We had the cider barn cater for a large party at a local property nearby to the cider barn. Everything was excellent - the food was exceptional, the service was brilliant and organising it in advance was seamless (thanks to Pauline!). Nothing was too difficult for them!

One of the best vegan meals I’ve ever eaten in a beautiful setting. The service was perfect and the open fire just made the evening special.

A very special 80th birthday celebration And we found the perfect place. The menu was lovely, between us all we tried almost every dish and everyone loved it. The service was friendly and very efficient especially as we were a large table. It was a little bubble of happiness and looking around at everyone’s happy faces is the proof of just how good the staff are. Well done!

The Cider Barn is a wonderful combination of a characterful location, great food and excellent service. Especially noteworthy is that it gives vegetarians an equal amount of choice rather than having perhaps a couple of vegetarian choices on the main menu - this isn’t that common in our experience. We’ve been several times over the past 2 years and our experience has always been positive - we’ll definitely be back!

Superb Valentine’s Day dinner. Standout seafood linguine starter and smoked duck breast main course. The ratio of crustaceans to pasta in the first course was high, and the sauce umami rich. The service was delightful, with the carefully dressed charming waiting staff contributing hugely to the warm atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and very good food. Went with my husband while on holiday in the area. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Attended a function on burns night. The food was,.. simply put.. INCREDIBLE! Will be thinking about those fantastic flavours for a long time. Totally loved the main veggie option and the dessert a chocolate and caraway torte with brandy soaked prunes, omg. ❤️ The service was super attentive despite being part of a large group booking. I was not previously aware of this location but it's certainly on my radar now and don't hesitate to recommend with 5 stars. It was toasty warm in the barn and beautiful ambiance.

Was greeted with a complimentary drink upon arrival but no waitress came over to ask us if we wanted any more drinks, I think they were expecting the small complimentary drink to last us. It took a while to get the waitresses attention but eventually we ordered more drinks. The place was freezing cold, we spoke to the waitress and she agreed with us but said nothing could be done. Yes, it's a barn with single glazing but it should still be warm inside the restaurant. Should not open if they can't afford to heat the place properly. The beef was in fact beef shin, the cheapest cut of meat you can get, it was nice and tender but very was small. The cheesecake would be best described as mouse and a very small slice, wasn't how a cheesecake should be. Overall the food was quite small portions for the money. Some of the 5 stars reviews below puzzle me. The food was okish, nothing special and the portion sizes are all very small.

We visited over Christmas with the family and had a really lovely evening. The barn was decorated beautifully and we had a table near the log fire which made it very cosy. Our food was exceptional as usual and we were delighted to see that vegetarian menu offered as much choice as the main menu, which is not always the case. The staff were friendly and efficient and the service and food were faultless. Excellent value for money for such high quality food.

Six of us went for Sunday lunch. First time for all of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. From the mulled cider on arrival, the outstanding, friendly and efficient staff and our superb food. We all intend to revisit, hopefully in the near future. I’m sure it will be a regular haunt.

After reading all the good review we thought it would be an ideal venue for our Christmas Party. We all felt the service was very poor. After having to give our pre-order for food 10 days before the day we expected to have least enough vegetables to go round the people at the table, but they ran out! The choice of vegetables were poor, sprouts and red cabbage - none of the normal Christmas menu vegetables such as peas and carrots etc. We were asked if we wanted wine when we arrived. After that no waitress came to the table to top up the wine or ask if anyone wanted drinks!! Apart from a few Christmas decorations hanging up it was like any other day of the week - we would have at least expected some Christmas music playing. So disappointing!!!!

Delicious food and wine, great local cider, lovely friendly helpful staff (take cash to tip). Gorgeous place, fabulous atmosphere. Amazing open fire. We had partridge starter and venison main and the best dessert ever coconut cake, pears poached in red wine, stem ginger and fantastic ice cream. Highly recommend and visit.
