Lovely breakfast wonderful service

Lovely quaint pub with a little farm shop inside selling local products. We we're camping down the road so this was great to have on our doorstep for a hot meal and somewhere comfortable to sit. Excellent service.

I eat regularly at the Beehive....the food is consistently of a very high standard..I was accommodated without notice on Wednesday circa 5pm when they were booked up...it was my daughter's birthday who lives away . the food and service was superb..Thankyou.

Visited for a Saturday lunchtime celebration and although very busy (there was a separate party of 20) the service and attention by the staff was 1st class. The meals we had were excellent and the desserts on another level. Would definitely recommend, but booking is essential.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very nice.

Nice pub but had better food elsewhere, mash was lumpy and more like a half cooked jacket potato with the skin taken off, peas were stone cold the minute they were served. Doubt I will go back there, 2 stars for being dog friendly.

Amazing place to eat and the staff are so friendly. The food was outstanding and there was a lovely atmosphere. Parking is a little bit tight but worth it.

On the first visit we walked in, three adults and a dog.They have an area for dogs but the tables were occupied. The staff very kindly offered an alternative table. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was great quality and good portion sizes. Salt and pepper chips were delicious! Decided to visit again and reserve a table. Again, staff were brilliant. All enjoyed our meals. Lovely little gem of a place. Will definitely return.

Heard good reviews about this pub years ago. Finally got there after a walk up Eccles Pike yesterday. Not disappointed. Lovely food and beer.

Had a wonderful 2 experiences at this pub. First off, the service is excellent 👍. Very attentive and efficient. 2nd, the food is wonderful. Big portions and really tasty. Some great keg and cask beers and an awesome little shop inside for a sweet extra treat or just a bit of light shopping (think corner shop).

Had a huge ploughman's lunch .. a little overwhelming. But a good selection of cheeses, pickles and gorgeous ham. Efficient staff and cozy surrounds. Left with a good impression and a truckload of leftover cheese 🧀😃

Food was excellent, as was the service. Definitely recommend.

I can't praise this enough. A group of 20 of us went there to celebrate a friend's birthday after a walk. I arrived on time and was well looked after. The group were a little late but no concern was shown by staff. How they got food out more or less at the right time was amazing. Waiters were calm and helpful. I can't wait to go again.

Really nice food and beer. Great halfway point if you're walking between hills or towns. Very steep walk up out and over to Buxton or Dove but amazing views.

What an amazing meal. Christmas meal was absolutely gorgeous and fantastic value too. Loads of menu choices. Staff incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Should definitely be on your list of places to try.

Fab place, great food and always enjoyable

Amazing gluten free food at a good price. Very good service and waiters, very kind and caring. They accept dogs and have plenty of vegan options. Their shop inside has a never ending list of dog treats and the food is just so good and mouthwatering. The waiters check up on you and provide excellent answers and questions to all your needs. The people who eat there are very accepting and friendly, a good place for all ages.

After calling in a Robinson pub down the Rd with a bizarre Mexican menu, we found the beehive and very glad we did too, fantastic food, cosy fire, excellent pint of wainwright's. 10 out of 10

Came here whilst staying at a campsite up the road. We arrived late ans called ahead. Really friendly staff told us not to stress and get here when we can. Wainwrights was spot on. Great little hidden gem .Food was great , huge portions and fire was welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We returned to The Beehive for another visit after five years. Little has changed in respect that the staff, surroundings, and service remains top class. The Inn is a mixture of local folk who socialise, whilst guests and diners are made to feel welcome by the staff. Those who dine have their own area inside, or, should you choose, can dine outside. We found the "Standard" menu was what you would expect from similar establishments, and so went with the specials menu. We were not disappointed, with a main meal and dessert well cooked, and well portioned. combined each meal working out around £25. Phone ahead to book a table is our advice, because during certain times of the year, it is bound to be busy. Ad hoc guests are welcome, but you could be disappointed if you were looking for more than just a drink.

During our stay at combs valley campsite we booked in to eat at The Beehive. I’ve got to say that it’s up there with the best meals we’ve ever had in a restaurant. All home cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. I was very pleased to see a Thornbridge brew on tap also. After the excellent evening meal we returned the following morning to have an equally excellent breakfast. Thank you,we’re definitely going to be back.👌🏻

This was the best pub lunch or indeed any restaurant lunch we have had in a very long time. Superb roast beef and lamb shank both perfectly cooked with a host of fresh vegetables, Yorkshire pud and tasty gravy. Fantastic value for money compared with many others and the young serving staff were attentive, alert and very pleasant. Highly recommended. Good idea to book as it is obviously popular but not overcrowded.

What an amazing place. Superbly located for various walks, the food is simply superb. Really friendly staff, enormous portions, very tasty indeed, and a well kept bar.

Spent a weekend in a holiday cottage 50 metres from this pub - what a result ! Ate there Fri & Sat, top quality food, great setting, excellent staff ! Steak was cooked perfectly, mushroom stroganoff for the good lady on day 1, steak & ale pie, butternut squash and spinach lasagne on day 2. No room for any desserts 🫤 Very highly recommended 👍🏼

The Beehive do an absolutely fabulous veggie brekkie, just the right amount of food and no stodge. It really sets you up for the day. They also have amazing homemade cakes and cannoli on the bar too, if you're feeling naughty. The staff are lovely and friendly, and the pub is quaint and cosy.

Very pleasant, efficient, welcoming staff. Great atmospheric country pub. Visited on a Friday evening and was very busy, we would advise booking. Great varied menu. The standard of food is extremely high. The only things stopping me giving 5 stars were the fact that they got the “fries” and “chips” the wrong way round on our order, (maybe im being a little picky) plus i never got the salad i ordered with mine. Neither is major but a bit annoying. We will most certainly be back at some point and would highly recommend

Great place to stop off for a bite to eat or just a drink whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery. Traditional country pub With the addition of a little farm shop inside selling local goods. The pub itself is split into three rooms inside and also a good sized outdoor seating area to the front of the pub, some of which is undercover. This time we stopped off for Sunday dinner which did not disappoint with a large serving of roast beef with all the trimmings and all well cooked. Delightful. Service was good too with adequate staff available. Looking forward to the next visit already.

What a lovely hidden gem set in a small countryside village. The covered outside area is great, preventing rain stopping play. A great menu with a wide variety of food options to choose from. Lots of drink options. Including real ales at the bar. The staff where very friendly and helpful with no request a problem. Would definitely go back if in the area or if staying at the camp site again.

Wonderful atmospheric country pub, with a great range of food and beer - including Beehive! My only criticism is that Google Maps/Android took us off the A6 and down a hair-raising single track lane with no passing places to get there! Definitely one to visit again. Next time we'll ignore the satnav@

Lovely local pub with a small shop.

Great breakfast options available and whilst not in the mood for a full cooked breakfast we opted for a sausage and egg sandwich and an eggs benedict with crispy bacon. Eggs were great and bacon was indeed crispy. Result. All well priced and served efficiently by a friendly waitress. Nothing more we could have wanted.

We visited in the last couple of days. The staff are very good and efficient. The food was ok, possibly a little overpriced but the place was busy so doing something right. 2 starters, two mains, 2 pints and the total was £50+. Good location

Cosy pub restaurant with small food shop with a nice range of local products eggs and bread. Outside area has clear light cover for all weathers, and heaters for eating outside. Friendly locality. Good food, portions less generous than previously - but still good value. Lovely menu- always worth checking specials board. Will definitely return!

Really enjoyable experience, I have been here on 2 occasions now about 2 years apart. Lovely pub set in a great village with lots of walks and ample parking available. Nice atmosphere and we loved seeing all the doggos. Food was tasty and the service was good. They dealt with our big group well. I had a starter of bread, the beehive burger and the beehive sundae. I have marked down a star because I felt the beef brisket on the burger was more like a pulled beef, still nice but not as described. Also the sundae was a lot of cream, one dollop of (very nice local) ice cream and then all the salted caramel sauce was at the bottom, this didn't feel like there was much sauce. The homemade honeycomb though was great.

Stopped for Sunday dinner while staying at a local campsite and was very impressed with the food.

Wed 14th June The weather was absolutely scorching we called in for a couple of Shandy's.They were absolutely awful somebody should learn the staff how to mix a drink. They were both as flat as could be and we're devoid of any taste the worst we've had in all our walking trips over the years

Really lovely pub set in a beautiful location just down the road from Castle Naze rocks. The staff were super friendly and the pub itself is lovely and quaint. There’s also plenty of seating outside the front for those beautiful sunny days like today. I would add that any vegans looking to eat here might struggle. There was one starter on the menu that was vegan and that was it.

Really lovely inn for a bit of post rock climbing relaxation! Decent beer on tap, a great little shop too! Only downside was pretty much complete lack of any vegan items/food etc

Really nice quiet spot, which was even better in the scorching sunshine. I ate outside on the covered terrace with a quenching cold pint of Madri. I ordered a good old fashioned traditional Scampi which was served with either fries / chips and mushy / garden peas. I chose the chips and garden peas and was not disappointed! The portion size was large and it was beautiful. The staff were polite and tentative and I will definitely be going back in the near future to sample something from the fantastic specials board.
