Banging little pub, proper proper. Nice ambiance, good beer, 11/10 would booze again. I hear the foods banging too, I haven't tried it yet, but there's always the next visit. Their pub quiz on Monday is solid!

Well what can I say, 3 of us had the steak and it was perfect melt in the mouth, could not fault them, but the chilli burger was very disappointing, over cooked and hard (partner would not take it back) but the cheesy garlic bread was sooooo delish as was the onion rings. Yes I would definitely go again, but avoid the burger. On another good note, staff were very friendly and welcoming

A really nice traditional local pub. It is exactly what you would expect of a pub that's been going for so long. Sadly reflecting current economic situations, it doesn't stay open as long as it used to, and it stops serving food quite early at 7pm ish. But the food is nice if you're looking for an early dinner. Plus, it always has a local beer and nice selection of wines and spirits.

Really nice old fashioned pub. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. It can be fairly busy, even though I was there at midday on a tuesday, so it is popular! I had a pint of Guinness and ordered a prawn baguette with chips. The Guinness was okay- it had potential but it was apparent the glass was dirty if you notice the bubbling and lack of creamy stick of the pint, it left much to be desired unfortunately. The baguette was really nice, very good quality prawns, and really tasty chips. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! I will definitely be coming back again as it was a cheap visit and great service.

Family Sunday Lunch of 14 booked table for 2 pm food ,served really quickly lovely Sunday lunch. Staff very helpful 2 small children accommodated in party.

We called for lunch having enjoyed good home cooked food in the pub previously. Sadly the food was really disappointing, but no longer the home cooked ham oe chilli. We were served bog standard mass produced fare. What a shame!

Been coming tobthe Brunswick for years. One of Swansea's hidden gems! Lovely cosy atmosphere, good place to chill out and sip on a pint. Food and drink is always good quality at decent prices as well. Keep it going folks!

Great beer on cask and on draught served here. Can recommend the steak or chicken fajitas! Nice and cosy with a nice bunch of locals. Lovely service always.

Seen better days, but what great pubs haven’t. The food is spot on. Had a chilli burger and they had the best chips and home made chilli.

Fabulous Sunday lunch! I had turkey and my partner had the beef, the lamb was not available. We ate every bit! An absolute joy to dine at. The staff are attentive and very polite. This has now become my favourite place to eat a Gravy dinner! 👍🏻 Just to say... The toilets were immaculate. So clean.

Visited this pub after finding it when playing Geoguessr! The pub is good, the drinks are nice. The atmosphere here wasn't really up to my liking though.

Good pub with good somfortable bars and seating. Its not a student pub and not a sports viewing venue either. Prices a bit higher than some pubs around here, but it's great to have choices.

OMG! Where do I start. We had drinks here before we went for our Chinese and everything was fine. After our meal we thought we'd go there for a nightcap. OMG I have never met such terrible customer service. She asked us to finish our drinks then stood over us whilst doing this even tho there were lots of other people in the pub. She was soo confrontational and said I'll tell you when you can leave my pub!!! Never ever been treated like this in any place I've ever been. Terrible customer service!!!!!!!

We had food here today and the food was outstanding. As a past chef myself the food was extremely good...

We had dinners on a Sunday we had starters we chose soups of the day another guest had prawn cocktail and other had mushrooms. Then we all had dinners and afters. The veg was the biggest let down cabbage greens was not cooked enough. The staff were so lovely and had a warm welcome. The lady serving us was lovely and friendly. We will come back in the week to try the other menu. It's a really lovely pub.

We had an early evening meal at this gem of a backstreet pub. Yes the decco is dated however it adds to the atmosphere of what is a traditional British pub. Staff were friendly and welcoming We had the house chicken curry and the chicken fajitas. Both were piping hot and delicious. The Butcombe bitter was also very good Recommend

Wonderful pub!! The fish and chips are excellent! My party ordered me a Guinness as well. So great combination! The waitress was great and service was top notch!!

The food was amazing and much better compared to normal chain pub food (especially the chips and smothered chicken!). It is a quiet pub, with a friendly atmosphere The staff is friendly and the service is brilliant.

We were here for the first time eating Sunday dinner. I had beef, my partner had the lamb. The food was fabulous! Plenty to eat and the gravy was so good. I had the crumble and custard for pudding. It was lovely, and so much! My partner finished it off as I was so full.. 👍🏻 The waitress service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. The older gentleman, who I think runs it, was very professional and made us feel very welcome. We will return for Sunday lunch again, it was that good! 😋

Recently moved to Swansea and heard good things about this pub. Was excited to visit but unfortunately my dog wasn't welcome (no dogs allowed). This is the first time I've personally experienced a 'no dogs' rule in a pub and although the place was lovely inside I sadly won't be back.

We have used this pub before and had a good experience so as we were in Swansea thought we would repeat the experience. We were not disappointed. First we are real ale fans, cask beer and traditional, so we knew that there would be good...

Excellent Christmas lunch. Best nut roast ever, such good pastry and layer of spinach made all the difference. will return.

Love to visit this pub for a couple of pints and some proper home-made grub! The staff and landlord are always welcoming, friendly and efficient. It's still got that proper old pub atmosphere which is unfortunately disappearing slowly as many places are struggling to stay...

Best pub in Swansea. But when are the live acts coming back?

Had lunch here today, the weather was cold and wet so I fancied some comfort food. The menu was good with plenty of choice. I went for chilli con carne and asked the guy serving if it was spicy. He said not really, but the chef would spice it up for me, and it was face tinglingly fantastic. The wife had fish & chips and that was lovely too. Great local pub with lovely food and great hospitality.

Lovely friendly pub. Done a search for a Sunday roast while in the area. Very generous potions, staff was very helpful. Very clean... Will call in again when we down that area again.

I visited last night (31/01/2022) for the pub quiz with a group of American exchange students. We weren't quite sure what to do once we arrived, but the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I also loved the atmosphere of the pub and definitely plan to return!

Nice pub. Good selection of ale. No prices on the beer. Bit shocked with the bill at the end. Service was good. Food warm and delayed for the time we booked for.

Go here the last friday of every month for lunch. Enjoy the chilli burger and range of drinks. Always a friendly welcome. Happy days

I love this little pub. There is outdoor seating and hot food. It's clean and they still have covid measures in place. The food was really tasty and fresh. Will come back soon.
