The Bunch of Grapes in Carmarthenshire

Went for a family birthday lunch, age range 75 to 8 years old. Every one enjoyed their meal and we would definitely come back. A friendly welcome, food freshly cooked and very well presented. The chef came out and we were able to have things prepared to suit ourselves, e.g. chicken wings with a sauce that wasn't too hot for the 8 year old . Two of us had fish(salmon and sea bream) that was cooked perfectly.

Wow, what an absolutely amazing set of menus, spoilt for choice, especially the vegetarian options. 👌 Heard this place was amazing and wasn't disappointed. The best food we've had in a very long time. Thank you guys 🙏

We come here to watch the football and enjoy a few drinks, everyone was welcoming and friendly plus they are dog friendly which is important to us.

The salad that came with the arancini starter needed help, so did the chips with the scampi. There was no defribulator to hand and probably wouldn’t have helped revive such a dead limp offering. Frankly the food served looked nothing like the photos on Tripadvisor and bordering on trading standards miss representation, the chips were soggy refried roast potatoes from Sunday lunch. I cannot think of one positive thing to say about the food. The landlady had no interest in making sure we paid our bill, more worried about who had not put a slip in the till for wages. The beer was fresh and good. We left smelling like an old chip fat fryer. I just cannot justify the 4plus star rating on Tripadvisor

Beautiful food. Great customer service but drinks a bit pricey

Went here the other night, we got there around 8:15 just in time before they closed the kitchen. Fortunately the hen party there was just leaving so we had a place to sit. We ordered a bunch burger and chips and a pizza. I chose to have two patties in mine and they were absolutely amazing. Very juicy, filled with taste and to think you could have had 3! The chips were very chunky with the skin still on them and I loved them too. Soph really liked the pizza, got half way through it and was full, size wise noat people will get through it pretty without much trouble I think. Base of the pizza was very soft and loads of cheese. Was maybe on the expensive side however the quality lived up to it. Even though we got there pretty close to the closing time for the kitchen the staff were lovely, think they could tell we weren't from around there. Really sweet Welsh atmosphere there, would definitely recommend

The food was stunning. Good atmosphere and nice beer. The only negative was the toilets were not the cleanest. Overall very good and recommended.

Excellent service, really good food, freshly cooked and very welcoming and helpful staff. They went out of their way to deal with our dietary requirements and were very successful.

We were away for my husbands 62 birthday, and went for a walk, just 2 mins into the town, we came across this place! What a little gem of a place! A roaring fire, we were greeted by a lovely friendly lady, who took our order, think this is the friendliest pub I have ever been in! Dogs were allowed to! The food was outstanding, real fat homemade chips! The cottage pie was so tasty, if ever your near, give this place a go! You won't be disappointed! Will definitely be back.

Our angora goat group went last night for their Christmas Party menu. what a fabulous evening. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, the friendliest most efficient serving staff I have encountered in a long while and food to die for.

We didn't quite know what to expect but we couldn't have been more please with the light lunch we had! Cheese toastie with the cheese deliciously oozing out, and a decent salad garnish with dressing and home made coleslaw to accompany it. My husband had the chicken baguettes and it was equally good. Top marks for a small town pub!

Very tasty lunch enjoyed today😋 You could say we only had a toasted sandwich & a baguette....however with the generous salad & homemade slaw & fab side order of chips & a pint it was a very well priced & delicious suprise all round . Diolch!

A short walk from my business premises, and I can only apologise for not eating here before. Went for Sunday Dinner for two. Well presented roast beef dinner with good size portions of both Meat and Veg (there was also option of turkey) Friendly service and reasonably prices. Very impressed thank you.

Great selection of food, and really helpful staff. A few good sized rooms out the back for food with a cozy bar area with a fire.

Called in today (20/11) for lunch. Lovely welcome from staff and locals. The food was delicious with an amazing vegan/veggie menu. I also enjpyed meeting Pickles. The pub cat. X

By far the dirtiest place ive ever eaten. Filthy glasses, toilets and the pizza we ordered wasnt cooked properly. Never again. Totally unloved place inside and out.

Lovely little pub.homely feel.had the gammon which was amazing.ordered an eton mess for desert..hmm bit odd..strawberry sauce at bottom.loads of sloppy squirty cream.little bit of meringue on top .one strawberry and more sauce...was a bit too sweet...would defo have the meal again but not pudding

Found this pub via trip advisor on a recent outing, great pub with restaurant area and good ambiance. Plus they are dog friendly. The food was excellent my partner had the lamb steak and I had the sea bass, both cooked perfectly. The service was second to none. Great to see quality food and service. Would definitely going again if in the area.

Nice pub in a quirky little town.

I was really excited about the place as it seems to have a lot of good reviews... Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations.. we had to sit at the back, in a room with no music and with mould crawling up the walls and curtains! As the main area was busy and we did not wish to take up a large table. My food was presented really well, but was tepid! The burger was only just warm, but my partners food was really tasty and he couldn't fault it. So whether it was that mine had to sit a bit longer to wait for his to cook, I don't know, but I was disappointed!

Delicious lunch. The bar staff were lovely and very helpful. Homemade soup was gorgeous. Excellent burger. Nothing was too much trouble and there was even a bowl of treats for the dog

My husband's steak was off. Really don't understand how the chef did not notice as the smell was awful. Put the rest of us adults off our food. When it came time to pay the bill, we were just told an amount. We asked to see the bill, only to find that we were charged for items that we had ordered, but told were not available. Service was a bit of a shambles and food storage/hygeine possibly needs looking at.

Booked for 7.30pm, ordered at 7.45pm waited until 9.30pm for our food, we could see that the pub was busy so didn’t complain for the first hour but then the pub and restaurant area emptied out and still no food. We had 2 young children with us that were getting very tired. We asked how long the food would be after 1 hour wait and we’re told that they were unsure as they had been busy no, real apology and no staff member through out the long wait came over and apologised. The table next to us were told there would be a wait for food and offered a free drink for the wait. I had to ask for money to be taken off the bill! This is not customer service! When the food eventually arrived it was average, some dishes no flavour and bland. Sad as reading the menu and reviews online we were all very excited to visit. Overall a huge disappointment.

A busy thurs evening didn't stop the lovely lady finding us a better table to fit round,,we had great service and can highly recommend the ribs which were beautiful, and proper home made chips were lovely too,the pub has a lovely atmosphere,is very dog friendly, and the two lovely ladies handled your front of house spot on !!

Popped in for a pint while waiting for an Indian takeaway order to be ready next door. Very friendly and good atmosphere with a good choice of on tap beer lager and cider.

Stopped here today for Sunday lunch, roast pork for me and a vegetarian option for the wife and I can honestly say it was by far the best Sunday Roast I’ve had in a long time… We then decided to sample the dinner menu for a take away and it didn’t disappoint. Great food at very reasonable prices and dog friendly as well.. Highly recommend a visit..

Despite a mix up with our booking we were seated quickly & issued with menus. Between us we had chicken Kiev, pizza, scampi, & bunch burgers. The food was fantastic; all home-cooked & fresh. Nothing appeared to have been frozen, for eg the scampi was breaded in panko breadcrumbs. The staff were really friendly, & the resident cat, Pickle, very happy to be made a fuss of. We’ll definitely return if we find ourselves in the vicinity again.

Was recommended this pub by a local and to be honest, it was fab, our first impressions as we walked in were mixed tbh but never judge a book by its cover, the food was amazing and everyone was extremely animal friendly, will definitely be calling here again next time we are in town.

One year on from our first visit and it was even better than we remembered! Great meal and first time with our new puppy! Really great food, great service, and great time. Honestly, I can't wait till we are back on holiday again, not leaving it a year this time!

We found this absolute gem when on holiday in 2022. The food was great and staff friendly. But could it be as good a year later? Oh yes! The food is really good quality and cooked spot on. Particular mention for the horseshoe gammon, top quality meat with very little rind, served with a great chunk of pineapple and runny fried egg. Pizzas were enjoyed and extra homemade chips. As for the garlic bread with cheese WOW honestly think it's the best garlic bread I've had bar none! This was out first time taking our new puppy out, and what a great time he had! Genuine love of dogs from the staff, great atmosphere so doesn't over excite them, and his first ever doggy ice cream went down as well as my Inchs Cider! With friendly and attentive staff, what else could you ask for! We will 100% be back. We've found our happy place to holiday and the best place to eat!

The service was diabolical, the atmosphere is great if "druggies in the toilet" is your vibe, the kitchen was filthy, the menu on the website is completely different to the one we were handed The food however was delicious but unfortunately way overpriced when you take into consideration the service and atmosphere Not that I'm going to be passing again as I was on holiday but I certainly wouldn't recommend this place

Staying in a cottage nearby for a week and really pleased to find such a wonderful local pub that is dog friendly too. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Our kids had a nice play area to keep them occupied and the pub garden was perfect to enjoy the sun. Would highly recommend and we'd love to come back.

We've just had takeaway from here after being let down by another restaurant. The food was excellent, tasty, fresh and all prepared in good time.

Visited on an over night stay. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. There was a good range in the menu including several vegan options. The food was delicious!!!! The pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Charming authentic friendly pub. We had a delicious burger and the spicy Korean chicken thighs which were very tasty. We arrived with two dogs on a busy Friday evening and hadn’t booked but nothing was too much trouble, we will be back !

After visiting in the Summer for a lovely Roast, we decided to visit again. We arrived with our dogs and made very welcome. They even had some lovely biscuits on the bar. Our 3 meals were delicious and will definitely be back!

We were staying in the area and needed a dog friendly pub near by- this place not only LOVES dogs, but it had Sky Sports and one of the best pub burgers I have ever had. 10/10 would visit again!

Very good pub, but we had a very bad experience with the barmaid, she was very rude to us for no apparent reason, and we tried to be nice and polite as much as we could, maybe she had a bad time that day but that kind of attitude is completely unacceptable.
