The Clock Warehouse in South Derbyshire

We had a family and friends meal for more than 30 people and we couldn’t have had a better meal and time together. All the staff were fantastic, from booking the meal, to handling our orders, to looking after us in the evening - nothing could have been any better organised as everything went so smoothly. We had the whole of the downstairs area to ourselves, and I would recommend requesting that if you have a really large booking. The food was fantastic and everyone got what we had ordered. Thanks for taking such great care of us - we will be back.

The food was exquisite! All of the flavours just complimented each other so well. All staff were attentive and helpful including Iden. Huge compliments to both chefs. Please visit you won’t be disappointed

We call here on a Sunday for the Sunday lunch and never disappointed . We had the lovely Ella serve us today who did our check back and looked after us . Would highly recommend this place.

We booked a table for a work team lunch, the manager was very welcoming, attentive and generally excellent! Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The Clock Warehouse is in a quiet setting with plenty of parking, ideal for meeting up with colleagues. We have already booked their function room for another work meeting and team lunch!

I came here with my family and we all ordered a Sunday dinner. The service was quick and the food was really enjoyable. I think what stands out for the pub besides the great food is the location. It is situated on a canal so great for long walks before your meal. We had a lovely time and will be back again

Was visiting the area and stayed nearby. We spent the day/night here enjoying food and drinks outside in the sun. Relaxing vibe beside the water, if in the area again will be back. Had the steak and blue cheese, was ansome!

Lovely location but the service and cleanliness really let it down. We set outside under the canopy, had to clean the table which is okay as it was busy, don't mind. However the highchair which was kept inside was absolutely filthy. I ordered on the app which was good, friend ordered at the bar, one person on the bar when it was very busy and she was not friendly at all. Food was nice but expensive for what you get. Wouldn't go back in a hurry.

Tuesday Evening Quiz night Great fun, with a range of different question types which made it interesting and fun. Ryan , the quizmaster for the evening , did a fantastic job and ensured everyone was included and got the chance for a repeat question. It was laid back and very enjoyable. Just £5, and we will definitely give it another go.

What a fabulous pub beautiful setting, good selection of fine ales and excellent staff and although we didn't eat there the food that was being served looked top notch

We have visited The Clock Warehouse quite a few times over the past few years but in our opinion it has deteriorated significantly. We opted for the lunch time menu today, 2 courses for £15.95 - however the choice was limited and portion size poor. I struggled to find something I liked and everything seemed to be served with chips. I decided to choose a sandwich from the ‘snack menu’ and asked the waiter if it could be on wholemeal or granary bread instead of a white crusty roll, to which the short reply was NO - quite frankly I think this is very poor in this day and age! I settled on a chicken salad from the main menu which tasted OK but very overpriced! My friends’ deserts were described as cherry and apple crumble, however, absolutely no sign of a cherry. Overall our lunch was very disappointing and needless to say we will not be returning any time soon or recommending it to anyone.

Lovely location an old building. Came for a drink a few months ago so decided to come for a meal this time. The food was OK, a bit overpriced for the quality. We had to wait ages for someone to take our order, no apology given. When we had finished we decided to have a dessert. We waited over half an hour for someone to take our order and clear the empty plates but not one person came anywhere near us. Fed up with waiting I went to pay the bill but was left standing while staff members passed by me. Would have been nice to have been acknowledged and apologies for being kept waiting. I don't know if they were short staffed with it being a bank holiday but an explanation would have been nice. The couple sat behind us were also not happy with the service. We were sat in the conservatory side and felt like diners in here were forgotten about. It's a great place for a drink, by the canal and nice outdoor seating areas.

Was dubious about telephone method of booking but all worked out well We arrived 30mins early so had a drink in the lovely canal side area as our table not ready However it was ready on time and was by the huge window with great views Service fast and efficient so useful with a 5year old and small baby The food was hot and staff pleasant and approachable

Terrible service. Rude staff and bad customer service. Had to do everything myself from finding cutlery and sauces to even paying the bill. Over priced bland food. Food order was messed up. No apology given. I couldn’t wait to leave

The Clock Warehouse is a special place for us. It was the first real "Pub" I took my wife to when she visited me from the US 20 years ago. It was the place we brought our family for a large pre-wedding meal 18 Years ago and we just love it and love the building and surroundings. We were visiting the UK recently for the first time in 9 years and wanted to get together with Friends and Family for a large meal so we settled on the Clock Warehouse. We booked a table for 8 and were seated immediately upon arrival. It was our servers first night so there was a manager shadowing her and she did really well. The food was great as we expected it to be and service was almost perfect other than we ordered Dessert and it took so long ( almost 30 minutes ) that we ended up cancelling it and finding alternate arrangements. Especially disappointing for the kids in the group but that was an excessive amount of time to wait for Pudding / Dessert. They were very apologetic and took some money off our bill but I am deducting 1 star for that. Beautiful place, good food and easy to get to. Recommended.
