Lovely little deli in Walberswick, had lunch there today and I can’t praise it highly enough. The food is all homemade and is really top quality, the sausage rolls and quiches are delicious, as are the salads to go with them, and there’s a nice little area with tables and chairs to the side - I’ll definitely be going back!

The best find in Walberswick for a drop off. After finding this by accident a few months ago, we make it our “must visit” stop every time we visit for the day. On this occasion we opted for their fantastic sausage rolls and salad, with a fantastic flat white. Our spotty dog didn’t get forgotten either when the excellent guy who always works there presented him with a home made biscuit. The staff are always friendly and full of smiles, the place is always bustling and we absolutely love visiting time and time again. Highly recommend

Always call in for coffee and a snack when out walking with the dog and never disappoints. Today enjoyed a vegetarian tart and ricotta cheese roll which were delicious. Small cafe but perfect and very welcoming.

We stopped here for a quick snack and drink whilst out for a bike ride. Upon seeing the Moroccan spiced sweet potato and chickpea rolls we decided to give them a try. They were delicious! Lots of other lovely looking treats too, both sweet and savoury. Service with a smile, tasty food and warm drinks-10/10 from us!

We visited for some dinner, we had the bacon bagel, which was great! So was the coffee. The staff are friendly and everything is clean.

Lovely people, great coffee and the most amazing savoury tarts/ quiches - see photo! Absolute quality!! We also had a couple of their frozen meals and they were lovely (lamb tagline).

Nice selection of sweet and savoury fresh produce plus a cheese counter. Lots of condiments and cupboard fayre too (good for gifting). We had a super tasty quiche, cheese scone, cake slice and brownie.

Discovered this little deli while cycling to Walberswick. Delicious cappuccino and scones. We liked it so much we came back a few days later and sampled the veggie sausage rolls, again really good. It's tiny but there is quite a lot of outside seating which is perfect if you are stopping mid ride.

We were fortunate to be staying almost next door to this little deli. They may be small but they are perfectly formed. And so friendly. We tried the baguettes, the quiches and the coffee. All fab.

Wonderful ambience - small but perfectly formed! Quiches (especially the chorizo noes) and sausage rolls are yummy. Sourdough bread is awesome). Coffee must be good as there is a pretty steady coffee crew using the place from opening time.

They cook everything themselves and the sausage rolls and quiches are excellent, as are the cakes. A wonderful place.

A tiny shop absolutely packed to the gunnels with a fabulous array of tantalising, fine quality food. We bought fresh local strawberries, sourdough and a takeaway tapas box that included fennel salami, artichokes, Israeli couscous with pesto, dill-infused coleslaw and carrot salad with peanuts and black sesame seeds. We could easily have spent much more on cheese, oils, coffee and chocolate if there was space in our rucksacks. Staff were friendly, engaging and advised us perfectly.

Really excellent coffee and croissants. Salads good too. We had very good bacon rolls for breakfast. Lovely fresh bread.

Sells the most wonderful selection of freshly made quiches and savoury tarts. Had one with a salad box today and it was delicious. A real find. Lemon and Poppy Seed polenta cake highly recommended.

It''s worth walking from the centre of Walberswick to this deli. The food is fabulous, the service is a little confused but the baguettes we had in the little garden down the side were superb.

The staff could not be friendlier nor more helpful. The food and coffee is excellent and well worth the money. Do try the caramelised sausage rolls and small quiches, along with the delicious eclairs and cakes.

The Deli was only a couple of hundred yards from our holiday cottage and we went several times, for coffees, snacks, and frozen meals, all of which were very nice. along with friendly service.

We had been told to go and have a look at this place and we bought 2 ready meals. They were absolutely superb and we bought 2 more later in the week. Highly recommended.

Yes they are Right. The sausage rolls are to die for and salads superb. Only doing take away, shame as other restaurants had closed down nearby.

We tried the sausage rolls and chocolate brownies washed down with lattes, everything was very well prepared.

Firstly I’ll start with the negative, the attitude of the chap there today was absolutely shocking, he let the place down, very rude when asked a question, and then was moaning about how many people were coming today for food, ‘am I the only place service food around here today’! Not something to be moaning about really.The food on the other hand was so lovely, very flavour-sum, good quality, just superb.

Having finished a long walk we wanted to grab a quick lunch and both our baguettes were made in front of us and proved delicious. Strongly recommend.

A lovely deli/cafe in the delightful Walberswick. The lady that served us was so pleasant and helpful - she even gave us half a lemon to go with the smoked salmon we bought ! We sat outside for a coffee. A lovely flat white - Italian coffee I think. You must go !

The sausage rolls came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. We opted for the caramelised onion one and it was absolutely fantastic. The pastry was just the right thickness. Very generous portions too. Had to try the scotch eggs and these were equally delicious.

Well where do you start .... Black Dog Deli is amazing we have been here in Walberswick for under a week and it is now part of our daily routine to pop in for coffee and a too die for pastry or croissant... melt in the mouth moment . All food is absolutely fab a little gem in a gorgeous village , I’ll be sorry to be going home in a few days . Absolutely gorgeous .

Had to queue for this popular deli on a sunny saturday in march. very good selection of goodies. salmon / cream cheese baguettes were freshly made and sustained us on journey home. Thank you!

A lovely deli in the heart of Walberswick. Lovely home made cakes and quiches and other delicious things. A real find in this lovely area. 100% recommended and sure to attract a following. We loved our short visit here and sure to return when we are again in the area.

A real delight to find somewhere so good in such a small village. The breads, cakes and croissants were particularly scrumptious but offered a decent range of cheeses as well.

My son and I finally got around to visiting today. Both foodies, we spent ages selecting (mainly because we kept getting distracted by all the other goodies) two filled baguettes - not mass produced pappy ones, but soft, crunchy, savour every mouthful artisan ones, as good as any I've had. Add to that 2 take-away cakes (yum), a proper sausage roll for him and 2 cappuccinos. We ate outside in the sunny courtyard. Go and support them (husband and wife team). You'll be glad you did. :)

We called in for a quick lunch en route to Southwold. The quality of food is exceptionally good. Great, fresh, local produce expertly prepared. Every single item purchased was so tasty - quiche, sausage roll, salad, tapas box, sandwich as well as several of the amazing cakes. I recommend this deli without any reservation. To cap our delicious lunch, the staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We came across the Deli whilst doing a walk through Walberswick, we went in to be nosey and came out with a picnic! We chose 3 different salads, home made scotch egg and Suffolk cheese all were very fresh and tasty. We washed the food down with lovely coffee & green tea. There was plenty to choose from both food and drinks wise. Very friendly owner and assistant and well worth a visit for a picnic or to take home some tasty food.

We popped in here after walking to Walberswick from Dunwich and bought a few savoury and sweet treats, and the food is just incredible. Had a quick chat with the owner too, very friendly. Might be worth a detour to come back tomorrow..

Just the perfect deli! The owners are lovely and care so much about what they're selling. Many highlights: homemade soup, hot chocolate, cheese baguettes, homemade pumpkin tortellini. We were even more impressed by the gluten free and vegan soup that was on offer for my sister! Can't wait to go back!

We arrived at Walberswick and I realised I hadn't brought a sandwich so went to the deli (we have been many times before! ) for a sandwich had smoked ham mustard and coldslaw excellent and great value for money, freshly made.

Needing some cake for an impromptu afternoon tea the lemon drizzle and fruit flapjack did the job perfectly. Not cheap but generous portions and very buttery.

Great little lady, well stocked, local deli with friendly, helpful and talented owners. Of particular note was the local wild garlic pesto and the artichoke quiche. If you're in the area, do stop off.

Stopped off here on a walk through this gorgeous village.. The food was all delicious, the homemade quiche was the best I've ever tasted.. Andy the chef was so friendly and chatty which added to the charm of the place! Will definitely be back again.

This is a delightful deli/cafe in the quirky village of Walberswick. The couple who run it are delightful and friendly. We had coffee here twice on our recent visit and it was really great coffee. The bread was excellent (artisan) - we had run out on our holiday and I am pretty fussy about bread being a home baker. We had also visited an artisan baker in nearby Southwold and were not so impressed with theirs. They sell a great selection of home made foods like quiche, delicious pies etc and their prices are competitive. So all in all I would highly recommend.

Great for breakfast, lunch and snack foods to keep you fuelled on the beach or round about all day. We especially love the croissants and pastries :)

Called at the deli on the way back from the beach today and bought frozen Green Thai Curry for tea. What a treat this was - absolutely delicious so fresh tasting and packed with chicken - would love the recipe! Looking forward to trying the lasagne we bought too.On our holiday we have sat outside with ciabatta sandwiches - mango chicken and salted beef both delicious and a great cup of tea too! Dropped in this morning after my early morning swim, had a fantastic toasted ciabatta bacon sandwich with delicious tomato sauce and a hot & powerful flat white coffee. Absolutely delicious! Sell lots of other foods to tempt your palate.

We were walking from Southwold into Walberswick and this deli was the first place we came across. They sell good coffee and a wide range of deli options that you can snack on at the tables provided by the side of this small shop.Don't walk past - call in and try the home cooked fare.

Great deli which always had a really nice selection of home made flans, pork pies, scotch eggs, salads and humus, as well as cold meats, cheese and cakes. The flans are the best I've ever had... even better than ones I make myself. They've recently set up a small sitting area outside where you can enjoy a coffee or tea and cake. I'm always pleased when the friend I visit in the village suggests we call at the deli so I can buy some things to take home. If you're anywhere near Walberswick head for the Black Dog Deli, you won't be disappointed.

Love it here. Delicious cakes, quiches, tarts, cheese, sandwiches, coffee... Everything you want from a deli. Service is friendly and laid back and it is in the perfect location to buy picnic items to take to the beach (just a very short walk away).

...on an indifferent day, sun or rain couldn't decide, knowing the pubs wd be packed we took lunch home and it was lovely. I've also been entertained with their home catering which is excellent.

My favourite coffee (and more) stopping place on my local Suffolk cycles.If you're walking,cycling,crabbing,glamping,holidaying,passing by...I encourage you to stop here for refreshments. Don't ignore the cakes etc.immediately ahead of you - they're delicious - before stocking up on a ciabatta roll for lunch and quiches,salads, cheeses for a meal later. You won't go wrong, it'll be the highlight of your day.

Stumbled across this deli on our bike ride. Bought an excellent picnic lunch - salad bowl, warm beer and treacle bacon ciabatta and lemon drizzle cake. Couldn't fault the food or service. A pity we don't live locally to savour this excellent food.

Was visiting the local beach and found this tasty little deli! The staff were super friendly, whilst waiting for our lunch to be prepared we noticed cool foods and products for sale.I was grateful the gent making the lunches let me choose something which wasn't on the food board... don't ask you don't get right!? :)The food was absolutely delicious, followed by a mouth watering rocky road. It's lovely to find these small independent places. Just wish we lived closer! Thanks

What a wonderful deli that caters for your every whim. Whether it's delicious bacon butties and smooth coffee sitting on the bench out front in the sunshine or asking for a 3 course meal to take home this deli can do. We started with a bacon sandwich, moved on to asking for a selection of cheeses to take home for desert and then ended up with dressed crab for starter with a fish pie for main. The owner prepares a selection of home cooked meals frozen for you to take home. We tried the fish pie which was full of fish and delicious. If you want delicious home cooked and local produce then this is the place to go.

We have had coffee and goodies from the Deli which were all great, but this review relates to a one to one Italian Cookery Masterclass given by the owner of the Deli, Andy.We made fresh pasta and a variety of delicious fillings to produce ravioli,tortellini, etc. Also produced chicken saltimboca and sides. Andy brought to our home all the know how and ingredients and it proved an informative and very enjoyable day. This masterclass was a gift and would thoroughly recommend it as a special present.

Stopped off for delicious bacon rolls and coffee whilst on a visit to Walberswick, sat outside in the sun ... just perfect! Bought other items from the deli to take home - quiche, scotch egg, Victoria sandwich and they were all very nice too.

Great coffee and bacon sandwiches and look forward to trying all the new cooking that's now going on. Nice to have benches outside.
