Only popped into the Berkeley Arms for a couple of beers but on a lovely summers evening in July sitting outside all very pleasant. I can imagine that conversely in winter with the open fire going it would be equally attractive. Staff friendly and decent selection of real ales and largers. Menu looked reasonable but can’t comment on that aspect - maybe next time!

The Lickfold Inn

16/06/2018: 3rd visit here in as many years. Food generally excellent. Starters of pea and mint soup accompanied by an almond gazpacho (not sure why) were excellent, as was the gin marinated salmon, and the outstanding beef tartare, with "Lickfold BIts". One of us had oysters, he did not want them cooked, so they kindly suggested a dish with 6 raw oysters with accompaniments.
29/04/2018: We planned our weekend break around a visit to the Lickfold Inn and weren't disappointed. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant and pub are cosy and comfortable and the food is amazing. The homemade bread and infused butter and the fresh radishes were the start of a fabulous Sunday lunch. My husband had the goat's cheese and fig starter and I opted for the tomatoes. Both dishes were bursting with flavour. The roast beef came with carrots, cabbage, crisp, fluffy roast potatoes, fantastic Yorkshire pudding and grated horseradish sauce. The whole thing was fabulous and very filling. The dessert was a honey-lover's dream. Our coffees were accompanied by two chocolate marshmallow petit fours. We drank an excellent Malbec with meal. Service was unhurried and the staff were happy to discuss the dishes. Given the quality of the meal the bill was reasonable. All in all it was a really enjoyable experience that I hope we can repeat.

The Boulevard

13/08/2018: Reasonable food and service at an acceptable price. Parking close by and just a stones throw from the sea.
24/03/2018: After the abrupt treatment at Billys on the Beach, we decided to try here. Glad we did, excellent all day breakfast, I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and my wife had a huge sandwich. They were training our waitress and she was very good and helpful. Clean and tidy, parking just around the corner. Would recommend
