The Bridge End Inn in Powys

DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was absolutely awful. Meanwhile the owners of the pub were blind drunk singing awful songs. Trust me, unless you want an awful experience do not go here.

Wonder pub. The atmosphere was great and all the staff were so friendly. Lots of background chat added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. Will go again when we're in the area

What a wonderful pub. Excellent food (try the venison cottage pie), great wines and brilliant service. Friendly atmosphere, particularly warm in front of the wood-burning stoves. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Second visit to Talgarth in the last 18 months,first time I was 'rescued' by the staff when I was too late for food..chef made me a meal fit for a king,so I had to go back again,Staff,food,locals,Butty Bach all superb.I love the place.

First time here, lovely relaxed atmosphere, what we used to call a proper pub, food was cracking as you can see from the photos

Absolutely perfect. Old school roast dinners, truly delicious with veggie & vegan roasts available. Lovely friendly pub, felt completely at home, staff were wonderful. Highly recommended. Wish it was my local.

A pleasant experience. On the banks of a river. The weather was good enough for us to sit out. Friendly service and good pub grub.

Went for an amazing walks around the valley. Some stunning views and some interesting wildlife. Finish the walk at the pub for a well deserved Sunday lunch. Was able to sit outside over looking the bridge and the river. My lunch was delicious and the service was great. Overall I enjoyed my hole day out.

Food was fantastic. My wife had gammon, chips, mushrooms, peas, onion rings and an egg and it was a really good portion. I had the bridge burger with one of the biggest beef patty I think I've ever had. Brie bites for starter were amazing. Lovely friendly staff and a lovely seat next to a roaring fire. We'll worth a visit.

We moved back to Wales from Canada at the end of August and stumbled upon this pace in a town near our village. And we are so glad we did! The food is amazing, and the atmosphere equally inviting. Jane and her team are wonderful and have been really welcoming to us, and our dog. We come back regularly and will continue to do so. An amazing, small Welsh pub serving great food and ambience.

Popped in while on holiday in the area. Lovely warm welcome from all the staff. Food was amazing, home cooked and very reasonably priced. Wished we had found this pub earlier in the holiday! Would highly recommend.

Went for a quite drink with faimly sat at a table in the back bar so we cd watch the rugby. Got settled and chatting when the landlady jane came across and told us we would have to move as the table was for regulars!!!! So I said that's a warm welcome her reply was it is what it is!!!! My son ordered food wich he said was stunning and the young lady who served him so lovely may b she cd give Jane some tips on customer care. At closing time 11 we were told half hour to drink up in fact 15 mins later we were told to go. Would I come here again no sorry Jane you need to brush up on your people skills or may b just let your staff work the pub.

We spent three days in Talgarth as a couple with a dog and we called into the pub every day and we were given a lovely welcome.

Good welcome, good food, good service What more do you need

Staying in Talgarth we visited the Bridge End Inn twice during our stay. The food was excellent and really good portions and the landlady was really lovely a great place to visit a really friendly hostelry

20 or so of us visited on Saturday evening (having pre booked). Food and service were both great. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the area to have the deep fried Brie again, so good!!! Beer drinkers were very complimentary.

One night in Talgarth and we popped down to the local pub. What a surprise. Food was fantastic flavoursome and delicious. Table service as well. Waitress 10 out of 10 Bar staff 10 out of 10 Chef 10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend.

Charming country pub with very friendly, helpful staff. We popped in after a morning of hiking and enjoyed a hearty lunch. The food was typical pub grub, but good grub! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a couple of vegan dishes. The woman serving the food was really lovely.

Delicious pies and excellent service

This pub is definitely worth a visit, staff were very friendly and food tasted good and had a real fire which I found very cosy. Pub wasn't open when we got there, i called to see when it opens and they actually came down and opened early for us, that's customer service for you, thanks.

We had such a nice time, the menu is really good pub food, all prepared by the chef. I had fish pie and it was delicious. Really lovely bar staff, gold star service and all the local people in the pub were really friendly too. Will be a regular from now on!

Just back from a wonderful experience. Food was truly outstanding, tasty and homemade. Service was quick, professional and courteous plus the portion sizes were huge. Our dog was welcome, roaring fire and great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend The Bridge End Inn highly enough, anywhere near Talgarth, Wales then you have to visit. We will be back for sure, 100%.

Myself and two friends booked for an evening meal. The pub was nicely busy. Great selection of beers, wines, spirits and most importantly Gins! The menu was a nice size and varied selection of three courses. The food was cooked and presented nicely. Service was overall good and efficient. Happily return. Booking does seem advisable.
