Called in there when passing ..had 2 cod bites n chips . Absolutely best I've had in a long time from any chippy...pity I don't live local to it

The best chippy in the Rhondda! Always fresh and hot, brilliant size portions and the staff are always smiling and up for a chat. It's nice to have somewhere that also caters for those with a gluten intolerance. They deliver as well which is perfect! Definitely give the chip stop a go, you won't be disappointed

the best chippy in the whole of the rhondda valley and the only one that offers gluten free food, all cooked in their own oil and wrapped safely, staff are very knowledgeable about coeliacs disease and gluten free and about the risks of cross contamination.

Lovely food chicken curry and chips are lush the scampi chips and tartar sauce are very tasty I so enjoyed, one of the best chip shops around ,the staff are so friendly, keep the good work up jodie x

Pleasant staff, reasonably priced,food can be a bit hit and miss

The only reason it was rated 4 and not 5 is because it took 2 hours for food to arrive on a delivery. Food was a 10/10 and delivery driver was sound. I'd 100% have this again but maybe go and pick it up next time

Great food. Best in the locality for sure. Good quality potatoes obviously used unlike most other greedy profiteering chippies in the area. Expect a wait as there is unavoidably a queue due to the popularity of the place. Well worth waiting for though. Very reasonably priced too. For our big family was £10 cheaper than other shops AND better quality food too!

Not very traditional when they dont even have ketchup.

Sent my daughter to get food today. She bought the food shortly after the shop opened. The chips were awful, virtually inedible. More than half went in the bin. Such a disappointment, I would guess they were cooked last night and then warmed up again just before the shop opened.

Not very nice batter & the chips looked to white for me. Curry sauce was a reheat from night b4 & water was added to it. Won't go here again, even though the staff were brill & polite.

Amazing, friendly service. And lots of delicious gluten free options too. All you need to do is order in advance. I have also used the chip stop for my children's birthday party and the service was amazing.

I had lovely food from there as usual. Part of my order was a gluten free fish, when they went to cook it they saw that the order from thier supplier hadnt given gluten free fish, the staff even phoned me back to say what had happened. Exellent service as always.

One of the best gluten free fish, battered sausage, chips and gravy (don’t judge the pigginess.. lol) I’ve ever had! The ladies who were serving were super helpful, lovely and couldn’t do enough. You have to phone up and place your order approx 45 mins before so they can get the fryer ready etc.. They close at 5pm on a Saturday- I only found this out as I was going to have it two nights in a row! Lol.. if you’re gluten intolerant and in the area- you have to try this brilliant place out! Thank you

Sausage in batter today was disgusting! Undercooked sausage and soggy batter - worst kind. Staff in the shop were not friendly - which was weird. If you don't want to work in a chip shop then get a real job! Lol 👎

Had two GF meals from here recently and I got to say they were gorgeous fish & chips the batter was so light ,sausage in batter was great ,curry sauce , don't know what to try next. So glad I found this place 😊😋

I've known the new owner for years and I've been using this fish shop for atleast 8years and it never disappoints. Fish is always fresh and the chips are perfect for the home made chip lovers! Just overall worth it.

Favourite fish and chip shop! Does the best chips! Cash only :( says its open on Saturday from 6pm till 11pm but I have always found it closed on a Saturday night!

Im a regular. The staff are very friendly often wave as I go past. The food is great, a decent price to. Sometimes we get a bit extra chips because they dont use the boxes its only as a guidline so they sometimes put a little bit more on top. Thats why i go here rather than the other local fish and chip shops. Bus stops just a couple of steps away. I think food hygene is great too.
