Love coming here, friendly staff great atmosphere being here since day one

Service good. Got seats no problem. Had a coffee which was OK. Music too loud so ended up shouting at each other. Not much fun. I recognise people may want this but if you wish to talk when you go out it is no fun.

Lovely little place , wonderful friendly staff & they do the best bacon on toast. Just lovely.

Great little bar, it doesn't have lots of seats but I think that's what I like about it. Nice in the summer as it has outdoor seating. Never gets rowdy or full of idiots so nice for a few drinks and a chill. The menu is only small, but everything I've had is nice. It is slightly expensive for what you get but isn't everything nowadays.

Lovely bar with wonderful staff and really care about the service they provide. A gem in the community this one.

Fantastic little bar. Spoke to the owner and he told me about the history. Even letting me tag along for a while as he checked on his local customers and changed the beer barrels.

Went here for lunch when visiting with friends . They had been before and recommended it. Staff lovely friendly and welcoming. Excellent service and food was delicious and well presented. Chicken skewers delicious..

A great bar with a cosy, friendly atmosphere. A lovely pint of cask ale (Oracle, Salopian brewery) pie, mash and gravy. Friendly and welcoming staff serve you at your table. Great little place worth seeking out.

A warm and friendly bar, great selection of beers and delicious food. Staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend this place for its chilled and welcoming atmosphere.

Popped into the Butchers Cafe Bar today for lunch. Coffee and a Bacon/Sausage Toasted Sandwich which arrived quickly. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee excellent. I was well looked after by Jane and Julie. Great stuff and would recommend.

Waited 35 minutes when was empty for a sausage and egg on toast ended up walking out rude staff shocking experience wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Amazing cosy cafe bar, very friendly welcoming staff and great food menu choices. Tuna salad sandwich was fresh, full of flavour and served quickly. Can't wait to return!

Always come here with my mum and partner and every time we go we are treated with really good service It’s second to none we know the managers Paul and Kirsty and we are always welcomed back with open arms also we became very close to many of the serving bar staff if you live near to this lovely small bistro bar I would recommend you try you’ll always come back as they do their best to always please their returning public and also make really good friends with their regulars .

Just popped into the Butchers for a bite to eat. Had a Coffee and Coronation Chicken Jacket Potato with salad which was fantastic. Service was spot on too - I very much enjoyed my visit today and would recommend The Butchers to anyone.

A converted Butchers shop from yester year now serving excellent value lunches and tapas style bar snacks and drinks. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambiance is very European. Sandwiches are excellent value and nicely presented. My husband and I live overseas and have had regular lunches there during our visit Highly recommended.

Popped in here for a valentines day drink. What a cosy homely place it is. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is fabulous. Well worth a visit.

Popped in with my wife for an impromptued lunch. Fantastic menu. Goats cheese salad, coronation chicken with fries. All well presented and tasty. Madri lager as well. Nice surprise. Staff pleasant. Decent price . Will call again soon

I love this cafe-bar, very small and cosy inside but full of character. Owners have done a great job expanding the outside space after Covid and to make the most of warm weather. So many beers to try and food is great too. I choose ciabatta sandwich each time because it's so delicious. Would recommend allowing a bit of time for food to come out because it's a small kitchen but it's worth the wait.

Haven't been since lockdown but have had takeaway platter for two which is well worth going for surprised to find rear outdoor seating which is a great asset as ever staff lovely and attentive it is a joy to be back thanks see you soon.👍

Great selection of beers and great food too

Been there a few times never disappoint us, a great atmosphere, Delish cakes and a friendly waitress. We’ll come back!

Not very welcoming on sunday afternoon. Short shift. As only have a coffee usually young staff are so accomodating. But do not usually go on a Sunday. But not do it again.

Got to be one of the best local bars and the interior is absolutely fantastic lovely stuff and great craft beers got to be the number one pub in Liverpool

Have popped into The Butchers several times since pubs reopened and enjoyed every visit. Feel very safe with distancing even though the place is quite small - restricted to max 20 customers inside (though 4 tables outside if weather ok). Nice selection of lagers and very good - normally 3 hand pull IPA etc, though these aren't great I'm afraid if you appreciate real ale. All the staff are exceptional - attentive, polite and friendly. Tonight we were served by Sophie. It makes such a difference when staff watch tables and come over to see if you want another drink when you're near finished, rather than you having to attract someone's attention who would rather play on their phone! Menu is fairly limited, perhaps due to restricted numbers allowed in, though everything served looks lovely and fresh. All in all, a great little place.

We love walking to The Butchers for a nice little drink, lunch or evening dish. They are super welcoming and have a great choice of drinks and "bites" to go with. Really friendly service and lovely setting.

A cosy little establishment with a surprisingly large selection of alcoholic drinks on offer. I've never eaten there, but the food looks and smells tasty! Really nice place to visit with friends, family or loved ones, but the entire place probably seats no more than 20-25 people at a time with no real standing room. Think about how big your local butcher's shop is and that's what you've got here!

I’m a regular here. Always loved it. Great service & friendly staff. However I don’t like when the owners come into the cafè highly intoxicated, being loud and inconsiderate to customers with their friends. Not to mention it’s usually with their very young child - who clearly doesn’t enjoy being there. I’ve also witnessed the child asking to leave because he was tired and had school the next day. This made me and my friends few very uncomfortable. We have all decided to take our custom elsewhere.

First time I had been to this cafe, a lovely little place still retaining some of the original features of the butchers shop. They had a nice lunch selection but I had been told their bacon butties were very good so that's what I wanted. I was not disappointed, nice soft white bread (my choice) and a very generous portion of bacon. The bacon was beautifully cooked and had very little fat but plenty of taste.

Great local pub style cafe with a great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Excellent range of beers from around the world, and many of them include the authentic glass. Didn't try the food, but looks really tasty. Definitely will be back.

Lovely friendly staff, still has decor of the butchers it was few years back, we popped in for quick half but, stayed for another, they even called us a taxi when we were ready to leave ..Will definatley go again

First time in this lovely little restaurant - atmosphere was warm and welcoming, staff are lovely, friendly, attentive but not overly so. Food was delicious - lots of choice for such a cute little place. My friend and i were there for a few hours and you are not rushed out. Very pleasant evening had. I will definitely be going back and i have told all my other friends to try it out.

The Butchers is local to us and we often spend a couple of hours there early evening. It has a lovely feel to the place, small and friendly. Food is great - we usually go for a sharing platter - and there’s a good choice of drinks. A little gem.

Only a small place but has a cosy atmosphere with a bit of a chic feel, if looking for cheap drinks don't bother but it is worth paying the extra for a great atmosphere

I come here with mum and always have the same..tuna flatbread and it's amazing. Who would have thought that crisps and coleslaw would be so delicious?

First time here - popped in on a Thursday evening for a couple of drinks with friends. Nice surroundings, relaxed atmosphere & good service. Ordered a 'sharing platter' between 3 of us & this went down a treat!

Had a couple of lovely visits here. Excellent value if you are drinking- but disappointed (and not exclusive to here at all)that the driver in our group had a higher bar bill than the rest of us who were drinking plenty all evening- should be some cap on non alcoholic drinks to encourage people to be sensible and not drink n drive

Brilliant pub with a great selection of bottles. Maybe a little pricey for the area but taking into consideration the beers they sell, they have to make some sort of living. Very good draught beer too.

On hearing a lot about The Butchers my friends and I visited on a Wednesday evening and we were not disappointed. Sharing platter and Halloumi Fries delicious staff really friendly and helpful. Great variety of different drinks . This is a lovely place with a real friendly and welcoming atmosphere . Myself and my friends will definitely be returning highly recommend a visit

Surprisingly amazing night! Great venue, unique funky decor, great food & drinks.... I'd recommend to any9ne who wants a relaxed atmosphere & chilled vibe and not too expensive! What's not to love?

Went to The Butchers for a quick drink on the Saturday night and stayed all evening. Bottle of wine and some super tapas style sharing platters combined with a brilliant, buzzy, bistro atmosphere made us return on the Sunday evening.

This charming and delightful pub was the highlight of our trip to Liverpool! The staff and the service we're the best we had, and the food was outstanding! Cheers to the Butcher's for providing me and my family with an unforgettable experience!!!

Visited this bar on a Thursday night with four friends. Lively atmosphere and the staff really helpful throughout, don’t remember our glasses being empty! Great choice of bottled and tap beers with a couple of cask that went down well with our group. We checked out the Pizza and Bread Board too, also extremely good. The owners Paul and Kirst have apparently just taken over and they spent time to ask how our night was going and if everything was going well.... we will definitely be back. My husband and I visited the butchers bar recently and wow what a place.. excellent range of drinks (including my favorite gin!) great atmosphere and staff and owners are lovely people who made us feel very welcome, will def be back! Keep up the good work Butchers bar and see you all soon!
