Visited for Sunday lunch as a party of 8 with small children. Excellent location, felt warm and welcoming. Food was absolutely first class, starters were superb and amazing Sunday roast. Would definitely recommend

We had a cracker of a Christmas Day lunch. The service was great, thank you! The food was superb, salmon, turkey with all the trimmings, then Christmas pudding topped with poached cranberries to give it a unique twist. Highly recommend! We would have preferred to sit in the restaurant rather than the bar area - fingers crossed for next year…

As always fantastic food in beautiful surroundings the Bell is our local restaurant but if it wasn’t we would still travel to it it’s a small menu but they do it so well I would recommend anything without hesitation.

Absolutely superb, Christmas Day lunch was delicious and the service impeccable. Everything you’d expect for Christmas Day and would recommend to all. Yes it might be consider expensive, but for us it is excellent value for money.

14 Ladies met for a Xmas Lunch get together. We ALL enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was amazing, fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. We couldn’t fault the meal and the staff were all lovely. Well done to you all.

A group of 13 were really well catered for in the garden room of this lovely pub. The atmosphere here I've always found warm and friendly and the staff very helpful. We had the Christmas Fayre menu and I can honestly say it was the best restaurant Christmas meal I've ever had . The meat was tasty and succulent, and attention was given to the vegetables which were again very tasty, and not just served up out of a saucepan of boiling water. Full marks to the Blue Bell for a wonderful meal and very happy people.

Only the second time I have been here - Both times more than one of the male staff were surly and unsmiling, bordering on rude. Almost resented us being there I think. On the other hand the female staff were very friendly. Sunday lunch - The food was pretty good with one exception. The roast potatoes were clearly homemade, but reheated ( possibly had been frozen). You can always tell when this has been done as the skins get leathery and more difficult to cut

Had a lovely traditional Sunday lunch . The roast beef was so tender and full of flavour, likewise the roast chicken was just as good all served with excellent fresh vegetables and cauliflower cheese. The desserts of cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were so so good. All the staff were friendly , happy and obliging when we requested the air conditioning to be turned down in the garden room.

This is one of our favourite restaurants to eat at. The staff are always very friendly and professional and the food is simply wonderful. We had the Lamb special and the Hake dish and both were cooked to perfection. There is a lovely garden area where you can also eat or enjoy a drink. Thoroughly recommend.

Very limited menu. Don’t have the smoked salmon, prawn and crayfish. There was no smoked salmon in it. That made it the dearest prawn and crayfish cocktail in Peterborough. When I raised the matter I was told it was mixed in with the prawns and crayfish. It wasn’t!

Came here with a friend for lunch. Fish mini fillet sandwich was greasy and soggy, the bread it was served in was huge which I didn’t eat, ended up taking the stuff out of the sandwich. Nice enough pub / restaurant, fair choice on the menu, reasonable portion sizes. We had chicken in put lentils, Thai beef furry and a burger with fries. Perhaps a little on the pricey side for the portion sizes. Service was timely.

We started with Parmesan soufflé with back truffle, it was truly amazing the depth of flavour and the texture were first rate. Our main was venison perfectly cooked and a well judged and balanced dish. Deserts were very good. The wine list was well chosen. The service friendly and efficient.

My husband,myself and our dog visited the Blue Bell for a late lunch today. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, my husband had guinea fowl, and I had a traditional roast beef. The beef was cooked to perfection with plenty of veg and gravy. The Blue Bell never disappoints, always tasty delicious food and excellent service. We visited on a Sunday lunch and the roast beef was so tender, accompanied by an extensive range of fresh vegetables. My husband chose the fish and again very tasty indeed. We always feel confident bringing our friends or family here.

we stayed in Glinton for a week and had three meals including our wedding anniversary during our stay.Each time we had something different to eat and loved every meal.The girls who work their are really friendly and accommodating.We cannot recommend the place enough.

We went to the Bluebell last night for my wife’s birthday with some friends. The food, drink and service was superb. Special mention for our waitress, she was attentive and looked after us all night. The best food in the area bar none.

Booked here for a high end Valentines meal and was generally pleased with it, some areas could be improved, the cooking of the steak was slightly over with both of our steaks but the quality of steak was excellent. Salt did seem to be the chefs favorite ingredient however and both spent the rest of the night gussling water. The starter and desert were both equally delicious and really well cooked, again the starter was slightly too salty. We both enjoyed the meal with lovely bottle of red wine but for the money I just wish the steak had been cooked perfectly as it has been on previous occasions and the reduce the amount of salt used in all the ingredients. Service was great throughout.

We had a lovely meal for Valentines. The Scallop starter was delicious! I asked for the vegetarian to be slightly varied due to food intolerance and this was easily accommodated. Likewise I don’t like chocolate so I was able to choose an alternative (cheese). All in all we felt that we had made a good choice and have booked for Christmas 2020 - although we wont leave it that long before we return!

I booked the Bluebell for a Valentine's romantic meal or so I thought I assumed after reading a few reviews it would be a good quality meal indeed the quality of the majority of it was fine though the scallops we both had for the starters in our opinion were undercooked and the portion size was dismal we both were still hungry at the end of the meal .Considering the meal with a drink each came to over £100 I hardly consider this as good value for money ,I wish now I had read more reviews as I have since seen portion size is mentioned frequently I'm afraid I shall not be returning

Had a lovely family meal here. The food was great and the atmosphere was really friendly. All 8 of us enjoyed our food and the setting.

By far the best we have had. Earlier in the year my wife and I stopped for a bit of Sunday lunch with one of the kids and his partner, all meals exquisitely cooked and presented. We were at the tine looking for somewhere to have our first Christmas Lunch without children at home.Glad we found here, booked straight away and on the day the staff were brilliant and the food second to none. Already going to book next year.

On Friday 29th Nov 2019, 11 of us were booked in for the Christmas menu. Straight from when we arrived, we were looked after, drinks before at the bar then shown to our table. We had pre ordered food and wine. The service was excellent, Kelly, Will, Matt and the team were superb from start to finish. As the starters came the staff knew who was having what. The food was excellent with everyone commenting on the quality. One of our party had special requirements and they were fully catered for.The staff were attentive throughout the evening and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights out we have had. If you haven’t been or have not been for sometime, we would all recommend a visit.Thank you Kelly, Will, Matt and the team, until the next time.

This restaurant is ok, not as warm and welcoming as it was last time I visited. Staff not overly friendly or helpful but efficient. The food is overpriced and not great or worth the money. The mushroom gnocchi was very poor, it arrived in a huge bowl but there was hardly any food in said bowl, it barely covered the bottom of the dish. There was less food for nearly £15 than I've had as a starter in other restaurants. The fish and chips were ok but still expensive at £13 for the quality, the fish and batter were beautiful and the mushy peas very tasty but the chips were very hard. Everything was ok but I certainly won't be rushing to return. I don't know if we perhaps visited on an off day but we left disappointed.

We found this pub about a couple of years ago when we were staying in nearby Northborough. It is ideal for us to meet up with friends who live in Bedfordshire as we live near Nottingham. i would recommend this pub whole heartedly as it is cosy, the food is excellent and the staff obliging. Service is good and we did not have to wait long for our food to be served.

I’m in utter disbelief I have been a loyal customer to the blue bell since 2k12 I have enjoyed good rustic meals from this establishment however I will simply be never returning again due to an awful staff encounter. A rude waitress that claimed to be the owner shouted at me and my party for simply enjoying the beer garden. She was very loud and intimidated me and then embarrassed me and my party by storming us through the restaurant in-front of other customers and shouted as we left with further insulted my intelligence.

My best friend and I meet here for lunch and afternoon drinks, every six weeks on a Saturday.

Tasty, well presented meal. Welcoming fire at one end of the bar. Cold other end. Lovely to look out from the conservatory style room on to the garden and trees whilst we ate.

We are fortunate enough that The Blue Bell is just a short walk from our house and as such our local. However before moving into the village we already loved it and now it’s even better. Just the two of you or larger parties whatever it’s great the food is awesome and the staff very friendly. In the summer we pop in after school for soft drinks and a bag of crisps and the kids love the big garden. I have also been to several work celebrations on my recommendation and never let down. Steak night on a Wednesday is fantastic and highly recommended

We all had a wonderful day celebrating a birthday, with 4 generations of the family. The food was extremely good and the service excellent nothing was to much trouble. We all had different dishes from the new autumn menu and everyone said how good the food was. Definitely return again soon.

We stayed a week in Glinton at a charming Barn Cottage so popped into the Blue Bell on several occasions for a couple of pints and sometimes for food - a welcoming traditional pub, nicely decorated and serving great food. It was lovely sat in the no smoking garden at the rear of the pub - we hope to return one day; highly recommend !

This was a special celebration at a pub that has long been a favourite. On the whole it was a quiet evening, although there was a large and noisy party in the Garden Room. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and would particularly recommend the Beef Cheek, which was full of flavour. The wines were reasonably priced and offered a good range. We will definitely be back.

We visited the Blue Bell today for afternoon tea. We were served this in the conservatory room, which was a lovely setting. The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive, checking in with us to see if we needed more tea etc. Unfortunately the cakes beat us, so we took home the leftovers for later! Sandwiches were soft and fresh, scones were served warm. A great selection of cakes. Definitely value for money and most importantly tasted great. 100% recommend.

Staying locally and after one visit went back twice more for dinner. A busy and friendly village pub with excellent food, we ate there three evenings and had an excellent meal every time. The staff are keen you enjoy your evening.

This is a pub with attached restaurant with a great range of a la carte dishes. The pub itself has a number of eating areas, all bookable on-line (why can't all restaurants and pubs do this. The choices on the menu are very good and the service is excellent. It is slightly expensive (ploughman's platter £12.50, baked potato with trimmings also £12.50 but worth it for a good lunch.
