One of few cafés open this time of year, but it's popularity was reflected by how busy it was. Although dogs aren't allowed Inside, I was offered outdoor undercover seating with a cushion, so can't complain. Food was incredibly tasty and service was above and beyond and very professional. Locals and owners were very chatty to which is always nice. Picked up some really dry firewood at the same time from the log man too... Win win. Thanks

Called today for lite lunch . Asked for gluten free menu and was excited to see options. However when I order two different options from menu I was told neither was available. I found this rather frustrating. I was asked was I displeased I explained that both options was unavailable and was told how they had run out . I found the man to be quite sarcastic and intimidating and as a gesture he gave the tea and my family member mealâs free this was a nice gesture but it would have been better to have the choices on the menu available or at least tell you when you get menu if options are available rather than go through the order procedure twice !!! I wonât be returning so if your gluten free check before going would be my advice

Found this place by good fortune when I noticed a van advertising it on the roadside. It is a little off the main road (probably 2-3 miles) but you are rewarded for your effort to get there. The Boatyard has the most delicious food all created daily by co-owner Lorna. My favourite is warm chorizo salad with potato. Menu caters for all tastes from sandwiches and fresh beautiful soups to flatbreads with tender beef all sourced from local small businesses num, num!!! Lorna creates the most gorgeous scones and patisserie along with sumptuous cakes and pies. David, other co-owner has a zeal for their coffee which is superb. He is great craic and enjoys making sure people really enjoy their stayt. What I admire most about them is they strive for excellence in all they do with this business. We had a delightful lunch which far exceeded expectations. There is a large car park and a short walk to the Coffee Shop. There is an outside area under a canopy for those that want to eat Al Fresco. The specials board revealed a choice of wraps, salads, etc. These were all explained to us by the helpful staff. Service was prompt throughout. We both chose wraps at ÂŁ9.99 each which came with some Doritos-style crisps, a few leaves, a cup of soup and a lovely chutney. My wrap was roast beef with goats cheese. The combination of flavours was complemented by the soup. Worth a visit, if only to sample the different take on a lunchtime menu.

While staying in Portstewart we decided to Google places to eat, the boatyard came up. We decided to give it a go and we are happy we did. Hid away is the boatyard, a fantastic cafe with fresh food and friendly staff. I had a filled soda which came with bacon, sausages and poached egg, it wasn't greasy and tasted great. Others had pancake heaven, which was so good my son ordered 2 portions. Their fry was also fantastic. My youngest son ordered the teddy bears picnic, he was amazed that his sandwich was cut in the shape of a teddy bear, he also received grapes and a yogurt. While sitting we seen what other customers had ordered and it all looked so nice, the coffee was fantastic. After we had finished we spoke with the gentleman who runs the cafe, you could tell by his passion with the business why it was so good. applecoffeechocolatepiesandwichchickenbaconcakelemonmeringuesaladbeautifulraspberrysoupcookedHad a fab meal at this restaurant. Was fairly quiet so was bit concerned as other places all booked out but had no cause for concern once we got our food. Quite a meaty menu but found something for everyone. We had a table of ten and the service was brilliant. Staff all really friendly and obliging. Couldnât do enough for us. Food was brilliant, I had steak, so tasty and cooked to perfection, hubby had the stack and loved it, best main meal out for a long time and thatâs saying something when we live in south belfast. Great value and service, tasty cocktails will def book here again. Only thing, maybe expand the dessert menu pls.

Disgruntled today would be the word - travelled into Coleraine from outside ballycastle as we had the burritos a week ago and my fussy teenage daughter loved them , checked the website it states closing at 830pm , this was 630pm
