The Castle in Pembrokeshire

We had a great lunch last week. Warm welcome, good regular pub menu and delicious meals. We had the fish and chips, gammon and chips and pasta bake. Everything was hot, delicious and beautifully presented. The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. One small thing missing was some whole prawns in the prawn pasta bake. It did taste delicious though. We will definitely be visiting again.

Christmas dinner was fantastic, gorgeous food and generous servings. Staff were really friendly and because one of our party couldn’t make it because he was ill, staff put his lunch in takeaway boxes for us, so grateful. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

We visited The Castle on 2 separate lunchtimes during our late Autumn break in Pembrokeshire. We both love gammon and can honestly say the gammon meals we had were superb. The food and the service was brilliant. They welcomed our dogs too and we will definitely be back when we return to lovely Pembrokeshire next year. Well done to all the staff at The Castle.

HOT FOOD, With great portion sizes and all Served at London Prices and I thought living in France was expensive, there you go and to think that I pay £12.50 for a 3 course meal in a restuarant with a view over Confolon Lac in the Auvergne and Fish n Chips cost £17 in West Wales 😢 ApartmentsWales

Our family of four come down to stay in Broad haven every October. Whenever we fancy a drink, or a delicious, hot or cold meal, the castle in little haven is here for us. The view from the window out to the beach is astonishing, and we often take a walk on the beach shortly after our meal. One of the best pubs in Wales, you won't change my mind!

The staff are just lovely and the food is delicious!! I always enjoy coming here, it's my favourite pub of all time! 😊

Visited for Sunday lunch. Nine of us with different dietary requirements (gluten free/ vegetarian/ children’s portions). All were happily catered for. The lunch was delicious, one of the best I’ve had out. Service was great and excellent value. Would definitely return. 10/10. Only one tiny negative, no gluten free lager.

The pub is fine. Nothing special but nice and attentive staff and a nice setting too

Ate here with my other half and her parents last night for the first time and had excellent experience. Food was cooked perfectly and all served together, I had the RibEye medium to rare and can say the chef did a wonderful job. Will be making it more of a local visit for the future. Cozy atmosphere, kind staff and great service.

This beautiful little gem is well worth the drive to get here. There’s a public parking a half block away. Great food, service and atmosphere. Excellent food and alcohol choices.

Took the kids and the dog for a walk on the beach, decided to pop in for a bit of food, had the Prawn Marie Rose and the kids had nuggets, not forgetting the sausage for the dog, very nice food good presentation, bread was nice and soft and good portion size. Will definitely be coming again, what a great pub!

Had a lovely family time, plenty to choose from on the specials, lamb shank was a massive portion which my husband appreciated, kids meals are generous as well. Staff is very attentive, we left happy and will be coming back soon!

This is difficult. The food was good, the service was good, the beer (Butty Bach) was good and the staff lovely. What ruined it was some less than considerate customers (I assume locals) who let their dog bark, snarl and growl all through the time we were there. I've always had dogs. Love 'em. The trick is to give them a modicum of training. Of course the humans need some too and in most places they'd have been asked to leave.

The food was fantastic, especially the fish pie, definitely recommend eating here. Plus, the service was brilliant, our 2 year old daughter wanted pizza that wasn’t on the menu. They could see she was upset and went away and made her a little homemade pizza. Just the best.

First impressions inside the restaurant/pub was generally agreeable if you don’t mind eating in a place where most of the other patrons have dogs , we don’t really but others may think differently and who knows we may have inadvertently booked on ‘bring a dog’ Thursday Food was fine and decent portions so that made up for Cruffs Three serving staff again attentive at start but seemed to lose interest in our table after main so we paid the bill and left. May go back but probably not

Nice pub, just off the beach, good staff, helpful, polite, efficient. Had huge plate of very good quality Mussels in the usual cream, white wine, diced onion sauce with Chips, which were well cooked and crispy. Party of four my Wife enjoyed her fish and chips which looked good and wasn’t at all greasy. Pub was clean well maintained and homely.

We popped in on the off chance they would have a table for 2 of us and our dog. The staff were friendly and helpful and found us a good table. We had the roast beef brisket and it was excellent. The best meal we had all week during our stay. A large portion size and really good quality food and cooked perfectly. I have to say from the outside the pub isn’t one we would normally pick, as we would go for a more traditional looking pub, but the inside is lovely and I would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Little Haven.

I am a big lover for a Sunday lunch and this was one of, if not the best I’ve ever had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very calming. 100% recommend and will be returning.

Excellent food and service and the Pedigree was well kept, highly recommended.

Delicious fish and the best mussels we’ve ever had. A beautiful spot overlooking the sea. We got the Squid from the specials board and the Mussels in white wine sauce. So so yummy. Nice wine and beers. Would recommend!

We had a late lunch. As of August 2023 they stop serving at 3pm in the afternoon and reopen later. We had gammon and chips, also children's penne pasta and tomato sauce. It was lovely

Perfect spot to enjoy average sunsets

We popped in on a busy night, no booking but luckily they found us table. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, freshly cooked with generous portions. I had the salmon tagliatelle which was lovely, so tasty. My friend had fish and chips, the fish was huge with lovely crispy batter. Two winning meals. A great place on the sea front. I will definitely return.

Cool pub. Great food and amazing location.

We go around different places to try the local fish and chips. So far this ranks second on my list. Batter was crispy and bubbly and the chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The serving was very generous. Price was reasonable.

7 adults and 3 children tried to book for a meal on a Friday night. Not allowed as the table is too big. Offered to stagger out order, book as two tables or book ahead. Still denied table even though it’s not fully booked.

Cannot praise this pub highly enough. We love it! The food is truly incredible, service great and environment pleasant. We’ve tried the salad, burger and cod and chips! All are so good! Do not overlook this incredible venue.

In Wales on holiday and tired and hungry after our trip to Skomer Island, we came here for food as they started serving at 5pm. Our local at home is a Marstons pub and nothing special, so my expectations were not high. How wrong was...

What a wonderful welcome we got at The Castle! Our family (two adults, two children and young dog) were happily invited inside by friendly staff. It's take service inside, but order at the bar if you choose to sit in the sun. We ordered some incredible starters; whitebait for us to share, and garlic bread with cheese for my hungry kids. Both were fantastic and really well priced, both for quality and quantity. The children's meal options were the usual options, but the chicken nuggets contained actual cuts of chicken, none of this pressed and shaped McDonald's mush that most chains serve up and both my kids were full (and that's saying something!). Hubby and I both had the lunchtime sandwich options; I chose prawns, he chose cheese. They were served with chips, which again were hand cut and fried on site for maximum taste. We were very impressed with both our meals. My only regret? There was no room left for dessert. 😁

Lovely little pub at the back of the harbour, food menu looked good but just missed afternoon service. Chef has a break in the afternoon. Still enjoyed coffee and had great views of a horrendous storm in the bay whilst sat in warm comfortable surroundings....

Lovely dinner at The Castle yesterday. We ordered off the specials board and really enjoyed the muscles and salmon. The staff were really attentive and managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn’t booked. My only tiny bit of feedback was the portions were really large and we couldn’t finish. But we will be back next time we’re in Little Haven

Great pub. Friendly staff. Amazing chips and onion rings ! Just what we needed after a nice stomp. We went back for lunch another day during our stay- portions are huge kids portions would have fooled me as adult portions, not a complaint just would have ordered one for kids to share. Would highly recommend.

Dropped in for lunch during a visit to the area over Easter 2023. Staff were brilliant and the food was great. Highly recommend for families with an excellent menu. Right on the edge of the beach so perfect for soaking up the coastal atmosphere.

Sunset supper didn’t disappoint. I had a particularly persistent hangover so the burger with extra onion rings was ideal. Almost instant cure! Yummy. My other chums were similarly affected so extra Pembrokeshire new potatoes were ordered with the lamb. All the food was delicious- sadly...

Had Sunday roast dinner the other day , massive pile of thick cut brisket, and the cabbage and cauliflower were all excellent , well worth the price.

Superb from start to finish yet again. Fabulous window table. Great service and super choice of food and beverages. Particularly enjoyed the cockles and laverbread starter, absolutely delicious. 💯 recommend, but so lucky as on our doorstep with one of our favourite beaches in full view.

We booked for NYD lunch and even though they weren't doing Sunday lunch it did not disappoint. The food was excellent!! In our party we had 2 Fish and Chips which were very generous in size and delicious, Gammon was lovely and thick and a Cawl which was simply stunning The staff were so friendly and welcoming and worked so hard to make sure everyone was well looked after. Would definitely recommend and we will absolutely be visiting again the next time we are Little Haven.
