The Chaplain in Cherwell

Whilst this looked interesting the quality was pretty poor & not to our taste. Not sure we'd use them again as I could make better myself & it would cost less, which is a shame as its so local

We have had takeaways from here before & had no complaints!Tonight how ever is a different story. We ordered 2 kebab & chips, both with no salad & they obviously put salad on there then realised we didn’t want it & it looked like it was scraped off as there were still bits on there. Also I ordered one with mayonnaise & it came with no mayonnaise. Also ordered cheesey chips & had to put my glasses on to see the cheese. We knew they were busy as they let us know that our ordered was delayed but it doesn’t excuse the fact that there was no care taken with our order!We’re regular customers & order food from here at at least twice a month so we’re very disappointed

Ordered a cheeseburger meal without sauce cause I’m allergic to the sauce and waited for it to arrive. Food arrived and unfortunately it had sauce in it and forgot my drink. I rang them up and they were very apologetic offering me a new meal or discount on my next food within 15 mins of me talking to them my food had arrived and it was fantastic no problems at all. Thank you to the guys that work there that were very understandable and defo will be ordering again ❤️

Really tasty gourmet beef burger - you can definitely tell it is cooked fresh. The chicken breast burger and chicken wrap also tasted good so food is very impressive. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and the owners were very helpful over the phone to help order, pay and collect so I would definitely recommend The Chaplain to everyone.

Ordered from here a few times and honestly its like the food gets better each time. The quality of the food that gets delivered still surprises me, the burgers are amazing and the chips are the best I've had anywhere. The kebabs are are better than most kebab shops but just wish they did a large!!

Was staying in a hotel so ordered from here via JustEat. Food was fantastic. Great cheese burger, chips and onion rings. Food so good that I ordered from here twice.

Appalling. £4.99 to deliver 100 yards. Blamed Justeat but never advertised an alternative or offered collection which was within walking distance. I was just a hungry nurse working on a Covid ward, looking for an easy dinner option post shift. Absolutely ripped off by these cowboys. The food was awful and cold when it arrived.

Honestly the best takeaway burger food I’ve ever ordered! I had the chicken nuggets, onion rings, southern fried chicken burger, cheesy chips and kinder bueno milkshake. I ordered so much because I was sure I wouldn’t like something but I was so wrong! It was all absolutely amazing. The delivery driver was sweet and polite and did not laugh at my messy hair and pjs. The food was delivered less than 20 minutes after placing the order. Highly recommended and will certainly be ordering again. Thank you so much! Fabulous service!

The food was so horrible that it made sick throwing up and straight away gave a bad stomach sending me to toilet I paid £20 and I feel scammed for my own money. I will never again order from this disgusting place again my life. The person wasn't helpful at all. I never received my can of fanta the worst place I have ever ordered food from. Want my refund or will report this restaurant and foodhub.

Food was stone cold and was awful it looked horrible didnt even eat it. It was 2 hours late aswell and the person wasnt helpful either. We could.obly get a part refund from.just eat not the whole refund..so bad. Wr kept calling and loads of accuses. Not helpful at all. Never agian will we order from them and I suggest others dont either.

Waited an hour and 45 minutes for our food - no sauce on the box meal , barely any sauce or salad in my Donna wrap , dry Donna meat , rubbery chips , forgot one of the wraps , then waited another hour for it to be redelivered !

Very friendly & speedy delivery driver, excellent food quality & quantity will definitely be ordering again. Had a large order delivered to Eynsham everything perfect cannot fault anything! Milkshakes were delicious!!! Star rating 10/10

I ordered a build your own burger. I had beef burger with donner meat accompanied by a good sized portion of peri peri chips. Very good quality food delivered in good time. I would highly recommend.

I am not the type of person to leave a review, however I have lived in Oxford for 28 years, I have eaten in possibly nearly every Halal food outlet in the city. The Chaplain is by far the best place to eat from in Oxford. The portions, price and quality is unbeatable. I ordered the mega box and it was delicious. My other half also order the Chaplain burger, well recommended if you want a filling meal.

Travel frequently to Oxford from Yorkshire and decided to order a real burger from my hotel, pleasantly surprised with the all the service and above all the burger amazing. Highly recommend.

The Chaplain is one of those fairly rare takeaways that tick all the boxes, great food (I especially recommend building your own burger), good value and a friendly team.Don't let my review fool you they don't just do burgers, they have all sorts from hot dogs to curry and also a few dessert options. If you are in or near Kidlington and don't want to cook then I heartily recommend.

Tonight we decided to try a new takeaway so we ordered a couple of burgers and chips for delivery and we were so impressed.The burgers were delicious, the food arrived in lovely little boxes, the sides (chips and onion rings) were very good and generously portioned and it arrived very quickly!Plus it was very reasonably priced!We’ll definitely be ordering from here again.Brilliant take away!
