Excellent breakfast, we had the hash and a breakfast all the ingredients were great, we couldn't believe how reasonably priced everything was. Tea, coffee and juice with delicious food, the staff were friendly and were great with our dog. Really impressed, great experience. We appreciated the food as much as the view

Visited this establishment on a visit to New Quay. Initially we visited just to have a coffee. We liked the place that much that we decided to have lunch there. We are really glad we did, because the food was excellent and our wait time was very short. If you find yourself in the area I would definitely recommend you give this bistro and try. Should we come back, we certainly will.

Whenever we are in New Quay we also make a point of visiting the Blue Bell. You can have a relaxing lunch, breakfast or evening meal it’s always amazing. Really enjoyed just having drinks downstairs during our last visit in Oct with our Labrador. Lovely atmosphere and staff were so helpful. See you soon

What a lovely restaurant! We visited twice while staying in New Quay, both for lunch and dinner. Neither disappointed. Gorgeous setting with fabulous views. Staff were really lovey too. Food was so good, and the cosmopolitans were bang on. Would 100% recommend visiting.

We used to LOVE this place, coming many times throughout the year. This was our first time returning in 2023 however it didn’t live up to our expectations… I asked to swap a simple item on my meal (which was the same price) and I couldn’t be catered for. When the food came it was not what I ordered, ordered a steak medium and it came under rare… in a place like this you don’t mind paying a little extra as every time we have been here it has been spot on, couldn’t fault the place! However this visit let us down, on a more positive note one of the servers we had was incredible, he went above and beyond to try and rectify the issues we had however some things was out of his control, so a big thank you to Will, we really appreciate it. We hope to return to the blue bell however somethings need looking at.

On holiday in new quay...had a lovly meal here last night for wedding anniversary...never been before ...it was best meal we have had in a long time ...being coliac its hard for chefs but this was no problem for this chef ...i had 3 courses and stuffed to the brim ...big pat on the back to all the staff and manager it was lovly x thank u x

What a fabulous evening we had for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Will and the team went above and beyond to make our evening so special. From the moment we walked in to when we left the attention to detail to was great. The food served was out if this world we had 3 courses and the fish was delicious. Thank you to everyone we will be back very soon.

We came in 2021, 2022 and 2023, the three times we have stayed in New Quay. The first time we came, it was really amazing, the second time it was ok but the menu wasn’t very varied and we couldn’t really find anything we fancied, the third time it was as amazing as the first. I had three courses and there was no fault in any of them. The menu was very good, offering good prices for the type of restaurant it was and the food they served. I really enjoyed it.

This place has such potential but is badly let down by the staff at the counter taking the orders. We ordered two burgers without the sauces and relish on the side- both arrived slathered in the stuff. My wife’s salad arrived 10 minutes after the rest of of ordered- along with the starters.

A great spot with lovely sea views and a pleasant atmosphere but let down by the quality of the food. I visited the Blue Bell yesterday with my family and we had starters and mains. The menu looked great with lots of variety but other than one main, we were all dissapointed with our meals. The scallops with prawns and blackpudding starter (£14) was drenched in melted butter which left everything greasy, likewise the crab and prawn pot was good but the orange butter and chutney didn't pair well and overpowered the shellfish. The spicy calamari was OK but nothing special. When the mains arrived, once again everything was just a little too oily. The spicy seafood tagliatelle was not at all spicy, there was no chilli or other spices evident and once again the dish was swimming in melted butter making the meal greasy. The burger was dripping in grease and the lamb was served with a very rich buttery bean casserole which didn't complement the lovely lamb. My daughter did enjoy her duck with noodles but said it had too much coriander. Overall, a disappointing meal and we will not return here. The waiting staff were friendly and service was fine but the food was sadly not up to standard for the price. A little work on the menu could turn this from mediocre to great.

Booked a table upstairs for an early evening meal (recommended by a member of staff if you were hoping for a table with one of the better views). This was accommodated and the views did not let our experience down. However, we found that staff did not meet our expectations from poor attention to detail and my dish was very gritty and swimming in butter. The staff did offer to change the dish however this would have meant that my partner and sons meal would have gone cold and I would have dined alone. It was edible so I eat most of it. Ordered a wine which was discoloured and not what I ordered which was replaced and a questionable reason as for the discolouration! No reduction off the bill and questions as to slight menu adjustments such as removal or replacement of smokey cheese on the burger was not answered and neither was a request for a plaster (slight cut to my toddlers knee). Little things that make a difference in out view!
