Had Sunday lunch in The Bear, absolutely love the service and the staff are excellent. Food is tasty and we had very quick service, highly recommend

We were staying at Frimley Hall and popped in to The Bear on a recommendation. A very warm welcome and lovely ale and Prosecco. Great menu and wine list and went for the chicken burger and pulled pork sandwich with chips and both were lovely. If in the area well worth a visit.

Been here a few times. Weekends, during the week, daytime, afternoon mainly. Really nice ambience. Excellent menu. Food is super. They do a fantastic BBQ aswell. Lovely to sit outside and just people watch. Good service too. Well recommend.

Super staff, comfy modern pub, the Bear became my go to spot in Camberley. Great food (excellent Chicken Parmigiana and Ribs!), great beer - including a couple of pulled casked ales, and accomodating staff make the Bear a delight. Whether dining indoor or outdoor on the pedestrian mall, this dog-friendly pub is a perfect place to unwind and dine.

I urge you to have your coffee at The Bear when out and about in Camberley. I've just sat outside nice and peacefully, drinking my mug of proper cappuccino, at a price which easily beats the usual coffee shops!

We ordered a BLT sandwich with salad and a side of Nacho's along with a couple of beers, after 40 minutes my wife went to the bar and asked if there was a delay on food and he said he would ask and then came over to say it will be 5 minutes, 15 minutes later it arrived and the bacon was almost 50% fat and the salad was 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half / 4 slices of cucumber and half a plate of lettuce. Whilst edible after removing all the fat from the bacon to wait an hour mid afternoon for a sandwich which was in fact a roll & not a sandwich and Nacho's I wouldn't recommend for the £38.22 Bill

Utter dump full of Camberley "locals". Avoid this place at all costs. Drink and food prices are vastly inflated. No atmosphere and very poor service.

Enjoyed a lovely meal today with my children and grandchild,food was amazing and the staff member was very friendly and helpful,a great visit as always :) highly recommend the bear for a family meal!

What a lovely pub. I was staying in a hotel near by and wanted somehwere I could relax and be anonymous. They have some good beers and the food was really well cooked. I had a lovley time and didn't feel like Billy no mates! Listened to some good tunes had a couple pints ate some good food. Nice bloke behind the pass. Come you won't be disappointed.

We went for Sunday lunch for the first time since the Bear's reopening today. The roast dinner was just as good as ever, but we were disappointed by the lack of choice of beer and wine, and red wine by the glass was very expensive. Still the best place locally for Sunday lunch, though, and hopefully the range of drinks will increase once they've got going again.

My girlfriend and I eat out a lot and love nothing more than a decent meal in friendly environment with good atmosphere, few weeks ago on a Sunday and randomly we walked into the this place and order two lamb roast dinners and let me tell you it was really really good unexpectedly we got roasted lamb shanks in our plates not just some sort of shredded cheap lamb slices you get in most places, lots of beautifully cooked variety of veg and the that big kick ass Yorkshire pudding is just a naughty treat on the plate, great places to be with great food

After so many visits to chain restaurants in Camberley, we had lunch in this interesting & welcoming pub. Lovely beer and nice food. We both had great value wraps for £5.95. They both came with a nicely dressed salad garnish. My wife said that the salmon, avocado & horseradish one was the nicest wrap she had ever tasted.

Called in with the wife and son for a light bite, was made very welcome by Jasmine. Having looked at the bar menu the deep filled rolls caught our eye. Ordered coronation chicken for the wife and my son and I had the sausage rolls. Pleasant surroundings definitely going to return.

Go in here after work sometimes and love it. A lovely pint of stowford press,and can sit outside with the heaters on and stay warm. Polite staff and always looks clean and inviting.

Went to this beautifull little pub for reunion with friends, got there ok went in and recieved a very warm welcome from barman , a very good range of wines, spirits and beer , we ordered food and it soon came wow wow, it was just perfect highly recommend to eat here, spent a long time here and there was no rush to get us out, very impressed

My friend and I went to The Bear on Monday evening for a drink after work and we ended up staying for the pub quiz. The atmosphere in there was great and lively and the bar staff were attentive and friendly. It was full of locals which is always daunting and my friend and I are from The North....however this didn’t mean we were any less welcomed and we had such an great night there. It was a shame we were only in Camberley for one night otherwise we would have gone back. Thanks for having us!!!

While looking for somewhere to eat during a working trip I came across the Bear which is in the pedestrian area of the town and close to car parks.

This is a pretty small pub, but has been done up nicely and has a few tables outside which catch the sun in the afternoon - not bad for February! Popped in for a quick lunch and pint - decent ciders on draught (Stowford Press and Strongbow Cloudy Apple I think). Lunch was delicious, and very filling - I had jacket potato with cheese (lots of it and not melted ) and home made coleslaw, plus a dressed side salad. My sister in law had nachos with sour cream, salsa, guacamole and chilli cheese, which were tasty, and my brother had a fried chicken burger which came with chunky chips. There was a good selection of dishes on the menu and it was all reasonably priced - just what you want from a pub. Friendly service at the bar too.

Each time I visit England I need my fix of fish&chips; as where I live they are a bit hard to come by.

The first time we had been in this place for lunch. The boards outside tell us that the food is locally produced and that the meals on the menu are home made cooking. Well we didn't expect the amazing food that we were served. The meals we chose were the steak and ale pie and the chicken with tomato and pepper sauce. Both were very good. The service was friendly and efficient. Although we chose beer and soft drink we noticed that the wine list was full. The toilets were clean although not a lot of room in each cubicle - the pub was originally the Ancient Foresters and these (I remember) are the old cubicles but revamped. Although the pub is on level ground with no steps I would say the toilets could be an issue for wheel chairs - I would suggest a phone call first - I didnt see a disabled facility but that doesnt mean there isnt one. We would definitely recommend this place. We will definitely go back to eat and probably take our dog next time - as thankfully she is allowed inside !! We have been here for evening drinks before (when John at Rock Box left) and we think that for just drinks this would be a nice place for a group meet up too.

Haven't been to the bear in a long time and was pleasantly surprised it has had a major refurb and looks great. The food was of a very high standard we both had the burgers and they were great.The menu has a good selection of various dishes for different tastes all reasonably priced.The landlord was very attentive it's a definite return thank you.

Ate with family, very good food, well priced, friendly staff, all in all a great experience. Throughly recommended if you are eating in Camberley.

Called in here today whilst out shopping - food was excellent; fish n chips, chicken burger with sweet potato fries and a jacket potato with cheese and beans - could not fault the place very warm and comforting with great service. Will defo call in again.

Visited with my mum as we needed something within walking distance and I'd heard this place was nice. It is! It's lovely looking inside and feels very cosy. I really enjoyed my meal, duck with celeriac puree - my mum had a few grumbles about her pork belly and had to ask for the promised seasonal veg, BUT afterwards she was asked for her honest feedback and they seemed happy to get it, complaints and all, which is great to see. We arrived at 6 and it was fairly quiet, got busier by 8 but there was still seating available. Decently priced wine and some very nice lager, Kozel. Could have stayed for hours. Monday night is the pub quiz which we didn't have time to join, but I want to go back for it! Definitely the nicest pub in Camberley.

The Bear is a great inner city pub. First visit was a Sunday night it was very quiet. However during the week on other visits during the day it was buzzing with atmosphere, drinkers , dinners. Interesting interior plenty of board games to play and books to read. The food was very good typical of a pub menu but it was all very nice I had the burger was very happy with our food and our visit to the Bear.

Seems to be overall a nice town centre pub. Better than Carpenters Arms or Surrey Arms, with a really nice vibe and pleasant environment . BUT the Management clearly has preferences over certain regulars (not always a bad thing to have loyalty for your regulars btw) however they appear to let personal relationships get in the way of running an even more successful business,. A good business Manager should have a more balanced view and not judge people they don't know. There are a lot of successful career people in Camberley who spend money in this pub on a regular basis. Don't let personal views affect your business , reputation can make or break a business...

The food at the Bear is always of a high standard and all locally sourced. Mainly Gastro style food but good to perfection. Go and try it

Great food friendly welcoming pub nice decor very pleasant service Just popped in for a bite of lunch on my own whilst shopping.

The food here is amazing we had the cambembert cheese starter with jacket potato with chipolata chilli and again with cray fish and prawns. If you like home cooked food (not prepacked microwaved rubbish) you won't be disappointed here. Beer is also fantastic, Kozel Czech beer which is 4% and full of flavour. Definitely worth a visit, I know I will be returning.

Outside seating for plenty so you can people watch! Inside nice and cosy with lots of seating too, good selection of bottled beers and ciders and some great Italian beers on tap. The owner is a pleasant man and very amiable a credit to local business. The menu is relatively small but bloody good burgers, made fresh from locally sourced meat from a local butcher, a real treat. I have to say that the beef burger is the best in Camberley and I have been to all the specialist burger joints and The Bear wins hands down. Great chips according to my missus and coleslaw is a luxury type, very tasty meal and not expensive. Defo come here again

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime and wasn't disappointed - fortunately the food was worth waiting for. Good menu and reasonable prices. Would have rated 5* had it not been a 30 minute wait for the food. Corned beef hash was lovely. Staff very friendly. Would recommend and visit again. Child and dog friendly.
