We were lucky enough to have breakfast here this morning and it was absolutely delicious! The whole farm was great with geese and guinea fowo amidst all sorts of beautiful wildlife. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

We'd promised ourselves a late breakfast in Burley, before a stroll through the forest there, and enjoyed a fantastic cooked breakfast at The Cider Pantry, just ouside the pretty and busy little New Forest village of Burley.Very impressive covid measures - they encourage customers to book in advance, especially for lunch. We'd arrived around 10.30, and happily they had a spare table, but certainly advance booking is to be recommended if you can. Distancing and hygeine excellent. Our breakfasts arrived piping hot, on hot plates. Everything cooked to perfection - the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato and mushrooms in my "Farmer's breakfast" were as good as I've ever tasted, and smelt incredible as the plate was brought to us. I opted for a second slice of thick granary toast - lots of scrummy toast with my cooked breakfasts! Our breakfast tea and fresh coffees were excellent, as was the friendly service throughout.Parking is easy outside, (gravel), and follow the clear covid instructions. We'd parked in the Burley car park, (£3.50 for 4hrs), and strolled the 5mins to the Pantry. There's a lovely little cider etc shop out back, and a small collection of interesting old farming and cider-making machinery.Love it here.

Friendly, clean, excellent breakfasts. We have just returned from 3 nights b&b at the Cider Pantry in the heatwave and covid. Our room was ground floor at the front as we had our dogs with us but it was spacious and clean. We also had a little table and chairs and patio area just outside. However the road is quite busy so was rather noisy at night as we had to leave the windows open it was so hot. Breakfasts were top notch and any requests could be accommodated. There was no wifi in the room as the stone walls were so thick but fine out on the patio. Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

It was lovely that The Cider Pantry has partially re-opened after Covid and we felt very reassured by the measures in place. There is a great Coffee Pod serving coffees, cakes and delicious cider! And plenty of tables in a nearby field and garden which were well spaced out. Also an outdoor shop selling fresh produce and a cider shop. We really enjoyed our visit - thank you!

We visited after a long walk to warm up with a cup of tea and a bite to eat. We were welcomed straight away and shown to a little table. The specials looked amazing but we both decided on a homemade veggie burger from the main menu which did not disappoint! Afterwards we popped into the little cider shop round the back to pick up some local cider and chutney. Definitely a place I’d go to again!

What a fabulous place! Our party tried the sandwiches, soups and the roast. It was all amazing. The roast dinner is the best I have ever eaten. The cracking on the roast pork was fabulous and the selection of veg! Yellow, white and orange carrots, two types of broccoli, roast parsnips and crispy light roast potatoes; not to mention the gravy which was outstanding all was cooked to perfection. We also tried the cream tea, that too was delicious. All this in a lovely setting with waiting staff that couldn’t have been more attentive. Thank you will definitely be making this a regular.

Pre-booked a table for 1pm on Halloween. Had asked in advance about gluten free options and told that they were available when booking.Arrived on time, nice table with a view over the garden. Good range of teas and soya milk available - we both had tea to start.Took our time ordering and checked that items were vegan as well, as my girlfriend has to limit her dairy intake. The soup was mushroom soup, vegan. We both had that, it was very tasty. The tuna sandwich on gluten free bread was tasty. I ordered the burger of the day, which was beef, served with pickles, beetroot, coleslaw and chips. We shared the chips between us.I did order the bacon and that came out afterwards along with the cheese but I didn't mind at all.We shared a big bottle of the freshly squeezed New Forest apple juice. We had ordered olives with hummus, gluten free bread and olive oil/ balsamic vinegar dip. That came out after the main course and we took that home.We also took home some cake - Victoria sponge, carrot cake and gluten free chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle cakes. It was very busy and took a couple of hours but well worth it. Stephen and the team answered all our questions and it was really nice to be able to eat out and have a great selection for all the dietary requirements we had to cover, so thank you. We'll be back.

As a cyclist I’d often used the Cider Pantry and normally received a nice welcome and good food.On a recent visit as a group of 4, we went inside to see all the tables of 4 reserved but empty, we then went to the counter to ask if there were any tables that we could use for an hour but were then told that there were plenty of tables available. We then stated that they were all reserved and were then shown to a large table. The staff member then returned to the counter and was heard to mention to another member of staff he’s just had to sort out a group of <word removed to comply with tripadvisor! We then decided that we didn’t need to be abused like that and left to find an alternative lunch stop.Rudeness like that is totally unnecessary.

Called in for some lunch, looking forward to trying this place. I went in first to ask if they allowed dogs, while my husband and dog stayed in the car. No one was behind the counter, although there was someone lolling over the food counter in the kitchen. Eventually a surly, unsmiling male appeared. I asked if they allowed dogs, and, without ever making eye contact with me simply said “not inside, but there’s a garden at the back if you want” and gesticulated with his thumb somewhere behind him. That was the whole of his conversation, no offer to show me where, or shown a menu, nothing. I simply turned on my heel and left. The service here is simply awful; rude, unhelpful and off-putting. Wedding anniversary weekend for me and Mrs Evans and we wanted to return to Burley as we spent our first night of honeymoon here at the Manor. The Cider Pantry was familiar to us as we walked by last time we were here. So very glad we decided to stay this time as the whole experience was delightful. The Kingston Black annex was perfect for secluded privacy at the side of the property, just like our own little flat. Burley village just 1min walk and direct access to forest walks. Huge old spot pigs across the road and the usual beautiful ponies wandering by past the window make for a fabulous New Forest experience for new and old visitors. The beautifully presented breakfast room was a delight and the cooked English was delicious with huge doorstep toast. Will definitely use the Cider Pantry again and would recommend to anyone wanting a great stay on the Forest....ten out of ten

Every year we go to the New Forest to go and remind ourselves what a beauty the place is and why people enjoy it so much. Every year, we visit the Cider Pantry to buy cider and visit the tea room. It was 45 minutes before the closing time and we asked a tea room lady how much time we had left to order (we were standing by the cider shop entrance). She said we had 15 minutes before orders stop and by the time we walked round to the front and went in, she bluntly said “Oh actually we’re shut. They’ve put everything away now”. No mention of an apology, nothing. We were angered by this that we simply turned around and walked out.

We were absolutely delighted we chose this tea room as it is simply the best one we have ever been to. We have tried a few cream teas in and around Burley but this is our absolute No1. All the food is freshly made, tasty and looks amazing. We had the cream tea, which was incredible. Freshly baked warm scones, lovely jam and beautiful clotted cream. The tea is proper loose leaf tea and the portions are generous. Service is second to none. The friendly staff, Susan, Hollie and Lorraine work hard to make sure everyone feels very welcome. Having recently being diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant I did not think I would be able to find anywhere that catered for my, annoying, dietary concerns however when I called to make an enquiry they were happy to offer to make me some Gluten Free scones, I was amazed as you can't even buy these in most large supermarkets. The scones themselves were fabulous, so much so we went back the next day for more and we don't have a sweet tooth. If you have special dietary requirements call the day before and they will do their best to accommodate you. Lorraine bakes all the goods and is an incredible baker. We also bought a piece of Lemon Drizzle cake to take away and again this was excellent. There is ample parking, a rare thing in Burley, and plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Thank you to all the staff who made our short holiday break even more special by exceeding all our hopes and expectations, we cannot wait to revisit.

We stopped after a walk on the old Beeching closed railway line that once ran through the New Forest and thought that this establishment would be just right for our late morning coffee. The coffee was great and much better than usual in places like this and the hot chocolate that was served to one of our party was deemed to be delicious. Although not hungry ourselves we noted that the late morning full English breakfast served to a table close by, was huge and well cooked. However we all commented upon the rather unfriendly nature of those who served us. Not what we would expect from tea rooms in this area, thus the rather mediocre 3* review.

Attended with walking group with a booking made in well in advance for our group. Chaotic taking of orders. Two of our group were served a hot meal and toasted sandwich respectively almost immediately, whilst the rest of us (about ten) waited over an hour for food to be served. They forgot drinks then forgot they had taken my order for a sausage sandwich so had to wait even longer whilst others were eating. Then charged £2.95 for half a cider and £7.50 for a sausage sandwich. Although the two sausages and two slices of granary bread (along with red onion chutney and salad garnish) was tasty, I feel the prices are extortionate. No apologies for the long wait for food, missed orders, nor any offer of any sort of redress, such as complementary drink made to our group leader, who had made such an effort to plan the event in advance.

The restaurant was fairly busy considering it was a Thursday. There was a wide choice of food on the menu including 4/5 additional special daily choices. We went in and were told to take a seat and somebody would be with us. A member of staff gave us menus and then disappeared. After a 15 minute wait, my wife went to the counter, in case we had to order there, to find 2 members of staff just talking! She ordered coffee and toasted tea cake for both of us. The coffees arrived with both spilt into the saucers, followed by tea cakes that could only be described as “well done”. The cafe was quiet, so there did not appear to be any reason for the poor service, but at least we know that our old established favourite was the better choice!

Succulent cider flavoured sausages with mash and onion gravy. Quiche with salad and chips and beef chilli with rice. All these meals were tasty and filling. No room for the apple cake so bought some to take away along with the cheese scones and fruit scones. Nothing was too much bother for the friendly staff. Called in at the cider shop to buy cider and cheese, a great combination! Will certainly be back again.

Stopped here today with my other half. We both had the happy farmers breakfast as opposed to the hangry farmers breakfast. The quality of the ingredients was obvious, the sausage and bacon in particular were lovely. The price was reasonable and I would go back again if I were in the area.

My friend and I stumbled across this lovely cafe looking for some decent lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and fairly priced, staff friendly and welcoming, and the menu varied and suitable for all consumers. Very happy customers!

Nice cafe. Delicious soup and sandwiches. Portions came in two sizes - brilliant idea as large portions were huge.

It’s a lovely looking place but I was taken aback by just how poor the food was. Bland is an understatement. Can’t fault the staff, but the chef(s) need to taste the food before sending it out. We ordered the veggie burger and a mac n cheese and honestly, I don’t understand how such simple dishes could go as wrong as they did. Really sorry, but the food here is awful, just awful.

Stopped in here for lunch. Slow service, ordered rarebit-completely burnt and dripping in grease. Chips were horrible too- deep fried old potatoes. Complained and rarebit taken off the bill, would not come back again.

We had breakfasts and cakes. The breakfasts were marvellous with loads of salmon and good quality produce. We had the apple juice with our breakfast which is grown and crushed on the premises and is excellent. The cakes were up there with the best. We recommend the cream tea but leave plenty of room. Mary is clearly a good cook and the ingredients she uses are of quality. It is a family run business.

I stopped for a late lunch and afternoon tea. Everything was fresh, plenty to eat, and served by pleasant staff in a cool garden. I highly recommend the sultana and cider scones with cream.
