The Beach Hut in Ceredigion

The breakfast was lovely. However it was ruined, by it being freezing cold in there, everyone leaving the door open. Then them stupidly lighting an old log burning thing outside, that drafted in ridiculous amounts of smoke leaving our eyes smarting, unable to breath and stinking of smoke. Leaving my chest extremely tight. We were unable to finish our breakfast, had to leave the kids breakfast. I’d never step foot in there again. Said to the lady, you need to get rid of that, so she put more logs on it. Horrifying I have asthma and won’t be able to breathe all day and my daughter hasn’t, but can hardly see and eyes are stinging. Need to get rid of that clapped out rusty pointless outdoor log burner, before they kill someone!!

Terrible!! We came in and the place was empty we were then ignored by the girl who worked there and it took 15 mins to get a coffee and Diet Coke. When I complained the girl was aggressive and stormed off. Really poor service and embarrassing!! Thank god we aren’t local and won’t be coming back.

my husband and i came here for lunch it was very busy but the food was wonderful and the coffee amazing i really want to thank the young blonde girl who served us because it was very busy but she was so welcoming and friendly and made us feel special we're in our 80s now and even though someone at another table was being a bit ratty with her she was still lovely and smiley with us an made sure we were happy with everything i had the damson bakewell for pudding and it was lovely highly recomended

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning in July 2023, the breakfast was absolutely brilliant, the BEST vegetarian breakfast I have had in a very long time. We sat outside with our dog overlooking the little beach, llangranog is one of my favourite places to visit in this area and I would highly recommend calling in here for a meal or snack if you're visiting.

Ordered 2 small fish and chips and asked for Irish curry sauce and chips. The chips with the fish was well undercooked and I was told there was no Irish curry but the cafe curry sauce was still being sold so I agreed thinking it would be something you have with battered fish just to be given a handful of fries and to open the sauce and find oily Chinese curry sauce with chunks of bad quality fish inside. Horrible food and awful experience not to mention I was charged £32 for 3 people to have children’s portions of undercooked chips and a disgusting oily fish sauce.never again! 🤢

We had small cod and chips. It was the best I've had in a long time. The cod was pure white and thick. The prices are what you expect these days so no over pricing at all. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the location.

Excellent fish and chips with a lovely local beer. A bit pricey but worth it

Ordered large cod and chips twice, told it would be five minutes. The fish wasn't too bad apart from not being drained from the fryer and batter being soaked in oil. The chips were definitely not freshly cooked, I wouldn't have minded waiting for 15 minutes if they had been. They were solid didn't taste very nice, worst chips we've ever had. Wish we'd gone to Aberporth now, much nicer and cheaper.

960 for frozen chips and 1 can of pop .absolutely disgusting i have visited Llangranog for 30 odd years never again .the final straw was the 100 parking ticket we recieved when we got home ...because of a faulty machine thats obviously being rigged for the scumbags to make money it needs sorting asap they are conning people deliberately .

Llangrannog beach is one of the best beaches in the UK. Not just beautiful, it has a few shops there that do the best food, ice cream and coffee.

Great cafe for light bites. The food was delicious, lovely staff, so helpful. Perfect location right next to the beach

absolutely disgusting the price we were charged, we had two small breakfast, one fish fingers and a few drinks, and that came to £61.00, it does not pay to rip off holiday makers at all, Never heard of such greed in my life,

Take away fish and chips great. Well cooked very tasty on the expensive side but no issues. Eat in meal a different matter … child portions larger than the Adult portions and rather expensive. Staff friendly . Cannot make an Aperol Spritz missed out the soda glass too small ended up in 2 glasses with the Soda on its own 🤷‍♀️ sent back obviously. Think i will give it a miss in the future .

Lovely food in this really quaint restaurant. A really nice find. Fish and chips were fab. Our friend had the lovely fiery fish bun. Wine was nice too.

The scampi and chicken was so nice! The regular portion of chips was a lot smaller than what we have had from other chippys but were very nice! Chips are definitely done per person 😂. Very tasty food!

Staff didn't understand what Gluten Free means and need more training. We rang ahead to check there would be Gluten Free options and were told that the chips were cooked in a separate fryer. However, when we arrived, we discovered that the chips were cooked in the same fryer as everything else, making them not Gluten Free. We were offered to order something from the restaurant menu to takeaway as they have a made without gluten menu. However, many things on it were also cooked in the same fryer as things containing gluten making them unsuitable for coeliacs. This made the choice very limited. I'm disappointed in the lack of knowledge and would recommend the staff get more training.

We’ve just had 10 fish and chips to take away from The Beach Hut and they were amazing!! Delicious fish and the chips were also extremely good - I normally can’t eat much batter or chips but it was tempura batter so in no way greasy and neither were the chips! Totally recommend The Beach Hut!

Delightful view whilst ordering our breakfast, overlooking the bay. I had the best full vegetarian breakfast I've ever had, I usually stay away from 'plant sausages but these were made from bubble & squeak, with the grilled halloumi & rest fresh & all perfectly cooked, so impressed, as I've run b&b's myself in UK & France. My husband so enjoyed his scrambled egg & salmon on sourdough. We so enjoyed our breakfasts, we booked for 'high tea' at 4.30pm, happy sat out on terrace, watching Sea, again food delivered fresh & delicious, I had Greek salad & fries husband curry, yummy. Cafe closes 5pm but offers takeaway until 7pm. Lots of happy holidaymakers using cafe or picnicking on beach from takeaway food offered. We booked for Sunday morning brunch too same high standard. We'd visited relatives & were delayed for our table booking, owner gentcstill pleasant & accommodating. Highly recommend, so much so we are returning for 2 brunches & high tea, for weekend in August re-visiting relatives living in Llangranog. Thank you Beach Hut we look forward to returning.

Lots of empty seats but no tables for 4. We were turned away very rudely...we asked if they thought a table might be available to which he said he didn't know. V odd unfriendly guy. We saw a couple kindly offer to move from table of 6 but he said not to. So v odd. Went to Pentre next door with a really lovely welcome, great pint and gorgeous view.

Ice cream is tasty, but some of the staff were standoffish and the baguette left me feeling robbed. Really poor value, pop to the pub instead!

We loved the decor and the modern fresh menu. And Hannah and her colleagues provided a really friendly and helpful service. I had the cod and chips which was cooked from fresh and tasted great.

Made the huge mistake of ordering without asking the price! Asked in the take away side if we could sit outside as we had two dogs with us. The lady in the chippy side we had to order next door in the restaurant if we were sitting outside which we did, food was nice not amazing which it should have been for £42.00!! Yes for two fish and chips and two diet cokes!! To make it worse two people then ordered in the chippy and sat outside anyway and paid half the price!! Felt really ripped off! So ASK FIRST as the prices are not displayed outside! 🤬

Delicious food and drink with a really cracking view. Nice to see lifeguards on the beach and in the cabin.

We have been coming to Llangrannog for 19 years on and off and our kids always loved this place. Since 2002, the Beach Hut Team has established a top restaurant-café. Whether you want an amazing breakfast, a takeaway, a bistro dine-in with a glass of wine, or traditional seaside fish and chips, the Beach Hut has everything. On 08-Jun, we enjoyed a Cajun Fiery Fish Bun with seaweed spiced batter, a choice of skinny French fries or English chunky chips and a dressed green salad. The coffee was superb, freshly ground and we found the black Americanos passed the test with perfection... crisp, clear and full of punch. Open more or less all year round with some opening restrictions in winter, the Beach Hut caters for everyone... families, bucket and spaders, walkers, newspaper readers... and of course, die-hard surfers and bodyboarders. We were last year in November when bizarrely the sea was as warm as it is in June... a regular thing in Cardigan Bay! So we are hoping to be back later this year... keep doing your thing guys!

Our favourite local seaside lunch place. Consistently high-quality food, great menu, lovely service. Don't take notice of the poor reviews, they seem unbalanced and unfair. This excellent cafe and takeaway is overlooking the beach...a great location.

We had a delicious lunch at The Beach hut today. The fish pie was amazing washed down by a cool glass of wine, followed by a tasty slice of home made lemon polenta cake! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful! Gluten free choices were good too. We loved the ambience and the playlist of music. What a fab place to stop on our coastal walk. Would definitely recommend!

The Reuben sandwich was great, and they serve some interesting lemonades, not just sodas. The staff are all very young and seem to lack experience. They weren't unfriendly, but we had to wait 20 minutes (i checked) before we could place our order. Then it took another 10 before we had our drinks. Another 20 on top of that, before we had our sandwiches. All in all, what was supposed to be a quick bite to eat, had us there for an hour.

Good food, Good location BUT £2.50 for a takeaway can of Coke..Have a WORD and stop ripping off hard working families

Lovely chips that were freshly cooked, friendly staff, amazing view!

Called in to the Beach Hut twice for breakfast. On both occasions the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s dog friendly which is important to us with separated seating so we could sit with the dogs in our own alcove. The food was excellent on both occasions. We had a chorizo hash with kale which was very tasty, on our first visit. Then second time we had smoked haddock on toast and the full breakfast. Both very well done and was exactly what we needed after a refreshing coastal walk.

Great to find this open today after a walk on the beach and a climb up to the Tin Man Superb food and great service.with wonderful biews of the beach

I love chips and this place does em good… Well I don’t know about you but chips are a good use of potatoe meat. Wen they fry the potatose it really makes me grin. Thanks for some great chips lads :)

In the beautiful little Llangrannog harbour you'll find a few good eateries, for a hearty breakfast visit the Beach hut and indulge in their big breakfast, if you like decent coffee they offer that too! Enjoy!

Amazing fish n chips, great coffee and really friendly atmosphere. Try the delicious fiery fish burger - it’s so tasty! The affogato desert (ice cream in coffee) is also to die for 😊 Top notch all round.

Nice food, lightly battered fish, wife liked the sweet potato fries but quite expensive at £5.50 per portion. Small portions of fish @ £7.50 but it was the small bottles of lemonade that at £3 per bottle were quite a rip off

Enjoyed a good Cappuccino here. If you follow any of my reviews you'll probably know I care about good coffee and am scathing about places that can't brew.

Had breakfast here then a takeout fish and chips in the afternoon. Food was very tasty. At first the prices seemed ok if a little high, however after receiving the food and realising how small the portions were (both breakfast and fish and chips) I’d say it is very overpriced. Nice location and staff are polite. In summary nice, not cheap, won’t fill you.

Visited whilst on holiday last week on a sunny day. Great service from staff and fish finger sandwich to die for. All superb and would recommend. One word, the road down to beach is to say least exciting but we'll worth it.

Lovely food. But payment is card only, surely this is a stumbling block for customers to be able to pay for food. How many people now only use their banking app on their phone, very bad reception down in the village as the saga of the car park shows.

We had take away sausage rolls (vegan & veggie options) with chips. After a stroll and a fresh dip in the sea, we decided to grab some food. We went just after mid day on a weekday and it was full booked inside so we just had a take away and sat on the beach. Would recommend booking if you want to sit inside.

My partner and I recently visited the beach hut during our Autum break to Llangrannog. We thought we would have chips by the sea instead of eating in as it was a lovely evening. We ordered 2 portions of chips and 2 glamorgan sausages from the beach hut. The food was extremely expensive and we had to wait ages for it to be cooked. We were so looking forward to our chips.When we finally got our food the portion was tiny, served in a little box. The chips were obviously frozen chips from the freezer and the glamorgan sausages were £5 for 2 which were also obviously frozen packet food. It was over cooked and not worth the wait or money. Very disappointed. I would advise getting a nice sit down meal at the Pentre Arms next door!

Timely, friendly service, clean and pleasant interior….and lovely food. We had the scampi, the homemade slaw, the fries and halloumi fries - all very good.

We visited the beach hut 3 years ago, had great fish & chips, so made the journey to enjoy them again, and we were not disappointed, tasty, large portion and reasonably priced.

A good menu with loads of variety, tasty food and friendly staff. Great views out to the sea. Would recommend if in the area.

Before we get to the review,be aware of the car parking,which has nothing to do with the Beach Hut.The car park has a ticket machine.All the keys have been super glued,so you can't pay with card or cash.There is an amateurish home made sign,with crude writing saying you have to pay Car Park charges within 10 minutes,or receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of £100.Ok,but you have to download an app.You can't phone the company.Only the signal is practically non existent.You have the ludicrous scenes of holiday makers wandering around the car park panicking, trying to get a signal.Welcome Holiday Maker to Llangranog!We need your money to live,but let's make your welcome as horrible as we can.I'm sure the car park is on land owned by the pub next door.Private Land,not a Public Highway,or Local Council owned Car Park.So it's not a Parking Fine,but an invoice.Smacks of a grubby,underhand, money making opportunity to me.This is nothing to do with the Beach Hut!!!!Right then, review time.Beach Hut is brilliant.We pre booked.Warm welcome.Plenty of room.Server got us high chair for granddaughter with smiles.Wonderful Fish and Chips,and desserts.Great value for money.Highly recommended ,but book first.Shame about parking.

Im not sure why there have been so many poor reviews, We had takeaway beer battered fish and chips twice during our stay last week. It was absolutely delicious. Attention to detail in the presentation was superb. Brilliant to see all packaging used here and in the whole village actually was recyclable and not plastic. I agree there may be a bit of a wait for fish and chips but worth waiting for in my opinion.The staff are young but mostly friendly and professional. Sadly didn't have chance to dine in but would book ahead to do so. To be fair Llangrannog is a popular little place so its understandable you'd need to book ahead.

Used to love this place in previous years but really disappointed this week. We booked the table for dinner several days in advance, main evening outing of our holiday. Started with a mocktail which was completely tasteless, literally about 90% crushed ice, so ordered glass of wine (which never came). Dining slot was 90 mins, so we had arrived on the dot. Service was slow considering there are only about 5 tables. We finished main course after around 1 hour and waited in vain to order dessert. Eventually waitress came but instead of asking whether we enjoyed our meal, was everything OK, did we want anything else, just told us we had to leave now! So no dessert for us. Food was quite nice but overall experience not enjoyable.

Walked in and asked for a table but was told by the staff member that they were fully booked and we needed to book online. We looked around to see 5 empty tables of a suitable size. I know it’s difficult times but maybe more effort should be put into accommodating people who are actually at the restaurant and ready to eat rather than people who haven’t turned up.

We made the mistake of turning up on a Saturday evening and assuming it would be fairly straight forward to get take away fish and chips to eat on the seafront. Wrong. Initially we were told there would be a 40 minute wait for take away fish and chips - just for two people, I'd add. We moved out of the queue for a few minutes to decide whether we were prepared to wait or not. Having decided we would order even though a 40 minute wait seemed excessive, we re-joined the queue only to be told they had stopped taking orders. It was a busy, sunny evening so I appreciate that demand may have been higher than on some days but surely a restaurant on the seafront knows there will be high demand in August regardless? To not be able to keep up with demand was a shame and meant we took our custom elsewhere.

I've just had takeaway fish and chips. Average portion for just under £10. A child's chips and chicken goujons (plural on menu) - one single, sorry, little goujon. The customer before me was given 2 so were they running out by the time they got to me and decided they could serve me what they felt like and get away with it? My advice? Go to the pub. You get to sit down and someone else deals with your rubbish.

Visited the restaurant Sunday morning for a coffee and cake, choosing to sit outside. The waitress was taking an order on the only occupied table inside. After a 5 minute wait someone else came out with the iPad requesting our details and those in the table next to us for COVID records and told us the waitress would be out to take our order. We waited a good 10 minutes and no one came. The couple next to us went to the takeaway window and ordered a takeaway. After a few minutes we left. If they had been busy we could understand the delay, but there was no one else there. Disappointing!

Had a very interesting Tuscan (I think) fish stew which was really tasty but a little heavy on the onions and light on the fish.

Returned this year can not believe increase price increases for take away fish and chips. Food was OK. The restaurant was empty but other 2 pubs were busy serving lunch time meals.No price list or menu by outside hatch for take away as main entrance is closed for covid.Won't be using again.

Had takeaway fish and chips. Fish was over cooked and over battered. Chips OK. Meal was very expensive for what is was too. Very disappointing compared to the last time we ate here. Staying in Llangrannog for a week but won’t have fish and chips again. Sad.

We popped in for chips and cup of tea after a long walk and ended up staying for much longer, sitting on a table right on the sea front ~(only outside seating when we were there). The food is OK, but it's the friendly and helpful staff that impressed us. For a location like this, very good value for money. Thanks, Michael

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The interior of the beach hut is excellent with well spaced tables and lovely decor. The view to the sea is great and the menus were extensive. We ordered a range of food including baguettes and Mac ‘n’ cheese which were all really tasty. Would definitely visit again if I was in the area :)

Very expensive for what you get, although well presented, I have eaten far better for cheaper in the area. Chips were dry and over salted. Fish shrivelled at both ends inside the batter, inedible. Seafood platter coating was bordering on overcooked burnt taste and should have come with chips for the price. Won’t be returning which is a real shame as last summer it was amazing restaurant quality food. What happened??? :(

Looked on the menu and saw 2 Welsh sausages and chips £7.50, and thought that sounded fab. When it came there was only 1 sausage. When I asked about this, I was told that they had a different supplier and that these were bigger. If these were bigger i'd hate to see the original ones!!! This sausage was barely 3.5 inches! There was a handful of chips that were drier than Ghandis flipflop. I couldn't eat mine. £15 for 2 portions that would've been less than £5 in a normal takeaway. Absolute rip off and poor quality /quantity.Selling substandard takeaway food at inflated restaurant prices.Avoid at all costs.

Have had a couple of takeaways from The beach hut and the fish is succulent and the added bonus of very little grease in the cardboard boxes is a bonus.Chips were crunchy and fluffy inside an added bonus of the slice of lemon added more flavour to the fish.Online ordering during the pandemic was made easy a d the added bonus of being able to pay up beforehand made it all the easier.I am not sure at £9+ for fish and chips is a good price - but as the fish is fresh daily is an added bonus.

We ordered the beer battered fish and chips using the online ordering system. Everything ran smoothly, the service was excellent. The fish and chips were gorgeous. The cod was beautifully cooked and the portion size was generous.

We stopped by Llangrannog and had lunch from The Beach Hut which was lovely! Ordering online was very straightforward and the pickup was smooth. We each had the salt and pepper squid and chips which was fantastic!

Our family went to the beautiful beach got very hungry so we ordered online.great idea our food arrived about 30 minutes after with a text to say it was ready. We order fish and chips and a child chicken and chips and i can say it was the best fish and chips myself and my husband have ever tasted.it came in lovely brown boxes and the fish was very tasty and the chips were delicious out of this world crisp lovely chips just want you would want and so much more. I could of eaten two boxes very happy and definitely going back when we are back in new quay I would definitely recommend this place i loved it thank you very much you made our day

Quite possibly one of the worst dining experiences! Over priced food, rude staff and utterly ridiculous food ordering. I appreciate that there is Covid but the system in place is just bonkers.. coupled with the extremely rude and unhelpful staff I would about this place at all costs!!Photo of horrific curry sauce! £10 for 4 ‘cups’ All businesses have been affected by Covid however, there is no excuse for terrible food and rude and unhelpful staff.

Was quite disappointed with how expensive the food was, for such small portions.It works out cheaper to order chips and sausages seperate, rather than together. We placed 2 different orders as you can only have a certain amount of items per order. Placed order online, due to covid. Had a notification to ring up as amount of items on order. Tried ringing and mailbox was full. Therefore they weren't taking calls. Pick up was on time, which was great.£9.00 for cod and chips is rather steep. £7.50 for 2 sausage and chips. Food was ok. But would've been better if we had bigger portions, to get our money's worth. Staff were polite and friendly.

Tried to order a takeaway at window and was told internet orders only. There was no line, staff standing around doing nothing. Told em I had contactless & could order & come back later. They said you must order online. Which meant me driving miles back up the lanes to my rental or trying to get a signal in the village. Ever been to Llangranog? Wi-Fi signal is non existent. Never going back.

We were expecting the portion to be larger than it was, however, the chips were very tasty and good for a lunch time snack.

The ordering system was a bit of a faff especially as phone connection wasn’t its best. Once ordered it was a short wait and the food was ready. All was very tasty. Very good chips.

Due to covid we had to order through the website which was really easy to do and they even had free WiFi to use. We ordered lunch which was delicious and the staff were really friendly. We sat on the beach to eat it. Would definitely go back and recommend.

I went to the counter and asked to order food. The girl said they only take online orders. So I thought well fair enough, maybe that's covid related (though no idea how). I tried to use their wifi to get internet to order - impossible to get on their network, which asked me to register for BT internet. But really how pointless - there were two people at the counter. Anyway couldn't order, so no food, had to leave.

We had lunch on the beach on Saturday. It was great. Salad’s are lovely. Fish and chips were fantastic.

Only stopped for takeaway chips. The size of the large portion was pathetic and overpriced. We were served stone cold, soggy chips. Worst takeaway chips in years.

We visited as a mixed family and friends group 8 of us and two dogs ! The food was excellent we would definitely visit again and would highly recommend.

Visited Llangrannog today hoping to buy some lunch after a walk on the beach with our dogs.First problem a distinct lack of gluten free options, the response when asking the question as to what was available was chocolate brownies or chilli. Was told that they had no gluten free bread when in the freezer but could offer gluten free fish and chips. Given the vast array or rather vast lack of choice i ordered two fish and chips, one in gluten free batter. The gluten free one arrived fairly quickly and was quite good, fair portion size and good quality fish. After a ten minute wait there was no sign of the second part of the order, eventually went into the cafe to ask and was told that I had only placed an order for one gluten free . Cancelled the order for the second dish and expected a refund only to be told that I had only paid for one at £12!!! Very glad I cancelled the second lot. 12 pounds for a portion of fish and chips !!!!! These are London prices.Off hand attitude of staff, clearly not interested in providing any sort of decent customer service.Will definitely not use again. The experience in this cafe is replicated in all the food outlets in this village and we have decided that much as we love the area and would plan to both visit and stay again in the future, under no circumstances will we be offering support to the local economy. Sadly these businesses have a captive market given the location of the bay so clearly the prevailing attitude is that there is no need to provide a decent service much less a smile which would clearly attract an additional cost. Not a penny will we spend here on our next visit.

Had takeaway fish and chips for lunch. While I can’t complain about the staff or service - perfectly friendly and swift - the food itself was pretty poor. Soggy batter on a bit not particularly nice piece of cod. Chips were a bit hard, almost as if they had been pre-cooked and finished off in the fryer in the takeaway. Wouldn’t recommend.

Myself and my partner had takeaway here yesterday evening. We were really disapointed. The chips did not taste fresh and were not full of flavour or crispy enough (were they frozen not fresh?). I had a burger which was hard and chewy and was served with that yellow plastic cheese. My partner had the cod which was fine but the batter was thick and greasy. The service wasnt great either - little things like I wasnt offered a receipt and was told the food would be 'a little wait' (so 10, 15, 20 mins....I had to ask).Overall this place was charging beachfront prices for what I would describe as bad burger van food.

Went to watch the sunset last night and decided a fish and chip supper would be good, went over to the takeaway at about 10 or 5 to 8, only to be told rudely to go away we have closed! Then to sit and watch them serve other people till gone 10 past 8! With other people going in and not being turned away!The range was really quite full of a wide range of food in it so as a local very disappointed to be spoken to in that manner and they do not deserve our trade and we will not go there again!

We were spending the day on the beach & came here for lunch after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. I'm glad we did!My mother in law & little boy had fish & chips which they really enjoyed, my husband had a tuna mayo sandwich, also good & I had deep fried halloumi with crusty bread & chips which was delicious.It's not cheap but we all ate well.We bought a sourdough loaf to take home as it was so tasty.Recommended if you're in the area.

We had lunch here for the first time a couple of days ago and we will not return, which is a shame considering the amount of time we spend at Llangrannog. We ordered lunch and had to wait over an hour when the restaurant wasn’t even busy, not sure what the staff were doing, have Three young starving children with us and baby, this was completely unacceptable. We only ordered sandwiches, chips with gravy and kids fish and chips. The plus side is they do Gluten Free, the down side the staff lack communication, the lady at the till said she would do GF melt for my sister. When it arrived it was tuna and cheese on toast. They apparently only do a proper portion of chips on the takeaway side and didn’t warn us how small the side of chips were even though we asked for it as a meal. On was meant to be chips and gravy which the lady at the till said she would do in a bowl. When it arrived it was chips in a very small bucket, not even enough for a child, with no gravy. We asked for sauces for the children, ketch up and mayo. The girl bought out an extra small dish that was suited for one or ketch up. We asked politely for more and some mayo, the young girl said okay and never returned, we didn’t see her again during our meal. The kids fish and chips came out after the adults food, so the adults had all completely finished by the time the kids food arrived. And we had to sit and wait as it was extremely hot and we have a 6,3 and 2 year old, they can only eat so fast. Extremely disappointed with the food and extremely with the staff. You could see a high about of staff that seems to be doing nothing at all. You only saw them when they bought the food out. No one checks on your table and they don’t return with anything you ask for. Almost all of the empty tables were full of dirty dishes left from previous customers. There is a small carpark next to the restaurant that you have to pay for. Or you can park at the top of the hill for free and do a ten minute walk down. In high season there is a bus you can pay a £1 for each way, that will take you to and from the free carpark. If we are desperate we may try the takeaway side but the restaurant experience has put us off. We wouldn’t recommend you eat here. There are other places on the sea front to try or take a picnic.

Had the seafood platter that didn't look as good as the photo here. And the 2 who had it agreed it was too greasy. Also had 5 bean curry and halloumi burger. Very expensive for what it was.

Had a meal here on Monday night with friends. It was lovely Good fish. Nice wine. Friendly staff. We will back next week.

Hands down the worst rissole and chips i've ever tasted. The (frozen) chips were burnt and looked as though they had been warmed up from lunch, and the rissole was so overcooked - it crunched! (never had a crunchy rissole before). Don't waste your time or money at this take away.
