The food was nice but very basic for the price, I had the pie which came with frozen chips and peas, for that price it should have come with mash, 3 fresh veg and a nice rich gravy

This pub has good food and is busy. But if you only want a drink I wouldn't bother (or get there at opening time) as there's very limited space in the bar itself and the staff let people who prefer to eat at one of the few tables in the bar do so? Why? There are lots of tables in three separate restaurant areas. There aren't enough parking spaces either.

Amazing food, the best open steak sandwich I’ve ever had. Steak was cooked perfectly and not chewy, very generous portion sizes too. Love that dogs are welcome in the bar area, and they have a lovely garden area. Will definitely return if I’m in the area again.

A lovely place as usual, brilliant staff , very welcoming, friendly and cheerful. The food is just amazing.

excellent Sunday lunch, staff were excellent as well. Roast beef was cooked well, generous amounts of vegetables and the children’s chicken dinner never disappoints. Until the next time!

One of my favourite places in herefordshire. First came here 8 years ago on a lunch date, we are still regular lunch time visitors. The open sandwiches are amazing and seemed to of had a tweek lately making them even nicer! The bar staff are always friendly and helpful. There's always a good beer on tap and a good choice of gin.

Dog friendly and wheelchair friendly were what we needed and we found this and so much more at The Bell Inn. Superb quality food and extremely good service. Smoked salmon starter on the specials menu was sublime. All good was perfectly cooked and very high presentation all round. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Delicious food in a beautiful pub, a really warm welcome too. It is so nice to find really good vegetarian options that aren't risotto or goat cheese based! Can't wait to come back

Good country pub atmosphere and the youngster's who served us we cheerful and looked after us extremely well especially as they were extremely busy (ie the Saturday before Christmas). Also a big thanks to the guys doing the gard work in the kitchen! Happy Christmas !

Mediterranean vegetable tart was beautiful. Mars bar cheesecake a little rich but tasty.

The Bell is back to its old standards. Great atmosphere on a Saturday night, and a good welcome. Struggled to choose as several things looked great but went for the Special jagerschnitzel and the hake, as mains. Moist and flavoursome. Will definately be back.

Absolutely delicious food as always. We both had the open sandwiches and chips. It was quite busy and food arrived very quickly. Generous portion sizes. Staff are always fantastic. They are always happy and smiley and nothing is too much trouble.

Sunday Lunch was absolutely delicious. We were a family party of 5 and we have to say the best Roast Beef Dinner ever eaten out for a Sunday Pub visit. Everything piping hot superb roasted potatoes, cauliflower cheese and the beef perfectly cooked. The staff are so friendly and always providing excellent service. Will be frequently coming back that’s for sure.

Was super happy with my meal, the accommodated my 2 Yr old who actually sat and ate his kids meal (a first) great vegetarian options too 👍

Visited Sunday 2 July 2023 for an afternoon drink! Car park full, had to use the overflow. People leaving of all ages, all happy and content. Went into bar area, all empty tables cleaned, staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite - and very busy tidying and cleaning as people left. Coming back for a meal on Wednesday evening 😋

One of the best country pubs in Herefordshire for food, atmosphere and service. Will definitely go again soon.

Have not been here in a long while but glad I popped in. Food was outstanding and the service & welcome was great. The outside seating/eating area was lovely but quickly filled up. Probably could do with a few more benches for these summer months. Will definitely be back 👍👍👍

Quite pricey for food. Starters were very nice. Some of the main courses were overpriced for what they were. Steak in the pie was very salty.

Excellent experience, the food was really good and the service was exceptional.

A large group of family and friends met for lunch. Myself and my partner ordered the roast beef - it was thoroughly disappointing. The veg was completely tasteless and overcooked, the gravy was like water, the potatoes tasted as though they had been sat for hours - rubbery on the outside and watery on the inside. We bought the children chips and we were charged £4 for a handful. Overall it was terrible food and very overpriced for the quality. It's a shame because the pub is beautiful and the surroundings are stunning, with a good chef it could be an outstanding venue but unfortunately the food is dire and seriously let's it down.

You know it's going to be good when the car park is full and they're parking on the field. We were here visiting the area for a family birthday and had Sunday lunch. The staff were great, attentive and remembered who had ordered which drinks & there were 11 of us! Cannot fault any of the food, it was all good and the portions were very generous! Would definitely recommend for a Sunday lunch.

Been meeting two ex colleagues for lunch here on a regular basis for 6 or 7 years. Lunch today was excellent as always.

How refreshing to find a pub where the menu, make that lunch menu in particular, is not just sandwiches, burgers and fish & chips. Lovely menu which delivers on taste and quality, served in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and clearly very popular. Highly recommend this place.

This place was fantastic great selection of drinks and great service the duck was exceptionally cooked to perfection couldn't knock the food. Me and my party couldn't fault the place. Will definitely be visiting agian.

The Bell Inn is a great local pub that ticks all the boxes. It has a nice selection of drinks (including one of the most refreshing Staropramen pints I've ever had), serves delicious food (the focaccia is a must-try) and its dog-friendly which is nice. Plus, it's a great spot to watch the rugby on their large projector. Overall, a must-visit if you're in the area!

A lovely pub, never been there before but heard it was good, and it was good. The waiting staff were young, but very efficient, hard working and you could have a laugh with them. The food was smashing, not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. The ambiance of the pub was friendly, sometimes when you go into a country pub it can be a little daunting with everyone looking at you, but here you feel one of the crowd. Definitely going back.

Had a very tasty meal and well presented. Although it was busy lunch time we were served promptly. The front of house was pleasant and professional and helped me make great choice on my vegetarian meal, nice menu to choose from. Just fancied something meat free and The pasta dish I had was perfect.

Lovely light lunch - onion rings and chips, was absolutely gorgeous and the service is impeccable here, lovely group of ladies who are very assertive and are doing a fantastic job, they make the pub that extra bit amazing. 10/10 would recommend

I've been going to The Bell for years, recently someone told me it has gone down hill a bit, after my recent visit I have to agree. They used to do an open steak and open chill chicken sandwich which were both amazing, also both now off the menu and after today I see why. I had the steak sandwich as I expected it to be the same quality, it was in fact very, very disappointing. It was absolutely pilled with red onions, way too much, probably to cover up the fact that there was hardly any steak on it at all. What little was there was so fatty it was inedible. I felt entirely ripped off after paying the best part of £17 for a few chips, 3 fatty bits of steak and a bit of bread. I'm done with the place after that, absolutely terrible.

A really great place to go for either or drink or especially for their food. The food is of superb quality and also of very generous portions. The service was also good and plenty of parking, I highly recommend this place for a visit!

Love it!! We have just moved into Burghill and we are thrilled to have found this wonderful pub! We have visited for Sunday lunch for the last 3 weeks 😁 The staff are so polite and professional. The food has been consistently good and hot, delicious Sunday roast, fresh vegetables, perfect gravy and succulent meats. Proper roasties and the Yorkshire pudding doesn't dissapoint either! Beautifully served deserts too. We have recently tried another local pub but nothing compares to the Bell Inn in my opinion! I'm a fan! Thanks! Hayley and family 😁

Lovely staff. Food is solid/good for a pub (above average but not gastro-pub quality, and that is fine given the reasonable prices) - vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. Nice ambience to the place both in formal dining area and the less formal bar-room. Easy to get to and parking is excellent. Looks like it has a great outdoor seating area, which I am yet to try.

Had a meal out with my parents who have been coming to this pub for many years. Absolutely faultless dinner and service. Had the crisp y beef as a starter - Great textures with a real sense of heat after eating it Pork loin main - Best I’ve experienced in a long while - Generous portion that was soft and moist and served with an excellent crisped crackling - The dauphinoise potatoes & veg were great, too. Finished with the mars bar cheesecake - sweet but so tasty. Best meal out I’ve had in a long time - Thoroughly recommend this place.

We booked a table yesterday by email which was quick and easy and arrived a bit early to be greeted at the bar and taken straight to our table. The menu was excellent and covered both our tastes. Proper Beef roast and a veggie curry. Both meals were delicious, the staff were attentive and pleasant. We couldn't manage pudding so we might have to go back later in the week to try those

My return visit to The Bell having previously been a regular, was most disappointing and ruined a family reunion, family having travelled many miles on my recommendations . Tables were cramped, chairs uncomfortable, room dreary lit and airless. The food was basic, of poor quality and not as described on the menu. Steak burger tasted like regular mince not steak mince, honey roast ham was tasteless and fatty, vegetarian and vegan choices limited. The piece-de-resistance chips tasting like they were frozen, shop bought and under-cooked oven chips. Staff appeared robotic and disinterested. Whilst paying I was asked if everything was ok, my reply of no it was all average and a disappointment was totally ignored. In all, low quality and high prices. The Bell appears to be living off their past reputation created by the innovative late owner Jackie. We will not return.

Even though it was a busy evening and we hadn't made a booking were shown to a table. Having just moved house that day it was a relief to be able to sit down and enjoy a lovely meal in an pleasant environment. We will definitely be back once we have settled in.

I feel very fortunate to live so close to such a wonderful pub. From the friendly, accommodating staff to the divine food, I've never had anything but a wonderful experience. We visit regularly, sometimes for a quiet drink in the bar with our dog or for a family dinner. Whatever the time, a table is always found for us. The roast dinner is always perfectly cooked with a wonderful variety of fresh vegetables and generous portion. They even have my favourite beer on tap, Blue Moon; a rear find! Would recommend for couples, friends, families and celebrations a like!

Only stopped for a drink mid bike ride this time but have eaten here before and the food has always been excellent and staff always seem friendly and efficient. The pub is currently up for sale so I hope the new owners maintain the high standard it currently has.

Sat outside with our Gordon Setter, lovely outdoor space, lovely staff, great food with proper servings of veg that you can count towards your five a day (hooray), and a mars bar cheese cake that was scrummy! Lots of dog water bowls and a tap.
