Having visited several times in the past I was really disappointed with the food on this occasion.i ordered cajun chicken which looked like a sparrow that had been run over by a steamroller. This dish wash rubbery and inedible. Also the skin on chips were lukewarm at best.not at all what I've come to expect from this establishment

Poor vegan selection, just standard mains without cheese or sour cream. Why not try putting vegan alternatives in place? Tortillas the size of Tacos. Our plates and bowls were chipped, bringing hygiene in to question. It's an expensive place for what & where it is. Parking limited.

Food aweful but staff very friendly far to busy for them to keep up the orders. We had to return two main meals

Yet again, our expectations were exceeded. Great food, and well flavoured. It's great that things are almost completely back to normal, and that they're still busy.

If you're into Mexican food, Drink and culture, This restraunt is for you. This is probably as close to Mexico you can get without the 11 hour plane ride. I had the tacos pictured above, Which were tremendous. I've no idea how I managed to eat all 3 😅. There is a huge selection and variations of food which spoils you for choice. The cocktail menu is top knotch and a whole library of different tequilas, Aswell as other spirits. I honestly wish I took more photos, As the whole place was decked out in candy skulls and Mexican flags 🇲🇽, Which really help create a great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back 😁

Good food, good portion sizes, very helpful and friendly waitress. The only negative was that the chicken in my enchiladas was not great (meat quality was not great - squidgy blocks more reminiscent of reconstituted meat rather than chunks of actual chicken breast). Other than that, it das a good visit..

This is a Mexican restaurant which has a reasonable menu. The interior is OK not palatial. Prices are not cheap menu OK. One drawback not a lot of car parking it is also on a main road and bus route so not a great situation.

There was an urgency about service, felt pressued to eat up and go, food was decent but not outstanding, might have been an off night so may try again at some point.

Lovely experience tonight, Aidan was our main waiter (sorry if I’ve. Misspelled your name) very bubbly and chatty. Ordered a coronarita never heard of it and was lovely ! We shared a few starters a slight issue with the chicken but it was resolved fast and the waiter/waitress (sharon) were so nice about it. First time here, can’t wait to come back. Even though we only interacted with Aidan and sharon the whole team were positive and smiley xx

First time trying the Bonny bank Inn after driving past for a while. Very impressed with the whole experience, friendly staff and delicious food. Will be back again to try more of the menu again soon.

I had always heard good things about this restaurant, but I had never eaten here until last night. I have been to various restaurants over the last few months, which have left me grudging the price of food for the quality received. However, I would fully recommend anyone to come to the Bonnybank Inn! There were four of us with two of us drinking pints. Each of us had a starter, a main course, and a dessert, all of the food was fantasic in terms of taste and quantity! For the first time in a while, my wife and I have left a restaurant completely satisfied with the whole night and happy to go back any day! We even took home leftovers!

Fantastic service, great food, helpful staff, buzzing atmosphere, can’t recommend Kelly and her staff enough, thanks for going above and beyond to help after a booking mistake with a similar named company, especially when we had two dogs with us.

First visit and will definitely be back. It had a good buzz, staff continually checking if everything was ok. Wasn’t too spicy for a Mexican which was a plus 👍

It was a Saturday afternoon so quiet. The staff were lovely and friendly but busy so it took a while for service. Not a complaint they were really wonderful and the food was tasty and fresh. I will be back

Recently visited for a friend's birthday, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, the staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. Food was really good and the portions are massive. We will defo be back.

The food and service was excellent but there was a table of 10/12, around 30yr olds next to us and they were so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talk, the more they drank the louder they got. The staff were very good and got us another table away from them so it turned out fine but I don't think we would go back at the weekend.

Popular little Inn due to the excellent Mexican food, Do book a table Parking at rear can get full (a little awkward) Do enjoy a margarita ( there's non alcohol lager or cider for the driver) with your food After your meal, if you can't eat it all, you can take a dogbag home or order a takeaway for tomorrow's lunch at home if you scoffed the lot. Viva Mexico.

We were expecting great things after all we had heard. Unfortunately for us at least, it didn't live up to expectations. The staff were fantastic but the food was mediocre. We both found it bland. We had a margarita (our favourite cocktail) and couldn't even taste the alcohol. The place was packed and seems very popular but as far as authentic Mexican food goes we both have to give it a thumbs down.

Going slowly through the menu? Some dishes a bit too spicy but that's personal preference. Lovely staff, all very helpful when choosing dishes. Great atmosphere. Best of all only 2 minutes walk, lol.

We were just drinking beer. But it looked good to eat. The treatment was very good.

Didn't even get the main yet, the flutes were enough for 5 stars!

10% service charge automatically added to our bill as we were a "large party" so an extra charge of £20+ One paying adult so a fairly large hit. 8 paying adults then not so onerous but still unwelcome I would think Why? When did this become the norm. We'll not be back. If I want to tip I will.

I can never fault the Bonnybank! From the amazing food, to the attentive friendly staff and the cosy decor, it’s always a great night out which keeps me coming back!

Okay place to grab a bite to eat, waited over an hour for food after ordering. It was busy but I'd imagine most weekends are. Food was good after it arrived but we felt rushed to finish as there was another booking.

Had our first visit and was extremely pleasant. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Will be back.

Been a few times but my last time is exactly that. You get your table for 2 hours and it took over 30 minutes for someone to take our food order and then wanted to clear our table when some were still eating! The food is amazing but unfortunately the fact we were forgotten about and then rushed really ruined my experience

Excellent meal, in lovely surroundings served by really nice people. I would definitely recommend and plan on going back soon. One tip - listen to your lovely waiter when he says the small nachos is more than enough for two. Big portions all round but so good you really want to eat it all.

First time ever having Mexican food, and this place will not disappoint. The only thing I was disappointed in was myself for not going sooner. Food was amazing staff amazing and its just a chill little place. Get there nachos and loaded frys it will feed an army.

It's reputation is well warranted. Best Mexican we've had for a long time. Beware in ordering too much though, the portion sizes are very big!

Had a large party for a family members 18th and the staff were brilliant. All the food came out hot and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Good range of beers and spotlessly clean toilets. Bright and fun inside with comfortable surroundings

Brilliant place, food was 10/10 good variety, servers all friendly and the whole general feel was comfy with heaters at your table, we are big eaters and the portions were huge so you get your money worth and a full belly

Visited here at the start of December The starters and service up to receiving our starters were brilliant. However it went downhill from there. We had a 1 hour and 10 min wait between starters and main. The main come out lukewarm at best and the chicken tasted/texture of processed or previously frozen. Didn't enjoy, no reason provided as to why it took so long

Fabulous food and service. If you go here starve yourself all day as the portions are big really big, and they will provide you with a 'doggy bag ' if you can't finish your meal.

We had a great time last night. Food was good but the dessert is definitely what I’m going back for. The caramel filled churros, white chocolate ice cream and toffee sauce was heaven. Dare I say the best dessert I’ve ever had.

Worst Mexican food ever had in my life 😟😟😟! Starters was the only edible, rest waste of money. Never ever again.
