Had an hour to spare what better to do than have a sneaky snack and cake.Ordered beans on fried bread topped with a fried egg, mug of de-caff tea and sweetners with a slice of biscoff brownie.Great service even when it was quite busy. All great always back when this end of Whitstable.Dogs are welcome

We popped into The beach cafe to get a takeaway coffee and sausage sandwich with our little granddaughter and the service was really friendly and efficient. The coffees and sandwich were delicious and promptly served. I had promised our 2 year old granddaughter that I would buy her some bubbles for the beach but didn’t know the area for shops so asked the owner where I could go to purchase some, he said if he had a car he would go get some for us. Whilst we were waiting for our food he came out and said he’d borrowed a car and he would go get some for us. I was truly amazed and touched by his kindness and generosity. He was back within 5 minutes with 2 sets of bubbles which absolutely made my granddaughters day ( and ours too!) Thank you for this amazing gesture!

Lovely quaint little cafe, close to the beachfront. Great food, lovely and polite staff. Generous portions of food, reasonable prices! Love it!

Popped in this morning for a takeaway breakfast bap (egg, bacon and sausage) and it was very nice. Good quality sausage and egg and the bap was well filled with bacon. Only wish we had sat in for a full breakfast. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

A great, honest breakfast with lovely service! Not long to wait even with Covid restrictions. Kept us all going till dinner time. Beach to explore afterwards and a lovely walk! Would highly recommend!!!

We stayed the night in the Continental Hotel but having read the reviews of The Beach Cafe, we decided to have our breakfast here, and we was not disappointed. I would rate our experience as a 9.5 out of 10 for two reasons, I asked for my fried eggs to be runny and only 1 out of the 2 was and my wife asked for poached eggs with her salmon but this was not an option, so she had the scrambled. On the plus side, I do not like mushrooms so these were exchanged for extra bacon without me having to ask for extra!!!...….The food was off a high quality, well cooked and with premium food (no supermarket sausages or bacon) and the tea which was included for me, was a proper mug of tea. Great food, great location and very reasonably priced, well done.

Fantastic place for breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast done just right. Friendly, large space. Defo the ‘go to’ place for filling up before a long walk along coastal path. We didn’t need to eat again till the evening.

Great little find ... busy Saturday morning but friendly staff and best of all the gluten free breakfast and clued up staff . I’m always nervous about eating out due to my allergies but the first thing the staff member asked was if I was coeliac this put me at ease as she clearly knew what she was doing. Fasting blood test at Whitstable medical centre, needing blood sugar boost. 2 bacon toasted sandwiches a sneaky egg on top of mine. Followed by a mug of sweet tea. Magic

Café let us play backgammon for hours, served super fresh sandwiches outside of opening hours, and they so an amazing breakfast.

To make a change from sitting in the harbour for a hour I decided to have a coffee at the Beach Cafe now that lockdown has finished. Plenty of rules in place for covid.But when I entered the smell changed my mind to have a light breakfast.I had two eggs on fried on fried bread, hash brown and sausage with a large extra hot latte. Eggs were cooked good both with runny yolks, fried bread crisp and not greasy. The sausage was good and thick but too herby for me. Looking around the other plates looked good and heard no complaints.Its dog friendly so possibly be back with my dog.

On the hottest day of the year we were served a simple crayfish lunch, a specially prepared dish for child and other accompaniments with a smile and good humour. Made our day after experiencing Whitstable’s poor parking facilities, driving in and out of car parks for half an hour before finding street parking a mile away.

Prices are high and food was only OK. A big Breakfast with Black Pudding was £10, which came with a Coffee, which tasted like the cheapest instant coffee you will find. Then Came the breakfast, which they had forgot the Black Pudding and the Bread, plate was basically dropped in front of me and told that I should start eating and the rest will come out, got the bread about 3 mins later and BP another 5 after that. The sausages have a horrible taste to them, they are more of aSausage and mash sausage rather than a breakfast one. There was 5 dogs in with their owners, and although all were well behaved, I don’t want to eat my food surrounded by ogling dogs. Sorry won’t go back

Decent portion sizes quick service and food is very good. Pricing isn't bad considering what get. Would definitely recommend.

What makes this gem really stand out is the quality of their ingredients by comparison with other cafes. I have visited twice now, both for brunch, and each time the food has been great. Well done!

Busy dog friendly café. Good quality bacon and sausage on the regular breakfast, my wife enjoyed the smashed avocado with feta (very trendy).

The breakfasts here are really good. The staff were very helpful and happy to vary the standard breakfast mix to accommodate dietary needs. The sausages and bacon were good quality and very tasty. Good portion sizes to set you up for the day!!Very highly recommended... Good coffee too...

Two builders, who have made a great effort to sample as many ( usually large) breakfasts all over Kent, feel we are an authority on the subject.The all day breakfast we had here was very, very good indeed.There are many cafes we wouldn't return to if paid, this is not one.Recomended.

A genuine stones throw from the beach. Standard (add day) breakfast, inc toast. Very good, nice bacon, excellent sausage, choice of real tomatoes or baked beans. Nothing too fatty.

Had all our breakfasts here on holiday ... Excellent quality of food , Varied Choice if breakfast and lunch menus and catered for Vegetarian as well as Vegan options . Very impressed . Staff were lovely and a very fast service .

From the outside this place looks like a basic greasy spoon type cafe, but encouraged by other tripadvisor reviews we gave it a try. Our full English breakfasts were delicious, really nice bacon and sausage, well cooked and as a bonus, very reasonably priced. The rest of the menu looked good too. And they welcome dogs inside. Highly recommended!

After cycling forty miles from Rochester in the early morning, three tired friends arrived in Whitstable before ten and headed to the Continental for breakfast! However, they weren’t serving non residents so we headed for the Beach Cafe around the corner, instead! Lucky for us that we did! Clean, bright, friendly and professional, we ordered ‘Big’ and ‘Regular’ breakfasts, each with a little departure from the menu and sat down to await our food! Everything was spot on! My black tea was delivered with the bag on the side so I could dunk to my preferred strength. Alan’s large black coffee arrived as a regular with a promise to refill later in the course of the meal. White/Brown toast, scrambled/fried eggs, beans/tomatoes (grilled not tinned) all were perfectly delivered in only a few minutes. The quality was excellent. All three of us pushed our plates away thoroughly satisfied!

We came across this place on the 2nd day of our trip and loved it so much that we came back on the 3rd day too! Food was reasonably priced and so much of it! They also let dogs in too which I love! Lovely staff and situated perfectly to walk off the massive breakfast!

The breakfast is this friendly, family run cafe is the best of anywhere I have ever eaten (breakfast) although they serve delicious vegetarian, vegan lunches too.

It's refreshing to know there is somewhere left in Whitstable that has good quality traditional food at a reasonable price. The Beach Cafe is clean inside and the staff refreshingly helpful. The lunches arrived very quickly on decent plates and amazing quality knives and forks.

My husband and I had breakfast here. I has smashed avacodos and my husband had the breakfast. Service was very good and the food was hot and very delicious when it arrived. The sausage was amazing on the breakfast. I definitely would recommend.

As a business owner, I attend lots of breakfast meetings #networking. This little cafe provides the best cooked breakfast on the circuit I attend. Consistently fabulous.

Asked for Marmite on Toast and got what I asked for - although, to my suprise, this was in fact not free and so I had to pay for the toast. Best regards

probably the best breakfast i have tasted although i was very hungry at the time ,good helpings free refills tea/coffee , pleasant staff , clean and tidy . only problem is they're looking for a new chef !

Went to the Beach Cafe today for breakfast with my wife and two children. It was a toss up between the Marine Hotel or the Beach cafe but decided on the cafe as they served breakfast all day.

If you own the business and want us to return, please at least pretend that you like your customers. Owner - I think you own it, just couldn’t care about customer service. Food excellent but just felt as if we were inconveniencing the owner. Ladies, you are doing a great job. Tell the owner to take a holiday.

We often come here during our working day for a bit of breakfast. Friendly people and the food is always great!

I was stood at the counter. The woman there didn't stop to serve me and seemed to ignore me. An attractive young man came in after me. She started chatting to him for a while still ignoring me. Then took his order, still ignoring me. I was mildly amused then promptly left.

Fresh ingredients, great sausage and nice filter coffee. A really great breakfast, nice granary toast. All for £7.

A disappointing visit highlighted by abrupt order taking at the counter. A busy period of service clearly influenced the lack of customer service there. I do however thank the young team serving at the tables for a much better level of customer service. I’ve eaten here several times and not previously experienced this.

We have visited Whitstable many times but have only just discovered Beach cafe. Great quality food that is unpretentious, hot and delicious. A great cafe that is in great location next to the sea. Thank you

Seems it’s now closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the winter. Shame as it is close by the swimming pool ( which does not have a cafe). Rather more pricey than it used to be with the previous owner but it serves a variety of coffees ( not the instant blends).. it was lovely to sit out in December but chair pads would be welcome. Not sure I like leaning over the fresh bread on display to pay for my drinks though.

Called in here for brunch with my two whippets. Dogs are welcome inside and my full english breakfast was amazing. No grease and top quality ingredients. The frontage and inside of the cafe looks fairly basic but don't let this put you off.

My niece chose to come here for a relaxing lunchtime visit with all the family (pre-birthday family get together). I checked it out before we arrived and it definitely seems the place to go for a full English, not what I fancied so was looking forward to seeing the menu.

We had a great breakfast here,if I'm being picky the eggs were a bit overcooked but the rest was great.Sausages were the star of the show not the usual bland cheap ones you get in most cafes,proper pork with herbs and service was friendly and efficient.For a fry up it was pleasantly non greasy too.

Had a breakfast and I was sooo satisfied fresh produce, good quick service worth every penny the barista made me a lovely cap and the waitresses were so helpful when my son spilt his milk definitely worth a visit:)

This is a great place to eat. The food is quick, tasty and homemade. The staff are friendly and access is good. This is a good stop for cyclists and we stop here frequently. A great place all round.

The cafe is dog friendly, most are not now days. The Food Is good a little pricey, but don’t let this put you off. Staff friendly and we would use again.

Quite a pleasant little cafe for a quick snack but how on earth it’s the number one in Whitstable is beyond us. We went for lunch with friends and although it was ok it certainly wasn’t anything special.we chose this place because it was no.1 on trip advisor. You have to order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Two of us had the honey roast ham egg and chips. We were expecting some nice slices of ham, this wasn’t honey roast and was very thin slices out of a catering pack I would imagine. The eggs I have to say were the best part of the meal, nicely cooked and lovely yellow yolks. The chips were average. The others had sandwiches which were very disappointing. I couldn’t help but notice that a lot of people had left a lot of their all day breakfasts. Apparently the coffee was good.

We love the beach cafe, we always take friends and family there when they’re over. It’s simple, lovely well cooked food, always piping hot, served but nice friendly people.

Found this cafe on the off chance. what a find it was food was amazing and staff were super friendly. Dog friendly cafe which was great for us as we had our dog with us. One of the ladys that worked there came out with a sausage for him and made him feel just as welcome as they did us. Went back a few days later and it was exactly the same treatment. Will definitely be back and would recommend in a heart beat. Also if you like iced coffees give theirs a go. I have tried many iced coffees and can honestly say its one of the best ones ive ever had.

On a rainy windy day this was a gem of a find! Amazing vegetarian options and kids enjoyed their choices too! Great choc brownies ! Very chilled vibe and a nice place to shelter from the elements!

Whitstable is becoming a bit trendy. As a result some cafes and restaurants obviously feel they can charge Shoreditch prices.

Visited here for breakfast before a long drive home after a holiday. We had a regular, veggie and gluten free breakfast and all were superb and really tasty. Gorgeous fresh apple juice as well. Even our dog was made welcome. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Went for a birthday brekkie, staff were really friendly and helpful. Came over and asked the birthday boys name - brought out brekkie with a candle and sang happy birthday - really went the extra mile. Much better value for money than certain local restaurants, way more personal and friendly with awesome food which was brilliant value for money. Will be back. Thanks, keep up the good work.

Had a very tasty lunch after a few hours of windsurfing. Really hit the spot. The sandwiches are well-made and generous. Fries (pommes frites) are hot and crunchy. All the other dishes we saw being served looked well-prepared. The restaurant sort of reminds me of some of the independent cafes on the California coast -- like the Beach Hut in Manhattan Beach, which served curry, rice and eggs.

Had a wonderful lunch with the family and had great service and properly nice food - def one to try out over the other more fancy places in town !

Been here twice in the last couple of weeks and had the Full English, then Fish Finger sandwich. Both of which we absolutely delicious!

This place is just fantastic. On the front overlooking the sea and the food was delicious. Fresh, huge choice and the “big breakfast” was wonderful value for money.

I very much enjoyed my big breakfast! Very good value for money and nice staff who were very obliging when it came to swapping items with the breakfasts. A little gem.

We took our small pooch into cafe after seeing a few weeks earlier that dogs were allowed in on a leash and ordered a big breakfast and for my wife a gluton free one. The cafe was full of people and there was laughter and chatter galore as people got stuck into their meals. The tables, chairs and cutlery took me back to when I was a child and the whole atmosphere wassuperb. The food was very good and cooked by someone who cared how it was preapred. We left that cafe with full bellies and a smaile on out faces. Even our dog was well behaved under the table as I fed her some bits.

Great service. Foods even better. Will be back again in the morning. Can't get enough of that beautifully cooked breakfast.

My mum treated me on my birthday to a fabulous breakfast, all freshly cooked and piping hot. Decent size mug of coffee or tea. Great variety of breakfast combinations to choose from on the menu.

Visited The Beach Cafe for the first time, building work happening outside and don’t be out of from the surrounding area, this is a little paradise, beautifully yet simply decorated. The menu is on chalk boards and everything freshly cooked.

We had a day out in Whitstable Kent and our first stop was for breakfast.

Enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast with my family today - fresh, local ingredients and a lovely chorizo hash special. The staff were really welcoming and made us feel at home. Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely lunch here. Good coffee and lovely fresh sandwiches. This is a cafe, without pretensions to be anything else. And that's fine. However it is one of those places that just smacks of, not quite meanness, but over-control. Why charge a few pennies extra for decaff coffee or soya milk. They probably do cost a little more but it is surely unnecessary to be explicit with customers: it sets an uncomfortable tone

Ended up having to park and wait for hour waiting for relatives. Walked Billy along sea front this gave me an appetite so me and dog popped in The Beach Cafe to have a bit of breakfast, I ordered 2 fried eggs beans toast and sausage plus a large latte. The place was packed found a table near the door just right for me and Billy.

I can only vouch for the breakfast but it’s top notch with quality ingredients and unlike the more expensive so called trendier establishments down the town your tea is included, with free refills. Get there early at the weekends it gets busy and rightly so.

I had breakfast here this week and what I liked about it, apart from the great food, is that everything is piping hot served on a warmed plate plus the best cappuccino I've had in ages. If your visiting Whitstable I strongly recommend you search this place out.

I often cycle into Whitstable and have a Bacon sandwich and a cup of tea, at the Forge, as it was chilly I decided to have a full English indoors, I decided on the Big Breakfast with extra 50p Black Pudding. At £9 there may be cheaper elsewhere, but the quality of the food and service is worth the money, plus free refill on your tea of coffee. The Sausages are lovely which are sourced locally.

Been in twice in the last month for breakfast and lunch. Enjoyed mushrooms on toast - yummy. Also had a lovely lunch Too with family. Love catching up with the locals and chatting to the fab owners, who offer wisdom and sanity in a crazy world :)

Had a short break in Whitstable and ate here both mornings. Great value but this doesn't seem to affect quality of food. Tasty sausages! Tucked away at the end of the beach and we only found it on the recommendation of the owner of our holiday let. Gets busy with regulars which must be a good sign. Almost forgot to mention the friendly staff.

We loved this place and we are happy beeing here as tourists. If we lived here we would gain weight because addicted by these wonderfull cakes and sweets. Please go there and taste it its a dream. Stephan

Had a nice Sunday breakfast here. We had to wait a few minutes for a table as it was busy but that in itself created a nice atmosphere and service was quick so there was a good turnover of customers. Traditional breakfast was good and my dining companion enjoyed her vegetarian sausage. Nice and near the beach so we're able to have a brisk stroll afterwards to walk off a few of the calories!

While waiting for someone my sugars were getting low so I noticed the beach cafe near where I parked.I was greeted by a nice friendly smiling face. I ordered two fried eggs on toast and a mug of tea.By the time I had washed my hands and sat at a table the tea and food was placed in front of me. It looked good four triangles of toast topped by two fresh free range fried eggs. You could tell by the height and the bright orangey yolks. That and the sugary tea got my sugars back on line.I will definatly be back with friends or family to try out the main menu soon.

Love having breakfast here on a Sunday. Veggie sausages are delicious. Good cup of tea. Reading material provided. Nice atmosphere -just really relaxing. Love that it's dog friendly too. Been back a few times now and will definitely return again soon. Even brought visitors to assist with hangover recovery.

I had pretty decent cooked English breakfast, served by pleasant staff.The rest of the menu looked reasonable value, and included burgers, salads, sandwiches etc.This cafe seems popular with dog walkers, with their four legged companions being welcome inside.

We have been visiting Whitstable for a few years but was not aware of the beach café, we are very glad we found it this time round. My partner and I enjoy walking so a good breakfast sets us up for the day. Some may say that the Beach cafe is not particularly good value for money, I would have to disagree, yes it is a tad more expensive then your bog standard greasy spoon but the quality of the food is a hundred times better. There are set breakfasts or you can make up your own. The first day we went I found that the coffee wasn't as hot as I usually like it and the toast was quite pale, the second time we went I asked for extra hot coffee and well done toast and both requests were met. The cafe gets very busy especially on weekends but it's definitely worth waiting for a table. Next time we visit we will try their Friday/Saturday evening menu. A great find and somewhere we look forward to visiting again.

The prices were fair and the food was all cooked just right (not greasy) and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu had a good mix of choices too for lunch/brunch.We will definitely be returning on our next visit!

Lovely cafe - attractive decor and excellent all day breakfast. Gluten-free bread was nice addition. Our group had:* scrambled eggs, gluten free bread and black pudding (very tasty scrambled eggs)* full veggie breakfast (tasty)* burger and chips (excellent hot fries and burger)* pancakes, maple syrup and bacon (well priced and tasty)* mugs of tea and fresh juice.A perfect find on a windy day in Whitstable.They were happy to have a well-behaved dog too, which was a bonus.

Visited The Beach Cafe after searching Trip Adviser. Small car park on the sea front,£1 for an hour, and quick walk to the cafe.On the Sunday morning we visited Whitstable the cafe was bustling with customers with a friendly atmosphere.Tables cleared quickly so we soon got a table.Good choice of breakfasts. We had crab on toast and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Both served quickly, fresh and tasty.Excellent service.All the meals looked appetising and plates empty on return to the kitchen.Highly recommended.No toilet facilities.There are clean public toilets on the sea front.
