We went there for Valentines day and they had made it extra special with balloon hearts and they gave me a rose and the balloon when we left. Food as always was lovely and reasonably priced as well. Love it there will definitely return.

BEST CURRY HOUSE EVER!!! Hands down the best curry restaurant I have even eaten at. Lovely staff and the food is amazing. The mint sauce and mango chunky is amazing! Curry dishes are amazing and the potato dishes and just everything about this place is amazing. We come here all the time and will never order or go to another curry since coming here!

Had a very enjoyable lunch today. Food was fantastic, really can't recommend the Tandoori Butter Chicken enough. Staff were friendly. Will be going back/ordering a takeaway again soon.

Ordered a takeway for the family. Lovely food delivered hot and within the promised timescales. Always use as a restaurant, will continue to do so for home delivery. Highly recommended.

Had my partner's 80th birthday dinner here and it couldn't have been nicer. Staff welcoming and friendly. Our food was absolutely delicious and served quickly. Birthday cake brought out with a lovely complimentary and unexpected beverage - really nice touch. Will return - often!!!

Firstly congratulations on the win, BUT again trouble with delivery. Ordered at 6.20pm, was told 1 hr 10. Which is fine . Phoned again at 7.50, was told out for delivery , and had left 5 minutes away, only two orders to deliver…. 8.00 still nothing, rang again, told was on way, explained last time they did this, it had to be microwaved to re heat… assured was only two deliveries with the driver. They couldn’t get hold of him. By phone … hung up. phone rang, driver, 8.05, had stopped by park, could I go out and direct to property, (never had problem before) so in the pouring rang, I’m standing in the lane, in my slippers waiting for him to arrive… 8.10. Arrived. Opened the car door to see 4 deliveries in the car….. assume they would be on the Luke warm side too….. having paid good money, again delivery failed. £60 for food which needed reheating yet again ….. not acceptable at all. Very disappointed. You can do better.

Slow service and limited for people with allergies, only a chicken curry offered. Could do with a redecorating as wall paper ripped or been pulled off

Absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed it very much. The quality of food was excellent, chicken tikka sizzle was very nice and I love the minted chicken tikka which is something very different. The restaurant itself was nice, if the lighting ambient was on the darker side. Strongly recommend it.

Our first curry from this restaurant and it will not be the last, very friendly people, very good food and the sizes were excellent.

Got off to a bad start when they couldn’t find my booking for 9 people, luckily I had my confirmation email and they got a table together. Chair stuck on the end wasn’t ideal with a leg right in the middle so you couldn’t pull the chair in. Ordered drinks and poppadoms which took an age to come. Waited an hour and a half for food, chasing up several times, ordered drinks which had to be chased up and chased up, nobody apologised and even seemed put out we’d asked when our food would turn up. Food was ok but nothing to write home about and have had better elsewhere - I’m not sure why this place has won awards in all honesty. Maybe put a stop on takeaways on a busy Friday night and concentrate on the packed restaurant? Tables too close together, chaotic service and not a great experience. We won’t be going back.

Had a really excellent takeaway tonight. Beautiful food reasonably priced. Had to wait a bit longer on arrival to pick up but worth the wait.

I visited tonight for the first time, my son wanted to go there for a meal for his 21st birthday. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. Personal favourite and I can highly recommend, the lamb biriani. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is very clean. 5 star food and service. Thank you for a lovely meal

Sunday buffet lunch was probably one of the worst I have experienced. The meat was chewy, the flavours very bland, and the chicken tikka was dry.

Visited off the back of seeing that this local curry house had won recent awards. Service was nice, place was busy - I assume like us others had seen the award and thought let’s try the place out. Starters were standard, as expected for any Indian. However I never had a more bland curry and my partner felt the same. The chicken was very dry and looked like it had been reheated to death, lots of veins within the meat which isn’t nice to look at or eat.. this disguised as the restaurant has strange dark green lighting and plants meaning you cannot see your food properly. Zero flavour within the dish, I would of rather had the starters over again. This is the first curry I haven’t finished. I’m not sure how this restaurant has won any awards?! Far superior curry houses within the local area which are packed with flavour. To me it felt like we was eating in an aquarium/old pet shop, very odd! Black Rock walls, fake plants, dark green lighting, Whicker chairs. Hopefully they gain returning custom but it’s a no from me.

As friends we been coming to The Bombay as a meet up place for a delicious evening meal. The staff is always willing to help and have a good chat when they not busy. The food has always been amazing and we never had a issue here. Oh and yes we love to sit in the old part of the restaurant as it brings back so much memories.

Had a lovely meal once again at The Bombay. Great attentive staff and lovely food. Its become our favourite Indian restaurant since moving into the local area. We been to many but nothing beats The Bombay😁.

Terrible experience. We ordered a staple Indian dish - matar paneer. It arrived with grated cheese in a bowl of peas curry. When we enquired, we were told - "This is Orpington and not Southall. If you want paneer, you have to say Indian Cheese. This is for English people". Gobsmacked. Paneer is paneer is paneer. Grated cheese or cheese slice can never be a substitute for small white cubes of paneer!! Needless to say, no more trip to this "Indian Restaurant".

Food was beautiful. Service could have been better. Got there at 6.30 left at 9.30. Waited 30 mins for 2 coffees

So …. placed an order for 6 ! Starter and mains….it was long ! Compete order read back, arrived after an hour….for sons birthday… it was A M A ZING , the food was so tasty, arrived with gentleman wearing a suit, and a bottle...

A very good Indian restaurant with excellent service. The food as always was lovely. If you go on a Wednesday evening you pay a one off price of £16.95 for a starter, main course with rice or naan and a side dish and coffee.

Today I came for dinner with the family for the first time.The food and service were very good and at a good price. The lights were very down, and for customers with sight problems, it can be very challenging. However, the low sounding music makes the whole experience worth repeating. I completely recommend this restaurant and I am sure I will come again.

Ambience & service good. Starters ok but curries a huge disappointment. Karai chicken ( dry ), more capsicum & onions than meat. It was more like marinaded chicken added to sauce. Friend had lamb madras .. it was the same.

Best curry house in Orpington in terms of food. Minor gripe, the lighting could be a tad brighter in there so I can actuslly see the menu.

Ordered for the first time from this curry house, will not be using again, delivery was very fast, made me wonder how they could prepare all the order in under 20 minutes. Food was sub standard, portions very small, never have in all my years Ordered a sheek kebab, and received two small kebabs for the price. Chicken curry came in a large container filled with curry sauce and six pieces of diced chicken. The rice was nice, but they need to rethink thier portions. I've been to many curry houses all over London and ordered from many in my years, but this experience has been one of the worst ever. As new to the area, Will not be ordering again.

Everything you’d expect from a classic curry house, offering a wide ranging menu with all the usual suspects, the portions are generous and appetising. For taste and quality it’s got to be one of the best restaurants in the borough of Bromley. The one dish to dodge is the Biriani, it falls short of even the most basic of expectations and could do with a reboot.

Worst of all as we left the restaurant the manager was heard to say to customers waiting for take away food that my partner and I were drunk which was a complete fabrication. Obviously our last meal at the Bombay. The 1 star is generous but the rice was ok. P.S. Still got charged 10% service charge.

Great food and staff never had a bad meal in over 30 years

On a busy night we had a table for 2 and we were sat close to a group of about 20 people. We could not hear each other over the noise. Not ideal. Food was good but question the seating arrangements.

Service was good but the quality of the main meal was not as good as we expected,not the cheapest plus you are charged 10% service charge, with paying this charge no tip was left.

We waited over 2 hours for our food.The service was too slow

We've been going here for over 30 years and although the food was as good as ever the service was the worst we've ever had,it took nearly an hour for our mains, the young girls tried their best but the attitude of some of the male waiters was appalling to the extent that we would not rush back, which is a shame as we've enjoyed years of amazing food and service.

Deliberately tried to enforce service charge by stating by law it was compulsory to pay. Reported to citizen advice who forwarded it to trading standards. Good service friendly helpful waiter. My lamb ransack was a bit nav with hardly no meat but others seemed to enjoy there meals

I booked a table for Friday, 25 February for 4 people at 7.30 pm. We arrived at 7.40 pm, whereupon a waiter came to our table to take our drinks order. Whilst there, I informed him that I was a coeliac diner, i.e. (gluten free) and to make certain my dinner was. He told me to tell this to the waiter when ordering, but assured me the kitchen was gluten free. We then proceeded to order drinks and I asked if you sold gluten free beer, like Gluten Free Peroni, which a lot of restaurants and bars now offer. He proceeded to look at me as if I was from another planet! I therefore asked for a glass of white wine, after which he proceeded to laugh at me and suggested I could have a GF gin, a GF vodka, all of the time mocking myself and my disease. I didn’t want any other drink, but he continued to ridicule me and my guests. My guest wanted to know what the House Red was, i.e. a Merlot or a Shiraz. He didn’t know, and instead insulted my friend by not going to the bar to ask initially. He was treating us with utter disrespect. My other guest asked for a lime and soda, which he again mocked. Awful behaviour. Our drinks were brought to our table and we waited to place our order. This took over 45 minutes. Finally we received our food an hour and a half after we sat down. This is a disgrace, especially as for two of my friends this was their first AND LAST VISIT. The waiter continued to make derogatory remarks about me being gluten free. Finally at about 10.30 pm, when the restaurant was practically empty, a crowd of 8 men came in and your staff thought it a good idea to sit them right next to us! They were extremely loud and so after 15 minutes we got the bill (£135.50) and left. I really believe you need to teach your staff not only about dietary requirements but most importantly about manners and respect to the customer. He was appalling. After nearly 30 years of visiting your restaurant, myself and my many local friends will no longer be frequenting The Bombay Brasserie. I EMAILED THE RESTAURANT BUT NO ONE BOTHERED REPLYING.

Recently given this restaurant a try, I haven't been disappointed in anyway, quality of food, times given when ordering a takeaway, service etc, always seems to be busy, testaments the quality of the food, always ordering a varied meal and always impressed, give it ago and be surprised!

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night, table booked for 8pm, finally got food at 10.15, it seems that take away customers are more inportant that the customer using the restaurant, when I spoke to one of the waiters they said sorry of the daley...

Eaten here on 2 separate occasions. Both times the food was exceptional in my opinion. Service etc was also very good. Will be returning

Just returned to the Bombay after many years however I won't be going back, my food was not good, the chicken was just cooked in tomato sauce with raw onions on top, service was slow and the staff seemed to be under pressure. Such a shame

Rude waiter!! I went here with my 2 mates and was given a flat bottle of coke and when we asked for another one they just said it can’t be it’s out of a bottle. We was also pushed in a tight corner and constantly having to move for food coming passed. Food was average , nothing special. Wont be coming here again
