The Carrick Pub & Restaurant in North Ayrshire

Visited for a couple of drinks. Did not try the food though it looked and smelt nice coming out of the kitchen. Very Friendly staff. Comfortable pub, just like we like. The three of us will be back again

It was early evening and the bar was quiet. Found a cosy corner for a drink and a private chat.

Nice place in the centre of Irvine. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Food was what you would expect from a chain like this.

I have issues with cutlery. They make wraps I can hold in my hands. Staff always pleasant. I have amended my review because I have now been on a Sunday for several weeks and had a roast. It is worth the extra effort to use cutlery for me to get a Sunday roast. They have converted me. Cooked carrots (historically) I've always been my least favorite veg and the chef at the Carrick has converted me First rate all round

Excellent food and reasonable prices. Great selection of drinks. Toilets are upstairs but there is a disabled one on ground level.

Nice atmosphere. I wasn't keen on the tacos but apart from that everything else was good.

Haven’t been in for a while, but glad we didn’t miss out …. Cheered us up on a dreach and dismal day. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, it’s just a shame we couldn’t have done anything about the weather 🫣🤣🤣🤣

Food was lovely although I would have liked more gravy with my dinner optional extra to purchase more which if they gave you enough in the 1st place you would have to buy extra ( good money maker 😉) Fish was nice but as you can see in picture peas 🫛 needed the kiss of life Was kinda of dissapointed on Sunday we went in for dinner around 7.30 ish as its normally a bit quieter at this time and there where kids still in after 8 apparently only licensed to have kids in till 8 as this is what weve been told before when we've been turned away with grandkids but we left around 8.30 and the kids were still in ( hope it wasn't a case of there regulars or there known by staff ) as it shouldn't be 1 rule for 1 and 1 for others

Was there at 2 on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite quiet, but the food was amazing, can thoroughly recommend the haggis fritters and the steak was perfect, my friend had the hunters chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were lovely and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Food was OK but hate the sticky wooden tables.

Had the pub special haddock and chips, fantastic value, huge portions delivered by friendly staff. Would recommend their food and drinks.

Visited this greenking pub and didn't disapoint food was lovely I can recommend the steak pie derek had gammon eggs & pineapple and the other 2 had hunters chicken all food piping hot well worth a visit

Food is nice and reasonable price too. Used to be cheaper and larger portions which Is why I gave 4 star and not 5. But I recommend this place, I eat there often. The staff seem friendly and nice. All the food there is nice.

There were only a few customers in when we visited. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The drinks were reasonably priced.

Excellent meal and drinks here at a reasonable price. Also served by a nice waitress.

To start of the pub is beautiful inside with booths, or tables with comfy chairs or tables with regular chairs. You place your order at the bar and it’s delivered to your table. I had the Belhaven steak & ale pie and chips with broccoli and it was absolutely amazing and the meat melted in my mouth. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it to everyone. I am here on holiday from Canada and wish I had time to go back before I leave. Just a quick update it’s now Sunday May 21 and I just had the opportunity to come back one more time before I leave Wed morning and ordered the exact same meal and it was just amazing as the first time. 10 STARS from me

Nice enough town centre pub and well priced food.

Don't know if the menu has recently changed but went in for lunch today and couldn't see a menu for sandwiches/toasties , only ciabatta (2 choices) ended up with mixed small plates but very average

Yeah it was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty much what you'd expect

Had lasagne and partner had mixed grill food was excellent also our waitress shelly was very friendly thanks loved our day out xxx

Hi my name is Robert here is my review of the carrick in irvine here goes the carrick is a nice pub i go to it everytime i am in irvine i go with my mum and sometimes my aunt i always get a meal and a drink alcohol free beer i can not drink alcohol because of a problem i had a few years ago but the food here is so good always cooked to my liking and the beer is always nice and chilled so i like this place a lot i will give it 5 out of 5 stars i highly recommend this place if you want a good meal and a nice drink.

Only went in for a coffee which was lovely.

Great place to eat great atmosphere

Years ago we used to love this placed for its chicken. Now the chicken sharing plater is really low quality and the hot sauce for the chicken wings is simply disgusting. Really smelling toilets doesn't help either

The Carrick never disappoints! I love the food and the atmosphere here. My only issue would be that the booth areas should regularly be cleaned as they tend to stink of stale drink and whatever else. Other than that it's amazing! I love it!

Reasonable pub that we visit when we go up to Irvine. Decent food at sensible prices too. Looked a bit understaffed when we were up just before Christmas.

Had Christmas Day Dinner at Carrick. Booked late, due to Mum in law’s poor health earlier in year. We had a great day thanks to the staff and management. Excellent food and service and great value on Christmas Day. Thanks for everything. 🎄

Typical Witherspoon menu. Nice food, decent price, good atmosphere

Great food and choice of food. Haggis fritters are spot on. Only downside is the kitchen stop food at 8pm

What a disgrace in these hard times, 2 people in the whole bar and you have the down right cheek to charge £4.05 for a pint of tennents absolute disgrace, myself my friends and family and any one who will listen will never set foot in your establishment agsin, WELL DONE CARRICK THE MOST EXPENSIVE PINT IN IRVINE, AND NOT EVEN A SMILE, YOU SHOULD BE WEARING A MASK CHARGING PRICES LIKE THAT, CUSTOMERS BEWARE, NEVER AGAINhavcheek

Great food and staff I recently attended The Carrick with my extended family, some of whom were from Australia. There were 14 of us in total. The staff had reserved a number of tables for us and we all sat together. We placed our orders at the bar and were pleasantly surprised by the prices. Monday - Thursday have discounted prices including 2 for 1 on main courses. Shortly after placing our order a staff member informed us that the chef would have all our orders ready at the same time. We had ordered various dishes including fish and chips, hunters chicken mac and cheese and some others. The fish and chips requires a special mention as the fish is huge and was perfectly cooked. It hung over the plate on both sides and was beautiful in flavour and texture. Everybody in our party enjoyed our meals and the staff were very pleasant and efficient in clearing our tables after our meal. 10/10 and we will definitely be back

Visited on Saturday 24th at 7.45 to order food. Was told kitchen had closed even though app online said open till 9. Was told by barmaid she would talk to manager,we had one drink and left manager never came to discuss this. Very disappointed and could see why there was only 6 people in what could be a great pub and restaurant. Such a waste of a lovely venue

1st ever visit to irvine and the carrick, food was lovely and staff very friendly would defo return here again

We arrived Sunday afternoon obviously one of the busier ones, even with a shortness of staff and chef the Girls taking and making orders were excellent. And the food considering we had 13 main meals was 90% loved by all (can't please everyone lol) the staff and the food made the visit worth while and memorable

Expensive for a large wine. Not as busy as it used to be.

No ginger ale, no bitter lemon substitute , no ice, one drink and we left for weatherspoons. Poor show.

Staff very rude asked for my drink to be put in same glass but told no but I already had a glass my friend was using for soft drink didnt see harm then was sort of forced out as staff were hoovering around where we were sitting felt wasnt wanted in pub and that was at 8pm very rude staff member

Clean tidy efficient staff friendly atmosphere bar style food but tasty. Can recommend to try.

Not what you expect from the outside. A meal and drinks establishment, menu on a similar par to a Wetherspoons. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't have a meal but customers were eating in large quantities, so the food seems to be good. Worth another visit.

Nice choice of beers foods excellent to bar staff ladies are a bit funny maybe was the heat could be nicer

Absolutely lovely place. The environment was so nice and chilled out. The buffalo cauliflower wings were absolutely amazing and our servers, Tara, Cat and Shelley are wonderful, made me feel so welcome. The Pina Colada I had was amazing as well.

Have been here several times and the service and food have been excellent, however my partner and I came for a meal on Mother's day evening, my partner ordered Steak Pie, he was told there was no Steak for the Steak pie, so he ordered a Sirloin, when it came, it was tough, we complained and was given our money back for the Steak. We will not be back
