The Beach Restaurant in Conwy

Went to the cafe yesterday after having breakfast in Llandudno. Staff looked at me like I was ordering something ridiculous.. only asked for a Latte with one shot..or less.. simple. Seemed difficult to comprehend and got a lecture on how the coffee comes out the machine..just like any other 🙄... anyhow mrs unfriendly finally brought it out .. couldn't believe my eyes ..talk about a small glass... like a baby glass.. I was finished before my friend got three sips into his Americano🙄 so double check the size before you buy as believe me it's smaller than a Costa small.. I took a photo after instead of before 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ it was priced at £3.25 but I'd rather pay £3.50 for a decent size one. I wanted another one to drink while my friend drank his but on principle I wasn't going to pay £6.50 for technically one latte!!! This place is known to be pricey..I won't be going back. Far better choices 5 minutes down the road in Rhos on Sea 🙄

We are regulars now as we always enjoy our visit wether we have the delicious pancakes with a scoop of the lovely ice cream or the Sunday Roast. We have never found the staff other than delightful and appreciate their friendliness and attentiveness which must not always be easy when working in the Hospitality Industry these days. A big thank you to you all.

Asked the lady serving to make sure that it was only light and reiterated that I would like only a really small amount of sauce. Came out swimming in sauce. Went to pay at the end and asked if she had told the kitchen and she said that "I wrote 'not too much sauce' on the order". No sorry or anything. Like I said at the start, usually good, but whoever was serving on the 20th Jan is probably not the person that they should have front of house if they want people to come back.

The bright and cheerful seaside decor, along with the friendly and attentive staff, contributed to a pleasant atmosphere. It's great to see that the cafe is still well-maintained and very clean. The menu seems to offer a variety of options to cater to different preferences. The mini fish and chips, prepared as per our request (asked for lightly battered and it was perfectly cooked) and the flatbread shredded duck with hoisin were delicious. Fantastic beach view cafe/restaurant, the food was nice but they didn't have a few meals from main menu which we wanted to try , good reason to go back 😋 the views are spectacular and there's parking on the front or down the side streets. Very cool ice cream bar open in the summer months.

One of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere.

Me and my wife have tried to eat at this cafe four times, every time we go in and wait for someone to seat us, they just give looks and do not communicate, I have tried to say hello but they have walked off, avoid.

Stunning views and great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The waitress was friendly, despite the very slow service. The two slices of bara brith were actually two thin slithers. Lovely sat outside in the sunshine, despite the breeze, but will not return.

We rented an air bnb a few doors away from here and popped in here a few times over our week there, the breakfasts are amazing, tasty, filling and great value for money, staff are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Love this place! The vegan and gluten free options are fabulous. The staff are friendly and really make it a lovely place to stop off and eat something delicious. The views are lovely and it's dog friendly! Add The Beach Cafe to your must visit list :)

We went here today after a lovely stroll along the promenade, this place is a gem! Beautiful food! The homemade bread and the tomato and mascapone soup were amazing! Thank you guys 😊

Food is excellent but a little on the pricey side tbh. Service was very good and outside seating is dog friendly.

We often go here for coffee and cake but decided to have a meal today.The service was good and the view from the restaurants garden was lovely but the food was a let down.I ordered the burger which was overcooked and the portion of chips was tiny.My wife had the crab and prawn linguine which tasted nice but the portion size was very small with hardly any crab or prawns Some of the reviews were good but that was not our experience today

Everything was lovely shame about the price £9;95 for a ham sandwich and small bowl of chips bit steep,the noodles on top of the chicken satay skewers were very hard could not eat them ,apart from price it was very nice,lovely location staff very nice

A pleasant experience would recommend

Very dissapointing visit after hearing decent things about the place. Food was mediocre to say the least. Luke warm chips and a prawn sandwich that was on dry bread and not even a sniff of the promised Rose Marie sauce. How a glass of coke costs more than a half of decent lager too was mind boggling. Prices too were very much on the top side. A prawn sandwich for £11, I think not. We will not be returning any time soon.

Visit 2: Prices have somehow increased. Still a small fry-up for a ridiculous price. The pancakes were stodgy and rubbery, practically inedible. Visit 1: Good food but a bit overpriced for what is essentially a standard fry-up

Fantastic fresh food, great staff, beautiful view!

Warm and welcoming, helpful and pleasant staff, food was tasty, if a little overcooked. One may think that a breakfast for two consisting of a sausage, an egg, a slice bacon, a slice white pudding, , beans ,mushroom, half a tomato and a pre buttered slice of toast and a tea and coffee @ £29:30 is too much The cafe is a little off the beaten track but is just of the prom with fantastic views. The parking is extremely limited and on street, the adjoining main road has double yellows. Overall not a bad experience

Lovely little place. Food was so good, we had the fish and chips and it was very tasty. They have several desert selections but the cakes are fantastic, you can tell they are fresh. Service was fantastic. Very popular. Parking nearby is a bit of a pain since the main road has been redesigned but if you're in the area walking I would recommend stopping by.

Stunning Veggie Breakfast. One of the best if not the best I’ve ever had and very good value too! Lovely variety on the plate and perfectly cooked. Going back tomorrow!

We have been coming to the Beach Cafe for a long time now and this morning received excellent customer service from Mark. He is new to The Beach Cafe and gave us friendly professional service. Our vegetarian breakfasts were delicious as always and we sat outside in the sunshine. Will be back soon and hope that Suzie or Mark are working as they make you feel welcome.

Quieter than other years I've been visiting, has gone very expensive, and poor quality, food seemed to of changed to Mediterranean? Crockery was very tea stained, and a very long wait to be served

Whilst this cafe is located in a wonderful position, the food is not of the standard nor value that we have found in the rest of Britain. Extremely expensive and quality was not there. On our entire trip we have not paid 16 pounds for a salad. The salad was ordinary and unfortunately drenched in dressing that spoilt it. Fish and chips dry. However, the staff were quite nice and the atmosphere is "beachy" if you like that. So perhaps if you plan to visit, stay away from salad and fish and chips and choose something else.

I’m not one to write a review but this deserves one for all the wrong reasons, especially considering the staff never asked us how our food was. Awful, don’t waste your money. Customer service is so poor, aswell as the food. Firstly, I asked for a coffee but less water as I like it strong, the lady spent a while writing a note regarding the coffee, even though it was simple, just less water and it still came as a full cup and tasted of brown water. I ordered a halloumi salad with olives, peppers, and pesto dressing, it came with no olives or peppers, instead it had some kind of grain and tomato’s? The menu was very unclear. My boyfriend ordered chicken, Wensleydale and cranberry flatbread but asked for no cranberry presuming it was sauce, the girl said this was okay, however, when the flat bread arrived, it was just dry roast chicken between bread (the type of chicken you get pre cooked from Asda) he asked is this meant to have cheese in where the girl replied I don’t know let me check…and what she didn’t know or tell us was it’s Wensleydale cheese with cranberry in. In most cases they’d come back and tell us instead they proceeded to serve an anemic looking flatbread. Instead of asking if you want the cheese to be added once we’d asked if it comes with cheese she was about to walk off, but it seems pointless paying to just eat chicken and bread. It’s ridiculously over priced, £13 for the chicken and £16 for the salad. There was zero customer service skills at no point, they asked if our meal was ok, probably because they knew it was so bad. They just lacked so much personality, especially the senior lady that gave us our bill, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Having been here last year,it has gone downhill,terrible.we asked to have a tea stained cup changed,and the waitress said,it's not dirty !!but changed it,the food was terrible,service terrible,and it wasn't busy.and expensive.would not recommend.

Visited June 23 on recommendation of friends. We had lunch of sandwiches and soup. Food was excellent and service extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. Lovely location too. Would thoroughly recommend

Terrible service, we waited 45 minutes before our order was taken. Very noisy, you couldn't have a conversation with the people at your table. It is not a patch on how it used to be

Really lovely food. Staff are very friendly but the service was disorganised and quite slow, we had to wait for some time in the busy doorway before being greeted. It was a busy lunchtime and perhaps they were understaffed? Nonetheless food was excellent, the atmosphere was comfortable and the place is very clean. Much better than many of the cafés nearby.

Oh it was such a treat, such a lovely airy Cafe. The staff so welcoming, and the food delicious. But what stood out for me was THE most delicious milkshake. I've never ever had such a delicious and lovely looking milkshake in my life. Thank you lovely people of The Beach Cafe, for making my Saturday morning such a memorable one for myself, husband and my dear friend.

Beautiful location.Food was excellent.Staff very helpful.Wish we had sat in a different place as was very cold when they opened door to serve outside but this is not a complaint and we will be back.

My partner and my Mum had really nice lunches this week, baked potato with tuna and the pate with chutney. My mini fish n chips though was very poor, overcooked batter around a tiny amount of fish. It was billed on the menu as ‘half a haddock’, I had about 3 mouthfuls out of it for £10. I’d say more like a quarter of a haddock!

Beachfront very clean staff very friendly

Excellent hospitality from the staff. At peak times there can be a small wait for food due to demand / kitchen staff resource. They are a local business who are experiencing the rewards of good quality by having a lot of customers! Outside seating available, for food & drinks. Inside several tables seating 2-8 as standard. Food was reasonably priced, a somewhat simple range available & the preparation fairly straightforward. I would recommend for the excellent service.

Goats cheese ciabatta was delicious. We asked for a jug of water as well and our waitress was friendly and went out of her way to address our requests. Reasonably priced baby today’s standards. Great experience.

Igényes, tiszta, kellemes hangulatú hely, hideg és meleg ételekkel egyaránt. A puboknál kicsit drágább, de sokkal igényesebb menüvel és tálalással. A kiszolgálás kifogástalan volt, fiatal, nagyon kedves, udvarias, mosolygós felszolgálók. Kint ülve a tengerre és a hegyre is ráláttunk, és mivel nem voltak sokan, nyugodt, pihentető érzés volt a napon elfogyasztani a rendelésünket. A hely méretéből gondolom, hogy szezonban, jó időben forgalmas hely lehet. Látogatás ideje: március vége, hétköznap délután.

Group of nine turned up, we hadn't booked. We were accommodated by a cheerful waitress who was happy to rearrange furniture, take our orders promptly and served us our various snack/light meals. Facilities were spotless too. Definitely go back there.

Visited for breakfast in summer, was delicious and well worth money. Outside garden overlooking the sea great place for coffee on my morning walks in summer. Last visit January invited to a Birthday Lunch, 3 course meal, beautifully presented, large portions and served by great happy staff

First visit to the Beach Cafe this morning. Lovely food, good value, excellent coffee, friendly unobtrusive staff. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends and family.

The bara brith they serve here is superb! Seriously just off the top off the deliciousness scale. Rich flavour, moist, almost waxy texture, dark teaky colour. Probably the most scrumptious piece of fruit cake I’ve ever eaten. I stopped here while cycling and there was even a rack for the bike. Top marks!

Fabulous breakfast! This gem of a place has the best breakfast menu in the area. My partner wanted a traditional full breakfast but I chose the scrambled egg, smoked salmon and avocado and I can honestly say it was the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever...

Good atmosphere & very friendly staff, but we had to enquire about our order as it was a long time coming & people had their food before us. We'd only ordered scones. This has happened on a couple of occasions. The scones were rather dry.

Popped in by chance and left really impressed! Service is quick and friendly, homemade pancakes are amazing (both my partner and I chose to have them) and we’ll deffo be coming back !

Nice location, decent food. We had lunch here then walked to angel bay to see the seals then on to the little orme.
