Great food and value for money met with very friends welcome service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful and also dog friendly

Fantastic menu thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Tasty pie, could do with a bit more than 1 veg portion included . (we had to order more) Puddings delicious, particularly sticky toffee, lashings of sauce. Nice house wine. Very friendly service.

Although we were the only diners at lunchtime it was a great place to spend time with friends. The food was great and had plenty of choice beers. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating and even gave the dog some treats.

Gluten free fish n chips (done in a separate fryer) 🙂

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Bay Tree. They were very accommodating of the kids in our party and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was lovely and nice varied menu. Looking forward to going back.

Absolutely brilliant!!! A totally enjoyable, relaxing and memorable time at the Bay tree. Arrived to be greeted by very welcoming friendly staff and shown to our table. The food was absolutely delicious with perfectly sized portions. A great selection of ales to choose from. A very clean and very well decorated venue. Our 8 month old son was made very welcome and well looked after. Having just recently moved to the area I'm definitely going to make this a regular visit not only for taking family and friends but also for nipping in for a swift half when passing 😉🍺.

Lovely traditional village pub offering good selection of beers & excellent food. I asked for a side of vegetables, not on the menu, but wasn't a problem. Very good waitress service.

We were visiting our son and had a family meal at the Bay Tree last night. The food and service was excellent. Our two dogs were warmly welcomed. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people in a gorgeous village setting. Would highly recommend.

It's a fantastic place to spend evening with friends and family. Great food and atmosphere. The owner and staff are superb friendly, so you feel like home. Unfortunately, I moved away so I won't be able to visit so often. But anytime I'm around, I'll pop in for fresh fish and chips I miss the most 2 beautiful furry girls ❤️❤️❤️

Well worth a visit. We have been in the village for two weeks and should have eaten here earlier.

Visited the Bay Tree following a recommendation. Very pleased that I did so, excellent menu. Everything was explained by the owner and bar staff. A very enjoyable evening, I will be back.

Came across this pub while searching somewhere local to where we was staying. I’m so glad we found it. From the minute we walked through the door there was a warm welcome, table decorations for my partners birthday, the food was so amazing. We was a little full after our dinner so skipped desert but they again went out of their way to bring us a brownie plate with a happy birthday message. Thank you for making our last evening in York such a memorable one. We will most definitely be back on our next trip to York.

We are local to the pub and decided to make a booking for my little girls birthday. Not only was the food absolutely outstanding, fresh and home made the effort the staff went through to make my little girls birthday something special was nothing like I’ve ever witnessed. Going above and beyond is an understatement. Words cannot express how thankful we are to the amazing staff and chefs for such a lovely evening and such outstanding food! We will certainly be making bookings more often. If anyone is looking for homely yet fine dining food please visits!

Food was just ok, had worse but had better . I had scampi and chips was only a small portion for the money I thought. my wife enjoyed the steak pie

What a treat! Had a birthday Sunday lunch at The Bay Tree after a lovely walk around the daffodil trail in Farndale. The business had recently been taken over by our helpful and attentive host & the food was delicious (3 roasts, 1 fish dish & 4 sticky toffee puddings). I've already recommended the bay tree and we will definitely be back in the future. A good selection of drinks too 😉

Love it here, One of the best beer gardens around and one which will work for summer and winter. Don't expect cheap but do enjoy the quality and atmosphere which is great, staff lovely and food is spot on. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Came all the way from Australia in search of the perfect British roast and this place did not disappoint! Lovely British pub with friendly staff , dog friendly and amazing food and beer.

Wow! What an amazing pub. The staff and other customers were so very welcoming and fantastic with Barney the Labrador! We ate twice during our four day break in Stillington and were blown away by the food and service each time. The roast beef dinner on Sunday was fabulous with the beef cooked to a perfect rareness accompanied by incredible fluffy Yorkshire puddings and super tasty vegetables. We ate dinner again on Wednesday and our beef and ale pies were the best we have ever tasted. Perfect pastry and incredibly tasty and generous filling. Our daughter said her pasta was delicious. It looked it too. Such a shame we live a good four hours away. Highly recommend and hope to return at some point. Thank you for two lovely meals and for looking after us so well.
