, the management should have planned ahead & got in extra staff. Several customers were served in front of us which was a bit irritating. As it's such an old building it's small and, whilst it's very atmosoheric & cosy, it did get a bit claustraphobic & stuffy with so many people in there on a very hot day. We managed to get a table between the door & the bar but it wasn't very relaxing with other customers squeezing past. There is an outside area at the back of the pub but that was also packed. Nice clean loos but both the cubicles are really small (one is tiny!) so not very accessible for customers with mobility problems & there didn't seem to be a disabled loo in the place. We got the impression that the pub focuses on the restaurant side of the business & doesn't encourage customers who just want to drink there.

Two excellent Thai meals , highly recommended.

Nice pub, oldy wordly, with open fires. Great little sun trap at the back. A little pricey but food was lovely.

Just popped in whilst walking around, my wife went to the bar & did feel like she was being ignored a little bit at 1st. Some people were eating & the food did smell nice, we were grateful for our drinks on this hot day, a back street boozer would describe this place one that has a little bit of charm.

Average. Some of the food was very greasy, especially the onion rings. To the point where my wife left most of her meal as a result. Wouldn’t recommend, but wouldn’t tell people to avoid either.

Brilliant meal was excellent this is the second time we have visited this pub on 2 different trips to Tenby well worth a visit the staff are nice and friendly the pub is very nice clean good cause for money as the potions are big .

A delightful Thai green curry, though a bit spicier than I am used to, which I suspect means that it was authentic. Washed down with a couple of pints of Staropramen

Absolutely terrible meal which we couldn't eat any of. Advertised triple cooked chips but they were frozen shop bought. Lamb very chewy and inedible. Steak and ale pie tasted of offal. Really awful but they did refund me.

Visited spur of the moment and pleasantly met with great service, food and atmosphere. The table service and attention was second to none, food service and quality also absolutely amazing. Steak was to die for! Will gladly return on my next travels

What a great place :) Full of history and character. The staff were so helpful with my dietary needs. They really couldn't have done any more to add to the fantastic experience. The food portions were really generous and we were able to take a Doggy bag home with us. Will definitely come back here again :) Thank you so much for the warm welcome and all your help. ♥

Went in there at 10.10pm to be told sorry we have called last orders . When on line it says that they close at 11pm . Bar man had the personality of a gnat , so rude .

A friendly welcoming traditional pub with a lovely warm stove and excellent beer. The landlord was quite chatty and everyone made a fuss of our dog. Felt very at home here and will most definitely be back soon.

Food was amazing and well worth the money. And its a shame I can't rate higher. It took a hour for the food to arrive. And two times the staff brought the wrong food to our table.. its such a shame because the food was very good.

Lovely oldy world pub, steeped in history. Excellent evening meal, reasonably priced and a very enjoyable experience. I might add it was a unique experience with the landlord announcing the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth 2nd. One moment in history which we will remember for ever. Many thanks to the staff and landlord for a very memorable evening.

Had another great meal in a fab pub

We visitd the Coach and Horse for 5 nights whilst on holiday in Tenby. We worked our way through the menu over the 5 nights and everything was excellent until the last night when we being in Wales decided to have the lamb .what a mistake it was. It waa so tough we couldn't eat even though it was the 2nd most expensive on menu. I mentioned to the staff when I paid but they refused to compensate me even though we had eaten there 5 nights

The best part about this experience was the couple who were behind the bar/seating people they have changed the review from one star to two. They were rushed off their feet however did not let it impact their service. Unfortunately the food was not what I expected as restaurant quality, it was something I could make at home. It was oven chips that were sold as steak chips and we had lasagne and gammon. Again the lasagne was very basic with little flavour. The gammon was okay but the chips let it down. The pub itself was very quirky which was nice but I think for the price the food needed stepping up. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

No dogs allowed contrary to other reviews that it is a dog friendly pub. Man behind the bar is rude too.

After reading all the reviews & being dog friendly decided to give this place a go. Didn’t even get to order food as the guy behind the bar said “NO DOGS” Please bear this in mind if you want to take your dog there. Read the other reviews with no stars, as others have been refused entry with dogs.

Miserable owner I think. Not very chatty and to busy eating his dinner than manning the bar. Not sure if he understands hospitality as you look after your customers as they bring the income in as a man was waiting to order a meal for his family. Not dog friendly unfortunately.
