Good beer, good atmosphere, nice snack food

Didn't have food! But it was amazing great atmosphere

Sunday lunch beef too tough to cut. Not pink as stated in the menu description. Small portions. Very disappointed...was hoping for much better!

I was there for the cocktail and they were amazing, managed to try many different ones and the variety of what they offer is amazing. Even though the place was very busy the service was exceptionally fast. Also staff were exceptionally nice. Really nice experience

I love the food here and have eaten around 10 time's now and never had a bad meal. The staff are always amazing even when under pressure when busy. Unfortunately the toilets let this place down they are just to small. The gent's is a single toilet and you can't even close the door without brushing your leg on the pan.

Favourite bar, amazing drinks with a good amount of alcohol, great happy hour deal and quick/friendly bar service even though it gets busy. You're guaranteed a great night at the Berliner. We've had snacks a couple of times and they were amazing (halloumi fries and savoury cheese pretzel)

Love everything about this place - the drinks are always top quality (two for £10 cocktails are a win) as is the food. Great atmosphere and especially enjoy the Wednesday quiz (you usually have to book in advance to get a table). The staff are friendly and clearly love what they do...nothing is ever too much effort and they create a positive buzz. They're dog friendly too, which is a massive bonus.

Just been to the berliner for their sunday roasts with Lilac Eatery. Blown away by the food! Didn't realise they were doing roasts but what an awesome idea. Been coming to this bar for years but they keep going from strength to strength... Great service and made me a custom drink Big up beeston!

Amazing team, always welcoming, great music and general vibe. LOVE the updated decor, plenty of space and not cramped at all. The drinks are so tasty and properly made - yet totally affordable meaning you can enjoy a whole night there, not to mention the incredible Berlin-style food. My favourite local spot, always something for everyone in the group!

Great pub for a social gathering. When for reunion/ anniversary celebration. Good large space, good choice of beers. Nice friendly service's. Had a grate time. Will be visiting again. Be warned, WC not great, a bit tight.

We came here for a cocktail masterclass with work a couple of months ago. We were straight away made to feel welcome and at home at the bar - they opened up especially for us! Katie and Curtis were both amazing and made sure we actually learnt something, whilst having a lot of fun. Non stop laughter, cocktails and amazing food. What more could you wish for? Best fun day we have had with work and everyone was raving about it for weeks after. Highly recommend!

Just had drinks, was quite busy with a private function and quite a few other people in but the staff served us quickly and we sat outside.

This place would be 5 stars if only I didn't come out of the bar smelling like a chip shop every time. Seriously, clothes straight in the wash afterwards and I'm not sure why as I always sit in the side room. Otherwise, unique vibes and good cocktails.

Fun atmosphere provided by lovely staff and the live music that night, delicious cocktails with plenty on the menu to choose from. We had the Berlin style potatoes with vegan frankfurter and it was delicious - highly recommend! Will be having many a night out at this place, I'm sure..

I booked a surprise birthday party here and the service was absolutely AMAZING!! The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious! 10/10. Thank you so much Berliner staff for helping and for your great service throughout the entire evening. I highly recommend the Berliner if you’re in search for a cool local spot which is super easy to get to via tram from the city centre. It's become one of our favourite spots in the city. :)

Visited this packed and obviously popular pub last night. A crowded but lively atmosphere and the live music was awesome. I arrived when a soloist, Ben, was accompanying himself singing with guitar. Great voice. They were followed by Kelham Green, a five piece funk band, they certainly got people tapping feet and moving. Out the back a trailer was selling great street food. Altogether a magical evening, thank you Berliner.

Should be a great little German bar buts it's just a standard bar with a couple of German largers.

First time I've been would absolutely go again, fantastic range of drinks and brilliant atmosphere.

Bar has gone down a lot since it started out 5 years ago. Chav central unfortunately. Bar started out as a cool alternative place, sad to see how it is now. Staff are generally ok but girl with purple hair was rude and gave off a bad vibe - didn’t feel welcome and left feeling a bit ripped off. To the owner - go back to how it was at the start with decent staff and a good vibe

Wow. I didn't expect this excellent range of germania beers. Good service, cool vibes. Beer garden ( sort of, but good to escape the noise and crowd). Definitely would make a second visit. Not a pretentious "micro pub"

Berliner is all about the amazing Cocktails. Pizza's are pretty good too. That said, it is starting to look a little long in the tooth lately, it has to be said. The outside area could be so good but it's a dumping ground most of the time and there's a number of, shall we say, outstanding maintenance jobs. If they took a bit more pride, it'd be a 5 star rating. Definitely worth a visit though.

The Berliner is a bar with a brilliant atmosphere and styling, it wouldn't be out of place in Hockley, and reminds me of a sort of mini Das Kino if people know that bar. Definitely the most interesting bar in Beeston and a nice change to some of the more traditional pubs in the town Great selection of German inspired bottled beers and good selection of general ales / lagers on tap, cocktails are good and they are often doing a 2 for £10 which is great value. The set up during Covid has been really good and we have felt very safe every time we visited. The staff are always really friendly and the place welcomes dogs so what's not to like!

A really nice out of town bar in a trendy neighborhood which could easily command a spot in the city centre. A cost environment offering good range of drinks and cocktails Only minor downside was a found the food slightly bland but this is potentially down to personal tastes

A very nice pub in Beeston that serves pizzas and hot dogs. As a two-time winner in my 20s, I would describe the pub quiz on a Tuesday as youth-friendly.

Great characteristic cocktail bar. Regular events including pub quiz, cabaret evenings and live music. Really friendly staff and management.

Had a wonderful night with friends celebrating my husband's birthday. The staff,especially George,couldn't have done more for us. Atmosphere is lovely, cocktails are fantastic and all the pizzas were delicious. We are so lucky having The Berliner on our doorstep. Thank you for having us!

Cannot praise this little cocktail bar hard enough! As mentioned before, the 2 for £9 before 9 deal on cocktails is excellent, and the bar tenders and friendly and efficient. Would also recommend trying the cocktail of the week- haven't been let down yet!Their other events are great too, and checking them out is something you won't regret. I've gone to the Tuesday pub quiz every week for the past few weeks and would highly recommend for it's variety (and for free pizza if there's over four of you!). The Curious Cabaret is also excellent, showcasing the best of local magic, poems and comedy. Had an excellent evening, and would certainly recommend checking out.

I went to the Berliner with a mate to catch up over a bite to eat and a few drinks.Glad we made the decision to stop by here - great little bar with a good atmosphere.My mate and I both opted for the currywurst pizza which was abislutely delicious!Definitely worth a visit!

The Berliner almost has a cocktail lounge vibe, very busy, vibrant atmosphere, quick service and lost of alcohol choices, neat place for a drink or two. Nice use of the red man from Berlin.

Hipster-esque dive bar. Strangely missing any Berlin beer and no German beer on draught. Edit: Much improved, imo, over the last two years. The malty sweet ABK Hell on draught and the atmosphere is now much better. Would love to see some Berliner Kindl coming to the taps, you never know.
