Wonderfull ambience in the cafe serving great coffee and extraordinarily good cakes! You will love it. Take time to visit as it’s worth it.

Awful experience 😢 Slow service dog wandering around, server fed treats to said dog , Did not was hands before starting to make our drinks We left, even though we had paid. You can't put a cost on good hygiene

Just nipped out for a coffee break and The Cabin never disappoints! What a great choice of cakes and the lattes are always good - conveniently located too.

Cakes are of Italian make and really good - I have plans to order a full one. Meantime, I'll just have to keep on trying each type to see which I like best...

We had a great lunch of Welsh Rarebit and Pannini with ham and cheese. We sat outside and enjoyed the views of the world going by. We were promptly served and the menu had a good range of the usual choices at fair prices. Good portions and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and welcoming, dog friendly too and our 2 were made extremely welcome with a lovely dog biscuit each. The cakes were delicious. If you are visiting Ruthin with or without your dogs I totally recommend you pop in for a coffee and a cake.

A delightful little coffee shop, extremely friendly beautifully decorated and dog friendly too. A fabulous selection of homemade cakes all made by an Italian baker the best cake I have had in a very long time. Although is small there are seats outside too in good weather.

Lovely, proper old-school coffee shop with home-made cakes, outdoor tables on the square and friendly staff. Use it or lose it, folks..or you could just go to Costa or Wetherspoons, then wonder in years to come why these beautiful village centres are dying. Big chains can survive lockdown lunacy (usually by laying off staff) but small businesses like this café really need our ongoing patronage, especially when short-termist politicians (ie, most of them!) try to look like the heroes with their paltry 'support' packages that are then taxed a year later in the most cynical of economic tricks..

We had a little stop over en route to Bala and found this little gem Home made cakes with their coffee Once you step inside it is amazing place art work easy chairs to watch the world go by loved it The carrot cake is the very best I have never had cake so moist and the cream omg we might have to visit on the way back home Great place lovely coffee and cake in a little golden nugget of a place

I needed a hot drink with a friend and could smell the coffee aroma from this little cafe. So we popped in and ordered tea and coffee which was excellent. And two shortbread biscuits. Lovely chilled atmosphere and good value.

"The Cabin" coffee shop on St Peter's Square in Ruthin is a boutique coffee shop where you can expect the kind of care and attention that national and international coffee houses do not set their stall out to offer. The Cabin is bijou, simply furnished with armchairs, table chairs, an occasional sofa and outside seating in summer months and options include good choices for all dietary preferences. One thing you can never be sure of is what new selection of freshly made cakes are available when you call by. These are sourced daily from an exclusive source and in conjunction with a library of books for occasional browsing, The Cabin offers a relaxed atmosphere which lends itself to a broader worthwhile experience on Ruthin's town square.

We shared a very welcome refreshing coffee after completing the Town Trail... It is small but they did open the door to refresh the air.

We had arranged to meet my brother and his wife at Gail's Cafe because it was dog friendly. When we got there it was closed and being fitted out by a couple of guys. They recommended the Cabin so we walked up to the square and initially sat outside until the staff told us they were dog friendly and we went inside with our dog. Very friendly and good coffee. Recommended.

Wonderful, cosy café in a great location

We walked past the door of this coffee shop and we could resist the beautiful cake. I chose the coffee cake which was light and fluffy and my sister had the Victoria sandwich which she said was ‘the best I have ever had’. Tea was served in lovely quirky teacups. We sat outside and had a pleasant half hour watching the world go by. Thank you!

Walking through Ruthin, came across the Cabin Coffee Shop by accident. Nice small cafe with the personal touch. Only 3 small tables inside and a couple outside, its very small, but well proportioned. Friendly helpful service serving drinks at a cheap price. Only issue was a few of the chairs needed TLC as they were falling apart. Also, no toilets. One to remember.

My second home, the go to place for coffee and cake in this delightful historic town! Hana and her crew provide A star service and it is a warm and friendly place. I have met so many new friends here. Visitors are treated with the same warm and friendly service as locals and are made to feel at home. Highly recommended.

Oh my goodness...these cakes are the best! The choice changes every week and we’ve never been disappointed! Lots of choice for hot drinks & great tastes! Staff are always friendly! There’s not a lot of seating but it’s never deterred us or other visitors, there...

After a lovely jaunt up to moel famau my walking and I found ourselves in the beautfiul town of Ruthin searching for somewhere to recap our journey, after an uncertain experience among the riff raf and untamed children in the near by whetherspoons we notice...

We visited here during local lockdown for coffee and loved it. A cosy little place that is super friendly and the coffee is excellent. Just wish this place was closer to home as we would be visiting everyday!

The Cabin Coffee Shop is tiny, with three, maybe four tables, plus one table on the pavement if the weather allows. But as the saying goes, small is beautiful. The Cabin is on the main square with lovely views. The tables are strewn with books...

Visited Ruthin, the town where I grew up, and was pleasantly impressed to find this cafe. The usual cafe in Ruthin has been Costa or a bit of a dive. This cafe has atmosphere, great and friendly service with great coffee and cakes

Called again today, 19/11, and had excellent soup and lovely cake and the usual really warm welcome and friendly chat with fellow-customers. A real gem.

Great selection of hot drinks from an independant coffee shop, in a really great position for people watching or just to chill and read the paper

Popped in for a quick coffee which turned out to be just perfect. Flat white with oat milk is my usual and despite being quite a small venue they had everything I wanted.

Nice relaxed, clean environment with a decent selection of eats and drinks. Need to do more on gluten free though

Not a planned visit but happened to be passing by with daughters. Lovely Sunny day and the door were open so we went inside on spare of the moment. Lovely interiors and decent cup of tea, the most delicious Lemon tart I've ever had! Felt really relaxed and I sensed that if you were on your own you could comfortably call in for cake, and cuppa, and chat to other customers.

Really lovely coffee shop in Ruthin centre. The coffee is delicious and the cherry chocolate cake that I had was lovely too. It started to rain a little, we were invited to bring the dog in too, who was given a treat. Really nice, thank you!

Visited here twice for coffee when in Ruthin on my own. Since Annie's closure Ruthin has needed a tasteful independent coffee/ tea shop and this may fit the bill. Lovely atmosphere and cosy decor . Great position too and I hope the council grant her permission to put some tables outside.....daft if they don't!

It is so fresh and quirky I absolutely love it - the town has needed something like this for a long time and they finally got it! Service was impeccable and it was so nice to see the young owner with so much passion for their shop! Not to mention food and drinks were lovely! Honestly couldn't love the cabin anymore, can't wait for my next visit very soon. Beautiful place.

This coffee shop is based in the beautiful historic setting of Ruthin. You cannot miss the gorgeous outward design as you cross the top of the town centre. The lovely and cheerful owner greeted us as we walked in and the inside decor is fantastic. The food and drinks were great and we will be visiting again!
