Well priced, quick delivery and food done well, customer service is great I managed to add to the order with no problem cannot complain

To my knowledge, they have recently changed a new boss and I was expecting the new owner to provide same standard of food but unfortunately, I saw the kitchen and saw how disgusting the kitchen was. They accidentally got rid of some food ingredients and put them into the bin, but they then realised that it was a mistake and put it back into someone’s meal box. 🤢The staff even sneezed without covering their mouth. And it went everywhere and extremely loud. I am really glad that I saw that. The hygiene was terrible there. And the staff were very rude, unexpectedly, and they were not busy at all. I am really really surprised and this is the one I’ve been using for the past 3 years and because of what happened today, I will never come here again.

we visited here with a few friends one evening and had a great time and enjoyed some very nice food, the only negative thing for the whole evening was feeling like we were overstaying our welcome with constant staff visiting the table to offer more food 5 minutes after our last serving, overall it was a very clean place with lovely food. we will be returning.

Really is a hidden gem. It's worth it vaule for definite £18.95 per person for all you can eat. The good thing also you get a menu and can pick as much items as you want. The food is always hot and tasty. The service is brilliant as well. Definitely worth a try if visiting or even stay local. Am probably the world's worst person to go out and eat with as am so fussy 😂 been here a few times now and even to the take away

Had the food off the buffet menu which is served to your table good service with great food plenty to choose from couldn’t find any faults worth the money stand out dish for me the chilli garlic prawns would go back

Having been to all the Chinese takeaway's in Elgin China town is the cheapest by far most dishes are up to a £1 cheaper than all the others the food is the really good and good quality and if you have delivery it's very fast and the driver is really friendly and polite we have also been into the buffet it's an all you can eat but it's cooked fresh when your order it so it's not sitting under hot lamps for hours going dry I recommend this place we love it

A hidden gem on the High Street of Elgin, Amazing value from the buffet menu with a huge selection of freshly prepared dishes served to your table. Not only that, the service is outstanding with Michelle definitely worth a mention, her personality is guaranteed to make your night even more special. The food is truly amazing with incredible flavours. Definitely worth a visit.

We popped in for a takeaway after a long day at work and were very pleasantly surprised. Food was very tasty and very reasonable. Portions were generous and nobody was left hungry. Will definitely be back

Staying in Elgin and don't really know the area so just looked for somewhere to eat on Trip Advisor with good reviews. We were not disappointed. We had the all you can eat buffet, the member of staff was really helpful and friendly, she told us exactly how it all worked and made us feel relaxed. As a previous review stated don't be put off by the look of it outside or the dated decor, the food and service are top notch. There was plenty of choice and felt it was great value for money. Would definitely recommend and only wished we lived nearer as I feel we would be regulars here.

Had a meal for two to take away. As usual it's substantial and of fairly good quality. Unfortunately on this occasion the duck and orange sauce had gone down hill and was very undiluted in flavour and very heavy on sweetener. This is a shame as most other dishes retain their usual quality. I hope they done let things slide, especially if they are busy and start taking short cuts.

We are in Elgin on business from Glasgow so looking for somewhere to eat, would have probably been put off by the look of the outside and the general decor, however reviews were good. Well we were absolutely not disappointed this is a fabulous concept, a buffet without food lying out being ‘hot held’ and touched by others. The food was well presented, plentiful, tasted delicious and just as much as you wanted without waste. The girl serving could not have been more lovely and the price was well worth it. Found this restaurant by accident - was actually planning to go to Indian next door, but was too early! Thought we would give this one a try instead, as it was open, and we were hungry! Very quick service . Ordered our drinks and were given the buffet menu to choose which dishes we would like. We ordered 4 different items and they were served within 5 minutes - freshly cooked and presented well. Next course followed just as fast - excellent dishes and very friendly waitress. Choice of ice cream, banana fritter or fruit salad for pud. Definitely be back again next time we are in Elgin. This wee place deserves it!! See u in next few weeks guys!! 😁

We reserved a table with only 30 minutes notice in early evening. We were seated, welcomed and served with our drinks very efficiently. The table-served buffet was explained and we selected several starters. Every item was delicious and well presented. We decided against extra starters, moving on the crispy aromatic duck course. This too was beautifully prepared and served. Main courses we selected and served, everyone shared and tasted and all were found to be delicious. We even had desserts - which were also freshly prepared and also very tasty.

Called buffet but you don’t have to leave your seat. Menu lots to choose from, pick what you want starters, as many as you can eat then again pick your main course, you can try as many as you like or can eat, desert the same though we couldn’t manage desert, foods piping hot, staff attentive and polite, somewhere we didn’t know was there as it’s a takeaway at the front of restaurant,a must to try.

Service was good and friendly from both members of staff that we encountered. It states that it does lunch and dinner, we visited midweek (Monday) but it didn’t open until 5pm, so unsure when you can get a lunch. Takeaway opens at 4.30pm. Inside is a bit dated, could definitely do with a bit of attention.

Went here for Valentine's days for a meal with the hubby. Service was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was cooked fresh to order and was really tasty we had the all you can eat buffet and we absolutely loved the food. After finishing a 12 hour shift, I ordered a salt n pepper chicken and salt and chilli chips, both were bone dry, the chicken was barely edible it was that hard, the chips also dry and no flavour, basically fried chips tossed in a chopped chilli, very disappointed I feel robbed and had to go elsewhere, absolutely shocking, no love or interest has gone into this cooking, 100% never returning to this hole

Went to the restaurant part of this establishment with two others,we decided to hve the Buffett as this would give us a good idea of the quality of the food. Sorry to say the food was not good, they use very sweet sauces on most of the dishes, even the hoi sin sauce with the Peking duck was over sweetened. The salt and pepper squid was soggy, and bore a string resemblance to cuttlefish, the peking duck itself had been shredded, chopped into tiny pieces and frankly tasted as if it had been cooked a few days ago. The beef in green pepper and black bean sauce may hve taken the kitchen by surprise because the beef was partly raw and chewy. The egg fried rice was a tad old and the two other dishes , prawn sesame toast and chilli beef were again very sweet, the toast also far too thick. banana fritters were fried in a very thick tasteless batter. The atmosphere wasn’t very enjoyable as the place was empty, and freezing cold. Radiators obviously hadn’t been on for some time ,expecting staff to work in that cold is not legal in my opinion . I understand this place has a thriving take away business. I guess that may mean they do better quality there than in the restaurant!

Love it here, staff are great, food is hot and fresh, buffet is made to order. Take away is fast, great for events large and small groups welcome.

Buffet Chinese restaurant, but offering table service - you let the server know what dishes you would like and they bring these to your table on a platter. A novel way that's ensures your dishes are cooked to order.

Good value for money . Food was very good. If you have the buffet it is divided into starters mains and dessert. Table service. If a dish is ordered enough is provided for all members of the party of starters and mains so everyone can have their choice and sample other dishes. When everyone has had their fill of starters you can move onto mains etc. No draught. Worth a visit

I took my mum out to celebrate her 82nd birthday whilst on holiday in nearby Lossiemouth as Chinese food is her favourite. Oh my word, what a find!! I’m gutted it’s so far away or we’d be regulars.

We tried this restaurant after a busy day visiting distilleries and we just wanted something inexpensive in our hotel room instead of going to a sit down restaurant. The staff was great, very helpful, and the food was fresh, cooked quickly, hot and tasty, so we had no complaints. The price was very reasonable. It certainly worked for us.

Thought we’d found a Chinese to sit in.... however it was all underwhelming and an over priced buffet even though it’s all freshly cooked. You couldn’t fault the waitress and the cleanliness of the plastic tables.

This is a Buffet with a difference, all food is cooked to order and is therefore served hot and fresh. Service wás delivered by a very cheerful waitress and very attentive. It was still eat as much as you want, simply excellent

Lived in Elgin for many years and cannot believe we have never tried this chinese before. Heard great reviews from friends so decided to go on a Friday at 6pm. Very pleasantly surprised. It doesnt look much from the outside but the restaurant at the back was a lovely treat. Fantastic value for money at £16.90 per person for buffet menu. Food was excellent. Was really surprised at some of the choices and we had many different things we had not had before. Absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so nice and very helpful. She was very busy and we were very impressed with her. Highly recommend this chinese restaurant. We will definitely be going back!

No es su buffet típico sino más bien un menú de varios platos donde pides. Es comer tanto como quieras, pero hay una advertencia en el menú que le cobran extra si pides demasiado y dejar, que es suficiente. La comida en sí era buena, fresca, bien cocinada y sorprendentemente para este estilo de restaurante, no con rodajas de cebolla bulked. El personal es muy amable y muy atento. Volveré, sin duda.

At the table the waitress explained the concept. You can order as many starters as you want two of each will arrive. Then order again if you want. a second course of soup and crispy duck were on this. A long list of main courses was next and pudding could be had. The food is cooked to order and quickly. If you leave hungry if is you own fault. For the good sum of £16.90 it is a good option.

Had a lovely family meal at the China Town Buffet. Very good value for money. Staff excellent. Very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

So looking forward to eating today as a welcome relief from all the Xmas and New Year cooking I'd done. Friends had warned me that it wasn't good and this worried me but dear husband read the Trip Advisor reviews and said they were favourable.We entered restaurant for a 6pm booking for 5 adults and the place was empty except for one other couple. The building was freezing (never took my scarf off the whole time). We had the buffet option at £16.90 a head and the starters were the best thing we had all night (and even then I've had better!).The crispy duck and pancakes were all laid out on the one serving plate - meaning the pancakes went cold very quickly.The main courses. I had the toughest pork I've had in a long time and struggled to cut the meat - was it tough or were the knives not sharp? Each main meal had an excessive amount of onions and the diners who had the prawn dishes were treated to 5 & 6 prawns respectively. The plates we ate off were cold and therefore the food went cold very quickly too.I didn't hold out much hope for the desserts but thought they can't really go wrong with ice-cream, could they? Rather tasteless ice-cream and the serving dishes varied as to whether you were given one or two scoops (although we hadn't asked for extra scoops)The waitress for the evening for very overbearing - continually asking if everything was ok and joining in with our private conversations.Overall? A dreadful experience that will never be repeated although the food (what little I ate of it) may repeat on me for a lot longer.Wee Blonde

We tried a variety of dishes for takeaway. It was a very long wait for the food (more than 40 minutes wait for takeaway) the evening we were there. (We'd recommend ringing ahead for your order.) All of the dishes themselves were good, except for one: a hong-kong style sweet and sour chicken. I've ordered this dish from numerous Chinese takeaways in the past, and this one was honestly the worst. On opening it my eyes started watering as all I could smell was strong vinegar. I was hungry and I love sweet and sour, so tried to eat some anyways. It was completely inedible - just very strong vinegar overpowering everything. We may try takeaway from here again, as the other dishes were okay, but I can't recommend ordering hong-kong style sweet and sour dishes from here. (I hope it was just an off night but wouldn't take that risk again.)

Went to this restaurant with my family on friday night , and very valuable price for the food, nice and fresh food , kindly staff , the crispy duck was really really tasty , the honey chilli chickeb was fantastic, quite busy for the take away when we were there , £16.99 is very good price for the buffet , also can order a la carte， very enjoyable night with my family in there very good choice to go with family , and we will back again

Have been here numerous times before I just love coming back to this place! The buffet is all freshly cooked as you order and you can order as much as you like. You start with starters then duck then mains and then pudding if you want any! The service is always good and you don't feel rushed in between courses which is fab. Will be returning very soon.

We visited the restaurant were the staff were extremely welcoming, the buffet menu provided a wide selection of Chinese food including starters, soups, duck and a wide variety of mains. They are all cooked on the spot and delivered to the table in a most efficient manner. The time taken to provide the next course was slower than normal due to the extra carry out orders generated by the European Football. The portions were all ample,tasty and you could select more if you required. Excellent staff in a cosy clean restaurant provided us with a very good night out. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a Chinese Buffet evening.

Picked up a takeaway here, of special fried rice and curry sauce. Sauce wasn't as tasty as from other places, but was ok. Big portion, which did me 2 meals. Tasty, but rice a little poached, rather than crispy fried. Having said that, it was heaving with meat and prawns ! Cost £7.40 with curry sauce. Good value? Yes, I'd say it was an ok price, and would go again. Very nice and friendly staff.

Hi all! Love the restaurant and often get takeaway. Very good place to go and would certainly recommend, but today I got a takeaway vegetable Singapore noodles and was very disappointed when it was too spicy to eat, and when I say this I mean it completely burned my mouth. I did not order it with extra spice and have always been very pleased with the dish.

Called in on spec to try the buffet advertised outside the restaurant. Cosy place - more like a café than restaurant - but clean and comfortable. Friendly waitress attended to our needs cheerfully, and willingly, even encouraging us to eat more!! The menu offered a fairly varied choice from the buffet, and was served quickly. The food was tasty, and nice and hot. An enjoyable meal, in a friendly establishment!

Food is really good, and good portion size. Never been to buffet part but always takeaway! Don't use any other apart from this one, often they do get my order wrong of phoning in tho!

My wife and I finally managed to get to China Town's buffet after several months of trying to find the time and opportunity. When we did get there we got fast service, friendly atmosphere, a wide range of food, all of which was freshly prepared and increasingly delicious. The only problem was that we were the only customers for most of the evening - such a shame for such a fantastic eatery! We recommend it wholeheartedly! We WILL be back! NOTE: THE ONLY REASON I'M NOT GIVING IT A FIVE STAR RATING IS THAT THE WEBSITE IS ON THE BLINK AND WON'T LET ME!

Had a curry but found it very bland with not much curry taste. The food looked good but the taste wasn't there.

Absolutely disgusted with Chinatown this time round.where to start well we were told the order would of been with us in 30 to 45 minutes so we waited & 2 hours later it arrived & all the food was cold & tasteless. I would not recommend this Chinese to anyone. Disgusted. I say get things together. Golden sea all the way. Disgusted in an understatement!!! 1 outta 10 this time Chinatown folks!!!

A surprisingly good meal, walked in and tried the buffet. No problem with a non-standard order, menu was adjusted to fit what we wanted, quick (but not suspiciously quick) service and helpful (but not annoying) waiter. Ignore the dangling ceiling lights and poor decor, chef and waiter will work together to provide a really good meal. Drinks from the fridge but they had what we wanted - Tiger beer included. We'll definitely return.

Pancake roll starter awful, 2 small stodgy pancake rolls. Mixed starter poor value... 2 pieces prawn toast, 2 chicken wings, 2 mini spring rolls and 2 ribs, £8!!!!!!!!! Mains better but nothing to get excited about, chips looked and tasted as if reheated several times. All in all an experience never to be repeated.

Went for a meal here last night, Table had seen some spills for a Tuesday night with very few people in I can only assume they weren't fresh, Food was hot and ok but the place could do with a revamp, Would try another in the area before I went back, But food was ok.

Took nearly 2 hours for the food to arrive, tasted stale and luke warm as if it'd been sitting in the box for over an hour, wasn't given the ice cream we ordered and the driver didn't mention anything about it.

EXCELLENT. I ordered for 04:15 - my food arrived ahead of schedule but because of a phone number error with JustEat they couldn't contact me. HOWEVER, when I rang even though the store had closed, they went out of their way to bring me my food. Much appreciated, thank you.

Lovely buffet cooked to order, very quiet though as not sure if many people know that it's a restaurant as well as a take away ...food is of a high standard and cooked well. Very tasty and would go back.

Seriously disappointing. The Fries were undercooked and we were told that delivery was late due to the fries. Pizza ordered was a Pepperoni Lover and we got a margarita. Both Fries and Pizza were awful. The burgers were edible. I waste of money all in all.

Arrived on Elgin high street at 9pm, expecting either Chinese or Indian food. Quismat was almost empty, china town buffet closed! Asked at take away if they had stopped the buffet. They opened it up for us. The buffet for £16.90 per person was extremely good value and the food all freshly prepared. We were served by the owner who was very attentive. We were offered more dishes if we wanted them, but we're all too full. As this is now the only sit in Chinese in Elgin apart from Thai, they maybe need to do a bit more to attract tourists and locals as at 9pm during summer , there should be restaurants still serving food. Would recommend you try China town.

i have never been to a restaurant before where the staff thought it acceptable to serve a requested pint of lager - IN THE CAN - no offer of a glass at all !!Dubious though we were the starters were ordered, the hot plates on which to serve them duly arrived at the table - about 10 minutes before the actual starters! So stone cold - object defeated!We really thought nothing else could go wrong with the main course - but despite the fact there were only five in our party the meals were delivered 15 minutes apart - the waitress informed us they were having to wash the dishes as there weren't enough to go round - final straw what given that it is Fathers Day they managed to forget my dads order completely involving another wait - in which time everyone else's was getting cold!
