The Bridge Inn Pub & Restaurant in Broadland

We just wanted a nice drink and meal in their gorgeous Beer Garden but we were forced to walk into the actual Pub where someone was sitting behind a desk making sure we all scan track and trace. I said we just want a drink outside but she insisted that we do as she told us. She told us rules and gave us directions of where we should walk to get to the garden. We had to follow all these blue arrows through the Pub. (I didn’t want to go into the Pub at all because of Covid). We eventually got to sit outside. The mobile table ordering service wanted all of our personal details; names, email, home address! all this, just to order 4 drinks! Absolute Overkill. And this was Freedom week! They really ruined our visit! God only knows what they were like during Covid. We left after our drink and ate in another Pub.

This pub has a great location, staff were friendly and pleasant and food was OK. However, the manager - Bill - was less than welcoming and was obsessed with anti-Covid measures despite being so called "freedom day" and most people now being vaccinated. If you're a true masked Covid believer this is for you; if you don't like excessive caution and signs avoid like the plague!

What a lovely pub/restaurant! Service and food brilliant - would definitely go back. We were a family of 10 and everyone love it. Great atmosphere x

Dispite being full to the gills and dealing with covid presures they went over and above helping me to get onine for some important emails. Food, drink and service was also great.....very nice people doing their best in difficult circumstances.

Really impressed with everything! Fun and relaxed atmosphere, but with Covid safety measures put in place. The service was outstanding; fast, polite, and the food was great. Easy parking, beautiful views. What more could you ask for on a summer day!

Sadly I don't like pubs with loads of kids running about i think its an age thing.However this establishment is very family oriented with a good play area for children.It also has an excellent outdoor covered seating area with heating for eating and some in the garden without heating.The food was very nice and I'd highly recommend a visit with the family

We ate twice here. Overnight mooring £5 lunch was ok as was dinner. The general standard of food on the Norfolk Broads is just ok. This pub is no exception. Once again as was the general rule there was little adherence to Covid rules. Everything was ok, nothing special. Sadly this was the same everywhere.

Great food with great service. The staff couldn't do enough to help. We were traveling around on a boat on the Broads and this place was perfect for what we all wanted. So friendly and welcoming. Credit to the management for being able to keep the staff throughout lockdown and for the staff that are so motivated to please the customers. Definitely go back again.

We had already booked a table for four inside, so we were showed to our table straight away. We had a booth with a view of the beer garden and river. The service was quick,and the food ok. It is overpriced for the quality choice on offer. Steer clear of the merlot - it's vile and, although we tried hard, we only managed half the bottle and left the rest. For the same price (£18) we had much better in the Indian we went to the night before. And don't bother with a liqueur coffee. I asked for a baileys coffee. It took 20 minutes, had cold cream floating on top and about 6 teaspoons of sugar in it. I left half of that too at £8 a drink. Mind you, the waitress did warn me they found it difficult to make liqueur coffees.

A recent trip on the broads led us to this pub - they had the euros on!!!! Phil and his staff were brilliant. They couldn’t have accommodated us any better. COVID safety was high on the agenda and service was excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending this fabulous pub to anyone. The food was well presented and as it was my husbands and my 44th wedding anniversary they tried to make it extra special for us. We were a party of 4 adults. The staff were excellent and sounded like they loved working with Phil. They had a brilliant rapport. Don’t take my word for it go try it for yourself.

6 of us & squeezed us in to eat , as they had a cancellation, Shelly was fabulous made sure our visit was welcomed, food was amazing , friendly , had the last spot for mooring so good all round

Greeted by a lady who I can only assume was either a stasi general in a previous life or held Miss Trunchbull as a life long role model. She made it feel like a great effort to give us a table in their near empty garden. Only part of which you can order food in, we soon found out after being seated. After moving to a more convenient table for the waiting staff we were able to order food in person because the app didn’t work. The young male waiter must of been on the same training course as the lady at the door. He begrudgingly took our order at the same time as sucking any sense of atmosphere and humour from the general vicinity. And then the food arrived…essentially either deep fried or microwaved I would liken it more to a two for one type chain pub rather than a stand alone ‘country pub’. Making what they served very overpriced based on the quality. The highlight of the meal for us was the small amount of ceramic dish buried inside one of the children’s lasagne. Added a little crunch. The park and little bikes are good for the children, but if you’re after food with a wider variety of flavours, and better service than you can find in your own under-stairs shoe cupboard I really wouldn’t bother.

We arrived by boat, and saw 2 chioces for an evening meal, and decided to try thr Acle Bridge Inn. Good choice of staarters and mains, with something for everyone.Starter of whitebait, followed by haddock and chips were both superb.The other meals ordered were also of excellent quality.Highly recommended.

What a find! We'd been looking for a nice pub by the water to have lunch and the Acle Bridge Inn certainly came up trumps. The pub was fully booked but luckily for us they'd had a 'no show'. The food was excellent - we shared some garlic mushrooms and my husband had the ribs and I chose the lasagne. It was probably the best lasagne I've ever eaten in a pub. The staff were lovely, they all seemed happy in their roles and were both attentive and friendly. All in all a wonderful experience - nice, welcoming pub with good food and a good vibe. Would highly recommend a visit.

Pub on the waterside so, if the weather is amenable, an excellent place to sit and enjoy a meal and beer. Food good and reasonably priced in a high tourist area. Covid precautions were ever much in evident. Recommend booking beforehand as it can get busy

Stopped at the Acle Bridge Inn as part of our boating holiday on the Norfolk Broads. Tried to book a table but when we phoned up we’re fully booked inside. Took our chance on an outside table which could not be booked. Very Covid conscious which was a pleasing start. Staff very friendly and efficient. Lots of outside tables if the weather is good but plenty also under cover with heaters when not. Great table fab food and wine by the bottle at a very sensible price. We only had main courses which were not cheap but when nothing disappoints then still VFM. I had the fish pie which was fab. All in all highly recommended and all the staff deserve credit.

Found this gem on a drive around on a damp squally day. Ample parking and good COVID precautions in place. We hadn’t booked ahead so as the restaurant was busy we were shown to an undercover area outside heated by wall heaters. It was cosy and we were soon joined by our server.Myself and my partner ordered the chilli con carne. I sampled the Adnams Broadside ale.The food was superb and filling. We had a small view of the river and the numerous boats moored up alongside the pub.Prices were good too.

Visited for the second time in the last few weeks as have recently moved to the area. The staff are fantastic, especially during these difficult times. Each and every member of staff is welcoming and keen to make sure their customer enjoy their visit. The food is good, hearty British pub food. Very fresh, and generous portions. Super location and great value for money. You must book ahead as it's a popular place and you can easily why this is the case.

Ten of us booked a meal for Friday night. We all had a lovely meal. Generous portions. All hot and fresh. Salad was gorgeous . Krystal and Shelly were fantastic and very efficient . Most enjoyable meal . Definitely worth another visit

We arrived at the pub a little later than the rest of our party as we had travelled a fair distance to get there. We were greeted and shown to the tables where our family were. The food was good and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. Very filling so sadly no room for desserts. The pub are doing their best to ensure social distancing and there are outside gazebo pods you can sit in if you prefer. Lovely welcome to Norfolk on as Friday evening and we could leave our car there for the weekend whilst on the boat.

Lovely meal out whilst on a boating holiday. Had pie for main course which was really tasty but the portion was huge and didn’t manage to finish it. Advisable to book as this pub is on the riverside and is very popular.

Excellent meal and service, great menu choice, all the meals coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. Went for the chicken burger. Which came with fries and coleslaw, a good choice. One way system in operation

Walked in the pub to wait 5 minutes whilst all the staff just stared at us. Finally someone came over and said ‘Stand back behind that line I need all your track and trace details before you do anything’ like we were at school by a miserable woman. The place stank really bad so we turned around and left. Such a shame as a beautiful pub but looks and smells bad inside.

We moored up at this pub at the start of a weeks holiday in early June and had a few drinks in the afternoon. We did have a problem with drinks order but it was dealt with very quickly and with excellent customer service. We booked to eat in the evening and as a coeliac I was impressed with the knowledge and the gluten free menu. A excellent evening was topped off by our server Lucy who was very helpful informing us of the local area. She is a real asset to the Pub. Would 100% recommend if you are coeliac or not to make a stop at this pub.

Great venue, good real ales and the food was fabulous! The garlic chicken breast was beautiful! Great, friendly staff too!

Starter: sharing plates. Very expensive for the Goujons etc and all were over cooked. Nachos were really good. Mains: not good. Over cooked and poor quality food. Inedible! Cheap condiments too. Service amazing. Such a shame the food let’s this place down. We still tipped as the waitress was great and sought out feedback when she saw we hadn’t eaten the food. Knocked monies off the bill which we didn’t expect. Hopefully with this setting by the river they will try and improve their food and menu. The photos on the website are not a true reflection.

Nice location, good service, limited menu .The menu is very limited. Pie of the day is very disappointing- individual pies with limited filling and very hard pastry. Pie of the day was chicken leek and ham, had trouble finding any chicken or ham at all in the pie. If it’s the pie of the day how come when it runs out they changed to Steak & Ale - I asked just that and no surprise I was told they were frozen and the Steak & Ale pie was left from the day before. At 7pm on a Sunday a number of items were off the limited menu making the choice even less to choose from! A little disappointed as we made a point of visiting every time we’re in the area and although I understand the limited menu as they are not at 100% capacity and need to cut costs but it needs a little more thought.A word of warning- a pint will set you back £5.30 which extortionate to say the least.They have also lost the personal touch, we had no less than 7 different people waiting on our table which is a shame as it’s all so impersonal. They previously had one waiter/ress for a set amount of tables and they always had time to talk and be more personable.Rethink your menu, service plan and inflated prices and people will flock back like they always did.

we rang to book a table to be told they are are not taking bookings and we could just turn up , we turned and was asked "have you made a booking as we are full " what was the point in ringing to book a table to be told you don"t need to just turn up , and then turning up to be told you need to book very frustrating

We made a last minute decision to moor up outside the pub & call in for lunch. We were seated easily despite not having a booking. Food was excellent & the staff were pleasant

We rang for a booking and were accommodated, even though it was short notice and they were fully booked. A really well run inn, lovely food and great service. Many thanks to Phil and the lovely Danni for making our visit a lovely and enjoyable one. We'll be back!!

We are on holiday near by and we booked last minute for a table of ten and they made space for us all perfectly. We had several children with us and ALL of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything is reasonably priced. The service was really quick and the food was amazing. The whole building and outside area is beautifully decorated. 100% recommended, if you’re thinking of eating here, do it!!!

Still a lovely setting, and food still ok, although prices seem to have gone up a bit. However, it's average food and there are definitely better options. I can see the attraction if on the river and need to stop off somewhere.

The Acle Bridge Inn has a very nice location by the river and offers seating inside and out. Booking is required. We had a lovely table by the window and enjoyed our time looking at the activity. Service was very courteous and the food was great. Two of us had the pie of the day (chicken and leak) - it was huge and extremely tasty. One lasagna and ham egg and chips - both very nice. No room for desert but we left full and contented.

Make sure you book in advance. Good location easily accessible from the main road & lovely outside seating!

We called in to Acle on our boating holiday and moored up then we crossed the bridge to the Acol Bridge Inn. We were very affronted when we read the sign on the front door which said if you don’t have a booking don’t enter we are at full capacity. This is 10 o’clock in the morning and we did not even have the option to have a coffee inside or outside and we found this very very unwelcoming. Next time we come to the Broads we shall make a point of missing out Acle.

The good was excellent for the price tag. Great portions. Nice mooring by the river. Would recommend!!

Couldn’t do enough to make us comfortable. Definitely a lovely place to relax. Beautiful outside area and things doe the children to do

We tried to get into the Bridge Inn the second day of our holiday but couldn't as it was booked out. We booked for later on in the week and I was impressed by how the restaurant took on the right number of bookings, enough to ensure people felt safe, comfortable and well looked after. When finished with our meal we were able to have a nice drink outside and kids played around. Just a perfect evening.

Booked a table for the indoor reopening on Mon 17th May to eat lunch with my parents. Everything was faultless and exceptional, from the phone booking (very friendly and helpful) to the door greeting, to the lovely waitress, and the food was amazing . Really great value. Continues to be a favourite of mine even though its 45 minutes away .

4 of us had an enjoyable evening and meal here while moored outside, lovely staff and nice cold cider

Went to The Bridge Inn yesterday for lunch with my children and in-laws. We had 3 beautifully presented prawn salads, fish & chips and a child’s meal. Service was quick , attentive and a lovely friendly atmosphere!! A MUST VISIT!

Called in after mooring up at Acle Bridge after a long day travelling. Party of 11 with 3 dogs, pub was busy and all tables were full that they were serving food to but after a discussion with Shelley she managed to squeeze us in outside which was perfect. Good food, good service, lovely location, great little play park for the kids and well priced. Lovely pub which we’d gladly go back to again.. thanks Shelley

This is a great restaurant set in the picturesque Norfolk broads. There is a good size menu and fair prices. Staff work hard and are knowledgeable and polite. I would return to this restaurant !!

The service very very slow, not really busy so covid carnt be used as excuse.when the food arrived 3meals fine but mine came up steak ale pie.crust like bloody rock shame as filling tasty .I did mention to waitress she just smiled.you need to up your game or the winter will be long and quiet.hope you survive.will we visit again not for a long while.

Five of us booked for a lunchtime meal and drinks. A nice pub/restaurant with with friendly and attentive staff, including Sherry ( I think that was her name). A good selection of beers and the food was excellent. A return visit is definitely on the cards.

Good food, great service and an excellent landlord / landlady who look after customers really well and have the guts to stand up to rude obnoxious louts - just don’t allow them in. If only all pubs were so good - no face mask - no entry ! Simple

On our boating Norfolk Broads holiday, we planned to visit pubs along the way for our evening meal. We pre-booked and had an early reservation. The booking in was so well organised, we were taken to our table which overlooked the garden and introduced to our waitress. We were given time to look at the menu and order. I had the garlic chicken (sorry wife) and wife had a roasted vegetable pesto pasta dish. Both were extremely tasty, hot and well presented. We ordered a bottle of the house white which was only £12.95 and very nice, exceptional value for money. The staff were well trained in customer service and if we lived closer, we would definitely visit again. Well done the Bridge owners and staff.

Stopped here whilst on a Broads Boating holiday on the day indoor hospitality started.Covid rules inforced.Track and trace, masks on entry and spaced out tables.Beer garden overlooking the river. By their own admission they were short staffed but the service was speedy and no long waits.Staff friendly.Prices £10 upwards for mains.Good range of meals on the menu.Booking recommended especially in high season as its it's an ideal boating stop off.Boats have a free mooring along side the pub for 5/7 boats depending on the size.£5 for all night .Acle Bridge has a large free mooring spot about 10 minutes walk from the pub.There a hire boat yard (Bridgecraft) for water, pump out and fuel. Plus limited free mooring. 20/30 mins walk into Acle for supplies.There is a very long stretch of mooring but at £10 as its owned by another restaurant. Large car park also attached to the pub.Excellent and would recommend

We visited twice in one weekend whilst staying nearby for a holiday. We have always found the pub to be great for our family especially since it is dog friendly in the bar area. Since we were still unable to use inside due to Covid restrictions we were seated at an outside table. We liked our table so much on the first visit we requested it again next time. There are picnic tables under a canopy with electric heaters but these are for bookings. There are others on the grass and 3 have gazebos. There was clear signage to ensure safe movement around the pub area . Once checked in with our details taken we were shown to our table. Drinks order was quickly taken and delivered by our friendly waiter. There was a reasonable choice on the reduced menu. I had a delicious homemade steak pie with crispy short crust pastry, new potatoes and carrots. My dining companions all enjoyed their meals too. The food was well cooked and portions generous. We enjoyed our meal so much and were impressed with the systems in place that we booked to return the next day.

We were kindly accommodated without a booking and given a time to come back in a short while. The lady on the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. The table was ready when we returned. The service from Jane was extremely good and very friendly. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, well presented and delicious. Lovely riverside setting.

We came across the pub on the way past- so pleased we stopped. Extremely friendly, family run business. All Covid measures in place and followed. Very good menu- and the food was amazing. Best carbonara I’ve ever had- and it was the first day they’ve done it! Beautiful new decor which creates a lovely environment. Efficient service. The best place to go for our first post lockdown meal! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We stopped here on our way through Acle and had a lovely lunch, the waiters/waitresses where very helpful and couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming, lovely venue and sitting on the broads to eat lunch was a real treat.

Lights and outdoor heating when under the wooden covered area. Smooth service and food was hot! Wonderful all round. The cannelloni was amazing.

We arrived here on a chilly evening at 7.15pm and were told that they were closing in 10 minutes. That was disappointing but we accepted the situation. We gave an order for 7 drinks to a very grumpy waitress and she read them back to confirm them. The drinks were delivered with 2 missing. When we questioned this with the waiter who delivered them, he checked the receipt and said that was all we had been charged for. He then fetched one further drink and I had to go inside to get the other one myself. A cheery “ really sorry but we’re closing soon” and a competent drinks order/delivery was all we wanted.

We booked a table here for 6 people on Sunday afternoon. We were given a table under cover with a heater we could use if needed. We were welcomed and seated promptly. There was a limited menu which is totally understandable at the moment but there was more than enough choice for us. We all enjoyed our meals. The lady who served us was extremely pleasant and helpful. In fact all staff we came across were very pleasant. We will definitely be back soon.

Wonderful tasty food - there is something wonderful about freshly cooked pub lunch with great options for kids, veggies and chicken lovers. The cheesy garlic bread might just be the best in Norfolk. We had a lovely time and they have also catered very well for covid. The riverside location just adds to the charm. Will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely meal yesterday at the Bridge, our first since lockdown finished. It was amazing. Great food, great staff (thankyou Danni) and great service. Can't wait for next visit.

Blue skies. Freshly cut grass and wonderful service within a lovely patio area! Adhering to covid measures with one way systems and plenty of gels. Food was fantastic with a temporary menu but suitable and tasty for us 5. Lovely service. Felt safe during our first pub visit of 2021.Thanks Irene.

My husband David and I had a wonderful afternoon at the Bridge Inn Acle ! Excellent menu (and such value for money) and very effective but very discreet anti-covid measures added to the experience. Would we go back? I've already block booked my diary. Phil and Vanessa run an excellent and beautiful venue!

Prawn Cocktail was tasteless. Prawns obviously suspended in water for days as no texture and zero taste. Marie Rose was near-tasteless. Main course was tasty.Beer was obviously off to anyone looking from 10 miles away, yet still delivered to table. Looked like glass of foul river water. Unbelievable, and shows how you can't just buy a pub & expect it to run like it's always been run - you need EXPERIENCE. Amusements closed again. One way covid system from toilets & smoking exit not enforced by staff or owner. Really gone downhill. However, the location of this place will ensure it always survives - but you lose locals on the quiet periods of the year by serving bad beer and tasteless food, even worse not offering sincere apologies or being gracious to not charge or at least discount replacement beers, especially after you've tainted the mouths of your customers with off beer. Take a course in cellar keeping and pipe cleaning.

Went to restaurant last night, meal was absolutely delicious, plenty of it. Reasonably priced. Staff very accommodating. Recommend.

We had a fantastic Christmas dinner this evening, the stuffing was to die for the best I've ever tasted, and the Baileys cheese cake melted in your mouth.. A great pub in a beautiful location with very friendly staff.. Can't wait for summer to return to be able to sit outside and watch the boats and world go by..

We visited after a long journey for a late lunch. The setting was lovely and it’s a shame much of the outside is closed off due to current circumstances. The menu was as expected and the food was good, basic comfort pub food. I would not visit for a special occasion however for an easy pub lunch it was good. Thank you

Have been here a few times in the past and visited twice this week for a late lunch during a short pre-lockdown stay a few miles away. Pre-booked a table and explained that we had a small dog and we weren’t entirely sure how well behaved she’d be (as she’s a rescue and we hadn’t been to a pub/restaurant with her before). This wasn’t an issue and we were accommodated with a table in the corner of the restaurant at the end of the bar which meant there wouldn’t be too many distractions or other dogs in view of ours. This seemed to work well and I’m pleased to say there weren’t any issues! I had the ‘Beastburger’ (on both occasions!) which was absolutely spot on with a fresh, home cooked taste and appearance, unlike some offerings you can get in various places which look and taste deep frozen and mass manufactured. The Hunters Chicken and Lasagne were similarly excellent and went down well. The staff were friendly and efficient and all in all, both visits ticked all of our boxes. I’d have no hesitation in highly recommending The Bridge to anyone and we’ll be sure to visit again when we’re next in the area. Top marks all round despite the obvious but necessary pandemic related restrictions in place.

Were staying a couple of nights at the Travelodge on route to a holiday in Wroxham and had 2 Lunches and one dinner here.Everything from the staff to the food was superb. On our first lunch we arrived an hour before our booking and they went the extra mile to accommodate us. On all 3 occasions we ate in the conservatory style round building and enjoyed the peaceful riverside view.All round lovely experience and would recommend booking as it is very popular with locals and visiting boat traffic alike.

This is our 3rd lunch this week and been here before on other holiday breaks, service and efficiency even with covid is brilliant. Great ales, great food and your really looked after. Well worth a visit if you're on the broads. Thanks bridge inn.

Stopped in for an impromptu lunch with my daughter. We received a warm welcome from the staff, who happily found us a table (we hadn't booked). I had the bacon and cheese burger, which came perfectly cooked and was very tasty. The Daughter had Hunter's Chicken, which she descrived as "OK". We also shared a plate of Crispy Breaded Mushrooms (from the "Lighter Bites" menu), which were very nice indeed. Total bill (including a coke and two pints of Aspall's cider) came to £40, which is reasonable enough.There is extensive outdoor seating, although sadly it was teeming with rain so we were indoors).If you're after a perfectly serviceable pub lunch in a lovely location by the river, then you could do worse than stop in at the Acle Bridge Inn!

Lovely setting, food was okay but I had a bone in my fish pie and the service was quite mixed - one member of staff lovely and attentive, another didn’t really seem like they wanted to be there.Mooring for our boat was also charged on top of our meal, despite all the advertising we’d seen on guide books etc. indicating the cost would be offset against our meal.

We arrived and immediately felt safe and relaxed, the staff were great and the food was superb, finished off with a great sticky toffee pudding dessert. Cant wait to return

We arrived at Acle Bridge yesterday to stay the night and have dinner in the pub, now we always stopped here when we moored next door with our private boat but this year we decided to stop by in the hire boat we've hired with family while ours is being repaired.We had a smashing meal inside the pub we ordered a Hunters Chicken and X2 Beast Burgers and the Beast Burger was just absolutely % delicious & the coleslaw oh that was yummy too We got so full that we said we wouldn't have desert but we were cheeky enough to say we did!, we all had the Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake and that was yummy too!The safety precautions they've got going inside the pub is spot on!, I hold my hats off to you all, you certainly made our experience safe and comfortable & to our waitress she was just absolutely lovely.Thank you for being mine and my husbands favourite pub on the Northern Broads ❤, I only wish you could have my favourite beer in .Look forward to seeing you all soon!

We stopped here for lunch on day 3 of our first holiday to the Broads. So far the nicest food and cosiest pub of our trip. We both had a pie and it was lovely home cooked pies. Would definitely come back and recommend.Lovely food and served by the nicest lady in Norfolk ! Didn’t get her name. She had long black hair and seemed very proud of the area and happy to help tourists.

Staying for a few nights in a cottage locally booked here for Sunday lunch for 5 adults plus a dog. Firstly we were very impressed with the Covid measures they had in place, the staff were very welcoming and the food out of this world. One word of warning come hungry the portion sizes are massive if we get the opportunity before we go home we will return. A true destination pub.

We use to love this place but tried to get in today but was met by a off member of staff who said we could go look for a table out side I under stand there busy but it was her attitude she looked us up and down like we'd walked something in on our shoes didnt bother looking for table lovely welcome not

Bridge in Acle is a fantastic family pub and full credit to the General Managers Phil and his wife Vanessa.You will receive fantastic quality, locally produced food, great choice of beers and wines and a very friendly service.

What a lovely place to have a meal, nothing is too much trouble, very friendly with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food was plentiful and very tasty, thank you for a lovely evening

This is our 6th visit to the Bridge Inn and as always the food was excellent - the fish and chips my friend had was exceptionally well cooked and he really enjoyed it, and from the special menu today, my Mother chose the Cottage Pie which again was lovely, hot and full of flavours, and myself I had the Hunters Chicken, a dish ive had before but this was a large piece of chicken breast topped with a rich mix of cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce again was awesome...So what was the problem?Well, let me just say it won't be something that will put us off going again, I was just the server allocated to our table obviously had a bit of a bad day, was it our request to replace a cup and milk jug due to them not being clean, I don't know... but later on when she collected the empty dishes from us she said she would come back to take our dessert order. She never did... she spent more time going to two other tables (im sure they have every right to make and order but I thought we were first in the queue?) and never came back to our table...Having sat there a while, we decided to pay and leave instead. Yes we could and should have mentioned something beforehand but if someone is having a bad day, why make it worse..? Since the pub lost three potential dessert orders, maybe the management can have a word with ALL the staff just to remind them to park outside life at the door and put on the customer service smile and hat. We might not always be right but if we want to order desserts we shouldn't be sidelined either...This is a minor blemish in service from the Bridge Inn today, hopefully not to be repeated, but as I said, also not one which will stop us from returning due to the exceptional quality of the food here, some of the best pub food we have had...

Popped in for Sunday tea as only live 10 mins away! Just want to say how well organized the Social distancing is! All the staff deserve a clap! Well done! Food was great and staff great! Nice to have this pub on our doorstep!

Four of us went for an evening meal and felt safe and well looked after by the friendly staff. Unusually, we all went for the same main course, a superb steak and kidney pie with the best mashed potato I've tasted for a long time and perfectly cooked vegetables.A very enjoyable visit to this riverside pub.

Popped in on my way home from a cold blustery walk at Winterton. Staff were kind, warm and welcoming. As a lone female, they gave me a table in a cove so I felt more comfortable (i didn't ask for this) food was flipping delightful. Lovely waitress Shelly stopped for a chat which when dining alone was appreciated.

Lovely staff, massive portions, good pub food, couldn't fit anything else in after the steak and kidney pie. Love my puddings but the pie beat me!

impressed when we arrived at Covid procedures designed to keep all safe clear and effective but not to intrusive, we ate outside the menu is understandably reduced but still more than adequate, we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner and the new regulations explained, food ordering was straightforward and efficient. Our food was delivered promptly and exceeded our Expectations. A great example of a business adapting to Covid but still offering great service

Truly covid secure, this is spot on and really sets your mind at ease in these difficult times. Can order drinks from website for tables outside, proper distancing inside with systems in place.Need to book for inside, so we had a seat outside.To be honest we didn't expect much with the limited menu but was very pleasantly surprised with what arrived. No doubt will be popping in on way back.

Decided to stop here for lunch en route home from Great Yarmouth and what a lovely little find. We had a really nice walk along the water and sat in the lovely garden before having lunch inside. Staff were really welcoming, drinks & food order taken quickly and with all staff being very friendly and helpful at all times. Good vegetarian options. Covid measures were great with hand sanitiser and one way system. All in all a lovely experience. We will definitely return.

We visited the Acle Bridge Inn for lunch today, Sunday, and was very pleased with the food, cost and service. The Covid arrangements were very good making it safe for staff and visitors. We received a warm welcome from Helen on the door who explained the arrangements during the current time and we chose the table outside in the sunshine. The three of us enjoyed the haddock, chicken and sausage with a fine choice of drinks. We will be returning.

What else can we say. My husband said the best burger he's had, says a lot. My fish and chips were delicious. Excellent service from Michelle! So glad we came, very friendly pub/restaurant and atmosphere......

Delicious Sunday lunch. Lamb shank and veg cooked to perfection, mash smooth and creamy. Would certainly return
