Reasonable food, but nothing special. The toast we had with our avocado & poached egg had been barely toasted, so went rather soggy. Fish burger was okay, but rather tasteless. The seasoned chips were the highlight and were excellent.Our young waitress was a delight and was very interested in looking after us. Nice cakes on offer.Slightly dodgy toilets resembling those on a dated petrol station - the gents is outside and you have to squeeze past other guests to get your them. No mirror at all. Really not very good.Prices are reasonable.I would go back, but wouldn’t rush to do so.

This is a cafe which looks so much more impressive inside than out. It has really nice food, it is. spotlessly clean and has lovely friendly service.

Called in today for a light lunch. The food was delicious. All freshly cooked and very well presented. All for a very reasonable price. The portions exceeded expectations also. All in all really enjoyed it.

First visit after the pandemic last Sunday morning, tables&parasols outside and table service from lovely staff. We had the full breakfasts and they were beautiful we didn't mind the small waiting time as it was very busy as it was a lovely day we had a lovely young girl serving us with a smile and very efficient there was sanitizer and felt very clean & safe. Was lovely to be able to help the local small businesses again and we will be returning soon.Thanks guys,Sally&shaun.

I have been coming here for years with family & friends, the service and food is still excellent! (albeit the now difficult times). Claire & her staff made us feel welcome & safe plus all Covid 19 latest government rules 10/10 adhered too. I am a support volunteer carer for a Guide Dog owner and it’s a pleasure to feel safe & still enjoy our weekly treat. Thankyou for always making the working Guide Dogfeel so welcome too. We shared our Fav ‘Bacon, Brie & cranberry Panini’ which comes with tasty seasoned Chips & Salad (which gave us Room for cake & a large Cappuccino) portions are very generous & there is a take away service or you can sit outside. Booking is necessary to sit in at the moment. Date visited 17/10/20. Xx

The venue might not look like the Ritz, but we had four classic breakfasts, all very well cooked and very hearty portions. Great value for money and the service was excellent.

Not our first visit and definitely won't be the last. Even when we aren't caravan shopping - it's within the Yorkshire Caravans complex - we like to have lunch here. The food is great, prices sensible and the staff are friendly, helpful and quick! We appreciate the choice of "dining table" or "lounge" seating, too.

We live very close to this restaurant and find it to be the best of many. The fare is excellent and of good value, Simon "Proprietor" and his staff are very friendly, and happy to help. Being a member of an Armed Forces Veteran's Group, we chose it because of these features for our twice monthly get together. The restaurant is situated on the premises of an excellent caravan dealership, and has excellent parking.

Second visit here what a lovely cafe. Very polite friendly staff, gorgeous food and the most amazing fresh scones!

Called in for tea and tea cakes today. Wow. Lovely and tasty. Clean with comfortable chairs and sofas. Friendly attentive servers who showed nothing was too much trouble. Other people appeared to be enjoying their food. Quiet atmosphere enabling you to hold a conversation and hear too. Bright dining area. Afternoon teas available under £12. (Good value) and the cakes for sale looked stunning. Alas too late in the afternoon to have a piece (in retrospect I should have asked for a piece to take away- next time).

Called for some lunch with my mum today, All the food looked amazing that was coming from the kitchen we felt spoilt for choice but decided to have a chicken salad which was very fresh and tasty & my mum had cod goujons which were very hot and came out very quickly, very nice relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will definitely be calling back again very soon.

Had lunch with my friend today, lovely jacket potato for myself and bacon bap for my friend. The food was great, service was fast. The atmosphere was friendly. It must have been, we sat there chatting for over 3 hours! Definitely plan to visit again soon!

Just called by for a coffee and a toasted sandwich my god the staff clearly didn’t know what they were doing waited 25mins toasties came out no cutlery no coffee had to request where our coffees were food was Luke warm won’t be going again

The little cafe at bawtry caravans is lovely. With a friendly welcoming atmosphere and comfy seating area.

I have recently been diagnosed as gluten intolerant. We we to Classic and Contemporary at Bawtry. I was informed that they had not a gluten free flapjack.

We waited whilst the waiter served two other tables that had come in after us only to be told they were NOT serving Sunday lunches!!!

Arrived early for a meeting, ordered Eggs Burydict, WOW, amazing. Staff very courteous and friendly.

This was an accidental find! Just called for some kit for the caravan and called in. It is a great place to meet and eat. The staff were really friendly, the choice was great and the prices reasonable, so all good this far. The quality of the food was spot on. A great selection all prepared to order and served by attentive staff. I will definitely be calling again

We’ve been here many times but feel our visit this time was disappointing. We ordered the special of the day- quiche. The presentation was poor. It looked as though it had been thrown on to the plate and was a whole pale flavourless quiche served with a very small uninspiring salad which consisted of lettuce 1 small whole tomato, 2 thin slices of cucumber and a tiny pot of coleslaw- it was not worth the price and was very boring. Try adding a bit of enthusiasm to the food. Also the ploughman’s although advertised in the cafe, is no longer available and they no longer do a Sunday lunch. Not a great experience on this occasion

This cafe is a real gem! Visit on a regular basis with family and friends, usually have the small breakfast but tried the breakfast panini and asked for halloumi instead of normal cheese this wasn't a problem to the staff at all they are all so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble, always have time to chat and ask you how you are with a smile! The panini was huge and tasted delicious.Didnt have room for a cake this time but took a cream scone home with jam which was also yummy! 10/10 overall keep up the good work you are a great team!

A great way to spend a Saturday morning. Booked in for breakfast with my family and we were not disappointed. Generous portions and lovely drinks. The best part are the loyalty cards where you can redeem a free hot drink and teacake when your card is full! With 6 of us visiting we were quick to fill ours to use for next time. Thank you again to all the classic and contemporary coffee shop.

Hidden slightly under the influence of the Yorkshire Caravans, this cafe is a real gem! From the minute we walked in we were greeted with smiles, and the staff could not be more helpful from start to finish. A lovely atmosphere and a relaxing, comfortable decor. Plenty of tables, most of which were already full. My husband ordered the full English breakfast, and it was obviously freshly cooked to order. It looked great, tasted even better. Coffee was delicious. Upon leaving and paying, I couldn’t resist a cake, and I can honestly say it was the best vanilla slice I have ever had. At just a short drive from home, it will be worth the trip just for the cakes. Amazing! And no need to be interested in caravans to visit. The large car park and cafe are before any caravans or shop. A real treat, well worth a visit.

Very welcoming environment and perfect for friends or family of all ages. I had a sweet chilli wrap served with salad, creamy coleslaw and crisps. Lovely, light and refreshing for a summer's day. The staff were all bright and helpful, didn't feel like an inconvenience at all. The menu overall was reasonably priced and I will definitely be returning.

Called in for a tea cake with coffee. Tasty chunky teacake and creamy coffee. A delight. Friendly efficient staff. Toilet facilities just outside cafe (part of Caravan showroom). Well done. Large car park. Interesting sculptures as you drive in.

Visited here with my family at the weekend after looking at caravans. I didn’t realize I wanted any cake until I saw them and then I ordered 3 for me and my children to share. The fruit scone is THE best scone I have ever eaten and I have eaten many. I also had a coffee which was excellent quality and a good size. The service was excellent, the staff were quick to serve and polite. The main meals I saw being served looked very appetizing and I thought the prices were very reasonable on everything. We will definitely be returning.

Visited today with my grandchildren the food and service were exceptional as always. Great choices, very accommodating with our requirements, lovely helpful staff would highly recommend a visit.

Oily unhealthy food, Very slow service, we left quite a bit of our food, my breakfast was covered in oil, heavy on your stomach, No diet drinks ( I am diabetic) Over priced and bad quality would defo not be visiting again

Visited for afternoon tea with 4 other family members. Table was ready on arrival and drinks order taken promptly. Food was delicious with ample sandwiches and cakes to die for. Too many to eat so had a doggie bag to take home. Service was excellent and staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We visit this cafe on a regular basis for either brunch or coffee and cake. The food is consistently good, substantial portions and very tasty. The service is fast, friendly and very good.

I have used this coffee shop for a number of years , on a regular basis , but never submitted a review . Well it is now time. The staff have always been super friendly and keen to deliver a first class service. Claire and Lynette have worked here for years and make us feel like old friends every time we visit. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.

After having a fab afternoon tea at the Pilgrim Fathers which Simon has recently taken over, me and the family decided that we had to indulge in the best breakfast in the area. We knew that coming here would not disappoint. The staff are very accommodating in which you can change parts of your breakfast over to make it best suited to you which makes the value for money so much more. The wide selection of cold drinks available were greatly appreciated by the hungover on an early Sunday morning and brought a bit of life back to the group! Thank you again everyone at the coffee shop for a great breakfast and for fitting us in at such short notice. No wonder we keep coming back!!!

Our coffees were very weak and had to be replaced but still not as strong as they used to be. My partners soup was cold, which when re-heated was still not very hot. The soup is offered with White or Brown ROLL only white bread was available. The coffees used to come with a biscuit but not any more.

Been in here a few times and not been disappointed until today. Had a lovely sandwich and the cake was lovely. The down side is that the coffee was awful and not drinkable. Not sure if they have changed the coffee beans or it was just badly made. I did have a conversation at the till point about it and an apology was given. I wouldn’t visit again as I like a nice coffee.

So we’ve been a few times now after winning one of this companies cakes. I’m hooked. Not feeling great at the minute so sent my hubby to go and retrieve a couple of slices of my fave cake! Disaster almost struck though when they had ran out! However the owner overheard what my husband was wanting and told him if he could hang on 20 minutes he’d go and get one ready. He even made him a coffee whilst he waited. Top customer service. Well worth a 19 mile round trip. Will be back in soon 10*

We had to visit Yorkshire Caravans and stopped at the cafe for lunch. We sat outside with our 3 little dogs. Fortunately it was pleasantly warm. Both my wife and I had toasties. Both sandwiches were packed with very tasty fillings and plenty of crisps and salad accompanied the toasties. We really enjoyed them and if they are anything to go by we will return again.

We use this cafe quite frequently. It’s half way for family to meet, usually for breakfast. Recently we’ve not enjoyed our experience as much as previous visits. Mainly due to the very long wait between ordering and receiving our order. Today the wait was 50 minutes. We were about to give up and go when the food arrived. It wasn’t busy on our arrival so why a wait of 50 minutes I don’t know. It was the same the previous time a few months ago too. But sadly the quality of the cooking isn’t that great either. Great ingredients just not very well cooked. Items on my plate were cold, some just warm. The bread is far too thick for toast and not enough butter, although more was provided on request still not enough. For the price I don’t think it’s very good value especially when not cooked well. We will not return again which is a shame as we like the cafe and the staff, the wait is just far too long, and a disappointing meal.

Love it here I go with a friend usually a Monday and we catch up and have breakfast and a cuppa all done to your liking

Met a friend here for lunch and it was delightful. The food was fantastic and the staff very helpful and friendly. We are going to meet here next month as well.

Arranged to meet someone here for a coffee and cake last Saturday morning.... didn't realise it was 'out of town' as usually prefer a more central cafe .... and this is a good mile outside Bawtry. Not well signposted - and is part of a caravan retail outlet, which was a bit strange. Basic rather dated decor and layout and not very cosy or welcoming. The coffee was ok and the cheese scone passable but our table was right next to a door through which customers kept entering and nearly fell over us. Perhaps the cooked food is good but I found it a bit disappointing.

Brilliant meal for 12 for a birthday celebration. Huge portions and catered very well for a grandson who has numerous allergies including a special cake for him. Only disappointment was that there wasn't a big choice of cakes. There seems to be less on other occasions when we have been for coffee etc but would highly recommend what they do have. Thank you to all the staff

Myself and my friends have often met here for lunch but on the last couple of occasions have been disappointed. The quality has decreased while the prices have increased. On the most recent visit myself and my friend ordered the chicken,lime and mango hot salad. We were informed there was no mango but went ahead anyway. The salad was a selection of leaves,a few pieces of chicken and although the items listed on the menu were present,they were sparse and definitely not worth the £8.45 price tag!

Visited for the first time today to meet up with friends, lovely clean cafe. Good service despite being a member of staff down on the day we visited. The food was delicious and plentiful! I had lemon drizzle cake which was lovely! Would definitely recommend a visit!!

Good choice on menu, three of us visiting and ordered different dishes; but all very pleased with service and food. Only regret didn't get to try the cakes, which looked very tempting. Next time maybe, not that we will need that excuse to visit again.

We visit Yorkshire caravans regually even though it is a 30 mile round trip.decided to go for Sunday lunch which was still advertised on line and the menu we were handed still had the lunch printed on it ,only to be told you will have to go the pub down the road as we do t serve it anymore, great service eh.

I have to say this place has the best cake around, however just lately when we have been in the service has become much slower.

After ordering told 20-30 minute wait for food. 45 minutes before food arrived. Server did not know what problem was. Several servers on duty therefore guess kitchen could not cope with a not full restaurant. Offered free drinks and got 10% of bill. Staff did not seem to want to say what the problem was and no obvious person in charge

Lunch and luxury hot chocolates to warm up after pumpkin picking. Food gorgeous, regularly visit and would highly recommend.

Had Sunday lunch at Bawtry, I had lamb and hubby had half a chicken, we both thoroughly enjoyed it the meat was lovely and plentiful and the vegetables were varied and all cooked through which is the way we like em. Not mushy but cooked. We also fetched cakes home which are great. Don’t change a thing..

This place is amazing, the staff all so friendly and the owner went out of his way to cater for a large group of us after hours. Very attentive to our needs! The food was really good and big portions - great value for money! The cakes are to die for!! You should definitely stop here if you're in the area!

Came to the restaurant on a work trip, although we were quite late they kept the shop open for us and welcomed us with great service and really nice food.

We went here on a work event after visiting the York Wildlife Park. They were absolutely amazing. Not only did they open later than they normally would , but catered for about 30 of us with delicious food. The staff made us feel very welcome, even meeting us in the car park with a wave. I would definitely visit the next time i am passing!

We were going on a corporate trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and couldn't find anywhere to eat that would A) be open & B) take a table for our size. Debs from our office found this cafe online and called to enquire - the owner was really enthusiastic about having us come and eat there and even asked the owner of the property if he could stay open late!

We found this amazing place from tripadvisor. The owner very kindly agreed to our part of 27 people and even stayed open for us, both him and his staff were so welcoming and looked after us so well. The food was really excellent, loads of choice, personally I had the quiche, salad and chips which was a very large portion and really tasty and so filling, really wanted to have some of the beautiful cakes but was too full so we took cake home with us. All round a really lovely experience, amazing service, excellent food a really warm and welcoming owner and extremely good value for money.

Catered for a large group and did it really well, food was excellent and good sized portions, staff were efficient and very friendly. Would recommend and will return next time I am on my travels.

OK, if there were 10 stars I’d give it. Yes the food is gorgeous, fresh and inventive but the staff - they are outstanding. We live nowhere near and were on holiday but were so impressed that a return weekend is planned

We have a very nice and tasty breakfast maybe twice a month. Cant fault the food, staff efficient and friendly.

Went here for my daughter's baby shower last Saturday lunch time. The table was booked beforehand and told them there could be a couple of prams. They gave us an ideal table for about 10 of us and room for the prams. Service brilliant as usual with lovely staff and this place always serves lovely food. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. As portions are large, my friend and I asked for a pannini between us. They served each half on a separate plate with a full salad accompaniment. That is real customer service!

We were looking for somewhere different to eat, and after reading the reviews decided on this place. Wow! what can I say? My husband and I both had traditional Sunday lunch of lamb. The meal was beautifully presented, everything was cooked to perfection. A taste explosion, Worthy of a top class restaurant. The staff were excellent, pleasant and efficient. We will definitely be returning.

Go here at least twice a month for our veterans breakfast club. As well as the fantastic food the service is something else. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble even for fussy eaters like me. The other thing I would recommend are the home made cakes which are huge. Try the salted caramel you won't be disappointed.

Have visited here twice with my mum because of the trip advisor reviews! The food is really tasty and the service couldn’t be better. Simon and Jill in particular were incredibly friendly and helpful. We can really recommend it to everyone.

We visited the classic and contemporary on Wednesday. I fully intended having the classic breakfast that I normally have. However I noticed the salt and pepper squid on the specials. Simon the owner also recommended the deep fried battered whitebait so had them both with chips. Followed by lemon mirangue pie. Delicious

Visited this restaurant with family for afternoon tea. It was really busy but despite this we were shown to our table which was beautifully laid by a very cheerful and very efficient member of staff. We were soon served with drinks and didn't wait long for our goodies to arrive. I observed staff coming and going attending to the many diners, there was a steady flow of people coming in and going out, the food which came out all looked and smelled delicious. The staff were quick and efficient and always had a smile on their faces, obviously content in their work.

Excellent place, excellent food, excellent prices, excellent staff. This says it all, well worth a visit.

Always fantastic value . The paninis are delicious and great value served with salad and coleslaw. One of my favourite places in the Doncaster area.

After going to Bawtry me and my partner decided to stop for food at classic and contemporary! The service was friendly and very professional we ordered our food and asked for the drinks at the same time! We were surprised at how prompt the food was even though we told there was a wait! Defenitley recommend to all my friends will be visiting again soon!

Called in for lunch today on a hot day. Many tables waiting to be served or waiting for delivery of their ordered meal. 30 minutes wait at least for food and 10 minutes for drinks. Some people left due to the wait. Our table dirty when arrives as can seem if zoom in on picture. New bottles for serving milk not great. Usually good and service amazing - not sure if there are issues in the kitchen but let down today.

Called here the morning after Doncaster races. It was recommended. It is actually on a caravan site so easily missed. We arrived at 9.40 and it was already very busy. Only problem was as it was a cold morning the place had not got warm when we arrived. Because it was so busy and food is freshly prepared we had quite a wait. It was though worth it. Very good and the service was with a smile. Lots of staff. Worth calling in.

Quality always spot on! Never fails to please.. What I love about Afternoon Tea here is you can book any time (not just after 2/3pm like some establishments stipulate) just give 24hr notice! Also any likes/dislikes allergies etc are always sorted to fit in with any individual’s needs(just say when booking) Well filled sandwiches, homemade scones & the desserts are fresh with ‘doggie bags’ available if you can’t finish them all!

My mum won an afternoon tea here through a competition on Facebook. I have visited in the past for lunch and the food and service was amazing so was really looking forward to spending some time here over afternoon tea. What can I say the afternoon tea was delicious everything was so fresh and plenty of choice, sandwiches were well filled, scones and cakes were to die for. The service was 5 star special mention to Jill who made our visit so special nothing was too much. The cafe was busy but you wouldn't be able to tell from the service we received. The food that was coming out looked amazing too. I would definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you

Stopped by with the Mrs during a quick visit to the area. Clean, good choice of food and staff attentive and friendly. My bacon sandwich was a monster and came well done as requested. Wife's cherry scone was on par with similar establishments but nothing special. Will return but only if in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast early on Saturday morning. Service was first class and the food was freshly cooked. Very polite and informed service... I shall be back to sample more of the extensive menu. The cakes look excellent but are off limits for type 2 D sufferers like me.... shame.

Called in here for breakfast after reading reviews as we was popping next door to view caravans. The classic breakfast is huge. Quality ingredients and very well cooked. Great friendly atmosphere and the staff a very caring smiley and tentative. If this place was in Sheffield I would call here everyday. The cakes they do look soooo good. They do a Sunday lunch that sounds very good so going to call and give that a try. Would definitely recommmend this place. In fact I don’t think I saw all the caravans so may have to go back tomorrow

Stopped by for lunch yesterday with mum and my husband. They both choose the hotdog and fries from the specials board for £3.50 and I had a cheese and onion toastie which was £6.50... The hot dogs were great value a nice long hot dog sausage with some onions (red onion though and we felt white onions would be better) the fries were absolutely gorgeous! My toastie came on a plate with a massive salad, a whole bag of crisps and home made coleslaw, the toastie was massive and had so much cheese I had to take loads of it out, mine was tasty but overwhelming so I don't think I would pick that again. Mum had a good latte, hubby had a tasty milkshake and I had a refreshing lemon and lime drink. The cakes were inviting so we had them to take away and we enjoyed them last night

We called in yesterday for a lunchtime snack as had been recommended by a friend. Based in the same location at Yorkshire Caravans of Bawtry even if you don't have any interest in caravans I'd highly recommend you calling in for a snack, drink or even Sunday lunch looked amazing!
