Havent been in a while. Food and drink is well priced for what you get. Curry Club on Thurs is worth a try.Back again after bereavement. Still great value.

Never again will I come here for food. Absolutely shocking, Iceland burgers, steak as tough as old boots, mash was solid, fish was just disgusting. I've visited many weatherspoons and this has to be the worst one ever!

Was early morning not many people about but service and food was 100% cleanliness was well above standard

First time at weatherspoons Carrick and have to say it has scarred me for life. We ordered 2 dishes .. one at £14.50(3 small plates) and one at £5.60. Yet she insisted in charging us £24.30 ????. We replied with "No sorry its £20.10" yet she continued the argument . There was a free drink included and she insisted in charging us for that too. She then re calculated and brought the price down to £23.10 when it should have been £20.10 from the start ? After arguing for the next 10 minutes we had to put our order through separately. When our order arrived the nachos where cold , the cheese was hard and the chips where not loaded, I also wouldn't consider the meat feast pizza as a meat feast because there was 3 pieces of meat on it and whst looked like a field of spinach . On the plus side the jug of water was nice.

Myself and 3 daughter's go once a week to different Wetherspoons premises and any other family members who decide to join us are welcome i am 80 dont have many teeth and order the same meal every week a sirloin steak mashed potatoes or chips an extra pepper sauce onion rings tomato and peas all come with the meal. The rest of the family 👪 order different meals the quality and prices are more than reasonable + you can select a drink of your choice from a large selection free with your meal My sirloin meal costs around 14 quid where else would this be available at the price take the price of a pint of the meal is only about £9 xxx

Stay way from the Christmas dinner absolutely dreadful for 14 pound! it's basically a low grade microwave dinner!! Horrible after it was served they said "sorry there is no stuffing" like why not tell us this before we order!!! Ridiculous

Great for a cheap breakfast. The only thing to say is it's still not cleaned up, don't know when it last had a makeover. I think it had a lick of paint but that's not enough as the chairs are in need of a clean up to.

We went for breakfast (4 people) and the bartender was so nice to me and asked me if I wanted my drink in a glass or not and had a convo with us,and overall all the staff just seemed like they liked there job and even warned us that the plate was hot and she put it down for us,it's overlooking the see and castle and even if you aren't on that side of the restraint you can see the market and all the shops which is really nice The food is also really nice and at a reasonable price

Great spoons. Toilets on the ground floor!!!! Ulster fry nice, as a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇵🇱 visitor was welcomed by the staff. They even lent me a charger plug. Spot on

Mainly a drinkers bar downstairs, but upstairs is carpeted and very pleasant for dining with a pint or two.

Had a lovely meal in the Central bar in Carrickfergus

Clean, bright, and a pleasent atmosphere in the middle of a lovely sunny afternoon, BAD beer, I had 3 rale ales. First was Whitewater's Maggie's leap. So cloudy I could not see through the glass at all, and after I demurred, I was asked "what was wrong with it?" Tried another Whitewater ale, I drank it, it was just ok but cloudy with yeasty bits in. Then I risked the Abbot, proper disgustingly poor. Then another whitewater ale, stupid frothy and endless jibbling and topping up from other glasses of froth etc etc. But it was actually Ok. Just the shambles of the pouring and presentation put me off. This was yesterday afternoon, a Saturday. So I would have hoped they should have had the beers sorted for a big night. I will not bother going back to the central bar. P.S. A lovely young woman called Molly behind the bar did cheer me up just with her warm and cheerful nature. The view out the window upstairs was also very pleasent.

Called in this afternoon food came down partly warm frozen chips hard fried eggs never came near us to ask how things were slice ham warmest thing was the beans not be back don't know how its still opened very very disappointed

Had a great breakfast here twice, free coffee top up swings it for me and a fair portion. Will use again for sure

Great local spot for good ale or pint. Food is always decent with great space upstairs for dining. Outdoor area has great view of the castle, reasonably sized.

The food was good and inexpensive i had the stak and it was delicious

Went to go in with my family, this young boy who then asked my mother for id got it showen to him then refused to serve her drink because she had her kids with her, bare in mind other family’s where sitting drinking, shocking

Not the usual Wetherspoons pub, a lot smaller and more a locals pub. Food and drinks are the same and inexpensive. Upstairs is quieter and more suited to visitors plus the views from the bar area upstairs are quite nice.

Good food and drink. However unlike the OTHER two Wetherspoons in NI they have no Sour Cream and No Shipyard beer. Sad. That was a while ago so they have the sour cream now!

Visited on St Patricks day and this was my first visit to this bar. The ground floor is quite small and unfortunately the upstairs area wasn't open until 4pm.Had food and drink the prices were very reasonable and the staff efficient and friendly. The bar was very busy and my only criticism was that upstairs area was closed but this was due to unforeseen circumstances. Would recommend this bar for a visit it's also close to transport links as well.

Cheap and cheerful, value for money is 100%

I recommend going upstairs particularly if you are eating as it was quieter and there are great views over the castle and water.

Weatherspoons in Carrick is my favourite place to go as they have very friendly staff and the food is brought to you very quickly. I had a cake for my Son, and they took the cake and brought it out with the candle’s lit and sang happy birthday to him. It was very busy that day and they still took time to do this for him. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Don't like leaving bad reviews but this place warrants it , ordered steak and literally only got a steak and microwaved mash no veg no gravy , yes its cheap but you'd expect just a bit more ...

Good food and drinks, very good prices, but certain members off staff are very disrespectful and immature and it has overruled the good things about this place. Definitely won’t be back.

Had breakfast was excellent. I have been in the trade for 50 years and more. Hot plare hot food good service it was freshly cooked. A very rare quality in this age. Well done to the chef who every he was, that was a joyful experience to see some professional quality.

What has happened to the Central Bar? Frequent visits in the past have always been enjoyable but how standards have fallen during a recent visit. The place was filthy, the tables and floors dirty, dust sitting thick in places, the front door glass covered in fingerprints and there was a general run-down feeling. There were very few people in the place and it was not surprising. With covid still in existence there was also very little to suggest that any precautions were being taken. Furthermore, for the first time in my life, my eggs benedict arrived with two hard boiled eggs! Someone in JD Wetherspoons needs to sort this place out and quick.

i have never ever in my life wrote a review but i am very angry at the situation. very inhumane people that work in this place. red weather warnings around the uk and the workers inside denied a dog out on the street dying of thirst a bowl of water! a joke of a place. they wouldnt have denied a human dying of thirst in the heat but a dog is different all because its not a human! the people that work there arent very humane or caring and would rather let a dog die than help!says it all about it.

Went for breakfast and it was okay. My husband.had the full english breakfast and i had an english breakfast. The orange juice was fine too. Staff were nice and friendly too. Would recommend.

Went in with 2 friends 11am for coffee. Choices on the automatic coffee machine were limited to expresso or black coffee as they had run out of milk. Milk arrived 20 minutes later but they hadn't filled in the machine with other bits and had to be told to refill it. This was Saturday 18th June .

Food and drink amazingly cheap. However, place needs a good cleanup. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Very good place to visit. Well situated on the Antrim coast road at Carrickfergus. Lovely views of the sea and castle from the upstairs room. Good selection of real ales and drinks with a very good food menu served by helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed a really nice curry there last week. Nice surroundings with the castle and harbour to visit, coastal walks and some interesting shops. Would suit family groups. Strongly recommend.

Please.avoid if you have a dog. Sat outside,(i wld never expect.to take.my small dog inside), but was asked to.leave the premises ,(even though i was outside). I wld.like.to know where the demarkation line is outside btwn central bar and pavement (owned by DRD).so i know where my dog can go and know where the 'premises' are. Was very embarassing, no.signage and had.to.ask.for manager so.that cld get.money back for.food ordered.

Smaller than most Wetherspoons but this gem has upstairs bar Zone with fantastic sea view. Breakfast are brilliant and great value for money. Hard to miss this place as the name says... Its central. 👍

Reasonable prices. Good for a regular Sunday lunch

We came from liverpool on our holiday to carrickfergus, and had the Ulster fry a table of 5 of us each day with no problem, staff were friendly and helpful! Food was delicious! We had an incident where I had lost my token of my brothers ashes, which the staff immediately kept hold of and had all been searching around the town for us all, which I thought was amazing customer service and just generally friendly people thank you so much, if had been somebody else they could of took no notice and threw it away!

Went to wetherspoons Carrickfergus with my wife for lunch today. We had the most beautiful burger chips & onion rings . I had a pint of real ale. Wife had a Pepsi. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Total bill was under £18. Unbelievable value. Will be back soon. Stephen

Was there a couple months ago Good value for the food, choice of hot drinks with free refills. We ordered small fish n chips but it was too small (more like the kids portion) Toilet upstairs too bad Will come back again to try other food

Absolutely awful never e back was told after we had our food that no dogs were allowed we were sitting outside the premises when the waitress said we weren't allowed dogs there no notice up as if it was a five star hotel dear god if only never be back ever

A 'Spoons, is a 'Spoons, is a 'Spoons. As seems to be par for the course, very busy on a Saturday afternoon, and very few seats to be found. The overflow area that had been open over the pandemic, now seems to be locked? A very nice pint of Daleside Morocco Ale.

Was a great sunny day out and you can't beat their prices anywhere!!!!
