Great food & friendly attentive staff. What more could you ask for! I made a few alterations to our meals and they didn’t make me feel like a pain in the bum at all 😂 100% would recommend

Our waitress ignored us for about 20 minutes, and even was seeing to a table of young men who came in way after us. Also, could hear all the staff members being quite rude about other staff members. Doesn’t seem like a very nice place to work. Once our waitress finally came to see to us, we was very rude, not like how we had heard her talking to the other table. Apparently her name is Claire, and I am only putting her name because I think she needs to be told all customers should be treated the same whether you fancy them or not

I've been eating here on and off for 45 years and it's amazing that the quality has never waned. It's cavernous cafe, so it can be noisy but if huge portions of perfectly cooked, perfect fresh fish and chips is your thing, you can't go wrong.

We had takeaway from here last night and it was amazing. We are 2 couples, my sis in law and I had medium cod, the guys had large. Family portion of chips was perfect fir all of us to share. For sides we gad a tub of mushy peas, halloumi fries and a pickled gherkin. Sister in law is pregnant and couldn't have a shake made from a machine and the staff were so lovely, they made hers by hand! Such a kind thing to do. All the food was excellent, great to have good portion sizes and not feel like you're wasting loads of chips! Thanks so much

We had a lovely meal here, but when we arrived a member of staff/manager didn’t acknowledge us for a good 5-10 minutes, despite the restaurant not being busy and she clearly seeing us. Instead she stood making conversation with multiple tables (initiating the conversation herself) within 5m of us, without ever making eye contact with us. She then repeated to multiple tables in a very loud voice, how a particular Covid variant was rife in the next town... not the best topic to greet guests with. Her whole manner as she then seated us was just very brash and frankly quite rude. It just started the whole evening on the wrong foot. Once we were seated, another member of staff took our order and the rest of the meal was wonderful!

Great service friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Cleaned and sanitised between each guests. The food was amazing and plenty. Loved every minute

A friendly welcome, a nice atmosphere and big portions! The fish and chips were top notch. Would definitely recommend.

We and our dog were made very welcome for breakfast, the tables and seats were all sanitised between customers and COVID-19 spacing was followed. Full breakfasts come with your choice of tea or coffee, we had large and delicious cappuccinos which arrived speedily and just before our food. Both the Boulevard breakfast and the veggie breakfast were tasty, well presented and huge! All the food was well cooked and not greasy and the service was unfailingly friendly and efficient. We both enjoyed our meals and our dog appreciated his biscuits too thank you.

Visited with my teenage daughters during a day out at the beach. Friendly service, good food, substantial portions at reasonable prices. Really glad we visited here and will be back. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fabulous lunch at the boulevard yesterday. I had the chicken, bacon ,avocado jacket potato and my husband had the Mexican chicken burger. Portions are big and reasonably priced. Food very tasty, service friendly and efficient. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Loads of choice so don't think it would have mattered what we ordered we would have been happy. The fish and chips that went past us looked awesome. Not convinced the staffs face masks are that effective would be the only negative feedback to give but still worth a visit. Enjoy

Visited here for dinner after a long day at portsmouth harbour. Instantly felt relaxed and comfortable. Was told to sign in for track and trace and each of us got our temperature checks done before we was escorted to our table. A very big menu with a lot of variety to chose from. There was even a special board for mains and desserts. I had a beef burger with camembert and onion chutney with chips and onions rings, my God it was delicious but it was very generous with the amount of chips it had. Definitely go with a empty stomach! Went back for dinner the next day and also for breakfast the day after. Can't recommend this charming restaurant enough, delicious food, great value for money, very friendly staff and overall a lovely experience.

Visited this resturant after a day out at the beach. The service was attentive nothing was too much trouble and the food was plentiful. If you want all round good family food then pay them a visit.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday 22 August (PM).It was a fairly pleasant afternoon, so after a walk along the sea, we decided to stop here for fish and chips.Given the current Covid-19 crisis, we didn’t want to eat inside the restaurant and the outside terrace was full.Therefore, we decided to order a takeaway. Although it took a long time, we didn’t mind, and we sat on a concrete bench directly outside the restaurant.Once we had paid for the food, we sat back down on the bench to open the fish and chips. At this point, an extremely rude waitress / manager came out and literally screamed at us. She said that we couldn’t eat food from another food outlet outside their restaurant. We explained that we had ordered it inside her restaurant – and confirmed our order number to her. She then repeated that we still couldn’t sit outside (she came out with some laughable reasons) – inc. that she’d need to sanitise the whole street / area. She literally then stood over us as we hurriedly tried to close the fish and chips paper and move away.I’m not disputing whether she was right or wrong about whether we were or weren’t permitted to eat outside in the street or not. But, what I do object to is the way that she spoke to us as paying customers. She could just as easily have explained in a polite manner that the concrete bench in the public street wasn’t to be used for eating takeaway food. But the way she spoke to us clearly highlighted an absolute lack of decent customer service – or indeed, manners.For this reason, I would suggest that readers of this review try the many other fine looking places that offer fish and chips nearby on the menu. And, there are many to chose from.There’s no reason at all to pay good money, just to be abused and screamed at like this.AVOID!

My wife & I visited this Restaurant three times over the Bank Holiday Weekend. The food was of a good standard and the Service too. If your visiting the East Witterings, it is definitely the place to eat!! Enjoy!!

Visited late afternoon after a long walk to West Wittering and back. We both had burgers. Nice restaurant. Staff very attentive and apologetic that burger included cheese when I had asked for it without. Food very good but absolutely huge meal. Could do with half the amount of chips and coleslaw as size of meal was a bit off-putting. Otherwise lovely restaurant and excellent staff.

Came to try breakfast as the menu looked excellent, and we hadn't been able get in for dinner previous nights as it was so busy.All the components of the English breakfast were good quality, and the black pudding was to die for. The American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup went down very well with the kids. Coffees also well made.It was a nice morning to sit outside - they have the option of covered tables outside too which would be perfect if it was a bit wet. This is a place it would be very easy to be a regular at.

Always stop here if the queue isn’t too long this time I had ham egg n chips delicious and freshly cooked after a long day riding some waves

We Drove 20 miles to try the Boulevard on recommendation. Have to say the trip was worthwhile. The quality of the food was excellent. The staff very friendly,I counted nine waitresses on the go and the service was good considering how busy it was. Two observations I would make however. We found the chair backs rather sticky which was slightly off putting. Also the floor surface was very slippery. One chap on leaving gave an excellent exhibition of a Michael Jackson shuffle dance and actually wiped his shoes on the way out.Overall we would definitely go again but would like to see a bit more attention to detail

Had a short wait to get in as so popular. All staff wore mouth visors, hand sanitiser as you came in & we had to leave our contact number for track & Trace. Friendly staff who were organised and knew exactly what they were doing. Delicious food & lots of choice. Try & pre-book a table or takeaway otherwise you’ll have a wait. Will definitely return when I’m in the area.

This is a sweet beach-style restaurant close to the sea with ample indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived just after opening at around 0930 and the restaurant was already very busy; clearly popular with the locals and tourists alike. Service was very pleasant and the portion size surprisingly large! The fry up breakfast was delicious, definitely opt for the crispy bacon as it was very yummy! We rolled out of the door having both had a belly-busting breakfast which set us up for the day. COVID regulations adhered to and temperature checked at the door, very impressed.

Very busy restaurant near the seafront. Book ahead if you can as it can get very busy. Excellent service, tasty food in generous portions, great value. Cant fault it really.

Went for a Birthday lunch whilst camping locally. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and very airy and fresh. The service nice and friendly. We were seen to quickly and the staff brought our orders expeditiously. The specials were varied and all available. The food arrived and the portion sizes are massive. We all couldn’t finish and found it excellent value for money. The food was fresh and hot. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

We visited on a Friday for lunch. I would describe it as a cafe-style restaurant. Covid routines were in place, and taken seriously. The restaurant was busy but we soon got a table. The menu was quite extensive, and there were a lot of specials listed on the wall.Service was prompt, and we didn't have to wait too long for drinks and food. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it. We all left feeling satisfied.

We visited this place yesterday. We ordered fish and chips and it was the best I have eaten in a while - cooked to perfection.The service was fast and excellent. The place had really taken into account social distancing and although very busy, we were nicely spaced out.Just one small feedback is that the water bottle and cutlery were dirty and and the sauce bottles very sticky. In this covid climate, more attention should be paid to this hygiene for piece of mind.

There is something to please everyone here - large choice and big portions. I had hot seafood salad which was nice and very filling. Got the deal on eat out to help out which was great. Lots of tables outside and very close to beach. Staff were friendly - one young lady in particular, she was a great waitress.

Good choice of food and decent portions. Family chips served 3 adults and 2 children easily. The fish was beautifully battered but lacking in flavour.We pre-ordered our fish and chips (would recommend pre-ordering for takeaway as it got very busy and they were no longer taking orders) but was disappointed with the service.There seemed to be quite a number of staff crowded behind the bar area despite there only being about three families in the restaurant, but no one wanted to acknowledge us. They looked at us but then carried on talking amongst themselves and no one actually spoke to us for about 5 minutes. All it needed was someone to say "i'll be with you in a couple of minutes".Would be happy to try again though because it was very pleasant eating the fish and chips on the beach.

Introduced some friends to The Boulevard, they didn't dissapoint. The food was plentyful and tasty, the service efficient and friendly as always. I love this place more each time I visit. We were a large group with children of mixed ages. Everyone had full bellies and smiles on their faces.

There has always been a queue outside this restaurant on all our visits to East Wittering. Last week we decided to try breakfast there. We were not disappointed. Excellent Covid arrangements in place. Extensive breakfast menu and options to pick and choose. Food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. Staff were efficient and friendly. Great place for families, couples and singletons.

So glad to see this restaurant open again and serving great family friendly food. This was not our first visit but the food and service always brings us back when we are in the witterings.

Had a lovely lunch end of July on a wet & windy weekend Staff were really nice - Covid - temperature taken sanitizer available- clean tables .The food is lovely and good potions - it’s right near the beach at East wittering - don’t get confused with west wittering !Happy to return to this nice restaurant/ cafe

Have had lots of meals here over the years and visited twice this week whilst away with family and it was amazing as always. Quick service, lovely food and friendly staff.

Having provide details our address on entering we choose to sit outside. The waitress immediately popped the outside heater on when asked and cleaned the table (which was already clean but I guess was for extra Covid protection).The food was excellent chicken and ham pie and steak and ale pie. All served with fresh veg (leeks, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, roasted root veg), potatoes and gravy. Absolutely homemade and delicious.The service throughout was exceptional, thank you Kate. It was so lovely to enjoy a meal out on this first weekend of restaurants being open. We felt very safe and were pleased to see both the restaurant and other diners following the guidelines.Well done to all at the Boulevard for taking the steps needed for you to re open but still offer excellent service and food.

We preordered our fish and chips, picked up with no wait or fuss by the friendly staff, the perfect social distancing takeaway.

Decided to go for a spot of lunch and heard so many good things about this place, so thought would give it a go. We weren't disappointed. We were met with a friendly smile and a lovely atmosphere, not rushed in anyway. There was a lovely extensive menu and specials board. The food was of high quality and plenty of it for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend going there if your in the area, and I will definitely be going back.

Really lovely home cooked food. Not fancy just a great variety of honest tasty food. Friendly staff were fantastic too.

Dropped in to The Boulevard for a late breakfast/early lunch. We received a very warm welcome by the waiting staff. Happy to learn that they stock dairy alternatives and we both chose oat milk lattes which were delicious. I chose the honey roast ham and eggs with granary toast which arrived very promptly. Everything looked wonderful and tasted just as good as it looked. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

We ended up have a breakfast fry up at 5pm! After a heavy night before and late rise. It was one of the best I have ever had. It was huge, 3 big sausages as well as everything else you can imagine. I will be back.

For a very busy Sunday lunchtime the service was very good. The wait for food was very good. The staff were friendly and very good. The food was good and ample portions. There was also quite a good gluten free menu. Would recommend a visit.

We’ve just been charged £5 for two take away supposedly thick milk shakes and were given two cups of milk in the Boulevard East Wittering on New Years Days 2020. We had to wait over ten minutes, the place was heaving and the staff were clearly struggling to cope. We have lived here 30 years and none of our family shall go here agin. Try Billy’s on the Beach, light years ahead of this place....

We went there on a Monday night, expecting it to be busy as it had been the past few days when we walked past. However, there was loads of room. The service was fast and friendly (Lucy L). The food was very good and we couldn't quite believe the portion size when we received it. We ordered a large scampi and chips, the spicy american burger, mixed grill, and lasagne and chips. Although I was the only person to order large, ALL 4 meals were very big and tasted great! There was plenty of food, a variety of choices and a good selection of drinks and desserts. It was family friendly and an enjoyable experience (Although we wanted to roll our because we were so full.) We couldn't fit in any desserts but we will most certainly be going back for them!!! If you are hungry, this is the place to go!! Top marks!

We normally come here for a casual meal out, we always enjoy it and never have any complaints. I mean I wouldn’t come here for a special occasion as to us it’s more ‘casual’ than ‘luxurious’ but it definitely serves good food and service is amazing. It’s definitely a go to place if you want good food that’s a decent value for money as well as service to match it. This place is also great if your hungry as the portions are big!

This is a very busy restaurant, but if you like a large meal you will definitely get one, so well worth the wait if you have to, all fresh and hot food lots of home made food., the staff are friendly to we have visited many times now and the food has always been good.

The Boulevard is just round the corner from where my elderly Mother lives. I like to make sure that she continues to eat properly so she and I went there for lunch last week while I was down visiting for a week. She's a regular so knew all about the "Seniors' Specials" which we both opted for. Mum had a delicious Roast Turkey dinner (an early Christmas meal!) while I had the Steak, Ale and Mushroom pie with chips instead of mash and a generous portion of peas. All finished off with a very nice coffee and for the grand total of £7.50 for the two of us since Mum's was free! She has a "loyalty card" with them and had enough "stamps" for a freebie! Great food, lovely atmosphere and staff, and well-patronised even on a cold Wednesday lunchtime in November. If I had to moan about anything it would be the periodic chill as doors opened as people come and go - a very minor flaw which stopped me giving a 5-star rating overall at this time of the year!

Straightforward menu, tasty food, great prices. Separate gluten free menu and kids menu. Tastefully decorated, not far from car park but note that parking on some yellow lines is OK outside summer periods.

We had been out on a very cold and wet day and went in to the village for lunch. It seemed every one else had the same idea.

Recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. Place was buzzing. Friendly waitress came over promptly. Didn't have to wait very long before our rather large piping hot meals were served. Small portion of fish and chips with peas wasn't that small ! and my partner said there was lots of meat in the pie

This is a fabulous restaurant that caters for children and dogs. There is outside seating for those with dogs and green wellies, and tables inside that will seat eight people. You can get an eartly breakfast or evening meal, with late opening most nights. The staff are friendly and attentive, meals arrive within 30 mins at peak times, high chairs available for infants, crayons and drawing paper available for children. There is a hub-bub during busy times, so no worries that your little ones are annoying diners having a quiet meal.

My brother, sister in law and I (plus a dog) went to the restaurant based on a recommendation. So glad we went and so glad we were hungry. My family members both had the Boulevard breakfast, which included sausage, bacon, beans, hash browns and toast. I had the vegetarian breakfast, which included Linda McCartney sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, hashbrowns, beans and toast. Coffee, which was the best coffee I have had in a long time and tea £22.

Friendly service, enormous choice of meals ranging from snacks to full meals, special gluten free menu. Large choice of dessert. Portions far too large 😂😂

Really nice cafe / restaurant in East Wittering, generous portions, friendly service, wide range of food on offer: fish and chips, burgers, salads, toasties, jacket potatoes, also serves alcohol. Seems unsure what it is, it’s a seaside cafe, with great breakfast and lunch options, however serving alcohol and opening into the evening sets it as a restaurant / bar. So it’s a little confused, but it was busy on a Monday night (shuts at 8), deep fried Brie wedges were very generous and halloumi sticks very good; jacket potato was good and Selsey crab and calamari salad very good. It was very warm in there, possibly for the older customers ! Also very bright, no subtle lighting! All in all very good for what it is, whatever that is!

Went to wittering for the weekend 4 oldies went on Friday night our server was Taylor a better more friendly waitress we have never met she had us laughing the whole time we were there the food was excellent the wine palatable.so much so we went back on Sunday Taylor couldn’t be our server but she went out of her way to be nice to nice us .once again the the food was good and our server was Devon another very nice lady. This restaurant is blessed with lovely staff

If ever you want to see how a successful business is run and enjoy a wide range of freshly prepared, lovely food then here is the place. They are efficient, friendly, employ plenty of good staff and the turnover of people therefore is immense. If you’re happy with a busy cafe environment you cannot go wrong. It’s excellent value for money too. Great place! Some of the other restaurants in The Wittering’s could learn from these guys!

My family went here for breakfast as we were camping locally. 4 adults and 3 children. The service was quick and the waitress was helpful and polite. We ordered 4 cooked breakfasts and 3 rounds of pancakes. The cooked breakfasts were superb, the portion size was just right and the ingredients were great quality. 2 sausages, black pudding, bacon,1 egg, beans in a pot (so you can mix if you want) 2 hash browns and toast. Plus a free tea coffee etc. This was some of the best black pudding I have ever had! The kids pancakes were amazing, topped with lashings of chocolate spread and banana or a mountain of bacon and maple syrup. I can't fault this place would highly recommend and go again for breakfast.

Went back to The Boulevard as we are on holiday nearby again.

While camping we walked to the beach and came across this place, went in at 2pm and were seating immediately. We had a lovely waitress, very friendly and answered all my questions. We both had sausage, cheese and caramelised onion wraps, they were amazing. We also had halloumi fries and garlic bread as sides. These both very nice!

We had a lovely meal here this afternoon. We were served impressively quickly especially given that they were busy. The prawn and smoked salmon salad was huge and fresh and very tasty, akin to ones I've had in France! My son really enjoyed his fish fingers and there was a huge range of dishes for him to choose from. It was also a great size for a hungry 7 year old. We will be back!

Been visiting the boulevard for around ten years and yet again didn’t disappoint! Had my fav the chicken and ham pie with roasties and veggies and also for the first time a pudding ( lemon meringue Sunday)!!! Also tried the chicken bacon and mozzarella burger which has now become my new fav! Always managed to find a table even with 5 people and 3 dogs .

Portions are very generous. A great place for fish and chips or toasted sandwiches. Top cafe food at a reasonable price, always a good choice for lunch of supper with a hungry family.

The food here is so good, breakfast lunch or dinner. Our last meal was dinner, the skate wing was perfectly cooked and very tasty, the staff are attentive and polite, one of if not the best place to eat in East Wittering.

We went yesterday for late lunch it was busy but we managed to get a table for 6 outside as we had the dog with us. The food is amazing haven't had a great home cooked meal out of the home in ages the food was so fresh and plentiful presented so well and so delicious 2 of us had the homemade chicken and ham pie with fab roasties and fresh veg one had the crispy chicken and bacon salad the brie starter was lush too.

Bouly is awesome. Best breakfast on the south coast - love it. Great menu that suits the whole family. Friendly staff and quick service. Can’t fault it.

We camp at Scotts Farm one a year and always come here. The staff are friendly and helpful. Can be very busy but service is good.

We called last min with a table of 18 for my birthday because the weather was too bad for picnic on the beach and they were amazing and made room for us in their outside area.

Only here a few weeks ago! Yet again a fab English breakfast including any coffee or drink! Well worth a visit, tasty. Staff very pleasant and quick service, even though very busy.

We stayed in The Witterings for 5 nights and ate here on 3 of the nights. Excellent menu choice, lovely home cooked food. Very large portions and they do a Pensioners menu with slightly smaller plates and excellent value for money. Children's menus also available. Outside eating area available. They get very busy early evening and don't take table bookings so one evening we did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Staff are very welcoming and polite. Our waitress was particularly patient with my elderly father who is hard of hearing. She had excellent communication skills politeness and understanding. The waitresses and kitchen staff/chefs work extremely hard and efficiently and food is served fast, very hot and well presented. Parking is tight on the road outside but there's a car park just around the corner, 2 minutes walk, free after 6pm. Very highly recommended.

Having been coming to the Witterings for over 25 years we have never eaten here. It always looks chaotic and busy with queues out the door. Today my daughter and I walked by at midday and decided to give it a try for lunch. We had the dog and sat outside. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was including the floor. The extensive menu for both food and drinks was inviting and we decided to share a large scampi and chips. The food was excellent and the homemade coleslaw delicious. I am surprised to read about unfriendly service in recent reviews. The young girl who was looking after the outside area today was superb. Friendly, polite and efficient. We watched her work the tables quickly and she's checked everybody was happy. Overall our experience was faultless. Just wished I had tried it 25 years ago! We will definitely be back soon.

We have eaten at The Boulevard every time we have holidayed in The Witterings. The meals are always of a good size and are exceptional value for money. The staff are friendly and the facilities clean. We love eating at The Boulevard.

Came camping as a group and in 3 days we visited 3 times. The food is SO affordable and SO delicious. As a group of 11 we found a table each time without fail. The menu is the perfect size and there is a dish for everyone. The full English breakfasts are incredible and the bacon and syrup pancakes are amazing value for money (served with a lot of bacon) the bacon sandwich is also perfect and costs something stupid like £3.50. Jacket potato is my favourite, burgers, pies, fish and chips also great. Can't fault the place, I have visited for 3 years in a row and for the prices you pay the portions, food, service and atmosphere is amazing.

It turns out the small portion of fish is actually the kids portion, and I mean around a four year old size.

Betty has fond memories of the Witterings as it was her favourite seaside location in her childhood. That was over 70 years ago and she did notice a difference but did enjoy the area so much and brought back many childhood memories.

The boulevard is our go to restaurant in witterings we love it. We always get a warm welcome breakfast lunch or dinner they are stand out the best in town. We eat regularly here simple home style cooked food brilliant quality. Great prices for amazing food excellent service and our five dogs come with us and it’s never an issue. We love the boulevard fantastic food brilliant staff thankyou

Always good food and service, but today they went the extra mile. We ordered the wrong dish for one of our children, they immediately changed the food without a quibble and did not charge us for the mistake. Thank you.

Good old Tripadvisor! Searched for somewhere for lunch near Sidlesham and the reviews looked good. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always a good start. Our meals were excellent, like home-cooked, fresh and tasty. Portions were huge, I have a good appetite but think I'll have the OAP portion in future! Another to add to our recommended places to go.

We came over for dinner on Friday, it was 8.25pm. The waitress seemed slightly annoyed, she told us to sit wherever we wanted and order straight away because they are closing in 5 minutes. Then she continued whatever she was doing. We found ourselves a table, another waitress took our order and everything went alright from there. Vegetable lasagne was very nice although I found cold penne pasta and croutons a strange choice of garnish. Cod & chips, large portion served with peas.

Love this gorgeous restaurant ! The food is beautifully presented , always tasty and plenty of it! The lovely staff , are just that, lovely. Always smiling, welcoming and efficient. We look forward to our next visit.

All you could want for kids. Lots choice for fussy kids. Good stop to fuel the family. It is very busy early on, around 6. But if you come in later on then there is more space.

How disappointed we were when we went along for our favourite fish and chips Frozen fish and frozen chips what is going on ! Have you gone crazy why change something that is so good !!!!

I went with the family at lunchtime & got a table outside. The kids meals were simple but large & cooked well

Just had the boulevard breakfast, the quality of the food is excellent! Great fry up! Family friendly outside eating, very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended

Staying for a week in East Wittering and fancied a cooked breakfast, we were not disappointed by the offering at the Boulevard.

As a family we visited here on a whim. We were out for a walk in beach in January and needed to warm up and have lunch afterwards.

we had a need for sugar and they certainly had the answer !!!
