finally after trying to eat here twice before we had lunchwell worth the waitsadly no pizza's available for the hubby, but he loved the chillii had the steak and onion baguettetasty and hot and plenty of meatseating both in and out, dog friendly outsideagain - as with a lot of establishments covid is playing havoc with staffing availability

Shocked to read the negative reviews on here. We visited Saundersfoot for a week in June and a week in September. Ate at the captains table at least 3 times on both occasions. Loved the fish and chips and curry, great food at a great price. Always busy so there so it can’t be as bad as the reviews. We will definitely visit again.

Not great. Fish and chips, batter was hard with small amount of fish. Salmon with sauce, sauce was cold. Burger was ok but my husband had upset stomach afterwards. My son disappointed with small amount of curry. Nice to sit outside for a drink.

We had baked potato with chilli and a sandwich. Bread for sandwich was nice. Came with side salad and coleslaw. I would imagine from tasting it the coleslaw was brought in not home made. Baked potato came with a small portion of chilli and was ok. Baked potato and chilli was £11.99 and was nothing special. We have eaten at several other establishments in Saundersfoot which sell food at the same price (or in the case of baked potato much cheaper) and better quality.

Ordered the fried chicken , chips , coleslaw & salad. All I can say is if you are thinking of going for food in saundersfoot avoid this place! The chicken must of been out of date as the smell was no where near fresh!! I couldn’t believe the portion size of chips for the price also. Extremely disappointing, when I addressed the situation with waitress she told me that I had ate most of it. I couldn’t believe it I was served 3 fried chicken goujons and I had taken one bite, laughable really. Completely avoid this place!!!

Food ok-ish. We were a group of nine and most of the meals were good. The roast haddock I ordered was described as being accompanied by stir fry vegetables and I ordered baby potatoes to compliment the fish. However, the stir fry consisted of dried up mushrooms and nothing else, and in addition there was coleslaw and a bit of salad - a very bizarre and unappetising combination with haddock.However, the worst thing was the filthy, disgusting toilets with sanitary bins overflowing onto the floor, one cublcle cordoned off anda sign saying "do not use this tap". Having read previous reviews this situation has been ongoing for two years (or more) and is not acceptable.If you like to judge the kitchen and standards of hygiene by the toilets you would run a mile and never come near it again.

Ordered the traditional fish and chips. When it arrived it was luke warm at best. I sent it back. The new one was basically a lump of batter with very little fish in it. They obviously don’t like people sending food back. Overpriced (for pub food) and average food. Drinks and service were fine.

Popped in here for lunch. Great menu, super efficient staff and quick service. We had the pint of prawns. Lovely lunch!

Sat down and ordered via the app which display2d 9n the table. After.inputting 9 peoples meals the app disnt work. Told a member of staff who said it wasnt working. Helpful. Went and ordered at the bar, told the bat staff about the app and they laughed. Told the food would take about an hour so we ordered. Food arrived, nothing special and overpriced by 30%. Prawns were missing off the salmon and prawn salad. Given 50% off that dish. Toilets unkempt. Better pubs in the town.

Busy each time we visited but managed to get a table outside every time. Large beer garden. Dog friendly. Staff work their socks off. Good experience for us.

My husbannd and Ian had their meal having waited 1 hour for the food which we accepted when we ordered however when the meals were delivered they forgot about my meL and the garlic bread.The lamb was fab but having to wait 20 minutes for the scampi was a shame. Also asking for a receipt and only being given a till receipt then being charged for the garlic bread. Shame for the waitresses. Customer service sub standard

Average food, non-existent service. Can only order via an app but the premises WiFi is not up to the task. Staff don't care and not surprised by walk outs. Discriminatory against elderly and those not familiar with technology. Not worth a visit if you're neither of those. Dirty also, a friend commented "You could eat off the floors in here, there's plenty of food on them"

Stayed in Saundersfoot for a few days, visited here twice. It was easily accessible as no booking required, and everywhere else fully booked. Slightly expensive for pub grub, but this seems to be in line with all prices so no issue there. Tje first time, we sat inside, 3 of us had scampi and one had lasagne. Our food was delicious and the lady serving was very attentive. The second time, 3 had lasagne and one had chicken goujons. We were told we could only sit outside, although it was empty inside. Food was still delicious but the service slightly less attentive. We would have preferred to sit indoors away from smokers, so disappointed that we weren't allowed to do so. Everything was being cleaned regularly. We weren't asked to use an app to order. Would eat here again.

Great covid friendly app. Used our 4g when WiFi failed but really easy to set up account & order if you're used to using apps. Lovely and attentive staff. Can't fault the central location and late afternoon sunshine.

The app was easy to use and the table service was good. The food was nice but the scampi wasn’t up to standard. My main issue was the price of the food but other than that it was a nice place for lunch.

We were stopped on entry and told we would need to download and order via the app ,a family in front of us had just walked away, we wasn't offered any alternative when we said we didn't want the app ,very poor service, we spent our money elsewhere .

On entering was told could only order via the app, “ no problem” so we thought. Tried ordering which was abismal to use tried for 20 minutes all the staff where busy helping other customers to work the app..was told short staffed so could only order via the app..surely they wouldn’t be short staffed if the staff wasn’t busy showing customers how to us it in the first place .!!!

We waited at the entrance a friendly guy approached us explaining that we can only eat ifWe sign into the app Which was not an easy thing to do No hand sanitizer available nobody wearing masks We finally ordered our meals when our food was brought out it was not what we ordered when we said it wasn’t what we ordered she replied yes it is If you would like to order and pay for another meal through the app but we won’t replace the food for free if you would like to speak to the manager she is inside sat at the end of the bar We witnessed at least 30 plus people leaving because they couldn’t work the app Not a good experience which is a shame because it is a lovely pub/restaurant

We are from the US and visiting our daughter's family in England. We rented a home for a week in Pembrookshire to explore the fabulous beaches. The "kids" dropped us off in Saundersfoot on a Monday night at 7:30 pm for a dinner on our own and promised to pick us up at 9:30 pm. Unfortunately it was raining and windy and the first three restaurants we went to were at capacity ... thankfully, The staff at The Captain's Table welcomed us at the door and showed us a table. Due to COVID restrictions all food was ordered via an app that was well organized and even accommodated my gluten sensitive wife. The food was delivered quickly and was quite good and reasonable priced. we were checked on periodically to see if we needed further service during our dinner. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Hubby and I asked a young girl on the door if they served breakfast told 'no'. That's ok what time is the lunch menu on ? She said 12pm oh that's fine we said we can have a coffee and a look at the menu first. To which she replied have you got a smart fone as you can only come in and order on the app ? I know we are in a pandemic but we felt so unwelcome ! Surely most people over 50 don't want to use apps and she could of helped us instead of turning us away ! It's just crazy and this young lady lost you some business that day. I wonder if the management are aware of this as it seems very unfair, anyway although disapointed we found a lovely place a bit further up that was more than happy to do table service. (With masks and hand sanitiser) we felt safe and welcome.

Problem with poor service...Solved: Force the punters to do it all themselves. On their phones, on their time, at their risk if there is an issue.However based on the number of people who we observed just gave up and left, it does not work for everyone. The staff input appears to be to point at the customers phone screen, and tell them they need to do it again.So if you want a Mickie D's ordering and service experience, as you part with your money for their goods and little service, this is THE place for you.Especially if you don't mind what has just happened to all the personal and financial data you have just given them too. So fortunately been reasonably IT savvy, food and drink arrived...it was at best average.If you don't want this hassle - Go elsewhere.

Fish and chips - overcooked,chips and salad were fine. Ploughman's - the most disgusting pickle I've ever tasted (maybe just cheap and nasty). The rest of the ploughman's was pretty good to be fair. Service was good and the staff were helpful but if you can't deliver great food, you aren't going to get returning custom. Shame...

Staff were lovely! Although on visiting the ladies bathroom, firstly one cubicle was closed clearly due to an issue, however the 2 working xublicles were flooded with toilet water AND discovered there were no sanitary bins!!!! This is an absoloute nessesity in a female bathroom!

My husband was very ill during the night after eating fish & chips here x Sickness & Diarrhoea & feeling faint x We ate around 7pm & around 1am he was very unwell x Sticky table inside but a nice outdoor space x it’s a shame x

Ordered fish and chips the fish batter was over cooked on the outside but undercooked on the inside. The chips were nice crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.The table area had not been cleaned see photos.Service was poor no one came to ask how the meal was and had already taken payment so couldn’t even tell the staff.Not recommended in my opinion

Poor. Staff insisted on ordering via the app. Wifi was so poor that we couldnt download it. Ended up walking out, along with 4 other tables. Dont use Covid as an excuse not to provide decent customer service, its costing you a fortune in walk-outs.

This is a typical seaside chid/dog friendly pub and the beer is good. However, the food is not good. I had the fish and chips - the fish batter was very greasy and soggy and the fish is done with the skin on which is not to my taste. My friend ordered a vegetable pizza. The peppers were hard and the dough soggy - it needed either a higher heat or longer in the oven as the dough was not cooked through and the veg raw. Not worth the money it costs and the staff uninterested in the feedback given.

Covid measures in place. Large garden which is ideal in the circumstances. Order at the bar. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals (fish and chips and flame grilled burger). Staff were friendly and the service good.

Visited here twice during our weeks stay in Saundersfoot in September. Weather was great so outside was always busy.Great Covid measures including track and trace and constant cleaning of tables.First visit we met for drinks with friends who were also staying in the area. Second time we were on our own and had food. Lovely choices on their menu. Good food, not overpriced and great service.

The Welsh government rules changed yesterday, in respect of the virus. We arrived and received a comprehensive brief on their operational procedures, what was expected from us and the staff in dealing with us. Happy to comply.We had their Calamari as a sharing starter, prepared beautifully and tasted great. It was a fight for the last piece. Wife had the Lasagna with garlic bread. I chose the chicken in peppercorn sauce, both meals enjoyed. Couple of drinks and pleasant meal was enjoyed.

We ate here on holiday for a very belated anniversary meal. Lauren was superb and made us feel both very welcome and very safe, thank you. Salmon and Calmari both delicious

Very impressed with this pub, both with the level of Covid precautions and the quality and choice of food. We visited Saundersfoot for the day with our 4 young children and called here for lunch. The decor was a little basic and the room quite dark but the food was truly delicious. I had the pear, walnut and stilton salad and it was beautiful. I was very happy when I saw this option on the menu. The kids shared some pizzas and they were fresh and delicious too. Overall a wonderful experience with friendly and efficient staff. We'll be back!

We hadn't booked, but while it was busy we didn't have to wait too long in the queue before we were welcomed into the garden to wait for a table inside. I was impressed with the friendly and organised way the staff explained their Covid systems- sanitising, distancing and ordering were all straightforward and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the evening at all. I can only comment on the fish and chips- crispy batter, tender fish, perfect chips, slaw and tartare sauce. More expensive than getting a take-away as expected ( we did that later in the week when the weather improved), but I felt it was good value given the service and comfort. Thank you to all the staff, great job!

Popped in for a much needed drink following long walk from Tenby. Restrictions due to covid all very well executed, wait at gate to be shown to a table, given spot to stand at bar to be served and one way system in and out. Not a great selection of beers but Doom Bar was nice but then it ran out, sadly no more Real Ales or Cask beers then available.

Have now been here twice and it has been extremely busy. However, the staff were quick, courteous and following the guidelines brilliantly. The food we have had over the past couple of days has been very tasty. Well done guys! Working hard in trying times.

It has been a mega tough time for anyone who works in customer service but the staff that were working tonight seemed friendly , high spirited and were a treat to be served by. I watched them religiously clean hands and tables and all the while having a cheeky dance - was honestly a treat to see a young team with a fab work ethic - it is rare these days but the team were a breath of fresh air in a world that has turned into a harsh and grumpy atmosphere to be in. The Distancing regulations were explained as if it was the first time he had said it - and he must be sick of saying it over & over in such a highly visited area. The waitress who brought out food was bubbly, and the barman busied himself but paid full attention when someone approached the bar.A top team that deserves praise Only tiny bad bit is guys on door should be in some kind of uniform - even a casual “ Captain’s Table” hoodie or something making the team more professional , but that aside whatever keeps this team going is doing a damn good job .Also the food was fab .. but only made better by how it was presented . Keep it up guys you are doing a stunning job

Stopped off on Bank Holiday Sunday, had to wait a bit for an outside table to be available. Ordering and queuing systems explained and table cleaned before we sat down. Bar staff great at keeping people social distancing. Food service was quick and served by friendly staff. Great food and good value for money. Outside tables are brilliant for people watching.

Lovely food today we popped in on the off chance asked for a table of 8 inside and was lucky to have one... food was quick and we all cleared our plates.. great service

The food was terrible no butter on the hot baguettes and pint of prawns with most of prawns covered in eggs should off been cleaned first!!! Spoke to staff about it and they don’t butter Baguetts because people complain they are to slimy was the words of the staff pls see photos!!!! Stay clear horrible food and rude staff !!! No refund offered nothing !!!!! And who doesn’t butter sandwiches or Baguetts especially when using dry frozen ones so dry chicken on dry Baguetts !!!! If u take any thing from this stay well clear the staff even had the cheek to say Iv googled it and they are meant to then if the case is they should make customers aware if I wanted caviar I wouldn’t be going there !!!!

Really nice food. With a good choice of menu! All served hot and plenty of it! Staff nice and friendly and nothing to much trouble for them. Burgers were nice... chicken curry was amazing! Worth a visit.

Very impressed with tje social distancing measures in place. Food was ok. Fish and chips were average. Expected it to be more tasteful, as the restaurant is near a beach. Service was good.

Average pub meal ... nothing much more to say! Brill place for drinks on the harbour people watching but the food was ok - the pint of prawns was poor though. Great to sit out on a sunny day!

Stopped here to just have drinks on a Friday & Saturday evening sat outside. A pleasant place with the staff meeting you at the entrance and advising how they are currently running during these strange times. Very professional with track & trace, anti bac hand gel on entry into the pub, one way system in place and areas to stand in at the bar. All tables outside wiped down and cleared quickly. An easy place to go to.

On holiday and went here as everywhere else was full. Restaurant was unclean, given the current situation with covid was not good. Toilets were horrendous. My chicken burger came with breadcrumbs but there was no mention of this on the menu. They had run out completely of vinegar, not good as a lot of the meals came with chips! My partner had scampi which tasted like it had been cooked in dirty oil.

Just comeback from saundersfoot we stopped in at the captain's.. they have a good one way system that seems to work well. Had lasagne and chips for lunch.and the food was nice but plain..cant really fault it..my only gripe is that some of the younger staff are not very attentative towards the customers..but all in all a nice visit.

We went here for dinner, everything else in town was fully booked due to covid so we were fortunate enough to get a table outside. Food was fine, we had pizza & rated it a 7/10 (my son always likes to rate pizza as it's his favourite!)The biggest let down were the toilets & during current times of cleanliness the toilets definitely need addressing!

Very average food. I ordered the pesto pasta only for it to arrive without goats cheese - I was not made aware of this when ordering. Also the pasta was over cooked and there was way too much pesto on the pasta. My partners burger was okay but nothing special. Quite disappointed to of spent just over £30 for two very average overpriced meals.

Heading says it all - basic seaside pub serving basic pub grub. Reasonable standard & price but the sort of thing you can get anywhere.

Family of 5 visited for a couple of evening meals and found on both occasions the pub to feel very safe and confident in addressing eating out during the pandemic. Upon arrival we were guided to spotlessly clean tables that were well spaced out and our contact details recorded. The drinks and food order was promptly taken and delivered quickly. The quality of the meals was outstanding. Well done to the manager and staff. You are all doing an excellent job in very difficult times. Thank you.

so on entry to the captain's, we only had to wait a short time with the well organised covid regime. to have then been guided and advised on food and drink. I had the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by a delighful side salad and chips, onions brazed perfectly and mushrooms given to my partner ;) not a fan of mushrooms myself, partner had the salad with steak and sweet chilli which was a delight ordered with a side of chips and the gorgeous mushrooms in stilton sauce (ladies preference) all food came very quickly and hot. service was amazing from all staff members even down to the young ladie who took my order! would of liked staff to of worn name badges so i could of thanked them individually. again great food and service.. highly recommend as will be back again.. 264 miles from home :P

We were staying locally this week and after a walk along the beach from New Hedges ( tide was out ) thought it would be nice to sit and have a beer. First impressions were very good, with a young lady getting guests and asking them to form a queue to one side to allow other people past. Once at the front of the queue asked the size of the party and were shown to a table (outside due to covid regulations). She was polite and loved the fact that she explained the new ways of service, the one way system and pointed out the sanitiser to be used on entry and explained the menus were disposable so only giving out a minimum (which seemed sensible). Also taking a contact number for the party for track and trace I believe . The queuing system inside seemed a little OTT but we were ushered to wait in a marked out box at the bar order point were it was good to see screens. This is where my concerns started. All the staff behind the bar were crossing/ passing each other in very close proximity and none were wearing any kind of PPE which I was surprised at. After getting my drinks which too be honest we’re served professionally and quickly and I thought reasonably priced( some places have increased prices drastically). When I took my drinks back out, noticed tables were spaced well but again staff were leaning over customers to pick up empty glasses and plates and again none wearing PPE. On watching the host the contact numbers were simply wrote in a notebook one after another which doesn’t seem a problem but you could see there were pages and pages of names and numbers from days before which concerned me as surely for data protection past numbers should be stored securely? Also same as previous comments team members wiping tables with the same cloth which defeats the idea, real shame as understand everyone is still learning and they are trying to service people just think a little more training wouldn’t go amiss .

Lovely bar and great service from the friendly staff. The bar was well organised and precautions taken including tables sanitized before being able to be seated outside. Foods of a good quality and great atmosphere.

In C-19 lockdown, so seating outside only. Staff not wearing face masks or gloves. Customers having to order at the bar. Saw three vacated tables wiped down with same cloth by Male staff member no sanitizer spray. We ordered fish and chips. The batter was thick and hard. When eventually exposed , the fish was OK. But a fraction of the size after batter was removed. At £11.95 over priced. Nowhere near as good as the fish and chip restaurant next door, which was closed when we got into town.....but when we left Captains Table, it was open for takeaways ...so wish we had waited. More concerned about lack of C-19 precautions....no rush to go back.

7 people only few had dinner it was beautiful well worth a visit couldn't understand why they stopped serving coffee though

Very clean pub, and extensive menu. We had the cawl which came with a warm baguette and cheddar cheese. It was lovely. The Cornish Tribute real ale was also lovely. Staff very courteous and welcoming.

We asked if the place was dog friendly and three tables near the door were. Unfortunately, the chairs were very high and they weren’t very comfortable. I’m a short lady and I felt like I was in a Goldilocks big bear chair! The lady behind the bar was friendly. Our meals were excellent. I had a prawn sandwich and my husband had the hot steak and onion roll. We had a portion of chips between us. The sandwiches were accompanied by a fresh salad and coleslaw and were beautifully presented. We would love to visit again but would prefer a lower table and chairs.

Bar staff were a little ummmm not with it would be the nicest thing to say! But the ribs were excellent! And the Creamy Peppercorn chicken was great. Food took a little while but I suspect that was the ribs!!

We were staying in the area and wanted somewhere to watch the rugby. Had been to a few other places in the area but no joy. The staff in the Captain's Table were more than happy to put it on for us. Spent a lovely afternoon here, food was great. Would definitely visit again.

It was windy and pouring with rain when we went to The Captains Table late in the lunch-time and we were delighted with the reception and the fact that they were still willing to serve us some food. We opted for the Lamb Cawl. It was the best we had during our holiday in SW Wales - and very reasonable priced

Visiting in late October, we were not expecting very much but we were very pleasantly surprised by the lasagne and the chilli. The pub was very quiet but the service was excellent. Very different from the summer and we will definitely go again.

Amazing public house with an a great eating area, the food is amazing and not overpriced, the landlady so friendly and helpful cant do enough the staff were lovely cant wait to go back.

We visited this place a couple of times over the weekend and the food was well presented and well cooked. One evening was slightly spoiled by the slow reaction of the staff to deal with a group of drunken women who were throwing drinks. I saw a couple of people standing at the bar get wet. The pub itself is nice, entertainment, food and great location but drunken behaviour was not dealt with in a quick enough way, as a bystander I could see it could easily get out of hand. I would have given an extra star if the staff had been on the ball.

Went here for a lobster as advertised on their board outside but that was not available. Ended up with very overdone and undersized lamb steak and similar rump steak. Mint yoghurt spread over our salads. We didn’t complain but mentioned quietly at end to waitress who then told us that when we want lobster there are lots of other restaurants close by who do them. Took that as a ‘don’t comeback here.’. It’s little wonder they insist on payment at time of order.

Right next to beach, harbour and car park. Lots of room inside and out. Busy place but good quick service. Nice food.

Went here with my husband and granddaughter coz nowhere else available. If I had seen toilets before I had ordered food I wouldn’t have bothered. They were filthy and I wondered what kitchen area was like. Whole place could do with a deep clean. Food arrived and it was very poor. I couldn’t eat mine [curry]. Would never go again and we are in Saundersfoot every weekend☹️☹️

Called in for a quick bite, wife had lasagne which she really liked. I had oven haddock fillet, jacket potato was hard, stir fried veg consisted of onions, mushrooms and peppers, for £12...service was good but I feel meal should have been around £8. Fish wasn't that special for price.

Came in on bank holiday Monday for a meal, come regularly but try to avoid during busier times of the year (summer holidays). Brought friends who were visiting as as always a really good meal! Pizzas all round were fresh and weren’t greasy. Good selection of gins and a better selection of wines than there used to be.

We called for a drink mid-afternoon. i was a bit cold and really wanted a coffee. My son-in-law was told they didn't do coffee which I found surprising as they serve food. I asked for sparkling water and this was served in the bottle with no glass. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat, but in fairness the food served to a nearby table did look nice.

After a very long drive we were looking for somewhere to have dinner and came across this place, nice outdoor beer garden, although it was a bit chilly!

Been here twice now during our stay in Saundersfoot. Both times the food has been excellent with no complaints (6 of us) staff have been friendly. It is a pub that serves food but honestly you can't go wrong for the price and what you get! Highly recommend

Filthy, smelly, disgusting toilets which should be condemned. No soap/out of order toilet/peeling flooring & wall covering/stains/filth/stink wafting through the eating area. Totally unacceptable.

Ate here three times this week! First time to pembrokeshire, and really struggled finding places to eat that either weren’t fully booked or didn’t allow dogs. We were allowed to bring the dog into the immediate bar area if there was a table free and luckily there was. Food portions are big, great value for money. With 6 of us eating here three times we had a fair bit of different meals off the menu and never had a bad one! The homemade stone baked pizzas are incredible! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Yes it’s a bit rough round the edges at first glance, but whatever you do don’t let that put you off, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Great staff, great food, nice chilled atmosphere. Thank god it was here or I think we would’ve died of starvation!!!

No thrills here, a bit tarnished but food wholesome and delivered at a good price. Can be noisy but our party of six were happy enough including the two children, staff are spot on and very pleasant.

I was really hungry for something spicy that I would eat at home in the US. I ordered Chile con carne, and was pleasantly surprised. My wife had lasagna, and that was really good, too. We sat outside and enjoyed music and song (60s classic, Crosby, Stills, etc.) by one of the locals singing and playing the guitar and harmonica. It was all great.

You pay for what you get, this place is not the ritz but I literally can not complain for the price i paid. The lad behind the bar was ace, the food was fine.

I hope the manager or H&S; read this review as lessons in service and hygiene are needed!

After reading the various negative reviews about The Captains Table we were slightly dubious about visiting but wanted to make our own minds up. And I'm glad we did. The food was fantastic, piping hot, good portion sizes and well presented. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. I had scampi and chips and there was lots of scampi with a lovely fresh salad and coleslaw. Would definitely recommend it!

We visited here after a day on the beach. We found a table easily at 6pm although it was busy. Food came quickly but it wasn’t good. We ordered the Hawaiian & Vegetable Pizzas - both were very burnt around the edges, making at least 10% of them inedible. The rest of it was tough & tasteless - the cheese had no flavour. My children enjoyed the chips but the batter on the chicken nuggets was strange - tasted sweet! Also, the loos smelt mouldy & didn’t feel clean. I wouldn’t go again.

Only had a drink here, whilst we were there (sat outside) we saw a couple changing a baby's nappy at the table, people bringing their own food to eat and at least 3 dog owners letting their dogs sit on the seats, the staff were very young and just turned a blind eye. Also the ladies toilets were disgusting with non customers from the beach using them. Not recommended.

Visited with my wife and 8 year old daughter. I ordered the double burger with bacon which was delicious, my daughter had the tear and share garlic pizza which was HUGE and perfectly cooked. My wife had the vegetarian lasagne and demolished it, stating it was one of the best she had. Plenty on the plates, we were stuffed when we left.

Nothing special but good for a quick meal. Food was well cooked but a number of dishes were not available.Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable range of beers but, as with the food, some were unavailable. .

Went there just after midday, a few diners in but not crowded. Ordered the meals ( 5 adults, 2 children). Drinks delivered but after 40 minutes still no food. Asked about the food and told it was being plated but after another 15 minutes, still no food. Complained again and given various excuses, none of which plausible. When the food arrived, one order was wrong and three were just warm. Very poor service, no real excuse, no real apologies and worst of all we were just left waiting for the food with no notice of the delays.

Baked potato over cooked. Lamb steak over cooked nearly verging on inedible. Children’s meal really poor. Flat lager, would not serve hot drinks even with a meal. Toilets shockingly disgusting. Would not eat here again even if it was free! Rating 1 out of 5, only because you’re not allowed to rate as zero.

Nice, centrally located pub, offering a good selection of beers including craft beer from local brewery Tenby Brewing Co. we ate here also, having Sea Bass, haddock, pint of prawns and fish and chips. All we nicely cooked and tasted good. Facilities were clean and some nights they have live music. Recommended.

Two steaks ordered, one medium and one medium rare. Both arrived cremated and like shoe leather. Beer fine.

Went as a family of six on Tuesday 23rd July 2019. It was warm enough to sit outside and there is plenty of seating for everyone.

Really busy inside and out, more of a drinking pub lots of drunks who had been drinking outside all day. I personally would not take children here.

The bar staff seem to have no idea what’s happening. People had been waiting for over 15 minutes for a barrel change and we got the correct drinks on the 3rd time. The lemonade had run out and was just pouring soda. Instead of changing it they’d have just carried on serving it if we hadn’t have asked them to check it.

We ate here on a Sunday evening. The pizzas were excellent, the rest of the meals were quite basic. Quick service, the meals were hot and nothing to complain about.

Visited Saundersfoot on holiday a few weeks ago. Visited The Captain's Table and impressed with the quality of the food. My wife and son had pizza's which were excellently cooked and I had scampi. The portion size was excellent

We made this our local bar for our short visit to Saundersfoot. It has a nice big seating area in the front and plenty of seats inside . We had lunch outside on sunny days a couple of times and it was most enjoyable. The bar staff were very friendly as well

After walking along the beach at Saundersfoot with our dog Bentley, we decided to stop for a drink here and take a rest. It was very busy so took a while to get served inside but we managed to get an outside table to sit and enjoy the sunshine. We looked at the menu which looks very appealing and reasonably priced so will definitely go back during our stay in Saundersfoot.

Called in here a few times for drinks and one meal while down for a week. Ate inside in case of low flying seagulls but plenty of places to eat outside. Order at the bar and plenty to choose from. My wife had scampi, I had pizza - both very tasty and reasonable prices.

We ate twice in the beer garden as a family on our week's holiday. The food is freshly cooked to order and the portions are a good size. They had a good children's menu too and I could recommend the curry and the pizza. (they will also box up any left over pizza for you to take home). The only downside is the seagulls waiting to pounce on anything left unattended on the tables!

Would not change beer even though it was cloudy out side tables need cleaning and ladies toilets need a cleaning and checking for toilet paper
