Fabulous Italian restaurant. Great food and very friendly, polite staff. We had beef stroganoff and spinach and ricotta cannelloni, both were superb. Desserts were equally as good. Can recommend the tiramisu and the salted caramel and chocolate cheesecake. 👍😀 We walked from Tatenhill through the water park then along the canal. Then back via Battlestead to Tatenhill. A lovely little 5km stroll on a summer’s evening!

Dined here last night food was absolutely gorgeous, a couple of ales on and lagers, oh and cocktails staff were very attentive,really friendly layed back good feel to the place, situated next to the canal , we will definitely return, many thanks to all concerned

Just had one of the best meals out for a long time, definitely worth a visit home cooked well presented food would love to come back again with friends.

1st time out since November and my husband surprised me for a birthday treat to our favourite restaurant, all the staff were new to us but they treated us like royalty, sorry to have missed Dave, food was excellent as were the drinks, I hope its not too long before our next visit. Just had the most amazing meal at The Bridge Inn! The food was totally delicious...I had the salmon ravioli and it was the best pasta dish I have ever had! So much food to choose between on the menu and everything looked fantastic! We sat in the marquee which was very warm and not overcrowded. The staff were all lovely...so friendly and welcoming...all were a credit to the Bridge Inn.

Visited for Mother’s Day. Heard really good things about how it used to be-authentic Italian, the food today was not that. Deep fried mozzarella was just frozen mozzarella sticks with tomato sauce, pizza was dripping with grease and it was a veggie option with no meat! Desert, the cheesecake was either off or not set as was really runny, the chocolate ice cream was absolutely disgusting and tasted like crunchy dust! The tiramisu was ok but nothing to shout about. When telling the waitress about the ice cream she didn’t seem to bothered. There was one lovely waitress, I didn’t catch her name but she was great! Overall, won’t be returning again as was mediocre at best.

Just a short review. Visited twice this week, once for lunch and then the following evening. King prawns in a spicy sauce, delicious. Beef stroganoff in a stunningly rich sauce with rice, a fantastic lunchtime meal. Tonight with my family, pizza, steak, pork ribs whitebait all cooked beautifully. Served by smiling attentive staff. It's not your usual cheap pub grub so don't expect a cheap meal. What you can expect are good portions, fantastic flavours, quality produce and honestly, sauces to die for! We'll be back. 5 stars.

Suggested by friends definitely a popular place . Booked in advance and chose the marquee in the garden .was reassured it was warm so took the chance . Staff friendly and helpful .ventured into the main pub for a look but definitely glad we chose the outside ,personal choice thankfully . Varied menue all beautifully prepared and presented . Very quaint and cosy restaurant. The food was superb; succelent, piping hot, quick, good portions for reasonable prices, and most importantly, delicious. The assistant manager Beth was particularly excellent, super welcoming and smiley. Not our first visit, nor will it be our last!

We just had a wonderful meal from the Bridge Inn, Branston. It was absolutely delicious and the chef very kindly created my very own gluten free and dairy free chicken supreme. My husband enjoyed the beef stroganoff, which was also delicious.

Had an exceelent lunch today, sitting under a marquee by the canal. We had Linguine con Pollo and a 4 seasons pizza, both excellent, both with quality ingredients and superbly cooked. Fairly priced. Friendly waitresses and all Covid protections in place. We will definitely return.

I absolutely love the food here. I am gluten free and their options are amazing. Their garlic bread is the best I’ve had. And very accommodating for dietary requirements. Couldn’t recommend anymore. Amazing food and great service with really friendly staff. 10/10

Went today for anniversary meal, decided to ask waitress for chef to come up with their signature dish as long as it involved meat. I was not disappointed at all,. Our starters were shared between my wife and I which were well worth it. Our mains were exceptional great service by their team highly recommended

Covid restrictions were in place when we visited but we had a lovely family meal outside. The homemade burgers were incredible. The vegetarian burger was unavailable but the substitute vegan version was thoroughly enjoyed. The menu was extensive and well priced. The desserts were heavenly! Whole process from telephoning order to collection was seamless; payment via computer linkWhilst we have eaten at the Bridge in more sociable times this was our first takeaway; a good far-reaching menu which I don't believe was far different from pre-covid days.Even allowing for the 10 minute drive home the food (rack of ribs and lamb shank) was still piping hot and very well prepared so I feel a return order maybe happening

This is a small pub tucked away in Burton that does Italian food. The food was really delicious! We shared the meat platter to start and for mains my husband had the pizza and I had salmon and ricotta ravioli. My husband is gluten intolerant and it was great that he could have almost everything on the menu. There was no fuss (which he hates!) and the staff were really helpful in guiding him on what he could and could not eat. The staff were really friendly. As the restaurant is small I recommend booking. We had a really lovely evening and can’t wait to come back.

This place is rather small so book in advance to make sure you get seats. There is plenty of outside seating but not the time of year for that! Lovely ambient atmosphere, chill vibe even on a Friday night. But the main draw, gluten free pizza! And not the tiny ones you get where they buy the bases in, correct me if i am wrong but these were full size made to order bases, delicious food. The waiter was very knowledgeable to Coeliac options aswell. Go here! The two minor things which made me not mark this place a 5, it was so warm in the restaurant sitting near the kitchen it was uncomfortable, and while the pizza was cooked to perfection, some toppings looked like they were added after cooking, when would have tasted a better being cooked with it. Really nice little place though

Visited as 2 couples on a Saturday evening at the end of September. Felt very safe, with socially distanced tables. Friendly staff, excellent table service. All food - mains & desserts were lovely. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

The caprese used watery tomatoes and cow mozzarella, and too much salt. My mushroom risotto was good, al dente rice, good consistency, well flavoured but again a bit salty. My partner's Margherita pizza had too much tomato sauce with too much concentrate in it, and a good crisp base. My red wine was okay (Italian d'Nero) and my partner's Chardonnay (only one available by glass) was a bit sweet and heavy. The atmosphere was okay but not special.

A bit of delay in submitting this review, I completely forgot! Anyway, I have been wanting to try the Bridge Inn for a while. As someone with Italian heritage and grown up eating Italian food, I had heard great things and was excited to try it.I remember we had the valentines set menu and I loved it. Unfortunately I cannot remember exactly what I ate but I can remember that I ate all of my food. Haha. It was a lovely romantic atmosphere, staff were lovely and the food was delicious. I would love to come back and order from the regular menu.

We visited last night after reading some of the reviews. The prawn and chorizo skewer and the garlic bread starters were excellent. Word of warning, the garlic bread is the size of a 12 inch pizza which was unexpected but brilliant. If we had known this we would have ordered one starter as it left limited space for the main meal and no space for dessert. The Sicilian meaty rack of ribs were great and fell off the bone. The staff were very friendly. Great night. Hope to go again as we are here for a few days.

Probably our 5th or 6th visit and every single time the food is absolutely spot on, always the same, very consistent.Garlic bread with cheese is THE best I’ve ever had, ever.Mains are fantastic full of flavour, I have a favourite and every time I’ve been it’s always the same. That’s why we keep going.Prawn and chorizo skewers are a must also. The only thing I could think to fault is maybe the cobwebs on the wall. Must book as it’s very small.

I have attended The Bridge with friends to make the most of the dine out to help out promotion.I was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere, despite a heavy footfall due to the promotion being on it felt very relaxed.I arrived early for my booking I was happy to wait outside however the staff were very polite and accommodating, my evening has been enjoyable and not rushed in anyway.There is safety measures throughout and inside putting you at ease, you even get provided with sanitizer before using the card machine..the food has been amazing for a such a cheap price! Can't wait to come back again!!

Had another excellent takeaway meal from here. Lasagne and pizza, free bottle of wine, what’s not to like? The set up with takeaways is safe and well organised, payment is easy. The owner is always friendly. We will Definitely be ordering more takeaways soon . Cannot recommend this high enough

We haven't yet plucked up the courage to eat inside anywhere yet but my brother recommended the takeaway. Ordering over hhd phone was quick and easy and the mobile link to pay was simplicity itself. I popped in to collect- it was ready and waiting dead on time. A very slick professional operation. Well done. The meal - ham & pineapple pizza for my wife, garlic bread and monkfish chowder for me- was excellent. Highly recommended.

It was our 1st meal out since lockdown. The food was excellent but more importantly we felt safe. Track and trace recorded, hand sanitisers and safe distancing. Table service was prompt and polite. It felt so relaxing. It felt as near to the old 'normal' as I dared to hope for.Excellent.

We ordered a seafood risotto and rack of ribs. The portions were huge and certainly didn’t scrimp on the amount of seafood or meat.

We had an Italian feast from The Bridge Inn last weekend as a special treat for what should have been our wedding day which unfortunately had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Collection was very efficient and the food was beautiful - big fans of the pizza and garlic bread! The Bridge Inn knowing this was supposed to be our wedding day gave us a bottle of wine and a pudding to celebrate which was so generous and much appreciated! Thanks so much for making our day a little more special! We will be back soon!

Have eaten in the restaurant previously and really enjoyed it. First takeaway tonight since takeaway and would fully reccomend. Meat board was very pleasant starter. The Bridge inn pizza particularly nice and will definitely order again.

We went last night as a family of 6. We were welcomed into the pub & our drinks were put on a tab.The menu was extensive with many Italian dishes ,pizzas seemed a great hit, but our party chose for starters, garlic bread, mozzarella sticks and a huge meat platter.Mains, we chose, a burger & chips, ribs,cod,2 pasta dishes and I chose lobster ravioli, which was absolutely deliciousPuds, tiramisu, creme brulee with 2 doublenuts and 3 scoops of lovely sorbet.All in all a lovely evening, good company and wonderful food & atmosphere. Table was booked for 8pm Saturday evening, arrived about 7.50pm & was shown straight to it by a friendly waitress. Lovely room, and ambience. Great choice of food & drinks. All 4 of us very happy with our mains & desserts - especially the mixed grills which were the day’s special! Service & food excellent, first visit, but won’t be our last.

I haven't been here since last year. As last minute plans I thought I would come back. It has been as good as ever! On entering and approaching the bar staff were quick to awknowledge my presence with a pleasant smile. The food was quick to come and piping hot. I had the calzone..definately value for money it was full to the brim..I came here hungry and left very full! Nothing appeared to much to ask for. To finish I had the creme brulee..the hot doughnuts on the side are an added bonus! I won't be leaving it so long next time to revisit!

Before that mozarella sticks middle finger sized out of a packet at over a pound each with tiny tomato sauce. Wife right by log burner and still cold.Sign on door no drinks without food over the weekend! Sad to see a marvellous old pub ruined. I haven’t been back to this wonderful little restaurant for about seven years.It was good then, but now it really is special.It’s “Italian influenced” rather than Italian. It is magnificent quality and ingeniously and excellently prepared dishes.The antipasti is of top quality and, in particular, the fish choices are outstanding. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and served with succulent prawns, mussels and lovely gnocchi. I don’t do desserts, but here I was tempted and we shared the strawberry and mascarpone trifle. I’ll try to copy this delicious one for my friends and family.....It’s small and it gets full, so it’s probably best to book.

I have been to The Bridge Inn a few times over the years and can safely say it has the best pizza I have had outside of Italy, the rest of the menu is equally as good, the staff are always very polite.

We booked a mid week table of 4 work colleagues, the starters and mains were very tasty, the prices were reasonably expensive but very good quality. We had pizza, pasta, and lasagna, everything was well presented and we will book again.

Visited here a few times in a group of 9, or more, & we always receive fantastic service. staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. The Food is amazing, with plenty of variety and good value for money. The presentation of the food is superb and the specials are always excellent. This is definitely my favourite place and I can’t wait to return. 9 very happy customers today (as always), could not fault a single thing.
