Great place for people looking for gluten free options. Had the sunday lunch today and was lovely, my wife is celioac so have to have gluten free. Rachel and the team could not do enough to help to ease my wife's celioac concers, even got a GF cheese cake for afters, win win, defo recommended

Once again a great meal at the Cedar Tree. Cheese & onion pie never disappoints & the Prawn & Pepper skewers were delicious. We always say we won’t manage a dessert but once again we had to try the chocolate fudge cake and Rachel’s Homemade cheesecake. Overall, excellent food, great atmosphere & lovely service from the staff. Recommend.

We like to eat out when we can , having a few good restaurants in our area we chose here because of their November offer , eat out to help out , ( we like a bargin) even without the offer it is still good value. Came here last night after reading the great reviews, really wish we hadn’t. Food was dreadful. Scotch egg starter, cold in the middle, egg was hard boiled, not runny. Veg soup was okay Chicken skewer was awful. The chicken didn’t smell good, wife left it. Rump steak was shocking. Load of fat and gristle left on the meat, tasted like old boots, a real cheap cut of meat. Genuinely believe these reviews are fake as our food was not good, a bad experience

We chose to host my mums 80th Birthday at the Cedar Tree. Rachel, Andrew and the team are wonderful. Rachel let us decorate the room before hand and bring our own playlist. She even let my mums ukelele group play. Andrew always makes superb food , everyone commented on how good the pie was and what a lovely time they had. I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to say something about my visit the other day I made a booking through email and was texted a very welcoming yes arrive at 5.30pm for your table Upon entry was greeted with a nice big smile and shown to our seats. We was asked for drinks which arrived quickly and then ordered our food!!! What can i say about the food except wonderful and fresh and hot We had a cheese garlic flat bread which was tasty My pie was delicious and my wife's chicken was beautiful It was a Thursday which was a discounted night on full price but would not of hesitated to pay full price!! When leaving a restaurant if I'm not full something is wrong well I wasn't and then went home and fell asleep with a full belly Thanks to all the staff at the cedar tree especially the girl behind the bar with the glasses sorry forgot your name but it makes a good start with a big welcoming smile well done Keep up the good work we will be back ❤️

I had to visit after seeing all the 5* reviews and it did not disappoint. I have since visited another two times and on every occasion, the food has been incredible and the service lovely. I even went back to pick up the leftovers that I’d forgotten because the food was that good! You will not be disappointed 😊

We found this hidden gem pub restaurant today and we had a lovely meal, Sunday lunch 2 courses for £15 or 3 for £18, all freshly cooked and very tasty, very good value for money. The homemade cheese and onion pie was lovely, my hubby had a Sunday roast which looked and tasted great

Our second time back and it did disappoint. What can I say about this fabulous pub that hasn’t already been said. Three couples last night dined inside and omg the food is amazing. The staff are so professional and friendly and Rachel who is the main lady is second to none, such a lovely lady and really does make you feel welcome. I have recommended this place to family and friends. Food is absolutely top notch! Can’t wait to visit again.

St Georges Day Afternoon Tea We had a fabulous day celebrating St Georges Day at The Cedar Tree. We took the opportunity to make it a family get together and everybody had a wonderful time. The afternoon tea was lovely and presented in true english style. Rachel was extremely accommodating making an alternate gluten free meal for one family member and it was exceptional, considering the event was a traditionsl afternoon tea. The atmosphere was superb, especially when the vintage singer sang and everybody got into the St Georges Day spirit, singing along, waving flags and dancing. Rachel and her team were very attentive throughout the day ensuring everybody was well looked after whether that was table service or bar service. I highly recommend this place for special events like this as the effort made to ensure everybody has a great time is second to non ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Cedar Tree recently hosted our son's 21st birthday celebration. Not quite a full blown party but more than a sit down meal (his choice!). The service provided, from first enquiry all the way through to the event itself was outstanding! The evening itself was fantastic. The whole team were so friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and more. Due to the nature of the event, we ordered the hot and cold buffet which was absolutely delicious and superb value. Whether it is for a quiet drink, something to eat or a full celebration, I recommend The Cedar Tree without hesitation. Thank you for such a first class experience.

We have visited twice now. The food is absolutely beautiful. Its fresh and tasty. Our friends recommend we try it out and we are so glad we did. It is following covid safe guidelines and you feel safe with the levels of cleanliness. The staff are very polite and helpful. The cocktails are very impressive, what i would call proper cocktails not rubbish cheapo made ones.The cheesecake is to die for and i would actually go as far as saying it was the best I've ever tasted. It wasn't sickly or to rich. It was perfect. Definitely worth a visit.

Went to the Cedar tree on Monday night for a family meal it was fantastic.The-food was beautiful and Rachel,the host was great nothing was to much trouble. I had hanging chicken which was so tasty (delicious) and my husband had cheese and onion pie and he said it was the best he had ever had. I was a bit apprehensive before going because of Covid and safety guidelines but I needn’t have worried everything was in place and I felt very safe. We will definitely be back very soon xx

Visited this lovely restaurant this week and must say we felt very comfortable and confident that all measures are being taken to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Arrived a little early so had drinks in the delightful garden before we were seated in the restaurant. Starters of king prawn skewers and pate were followed by a steak with fries and sea bass on crushed new potatoes all really well presented and cooked to perfection. We topped off a lovely meal by sharing a slice of Rachel's homemade cheesecake....delicious!!Many thanks to Rachel and her team and of course Uncle Boris for the government's contribution to the bill.

I had a generous bowl of mixed Olives for starters, fresh and very tasty - my colleague opted for Nachos - which went down very well.Mains were delicious and again - very generous portions. Cheese & Onion Pie with Skinny Fries and side salad and Scampi and Chunky Chips, both marvellous.We both definitely recommend the ice-cream for dessert, eaten in the splendid beer garden.Would absolutely recommend to everyone. Attended here a week ago with friends for a meal !!Immediately you are greeted with a hand sanitiser station and escorted to your table where you will find a further small sanitiser bottle and a information card to fill in !! The staff explained to us that to use the toilet you needed to ask for a key to use the bathroom !! This made us all feel at ease !!We ordered nachos and garlic flat bread for starters !! YUMMY Mains - we had a mixture of cheese onion pie ,fish and chips and chicken kebabs !!We upgraded to salt and pepper fries which were marvellous !!Quality was exceptional with a Service to match !!Have recommended this place to friends and family ..3rd visit in 12 months and it’s a place that just keeps giving ..The blonde owner is friendly ,quirky and obliging

My first meal out, it was very exciting indeed. Fabulous welcome, great table service, excellent prawn skewers and steaks (we all chose the same!). Steaks cooked to perfection with lovely extra vegetables and of course chips. Very friendly and efficient. Really good safety measures, we felt very safe, however the atmosphere wasn't diminished because of that. We had a brilliant evening, being OUT OUT. Walked home, in heels!! The fabulous food was cooked fresh to order. The steak was cooked to perfection. Lovely presentation of food. The homemade cheesecake was soooo tasty. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Visited yesterday for post lockdown drinks. As you would expect, there are sensible safety measures in place and it is obvious that Rachel and Andrew have worked hard to ensure the safety of their staff and customers. It was great to be back, fantastic atmosphere as ever and the beer went down very well! Super place run by super people!!

The food is expensive rubbish. Waited 50 minutes for starter. When starter eventually came it wasn’t fresh it tasted like microwaved from frozen. The main meal disgusting it’s not fresh food it’s all from frozen and microwaved. The place is freezing cold. The ladies toilet door closes with a bang and I mean a bang. Can’t understand why this hasn’t been sorted out it’s dangerous.Very bad experience and I won’t be going back.

Wowwww!! We had a Christmas party there, it was unbelievable, the food, the atmosphere, the staff... couldn’t fault anything, so we went for a party, exactly the same!!! Had my 60th birthday party last night at Cedar Tree (free flow Friday). It was fantastic,the food was excellent and the cocktails were great. We had a family meal all 11 of us (we are a fussy lot) the food was excellent, and being able to try cocktails all with in the set price for 2h was fantastic and a little over indulging.The only thing that out did the food and drinks was the service we received. What a fabulous evening we had at The Cedar Tree!We chose the Free Flow Friday menu, £30pp for a choice of main course, a sharing dessert and unlimited drinks for 2 hours.The food was delicious, I had the Hanging chicken kebab with fries and 'slaw, the chicken was large chunks, very tender & perfectly seasoned. My friend had the steak and ale pie & it was a proper 'desperate dan' portion with fries and peas. It's the first time I've had a 'bottomless' deal and have to admit I did wonder if the drinks would be slow & I'd have to ask for a top up.This definitely wasn't the case here! The staff were so attentive and the minute your glass was empty they were there asking if you wanted a top up, there's also a good choice of drinks, Prosecco, wine, beers, cocktails, house G&T and soft drinks.The sharing dessert was a plate of mini desserts, brownie, custard slice, Clair, ice cream and cream.I can't recommend this menu highly enough, it was fantastic & I will definitely go again!
