I’ve been here many times over the years but the food really is fantastic. Soup was amazing, panini great and ice cream is second to none. My only criticism is the bathrooms really need a revamp but the food and service are deserving of 5 stars.

Came in for a work birthday. Since we had a wheelchair user in the party, I called first to ask if everything would be accessible for us. The team were so kind to make special arrangements to suit us, we all had no issues sitting down together as a large party. The food went down especially well. We all noted the generous portions and great taste. There is a wonderful selection, catering to all tastes. Since the place has a strong Italian influence, it’s no surprise that the coffee was delicious. They cover all allergens and dietary requirements without exception. One of the best things about coming is being served by Sid. He’s so lively and friendly, and undoubtedly goes the extra mile to make sure everyone’s having a great time. He’s also really funny. Best service and brunch in Glasgow, hands down.

A nostalgic visit ... First time here in forty years or so. Delightful. Modernised significantly from what I remember, but a great welcome and service from Sid and Ellie, good food and a nice environment at the tail end of the Sunday brunch service. A fabulous experience today at the Brooklyn Cafe. Our wonderful waiter Sid had the kids entertained and laughing from the second we stepped in the door and made the whole time there very enjoyable. Food was excellent, cookies and ice cream were exceptional but the friendly and relaxed atmosphere made it extra special!

Ordered a vegan burns supper to cook at home and it was delicious. For £15 I got a haggis sausage roll, haggis neeps and tatties, salted caramel cheesecake and an empire biscuit. Brilliant value and so tasty. Would definitely order again :)

Ordered a lovely individual vegan steak pie to takeaway which is lovely. Covid friendly too, socially distanced waiting and masks required. Cooking instructions were provided on Facebook and it made my New Years dinner very special. So good to find somewhere that caters to vegans which is handy to me.

Went for lunch today. Very very long time since i had been ( my gran worked there when i was a child) and i learned the same family still owns it. Service was excellent and my food was very very tasty. I will certainly not leave it so long to go back!

On ordering a very simple order of a couple of rolls, they managed to get the order wrong and when correcting the order, they got it wrong again. It shouldn't be difficult to get a order of 2 rolls correct.

My girlfriend has decided that 2020 is the year to go vegan which has so far went to plan . I have decided to go for a cut down of meat and dairy rather than all out vegan as I have a sweet tooth and can't resist the flavour of meat . Along the way towards Pollock country park we stopped in at this delightful cafe and was very surprised at the menu . The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is vibrant . As we were really hungry we opted to share a vegan breakfast and sweet potato fries . Overall really happy with the portion and quality . Everything was very tasty with the only thing we didn't enjoy was the scrambled egg tofu. The vegan sausages were fantastic . This is a great place to come in and enjoy the cuisine whether vegan or not . It means I can enjoy without feeling guilty about my partner not being able to have ice cream as they have vegan desserts .

No problem with the food the service the atmosphere etc. My only concern is the price of food etc. A number of places in Shawlands where the exact same food was on offer for less. It was not my choice today.

Came in for a New Year’s Eve bite, was so impressed by the friendly staff and the speed of service. My meal was excellent, exactly what was needed before a heavy night out. The absolute kicker was, that on my way out I over heard someone picking up a vegan steak pie for NY’s, after asking about it, I was able to get one without having precooked one. I am so excited to try this beauty hand made by Jonny I’m told. So good to have a vegan option for this New Years classic. Can’t wait to dig in.

Not been in for ages. Came in for a big breakfast which was on the table in no time and delish. Server Michael was lovely and recommended a banana milkshake wich was fab.

Una rebanada de muy buen tamaño con una capa de caramelo increíblemente buena servida con una cucharada de crema más pequeña de lo esperado. Visited this cafe recently for a coffee. Wasn’t greeted when I entered, was asked rather bluntly what I wanted. I was considering asking for a table and having some food with my coffee, but the server (I gathered that he was a senior, or even the manager) was quite sharp and displayed very little in the way of manners. There were only a few people ahead of me in the line, somehow the coffee took almost 10 minutes, it was cold and disappointing. I’ve since been to a few coffee shops in the nearby area so I’ll not be returning to this place as it was utterly disappointing. Don’t waste your time.

We visited the Brooklyn Cafe with our kids and it was decent. Kids had spaghetti bolognaise, I had a panini. Was decent enough food, although I made the mistake of peeking into the kitchen. From the angle we were sitting at, it looked dirty and there was a sign about fresh and raw food- I couldn’t read exactly what it said but I found it a bit off putting.

Really disappointing visit. Pancakes aren’t homemade and the bacon was greasy and fatty. Table dirty and menus sticky. Really disappointing.

Went for breakfast because of a recommendation from a fellow vegan, but when we got there, there was no sign of vegan offerings. After asking a member of staff they brought out the vegan menu. The menu was really varied (not just for breakfast). We both chose the standard vegan breakfast - the server was very very helpful and friendly. Would 100% recommend this place to other vegans. The breakfast was one of the best I've had.

6 of us including 2 vegetarians had a large breakfast! Wide choice with vegan and gluten menus as well as heavy duty meat options. The big breakfast was very filling (includes sausage squares). Choice of tea, coffees, orange juice, smoothies. The food was good, well cooked and arrived hot and together at the table. No one was left waiting.

In for a bank holiday brunch today with friends and all the staff was amazing the place did not disappoint. All three of the servers on today was attentive and happy to answer all our hungover questions can’t remember their names but thanks guys you really made the end of our bank holiday weekend even better. I’m breastfeeding my 4mth old baby who has a dairy allergy, so I usually have to miss out on so many delicious foods containing dairy when we eat out. Not here! The vegan pancakes were absolutely amazing! My husband actually preferred them to his own ‘real’ pancakes (which were still delicious, he said). The smoothies were thick and fresh and I had an oat milk latte for my caffeine fix. The servers were helpful and very tolerant despite our 2yo being a bit of a brat. He got special kids’ cutlery and devoured his share of pancakes. Will definitely brunch here again

El personal es siempre amable y educado. Es un restaurante muy concurrido y merecidamente. Su helado es encantador, especialmente la vainilla que se hace en el restaurante. Las papas fritas son realmente encantadoras, cocinadas a pedido, crujientes por fuera y livianas y suaves por dentro. El menú es bueno e incluye algunas opciones vegetarianas y veganas.

Estábamos buscando un café en Shawlands para cenar. Siendo vegana, estaba feliz de ir a cualquier lugar que hiciera leche sin lácteos para un café. Me sorprendió gratamente descubrir que tenían un menú completamente separado para veganos con una amplia variedad de platos.

El desayuno llegó sin el zumo de naranja anunciado, los huevos escalfados no eran comestibles debido al sabor abrumador del vinagre. El personal estaba feliz de reemplazar con revueltos. Tomó un tiempo para que el reemplazo viniera, así que pedimos un segundo café. Cuando llegaron los huevos no había tocino como se había pedido y el segundo café nunca apareció. Al salir pregunté si se habían cobrado 2 cafés porque no los recibimos, me dijeron que no, pero me gustaría ahora. Demasiado poco demasiado tarde después de uno demasiados errores. Una experiencia cara pero pobre.

If you want to sample a proper Glaswegian breakfast, this is the place, especially after a night out.

Go here every weekend for take out breakfast rolls. get home and every week the order is wrong. By this point im not walking back. however 3 rolls with only 2 variations is not difficult. Food is still good but a bit ridiculous to never get what you ordered.

Asistí a este evento emergente el viernes 25/1/2019 con tres amigos y tuve una gran noche. I have always wanted to visit here and recently got the chance after winning a Facebook competition. This gave me a burger and shake for two free of charge. Organising a date was incredibly easy via Facebook messenger and a short time later we were in Glasgow to claim our prize.

My boyfriend and I came for the Vegan Burns Supper. The food was just amazing. No faults whatsoever, beautifully garnished and tasted as gorgeous as it looked. And the service made the whole night perfect. Thank you Jonny, Andrew, Orlaigh and Euan for a great night!

I can't recommend the Brooklyn Cafe highly enough. Having been a customer for years, popping in for the odd brunch/lunch here or there or picking up an ice cream to go I've always found the service and choice available to be excellent. The staff have always been warm and friendly, going out of their way to help. I have found out very recently that this excellent service is also extended to online customers. I saw the vegan hampers on the Facebook page and decided to make an online enquiry about purchasing. The staff could not have been more helpful. They answered the numerous questions I had and were extremely flexible in terms of items for the hamper and date for collection. Both the service and the hamper exceeded my expectations! The hamper was very reasonably priced and the family members I was giving it to were delighted with the variety of produce.

The food filled me up! Great to know there was a vegan option, and everyone in there was super friendly :D

We came by for a hearty breakfast on Boxing Day and it was superb. Extensive veggie and vegan options as well as amazing options for meat eaters. Proper traditional breakfast with all the trimmings but also poached egg options, pancake stacks and French toast too. Loads of homemade cakes and ice cream. Really friendly, helpful staff. Brilliantly run and well organised even when it's busy. Great atmosphere. Our server was Michael and she was wonderful. Recommend it to anyone. We'll be back.

What a great spot! The Brooklyn cafe is a fine choice for all things sweet and savoury. The decor seems to take inspiration from Scottish and American cultures and is reminiscent of simpler times. The staff are also very welcoming, in particular Michael, Chloe and Euan, and that fellow who runs a lot but I don't know his name. The cafe also has a particular knack for busting out the best decorations for each holiday throughout the year! Go Brooklyn!

As a recurrent customer to Brooklyn Cafe I can’t emphasise how amazing the food is. I’m vegan and they have such a wide variety of options. My boyfriend who is not vegan loves going here too. My last visit here I noticed something that I had always ordered had sadly been taken off the menu. Our waitress, Michael, was so helpful and went out of her way to speak to the chef and arranged for me to have my favourite breakfast! Great service from both Michael and Chloe. The Brooklyn has always, and continues to be a very special place to our family. On a packed Christmas Eve afternoon the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us. From moving our table to ensure we were more comfortable, squeezing an extra order in for us and giving us a wee little thank you ice cream at the end of our meal. All this was facilitated and organised by Michael, who in the midst of the festive rush was kind, polite and accommodating. Her friendly smile and manner ensured that The Brooklyn continues to be our favourite family haunt. Well done on excellent service delivery and a wonderful meal.

Have been going to the Brooklyn for years and safe to say it has never let me down - love the addition of the new vegan menu and often order from it even though I’m not vegan myself- Staff are lovely and to top it all off the deserts are amazing!
