We live locally and recently had a delicious meal at the brewery. It's very popular with visitors and locals (we'd advise booking) . As they are dog friendly in a certain section we were able to bring our basset who loved being spoilt and getting lots of attention. Service was fast and friendly and the food was, as always, beautiful. We recommend this venue to our friends and family knowing they'll be looked after and that the food is always delicious.

We booked here last minute on Halloween which is actually my wife's Birthday and we usually go out the following day to avoid Halloween parties for a quiet evening.

The Shed Bistro

03/11/2018: Dropped in for lunch, very nice setting just on the quay side at Porthgain. We didn't book but would imagine in the tourist season it would be very busy and reservations would be best to ensure a table.
03/08/2018: Stopped at The Shed in the hope of getting some fresh crab. However, the crab is only available if freshly caught. So we were unlucky. Went for fish and chips instead which was excellent, if a little pricey + you had to pay extra for chips. There is some seating outside and more inside but not a huge place so you find it full.

Blas at Fronlas

01/09/2018: I have been visiting here for several years and have always given a fantastic review because it has always deserved one. During this Hol however we received mixed service although food was still superb. 1 waitress in particular was if not rude just not really friendly. When we asked for cutlery as some missing from box she raised her hands and huffed!! She did fetch us some but it made us feel as if it was a bit 2 much trouble. Maybe she was having 'one of those days' but we are paying customers so don't expect this. However I can't complain about the food as it is always consistently of a high standard.
13/09/2018: Two breakfasts with toast and two coffees just under £20. Sat outside in the sunshine as we had dogs, everywhere lovely and clean so wasn’t worried about dogs under the table! Blankets thoughtfully provided if it gets chilly. Breakfast freshly cooked and enjoyable but served on cold plates - c’mon guys this is a basic requirement surely?
