Had a pleasant night with great food at the Bentley Bar. Food was good as was the service with friendly helpful staff.

Spend some money on your toilets you make enough

Arrived for our 6.30 reservation at 6.20 and weren’t being brought to our table until 6.50. People arrived after us and were brought to their tables straight away. When finally brought to our table, we were given no menus and had to sit for another 15 minutes before having to ask staff for some. Also weren’t asked for a drinks order when we sat down at the table.

Our last resort after driving in from a long journey. A very busy location and night hotspot. Got lost trying to leave. Food was surprisingly good.

NICEST GUINNESS IN TOWN. Cool pub, not too busy and staff were nice enough. But if you need a pint of Guinness, this is the best place that does it. I'm not sure what they do to it that makes it taste better than everywhere else, but it just does?!

Food and pricing is decent, but far from the best in Derry. The interior and atmosphere is alright, a little dark and tight though. There are several floors, about 4, to the building, so seating should not be an issue if they are all available.

Called in here randomly during the day with my husband after a business meeting and I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic! We both got different dishes but both where to die for. They were busy but thankfully the squeezed us in. Young staff were friendly which always helps and didn’t take long for food to arrive. Nice cosy atmosphere with plenty of tvs for football fanatics. Lovely spot, we’ll definitely be back. Prices were reasonable staff friendly and food fantastic!

Lively bar/restaurant. But if you’re a vegetarian, best to pre eat before coming here.

Great night out for the music bingo on Wednesdays! So much fun, great craic and good tunes. There’s also karaoke after the bingo.

Beautiful environment with great food and excellent beers. Highly recommended.

Lovely family meal and the staff were great

This spot is always a hit with my family!! My steak was cooked to perfection and so so tasty! Food is always top notch especially reccomend their fish. It is always so crispy and full of good meat. Excellent service with amazing tasty food. If you’re passing by it’s definitely worth a visit!!

Nice place, loads to choose from food and drink... shot bar is class. Staff are friendly and good secuirty staff. Business always goes above and beyond for Derry people.

Yesterday our group of 4 waited 20 minutes to be seated and in that time every other group who arrived after us got seated straight away. As we were about to sit down at our allocated table, a woman who came in after us demanded she wanted our table so we were made to move by staff to a dark table next to the noisy bar where the sounds of smashing glasses interrupt conversation. We then waited an hour and a half for our food whilst we watched others who came in after us get served and finish their meals. When we finally got served one of the members of our group didn’t receive her food for an additional 10 minutes. When their food finally came she took one bite before the waiter came and snatched the plate from her without an explanation and walked away. 10 minutes later he came back and explained they had given her chicken instead of veggie pasta! When we were finished I asked to use my student discount only to be told it was expired and wouldn’t work when that wasn’t true. I was fortunately able to get my discount after he asked another member of staff who told the waiter my student discount was perfectly fine to use? By the time we had paid we were the last ones in the restaurant and a female member of staff came to our table and told us to hurry up and leave as they were cleaning up. Bear in mind we had the table booked for 7pm and didn’t get served till 8:30pm, what nerve they had to tell us to hurry up?! My friends had buses home for 9pm and they all missed them due to the terribly slow and cheeky service from the staff.

Never come here! We booked a table for 4 of us at 7pm and the staff forgot about us and left us at the bar. We were then brought to our table and before we sat down, another customer complained about her table and stole our table? Meaning we were sat in a dark corner of the room. Our food took over an hour and a half to come and my food came 10 minutes after everyone else. Once my food arrived and I took a bite, our waiter then grabbed my food off me without explaining why while I was in the middle of eating it. It then turned out he gave me chicken pasta when I ordered vegetarian pasta but didn’t care to explain this to us The staff then ignored us when we tried to pay and he again was very rude and impatient with my friend who had a student discount. He said this wouldn’t work (it did work, great thinking!) and caused us stress. Then as we went to leave, another waitress came over and told us rudely to hurry up and leave as they were closing. This wouldn’t be an issue if you actually served us on time

Turkey dinner was pathetic The veg was rock hard Covered in gravy rather than the gravy being optional As for the fish It was like something you'd get in a cheap chip van badly undercooked despite me asking for it to be overcooked Most outrageous thing was the meal cost more than bishopsgate bar food or the Exchange

Food was lovely staff was young but they were good at their jobs. Did a good Guinness, too. Value for money was good too.

Took a while to get our table even though we had booked. Food arrived well before the drinks, which wasn't ideal. It took 3 staff to get our drinks order. Had the Guinness steak pie it was delicious.

Really enjoyed having dinner at The Bentley Bar. Our waitress, Cheryl was great! She provided some great recommendations for the fish of the day and Shepards pie; they were both delicious! On top of a great meal they included a free desert if you ate upstairs. We took them up on their offer and again the deserts were spectacular.

Had dinner here on Saturday 25th Nov, with my family for my 60th birthday. 21 of us. The staff were brilliant, went above and beyond and the service was great. No waiting on food or drinks. Had a wonderful evening. The Bentley supports Cystic Fybrosis charity, which we didnt know when booking so as my Grandson has CF we were delighted to dine there. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic pub for watching sports and just chatting w patrons. Fast, friendly service too. Hope to return and sample the menu

Was in on Saturday for the first time, a tough steak and poor slow service for it not being too busy

Worst experience ever at the Bentley last night. We had pre booked, and when we arrived it was very obvious staff were under a lot of pressure they were totally disorganised and didnot know what they were doing. We were shown to our table after 10 mins. We had to ask to order our drinks twice the waitress then came back to ask what wine we had ordered even though it was the only Rose on the menu. There was no sign of a manager anywhere. After 25 mins and asking 3 times to order our food and being blatantly ignored a waitress took our order. I advised we where attending a show and needed to leave by 7.30. At this point she informed us that she couldn't guarantee we would get our food on time as the kitchen was busy. If we had been advised on arrival we could have made a decision to go elsewhere. After another 10 mins a scruffy looking guy came to our table he didn't introduce himself so I can only assume he was the restaurant manager. He asked if there was an issue with the meal timing to which I advised yes if we had been informed at the start we could have gone elsewhere. I informed him as someone who has worked in the hospitalty industry I am well aware of industry standard timings to which he replied they dont work to industry standards. He stated we had upset his staff member and asked us to leave as he didn't like my attitude. We gladly left at this stage. The place was in chaos. Maybe his staff would have been happier and more efficient if he had been on the floor guiding them. We used to be regular visitors to this restaurant as the food was good and staff used to be so friendly. We will never be back and would advise the directors if they want to keep their business to train their staff in manners and customer service.

MYSELF AND 3 SISTERS ARRIVED AT 5 45 ,I HAD BOOKED A TABLE EARLIER FOR 6PM,TO BE TOLD THERE WASN'T A TABLE BOOKED AT ALL !!!! AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES A FELLA CAME OVER TO CHECK,HE SAID THAT I HAD BOOKED AND ONE OF THE GIRLS SAID TO ,FOLLOW HER WE HAD TO CLIMB TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS ( TWO OF MY SISTERS HAD MOBILITY PROBLEMS AND THE LIFT WAS OUT OF ORDER!!!! SHE THEN SHOWED US TO OUR TABLE,AND ALL I CAN SAY THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT " COULD FIT INTO IT WAS LEPRECHAUNS !!!!! WE ASKED TO GET MOVED TO ANOTHER TABLE THAT WAS ALSO SET FOR FOUR PEOPLE,AFTER CONSULTING WITH ANOTHER MEMBER OF STAFF SHE RELUCTANTLY LET US SIT DOWN !!!! FIRSTLY WE ORDERED A DRINK,THAT TOOK 20 MINUTES TO ARRIVE.THE SERVICE WAS SO,SO SLOW,FOR STARTERS AND MAIN MEAL , WE DIDN'T ORDER DESSERTS BECAUSE OF THIS.I KNOW IT WAS VERY BUSY ( AND THE STAFF" RUN OF THEIR FEET) IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME " EATING IN THE BENTLEY" AND UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL BE OUR LAST 😞

We went for a meal at the weekend and it was not very busy but we waited almost an hour to get the meal which was disappointing. One if the meals tasted of burnt, a young girl came and asked us was everything alright and we told her what was wrong with the food and she didn't know what to do so got someone else to take it from us. They replace the main dish but not the side which was not nice either as the garlics and all you could taste was grease. We used to go here all the time with top food and service but this has really put us off from going back.

The Bentley is a grand spot for a beer, with a very lively atmosphere. The service is top notch (from Sinéad usually), and contributes to a memorable experience.

From booking the party with the Bentley, organising the party to the actual day of the party, the Bentley staff involved were so helpful, kind and considerate throughout! They really helped to make our sister’s birthday a lovely day to remember. The function room was a lovely room, perfect for our party size of 55 (with a bar in the room) and staff who were friendly and helpful to every guest- nothing was ever too much and their kindness and friendliness shone through. I’m not good at remembering names, but the members of staff that helped to make our sister’s party a great one (14th Oct)- thank you! I come to the Bentley for dinner as well- and it never disappoints! Food always goes down a treat, service with a smile and right in the city centre!

Had a quick bite before the big match, staff very friendly and helpful. Had the cod starter, was absolutely beautiful, will be back soon

Had a great meal with amazing service. Food was very good and great location. Plenary of seating in the bar or throughout the restaurant.

Food was delicious. Service was understandably slow due to being so busy but the staff was great and kept us informed on what was going on and kept the drinks coming while we waited on food. The steak was the best I have ever had. Perfect place for a romantic date night.

Love the Bentley. We have been now a few times for lunch and dinner and drinks. Great service and food lovely, big portions can't recommend enough.

The live music in here was great and the drink is very reasonably priced but the food was a let down. I ordered lasagne which was so over seasoned with salt I couldn't eat it after trying a few bites I gave up. The chips where very nice that was about it. Our friends arrived and placed an order waited over 45 mins lno food appeared there was a problem with the app so the order hadn't gone through to the kitchen. The waitress was very apologetic so they waited another 20 mins before the food arrived. They did complain when paying but it was just laughed off. Wil definitely be back for the live entertainment but not the food.

Sun Sept 17 went to Badgers but they’d stopped serving food already and recommended The Bentley. So grateful they did. The service was perfectly timed and kind; the servers are hardworking and looked like they really work as a team. We had the classic burger and breaded chicken sandwich and both sooo flavorful, hot and fresh. The atmosphere was pub/bar, clean, relaxed and the right amount of lively. Highly recommend.

Sirloin steak was cooked perfect medium rare

Wow, top quality food, sirloin steak was cooked perfect medium rare, very friendly staff and great service looking around at our party of 8, very much everyone had cleared their plate. I honestly couldn't find fault. Have eaten here before, and will definitely be here in the future.

Unreal! Me and my boyfriend always go out to eat at the Bentley, It's our number one spot. There are so many options to choose from and everything I've tried has been lovely. It is a good price too and it includes a side with the main meals which many other restaurants/bars don't seem to do anymore. There are so many gluten free options available too.

The bar staff were great but the waitresses were appalling in their rudeness. They were abrupt and unfriendly. We almost felt we were in the way or something. We have never felt as unwelcome anywhere. There are plenty of lovely restaurants in Derry where the staff are good craic and make you feel at home and that's where we'll be going from now on.

Good food but the organisation is very bad. I am a tour guide. I told to the people of my group that wanted that they could go there. They entered together. Some finished eating when some had not received yet what they ordered. I told that we had to go and they said that they have to pay or thfy call the police. And then there were 6 people of different families that where in two different table and they told that they had to pay all together. Really not good.

Lovely restaurant and great food here. Well positioned just below the walls of Derry. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Very reasonable prices. Our second visit and we'll be back.

Nice food, service, decor, but service a little poor.

It deserves 5 stars in everything but I don't give it because there is always something to improve. Everything is correct without further ado, but very correct. If it has been there for so many years it will be for a reason.

Great grub ..surroundings ..environment and staff

Me and my friend went for a pint this afternoon, my friend left her bag so we went back ten minutes later and the bouncer let her in with a photo of her ID she had left in her bag, however would not let me in with her, with my valid ID, as he said it was fake because it’s an English ID. When questioned about it his only reasoning was the valid to date on the back (not the expiry date) which is different on English ID’s from Irish (it’s until you are 70). Very disappointed in this discriminatory bouncer, will not be back!

Very friendly staff here, responsive and fast. The pub style fare is okay, we've had worse, but we've also had better.

Always a pleasant experience to visit The Bentley Bar. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very nice way to pass a few hours on a wet night in Derry during the Jazz week end . Thoroughly enjoyed the band, The Motown Sensations were fantastic and the crowd really responded to them. Great night enjoyed by all.

I can not rate the food but the service was too slow. One barman.....not that there were too many customers on the night we visited. Standing waiting on drinks for 20 minutes and no barman in sight. Very poor service.

First time there. Good service, nice atmosphere and tasty food at a reasonable price. Will definitely call in again the next time we're in Stroke City.

Staff not the nicest in this place maybe a bad day on them

I'd booked a table ages in advance. When We arrived we were sent upstairs to the restaurant. There were no other customers there and immediately a member of staff picked up the phone to ring someone. We were left standing for ages and felt totally unwelcome. Only for a guy came in from the back we'd have been left standing. Food was ok but not exceptional. A bit expensive for what we got. We had a lot more food and drink in Fitzroy's across the road for alot less. We won't be rushing back

I Was here to see the carabao cup on sunday past. There is plenty of screens to watch the footy, whether it's Scottish Premier League or Premier league or the cup competitios. As a non drinker, there's a good range of non Alcoholic beers and drinks. The non Alcoholic beers are not overly expensive either. I have watched the football here a couple of times because of the range and price of these beers. The food is really good too, quite a good menu aswell, everything from pasta to steaks to burgers.The Bentley is bigger than you think, there is a number of sections within the premises, lots of spaces to find a spot to munch good quality food and drink. We managed to get a wee section for Newcastle united fans to watch the match decent enough for around 20 of us and there was food service available. Staff are really nice and very helpful. I also loved the fact they promote being dry and out, with a campaign I saw, this really makes a difference for non drinkers like me, gives us a place we can go, socialise and not be beer pressured into drinking and that culture.

Went on a Tuesday evening full meal ,desert&drinks for 2 just over £33.00. Food & service great.

10 of us reserved an area, watched the rugby then had dinner. Staff were great and very friendly. Food was lovely, toilets were clean. Prices were fair, couldn't have asked for a better evening. Oh and we won ! Definitely recommend the Bentley, we'll be back

4 hungry and thirsty people we arrived at the Bentley on a Saturday afternoon. Despite the bar being very busy after a short wait a lovely member of staff had us seated and our drinks order taken in no time. We explained we were in a hurry for another appointment and they had our food order taken and the food served really quickly. The food was great, reasonably priced and a great selection to suit most people's tastes. Again I say that somewhere like the Bentley is only as good as it's staff and the Bentley has wonderful staff. Really friendly and helpful, a real credit to the place. Good to see younger people's ID'S been checked by staff. A sure sign of a well run bar. Thanks to the staff and hopefully it won't be our last visit. So if you find yourself hungry and thirsty in Derry get over to the Bentley you won't be disappointed.

Very nice food. Louisana chicken with champ. Chips, steak and Guinness pie. Very nice meals.

Poorly organised buffet, ran out of food and plates, waitress chewing gum throughout service

Visited last Sunday evening. Awful experience. Firstly didn't have steak fillet which we only discovered when going to order. No problem, ordered sirloin - blue/rare. Steak came out and it was well done. Sent it back and 10 minutes later received the order completely wrong from what was originally asked for. Didn't bother sending this one back as I was already way behind the others so just got on with it. To top it all off as we finished the mains the place started to vibrate from the club music being pumped out very loudly from the floor below. I'm genuinely not one to complain often at all but everything here (serving staff aside) was terrible, couldn't wait to leave the place.

Will certainly make this our first choice for a meal next time we are in Derry.

We had a fantastic meal and we wer a party of 9, everything was perfect.then we stayed for the live music a fantastic duo called flair ...we had a brilliant time and we will be back

Always try to visit the Bentley for a meal when in Londonderry. The food is amazing, portions very generous, excellent value for money & the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend.

Visited a few days ago and had lunch with my mum and my mate. The food was amazing. The service was quick. I’ve rated it a three because midway through the meal I went to the bar to ask for a jug of blackcurrant for the table. When I got there there were two members of staff having some sort of disagreement. One staff member (male) seemed to be giving the female bartender a really hard time. Totally unprofessional to do this in-front of customers. I stood there for a second and the female was looking toward me, he really didn’t like that. “Why are you looking at her?? I’m speaking to you”. He was speaking to a full grown woman like she was a child. Not only was he being demeaning and rude to her but he had also succeeded in making me, the customer, uncomfortable. I really regret not saying something at the time but I suppose this is better than nothing. Hope she has a wonderful Christmas.

My Family and Friends had My surprise 30th here on October 30th. We had food in the restaurant, very spacious and enough room for everyone to move about. Everyone had something different on the menu to eat and everyone's food was fantastic, we will 100%...
