The Blue Hut in Teignbridge

This was our first time eating at The Blue Hut after reading very good reviews , we decided to give it a try, so glad we did. My husband had the beef burger, I had the chilli chicken wrap, and we shared chips, we both enjoyed the food, the flavours were excellent , so tasty and freshly cooked , with lovely views of Teignmouth harbour. The staff are very friendly , and the chef rightly so deserved a Street Food Award. Thank you for an enjoyable experience. We will be back again next year.

Delicious fish &chips served with salad and fresh homemade lemonade, on Teignmouth beach. Good place for relaxing and hanging out with friends.

Got to be a five! Read the reviews and found we were parked just above the hut on the car park. Had a great steak and side of fries with skins on. Beautiful weather and a fabulous meal with friendly efficient service. Over looking the harbour. Would return and recommend. They are open till the 30/09/23.

Friendly service and really great food. Good options on the menu. Would highly recommend. Hidden away between the car park and back beach but worth going out of your way if you are spending time on the seafront

Popped to this wonderful spot one morning and had the bacon rolls which were absolutely delicious with the house’s special sauce. Got talking to a few local’s who said next time we should try the breakfast burrito which would be a first for us. A few days later we put them to the test, the local’s know their stuff, fantastic. On our last day we had a lunch of Cajun chicken wrap’s, which the staff were very careful to give us the correct levels of spiciness as we had differing tastes, all agreed, absolutely outstanding. All staff were lovely, very knowledgeable about their menu and we felt the food was great value as obviously everything on the menu is freshly prepared. My only complaint is that they are hundreds of miles from my regular stomping ground. Hoping to return in the not too distant future. Wishing you continued success. The views not bad either.

I was looking for places to eat in Teignmouth and noticed all the great reviews for The Blue Hut. When he saw where we were eating, my boyfriend was a little dubious about the unprepossessing location but he quickly changed his mind when we tasted the food. We both had a Cajun Chicken Wrap and mango lassi. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff relaxed and friendly. At £8.50 the wrap is great value and we didn't need a big meal later that evening. This was our first visit to Teignmouth and The Blue Hut; we both fell in love with both and will doubtless return to try the rest of the goodies on their menu. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Really wonderful fresh reasonable food, we had the wraps and wonderful combination of flavours and fresh ingredients.

A fantastic spot to stop off at and watch the world go by. A peaceful atmosphere and tranquil vibes. Those that work there seem very friendly and enjoy serving all their guests. Truly seem like they enjoy being here. Only stopped by for an ice coffee while waiting for a meeting. But will continue to visit when I’m down each week. Didn’t have the pleasure to try their food, however it all smelled incredible will definitely have to catch a bite next time.

First time at The Blue Hit but definitely not the last. My husband had the fish and chips served with slaw and homemade tartare sauce, I had venison steak ciabatta with fries and garlic mayo. Gorgeous food cooked fresh friendly service

The food is nothing short of absolutely delicious! So good we’ve been 3 times this month. There’s sometimes a bit of a wait but they call you on your mobile when ready so no big thing and totally worth it!

First go and place your order for some amazing freshly cooked street food at The Blue Hut. Just visited the wonderful Blue Hut and had a venison burger and OH BOY I’ve never tasted something so amazing in my life!The burger was perfectly cooked and I had the option of adding red onion marmalade which was 100% the best choice I could of made. I genuinely can’t describe how good it was, you must visit for yourself and try out the amazing food!

Small blue takeaway hut called Teign Canteen found behind the beach, very clean and all I need to say is they sell the best Cajun Chicken Wrap I've ever had - so good we came back for more. Perfectly wrapped for a takeaway on the beach. I need to visit more frequently though, so I can try something else as it all looked so good.

We had 2 venison Banh Mih (unsure about spelling) which were great - tender tasty pieces of venison with good stuff in a tasty bun - I could eat it everyday! My baughter and partnes enjoyed the fish and chips. Everything was aboslutely freshly cooked. You then take and eat it on the adjacent beach.

Visited the blue hut twice in our time at Devon, it was so delicious!The Blue Hut is a small food hut on the Back Beach in Shaldon, it serves AMAZING seafood options at fantastic prices! The staff we met were lovely and very helpful.The battered Hake is the most amazing battered fish I've ever had! It's served with a generous serving of chips, salad and a DELICIOUS tartare sauce!If you're in the area, it is THE place to be for Seafood and if you want Fish and Chips on the beach, it's truly a lovely place for grub...I just wish we could've brought them back to the North East with us!

An amazing venison burger for me and a cajun wrap for my husband. Even the chips were exceptional. A great little gem. Only thing that let it down was that we wanted food last night and they were shut even though it says they were open.

Being in the 'sandwich' business I know how hard it is to make a perfect sandwich - that great first bite, the perfect mix of taste, texture and even temperature produce an increadibly satisfying combination. Well this tiny tiny space has it nailed down - the perfect sandwich (or in this case a wrap). Really brilliant made and so impressively effortless in perfect execution down to a rubber band to hold the greaseproof paper in place for a takeaway... I am in awe. Seek it out...You will not be disappointed.

OMG!!!.. visited blue hut for a quick lunch and I couldn’t make up my mind what to have as fancied everything on menu!!Was recommended the Indian spiced potato cake and so went with that and I cannot explain how good that was!!! The Blue Hut is always a go to when wanting something special and never fails to deliver ... went back again for the Cajun chicken wrap today and was in heaven yet again!!! Don’t pass this place by as it’s the best street food ever!!

Visited the blue hut for a snack for lunch, Wow what fantastic food. Chicken wrap was amazing and the service out of this world. Such friendly people. If you want something tasty, fresh and just a little bit more than the usual go see Dan at the hut.

We were signposted to this place by Devon Sea Safari and we were not disappointed. They were able to cater for a gluten free diet and were very knowledgeable about cross-contamination. The cajun chicken salad (one of the gluten free options) was so tasty and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Looks a fabulous menu of freshly made snacks/lunches. Long queue, timers given to customers to make them aware when food ready.Only had cappuccino and lattes with some homemade cake brownie and a rhubarb and cinnamon which were very tasty.Look forward to trying for lunch text time.

Every time I visit the blue hut I'm satisfied, never disappointed amazing fresh, locally sourced food perfectly prepared by very welcoming staff the food is second to none!! Visited with adults and children. Really good, friendly service. The food is off the scale. So so full of flavour. The view from the beach front location is out of this world. Will definitely be coming here again and again.

Highly recommend the Blue Hut...it may be a tiny little tucked away hut but it's big on favour and worth seeking out. The cajun wrap is the best thing I've ever eaten in Teignmouth, it really is a taste sensation, and I'm looking forward to sampling more of the newer items appearing on the menu. Located next to the back beach, it may essentially be take away food (or street food as it's known as these days) but give me this over a sit down meal any day. Saying that, there is covered seating available or take about 10 steps for a picnic directly on the beach. Winner winner (cajun) chicken dinner!

This is by far the best place to eat in Teignmouth. The owner Dan is inspirational with his delicate and incredibly delicious dishes. Each layer of ingredients making every bite better than the last. Must go!!

Couldn't get any better than this lovely place... eating the tastiest cajun chicken wrap (its a gooooood sized wrap...and I ate all of it...yum!) whilst taking in the beautiful views of Teignmouth back beach. All the food looked amazing, and I will most definitely be going back more. The Blue Hut is an absolute gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Went here with my friend before rowing on wednesday and treated ourselves to a spict back beach burger which is made with locally sourced venison. It was incredible! I have never eaten something so quick. The flavour was amazing and i also had the halloumi fries with chilli jam and that was also again just truly amazing. Will be going back again definately. Felt thoroughly spoilt

So this place is actually pretty amazing, the quality of food is so good and the coffee is easily the best in Teignmouth.

I've been to the blue hut a few times over the last 18 months so I thought it was time I left a review. Absolutely brilliant! Great varied menu, brilliantly cooked and fantastic location. Dan and the team are the tops.

Out for a Sunday morning walk along the back beach at Teignmouth we fancied a cup of tea. Feeling peckish we chose to eat as well Great venison burger for me and a falafel for my wife. Sat in the sun looking up the river eating cracking food. Can’t beat it.

The Blue Hut: serves some excellent see food snacks, great Halumi chips and fantastic spicy Chicken wraps. Well worth a visit no seating inside just outside on some small tabled. Serves coffee, teas and cold drinks as well.
