The Berkeley Arms in Chichester

A great place. Really good food, great taste and large portions. The staff cant do enough to make you feel welcome. Will definately be back.

The pub has a nice feel about it from the outside but its a shame that it is ruined by rude regulars inside who stare at you and it is overcrowded.

Had a lovely Stilton ploughmans lunch. The cheese was stunning, and very generous. My husband had ham egg and chips, and he was very happy. Lovely attentive staff, all very friendly.

Sunday evening booking . A quiet restauarant. Our orders were taken promptly and food arrived quickly. Pies were rated very good by those who chose them . Vegetarian special was ok but caesar salad with chicken dissapointed because it contained anchovies. However an apology from the chef and and discount plus offer of a repalcement was given although declined. A free drink was provided instead which was very fair. Sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous. Well done to Berkeley for trying to please.

We were recommended to try "The Berkeley Arms" by friends as it has recently been taken over and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The London Pride was perfectly chilled and the food was delicious. We both started with the Chicken Liver Pate which was very tasty and also may I add homemade, my husband had the Ribeye Steak for his main course which was cooked to perfection and I had the Haddock Smokie which was sublime. We would have loved room for desert but could not manage it, maybe next time! Highly recommended, we will be returning to this lovely pub.
