Food is average. Not bad but I have tried better. But chili chips not eatable. Mixed with ketchup.

Went for a evening meal have the large mixed grill plus a curry each and it was all fantastic i would recommend the place to everyone to try

Mega food, genuinely a properly nice meal. Tasty and cooked perfectly, served efficiently by friendly and happy staff. Prices perfectly reasonable and portions just right. The place is big too, we were sat in a function type room at the rear, but large bar areas with plenty of seating available. Tv screens all round showing football to keep those types happy. Car parking is available, not too many spaces though so on road parking an option if no spaces left.

Not the best tasting chicken tikka massala... no flavour whatsoever..nann bread really thin and too much clarified butter on top, which made it really greasy.

First time trying the builders. We came just before the rush, i think! Busy. Lovely to see a good mix of people. Food was lovely we had a medium sizzler, 2 nans and masala chips for 2 people was ample.

One of the most busiest pub/restaurants I've been to serving punjabi food. The restaurant was full, we had to book a table before hand. I've been to many places serving Indian food and I have to say everything we ate tasted great. Only Downside I would say was a lack of parking and on this particular day service, we waited around a hour for food to come out.

Avoid at all costs! Ordered food for takeaway items were missing. Food was late and cold. Restaurant staffs attitude was extremely poor and rude! No apology, no replacement just told to claim a refund and accused the driver of stealing it but the bag was sealed so obviously not stolen. Just didn’t want to admit a simple mistake. Won’t ever use again!!

Ordered for delivery. Took ages as driver took our food somewhere else. How do you take food to the wrong address when the address is on the order. Food arrived barely luke warm, popadoms were mostly broken into little bits, chips were like soggy cardboard. Waste of £50. Will be going else where in future. It’s not good enough!!

Nice busy place with a car park at the side. Drinks a bit pricey. Food wasn't to my taste. It was a bit spicy and I didn't like the sauces. Yoghurt and mint tasted off! Chicken tikka masala however was lovely and one of the best I've had. Food was served quickly for how busy it was. Bar staff are quite rude and abrupt. Food was a bit dearer than others I've tried. Everyone raves about it but I wouldn't go back.

First delivery from here having moved to Wolverhampton from Dudley. Chicken jalfrezi and korma were bangin' . Great peshwari nan. A good find on uber eats but will visit now as well

The service was bad as we walked in asked by the manager to finish by 7.30 but I was not told when I booked the day. Order the food veg-noodles but brought chicken noodles, all through the time keept asking to order the next order because of overbooking, asked if they did any dessert, the waitress said yes and the boy on bar the said No? Then I had to go to bar was give, Food was 👎services was bad 👎 skimpy on the food to ,

Visited last night for a works night out. What can I say. The food was absolutely fantastic. Full of flavour and generous portion sizes. Large mixed grill was superb and the lamb bunha very tasty. Excellent service. Booking in advance is a good idea as this was only a Thursday night and the place was rammed. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Ok food, staff are rude, over priced and staff seem bored

Awful, just awful, arrived and ordered food waited the food arrived husband had chicken balti and rice, I had the Nan bread wrap with sheek kebab inside with salad. Food arrived my wraps two of them were in foil, I unwrapped the first one it was cold, returned it to receive it back a few minutes later absolutely red hot including the salad the cucumber was red hot it had just been put into the microwave wrap, kebab meat salad and reheated. Absolutely disgusting, why would you put this into the microwave???? Sent it back again did get a new wrap but it was not very warm and not nice at all chilli chips barely warm very soggy. Shame saw all the 5 star reviews and thought it would be nice, never again was ill all night absolutely disgusting service

Amazing food mixed grill is defo the one

Go here monthly with my mate for a catch up and meal. Can not beat the food quality, price, selection of available drinks and how catering they are to the disabled (I'm a wheelchair user) Honestly the best place for a mixed grill in Wolverhampton, possibly the Midlands

Parking at side of building. Inside the pub is quite dated, in need of a good refurb. Had to wait a long time, then starter and main came out at the same time. Room very noisy with music, sport and pool. A lot of swearing 🤬 by customers, so if bringing children be warned. Had fish pakora which was lovely but chili sauce a small portion between 2 people. Had lamb sag, rice and keema nann. Food very disappointing. Sag thick, tasteless and looked like my dog 🐕 had done a number 2 in the 🥣.Keema Nann had minimal amount of keema, very garlicky even though I did not ask for garlic Nann. Would not come back, a lot better pubs that do the same thing but better.

Popped in for a quick pint. Ordered take out too. Didnt take too long after we ordered. Was delicious. Would definitely go back there

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time in the pub. I had the best butter chicken curry and my girlfriend had an chicken Korma and said it was the best one she ever had. The plates need to be a little bigger as it was a little bit smaller for my curry lunch. The food are fantastic with great flavours. I tasted the spices and the chicken was amazing. Please give me the recipe for butter chicken curry and chicken Korma.

Best curry house in Wolverhampton. Amazing food quality and price is very good. Decor needs some work and it's very busy and pretty noisy but the food is just wow. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they sell bankss. Not a lot of parking. Will definitely be going back.

£3.90 for a Carling. £3.90 in All bloody Saints. Good grief. I'm in Lanesfield and our local is £3.00 for a Carling. Only recently gone up as well. This place offers nothing more, will be giving it a miss. Shame as well as we come as a big group of Carling drinking lads.

Went to the builders after 6 years as I had moved cities. Was really looking forward to it and was I disappointed. On the grill you could tell everything was premade and reheated. Won't be returning

It's been a while since we've used this place and we were really impressed with our takeaway last night. I love a madras and my wife loves chicken tikka masala. Both curries were brilliant, full of flavour with a lovely sauce. We shall definitely be using the builders arms more often!

Good food had the Pakora fish and it was excellent.

I don't really venture into Wolverhampton a lot but this Desi pub has been on my radar for a while. They open and serve food at 4pm, which is quite late by most places' standards today. Pulled into their car park which had an adequate amount of spaces, took a little effort to find an open entrance which turned out to be up the side street. Upon entering, you notice that the decor is like a very dated pub in need of a refurb, but that's not something that I really cared about. I like a nostalgic feel now and then. Beer selection seemed adequate, I went for an ale. Service was really friendly and welcoming, from the bar staff to the waitress. It was fairly quiet when we walked in, but quickly started to get busy. I was here for a mixed grill and went for the full platter. It was the best Mixi I've had in the last 3 months, comfortably beating a few big name places from my beloved West Bromwich, which is hard for me to admit! Everything we ordered was superb and the prices were quite reasonable compared to other similar places. I thought the Wolves lads were hyping this place up because they don't have a lot of options over there, but I was wrong. This place is a hit!

Ordered food to collect, only a short wait on arrival. Tandoori Fish and the onion kulcha naan in particular were very good. We’re able to do me a mild version of the garlic chilli mushrooms also. Will Definitely be having again.

Chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and peshawari naan might be the single greatest combo out there

Solid mixed grill. We came when it was rather busy on a Friday night. Ordered the food and it came within 30 mins. Good selection of beers on tap also. The chilli chips are really nice. Butter chicken is very good too. Chilli chicken was especially good. The full platter grill was good but lacked a little with only 2 on chops on it. Plenty of fish on there. The chicken tikka was also good. Kebabs was nice. Wish they threw in a few more wings and at least 3 lamb chops on the grill next time. But would return again.

The large mixed grill was really good, the Fish Pakora on top succulent, the Shish Kebabs even better however the quantity was a little on the light side, Lamb Chops x2 well done a little over cooked for me however nice and the Boneless chicken pieces... Perfect.

Got a takeaway from here - ordered a mixed meat 'kebab'which should have had shesh, tikka and fish porkora on a nann with salad and sauces. I normally get fish porkora and nann with a curry sauce from kaptin korma and it is huge. Thought id try this place after a guy in the gym recommended it. What do i think???? Well im still hungry it was tiny, about tye same size as maccies wrap of the day. The bread was denser. The meat was tasty but no fish porkora and the madras cirry sauce had no depth of flavour. I love hot food and can taste chillis but this was overloaded with chilli powder so it was just hot with no substance. The meat in the wrap had a nice flavour and was chuncky, it jist wasnt work the price of 8.50! I am actually so hungry I am considering ordering from another place! I wanted a full after luging scaffolding all day. Even my mrs said it was small. Would i go bk? Maybe with a group so i could taste other things but i wouldnt rush there or suggest going there tbf.

After giving it a second chance you absolutely failed again. One tiny plate full of salad that wasn't fit to be called fresh. 6 pieces of fish pakora over £1 each rip off. 6 pieces of Chicken Tikka sizzler over £1 each rip off. The MIDI mixed grill that once was a medium and hard to eat was like a kids portion now. 2 curry's one so salty we couldn't eat it. Nans much smaller than ever before. So all in all you have put your prices up anf reduced your portion sizes. Why would you want to destroy such a good reputation is beyond me. Sadly I will miss the regular visits to the old Builders Arms but its time to move on. Thanks for the memory.

Lovely restaurant of which the menu caters to all, very lovely with great options. Staff were friendly and helpful and environment was nice with music / football on for all to enjoy.

Food was rancid starter came out with main the time I finished my starter my main was cold curry tasted like it was a microwave curry would not recommend this place at all

I had a fantastic time celebrating New Year's Eve at this restaurant with friends. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. We loved it so much that we came back a second time within the same month! The entrees and mains were all excellent, but the standout dishes for me were the fish pie and anchovy toast. The fish pie was a surprise hit for me - I wasn't sure about it at first, but ended up loving it. The mussels were also excellent. The steak we had on New Year's Eve was fantastic and it's a shame it's not a regular menu item. My wife really enjoyed the burger as well. Overall, I can't fault this restaurant. It's a great place for dates and I highly recommend it.

Food is very tasty, but might be salty to some. Mixed grill can feed 2 or 3 if you have it with naan or rice... Very very good. Service is generally good, but we had issues waiting for naan breads/being questioned that we ordered them. And waiting for cutlery and other little things.

Ordered food to take away and stopped for a drink whilst waiting to collect. Food was ready on time, when we got home everything was well packaged and the food was hot and tasted great. Ordered various item including butter chicken and mixed grill, all excellent. Looking forward to returning again soon. Would be great to get some more rum options behind the bar for future.

This has to be one the best pubs I’ve ever been to, Birmingham the home of the Balti? not anymore. What’s the one thing people crave when out for a few beers at the end of the night , a good curry. Well this pub has it all. Excellent food, Excellent staff. I live in Shropshire but I will be visiting again soon, it is well worth the drive. See you soon AAChin

I've been going to 'The Builder's' for quite some time now. OK, so the building isn't as grand as some restaurants out there, and the service is generally no thrills, but they more than make up for it with the food, which is outstanding as well as excellent value for money. I generally have the medium mixed grill, which comes with lamb kebabs, chicken wings, chicken tikka, fish pokara, and a lamb chop. I also normally order a chicken jalfrezi for good measure. I can't fault the food. It is consistently delicious. The meat is soft, flavoursome, and generously portioned. I ordered takeaway for the first time this week and was slightly apprehensive about the food not being up to the usual high standards, which you sometimes find with takeaway, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you're all about good food, I highly recommend The Builder's Arms.

This is a great combination of a British pub and Indian restaurant Sit down with a good pint of beer and have a Indian snack or a full curry with it. A must visit if you like beer and curry

It’s fair to say this is now one of the best mixed grills you’ll get in Wolverhampton. They did have a dip for a while but have majorly improved. Prices have risen but so has everything else so fair play! Will definitely be returning. Thanks lads
